(CNSNews.com) – An alleged Mexican drug trafficker awaiting trial in a Chicago federal court claims that the notorious Sinaloa cartel received weapons from “Operation Fast and Furious” under an alleged immunity agreement that the U.S. government made with cartel leaders, in exchange for information on rival gangs.
The defendant in a trafficking case before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Vicente Jesus Zambada-Niebla, also claims the immunity deal allowed the criminal cartel to “continue to smuggle tons of illicit drugs” into the United States.
He wants the U.S. government to provide documents relating to the botched gun running sting operation along the southwest border, arguing that it would benefit his defense.
Operation Fast and Furious, which began in September 2009, saw the Phoenix office of the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives supervise the sale of guns to straw purchasers with the intent of tracing the guns to Mexican drug trafficking organizations and prosecuting their members. The ATF allowed about 2,000 guns to be sold in this manner.
The operation came under congressional scrutiny after it was linked to the December 2010 murder of U.S. Border Patrol agent Brian Terry at the hands of Mexican bandits.
An investigative report, spearheaded by Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) and Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), found that most of the weapons provided to Mexican criminals under the operation were going to the Sinaloa cartel, arguably one of the world’s largest drug trafficking organizations.
In a court pleading filed last July, Zambada-Niebla made the claims about an immunity deal.
Hi Team Sarah friends, apologies for not participating for some time. I continue to follow The Republican race, please be extremely careful who you vote for.
In Australia we have this hideously appalling Government, a minority of the Left with The Greens / communists and progressives, plus a couple of Independents keeping them in government. They waste our taxes to keep in power, there is no way we can get rid of them as The Greens have the power in the senate. Absolute Redistribution of Australian taxpayers money, a massive Carbon Credit tax passed, we have masses of coal and they are into expensive green garbage, electricity bills escalating as are all our services. I don't know if we will ever get our wonderful Australia back,
You must get Obama and his Left mob out.
Best Regards and hopefully a better 2012 to you all.
Anyone is better than Obama, but Ron Paul would be a disaster for the Republican Party and for America.
Atty. Orly Taitz Alleges “Massive Election Fraud” in New Hampshire
CITES FAULTY CHAIN OF CUSTODY OF BALLOTS
by Sharon Rondeau
(Dec. 29, 2011) — Atty. Orly Taitz has posted on her website a video of New Hampshire Secretary of State William Gardner failing to follow standard protocol with state ballots in 2008 and has described it as “massive election fraud.”
Describing the events depicted in the video, Taitz said, “This is the state of New Hampshire flagrantly violating election law. When you gather the ballots, there has to be a chain of custody. Everything has to be secure. As shown in the video, two reporters interviewed Gardner and asked, ‘You were supposed to put all of those boxes with ballots in the vault. You did it yesterday; you did it the day before. Why now do you have all of those ballots and you’re not placing them in the vault?’ And Gardner and another man are just standing there and wouldn’t answer. They asked him the same questions ten times, and he would not answer.”
1. Taitz v Fuddy January 6, First Circuit court, Honolulu HI (Attorney Orly Taitz v Director of Health of HI, Loretta Fuddy). Subpoena for production of documents was served on the director of Health Fuddy. I am asking my supporters to come to court to this hearing.
2. Farrar, Lax, Judy, Mac Leran, Roth v Obama, Brian Kemp, secretary of state of GA and Georgia Democrat Party ( Orly Taitz, attorney for Plaintiffs)- Trial January 26, Atlanta GA. I am asking my supporters to come to court to this hearing.
3. Keyes, Barnett et al v Obama et al (Attorney Orly Taitz representing former UN ambassador and presidential Candidate Alan Keyes, 10 state representatives and 30 members of the military) Petition for hear En Banc will be filed shortly in the 9th Circuit court of Appeals,
4. Taitz v Astrue (Attorney Orly Taitz FOIA against Commissioner of SS Michel Astrue) in the District of Columbia Circuit, no date for the hearing yet.
5. Taitz v Ruemmler (Attorney Orly Taitz v White House counsel Kathy Ruemmler) in the DC circuit, not date yet.
6. Taitz et al v Gardner et al (Attorney Orly Taitz is joined by 5 State Representatives of NH and 4 Presidential candidates). I just talked to a clerk from the Supreme Court of NH. According to rule 11 Supreme Court of NH can assume original jurisdiction when the actions of the agency are outside of what represents normal conduct of the agency. I argued that in a number of prior cases Ballot Law commission and the Secretary of State removed individuals from the ballot for not being qualified, not being eligible. I brought examples of individuals who were not natural born citizens. In Obama’s case members of the commission defrauded the petitioners and the public by claiming that they have jurisdiction to only check, if Obama filled out the form correctly and paid the $1,000 fee. According to the clerk of the court Supreme Court of New Hampshire simply declined to assume original jurisdiction. I do not have the actual order yet. I suspected that, as 4 out of 5 judges of the Supreme court of NH, including the Chief Judge are appointees of the Democrat governors (Jeanne Shaheen and John Lynch). As I stated previously, I will be filing with the Supreme Court of the United States a petition for stay of counting of Obama’s votes pending decision on certiorari petition. As NH is in the first circuit, it will go to Justice Breyer. If he denies, I will refile with one of the conservative justices. At any rate, the case is no longer in NH, it goes to the Supreme Court of the United States. There is no need to do outreach, e-mails and phone calls in NH, as the case is no longer there, but donations towards legal work, costs and travel to prosecute these 6 cases will be greatly appreciated.
The mainstream media has reported this as the "Santa killer." No mention that it was an Islamic honor killing until this Dallas Morning News story. Our daughters and granddaughters are going to be the ones who will suffer because of for this obfuscation and excusal of barbarism.
This has been going on for years. When Amina and Sarah Said were brutally murdered by their father, also in Texas, on New Year’s Day 2008 for the same reason -- having non-Muslim boyfriends -- I thought, this is it. This is going to break the dam wide open. America would not, could not possibly, ignore this horror caused by and sanctioned by Islamic beliefs, assumptions, and attitudes.
And yet America continues to ignore this horror. And more and more people are victimized every day.
We know where Jesus was born, to whom, and more or less when. Were Jesus politically minded, it would not have been hard to establish his status as a citizen of Roman Judaea or to confirm it 2,000 years after his birth. (To be sure, the “natural born” part might prove a little tricky.)
No such luck with our president, Barack Obama. . .
I know a few people who, after watching the clip, will have an instant flash back to their own memories and stories of police work during Christmas time ... some good, most terrible. This is a good reminder to me that those trooper boys don't just live to pass out tickets.
Great Christmas story with a surprise ending.
It is a very moving Christmas Story.
The man who is speaking is our good friend Bob Welsh, who served Ohio as a distinguished State Trooper for most of his adult life.
He now is an accomplished story teller who writes his own epic poems.
Registered Democrats still dominate the political playing field with more than 42 million voters, compared to 30 million Republicans and 24 million independents. But Democrats have lost the most — 1.7 million, or 3.9%, from 2008.
Democratic registration has fared worse than Republicans in Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina and Pennsylvania — the eight swing states with party registration. Republican losses are biggest in Nevada, New Hampshire and Pennsylvania.
The decline is due to a variety of factors. People move, people die, people revolt in disgust. Many are stripped from registration rolls by states seeking to remove inactive voters.
By contrast, the number of independents has grown for years and is up more than 400,000 since 2008, or 1.7%. States with big gains: Colorado, Florida, North Carolina — and Arizona, a possible target for President Obama in 2012.
New Republican primary rules are going to make it basically impossible for any candidate to wrap up the Republican nomination very early in 2012. In fact, the new Republican primary rules make a "brokered convention" much more likely and they also make it much more likely that the Republican establishment will attempt to steal the nomination away from a candidate that they do not like. How exactly they would do this will be discussed later in the article. The key is that most Republican primaries and caucuses will now allocate delegates using a proportional system rather than a "winner take all" system. Back in 2008, John McCain did very well in early "winner take all" primaries and wrapped up the Republican nomination very, very quickly. Nothing like that will happen in 2012. In fact, if the field remains crowded it is going to be very difficult for any candidate to accumulate more than 50 percent of the delegates by the time the Republican national convention rolls around. As will be discussed later on in this article, that would move the power into the hands of the Republican establishment.
First, let's try to understand what these new changes are. Sadly, it appears that even most Republican voters do not understand how things have changed. . .
Welcome to the December 23rd edition of the Urban Survival Newsletter.
This week's newsletter is on the lighter side. The core of it comes
from an article I wrote last Christmas called "Mary and Joseph's 90 Mile
Bugout" that I added to this year. Even though it is light hearted,
there are some great lessons, so enjoy and have a very Merry Christmas!
Know anyone who'd appreciate this? Please forward it on.
Stay safe and God bless,
David Morris

Conservative Bloggers, despite their massive success at wrecking up the leftist narrative, are the chopped liver, ugly unwanted stepchildren, of the American right. What else could explain the stunning lack of support for the dextrosphere by the very people who directly benefit from the largely thankless work that Conservative Bloggers do every single day? Datechguy explains that the #occupy mobs raked in tens of thousands of dollars from liberals, just so that they could squat in parks (often enjoying gourmet food, at least in NYC anyway) and publicly defecate while wailing about how unfair their lives are, but Conservative Bloggers (who exposed all the #occupy crimes and depravity that the media tried to bury) can barely pay their bills. Hell, I can't even buy a can of fricken coffee right now and traffic here is at an all time high!
As a blogger, this hit home (also linked in Zilla's post above):
DTguy: this is the actual reason I quit. I worked over ten hours a day, every single damn day, on my blog, which garnered tens of thousands of unique views daily. Everyone praised me and told how great a blog it was, right up to the time I would need money to pay the bills. Then I’d publish a bleg and get more angry comments about “sponging” than I got contributions, like my own time, hundreds of hours per week, was just… worthless.
It’s not just me. For some reason, conservatives think that media sponsorship is beneath them–why else do you think that even worthy organizations like National Review and Patriot Post have to grovel for money all the time? If they’re struggling, what chance do individuals like you (or me, for that matter) stand?
Conservatives are always bleating about the liberal hegemony of the media, but they want their own media to be free–think Rush Limbaugh would be as popular if his radio show was PPV (or in his case, PPL)? Don’t make me laugh. He’d be no different from the rest of us.
Truth be told, conservatives are a bunch of f****** tightwads, which is fine as a lifestyle. But if conservatives want their own media and yet refuse to support it, then they deserve all the CNN, MSNBC and New York Times drivel they get.
Liberals get the point: you need the media to get your message out, and communication costs money. Conservatives seem to think that communication is beneath them. Small wonder that the only time we get any kind of conservative message is through TV ads from wealthy, pablum-spewing candidates like Romney and bi-government types like Gingrich.
The only thing that makes me at all hopeful for the future is that voting is free. If liberals wanted to take over the process, they’d support high poll taxes, then get rich a******* like Soros to subsidize “their” voters. Conservative candidates wouldn’t get 10% of the franchise under those circumstances, because conservatives would be too damn stingy to pay a tax to vote.
I have several businesses that I could spend more time on...that I SHOULD spend more time on. But I keep thinking, I'm a small part of the "resistance" and it's so important. But, just how important is it that I continue blogging? Or that Datechguy or that Zilla of the Resistance keeps blogging?
That’s not even the worst part. The worst part is that Perry and Gingrich, either one of whom could still become the Great Grassroots Hope against Romney, might not have qualified either. You need 10,000 signatures to make the ballot but 15,000 are recommended since a bunch are bound to be thrown out as false or duplicative as the petitions are scrutinized. You also need at least 600 signatures from each of Virginia’s 11 congressional districts. Romney submitted 16,026 and Ron Paul submitted 14,361. Perry’s total: 11,911. Gingrich’s: 11,050. If they end up getting bounced, the Republican primary ballot for one of America’s key swing states will consist exclusively of … Mitt Romney and Ron Paul.
All four principals -- Obama, Holder, Napolitano, and Clinton -- visited Mexico in March and April of 2009. All four raised the issue of smuggled guns, and each in his or her own way vowed to "take the fight to the Mexican drug cartels." All four supported tightening loopholes in existing gun laws and reinstituting the AWB. All four have denied knowledge of a program named Fast and Furious. All four executives in charge should have known what we citizens now know.
(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – U.S. Senator Tom Coburn, M.D. (R-OK) today released a new oversight report, “Wastebook 2011” that highlights over $6.5 billion in examples of some of the most egregious ways your taxpayer dollars were wasted. This report details 100 of the countless unnecessary, duplicative and low-priority projects spread throughout the federal government.
“Video games, robot dragons, Christmas trees, and magic museums. This is not a Christmas wish list, these are just some of the ways the federal government spent your tax dollars. Over the past 12 months, politicians argued, debated and lamented about how to reign in the federal government’s out of control spending. All the while, Washington was on a shopping binge, spending money we do not have on things we do not absolutely need. Instead of cutting wasteful spending, nearly $2.5 billion was added each day in 2011 to our national debt, which now exceeds $15 trillion,” Dr. Coburn said.
“Congress cannot even agree on a plan to pay for the costs of extending jobless benefits to the millions of Americans who are still out of work. Yet, thousands of millionaires are receiving unemployment benefits and billions of dollars of improper payments of unemployment insurance are being made to individuals with jobs and others who do not qualify. And remember those infamous bridges to nowhere in Alaska that became symbols of government waste years ago? The bridges were never built, yet the federal government still spent more than a million dollars just this year to pay for staff to promote one of the bridges.”
Examples of wasteful spending highlighted in “Wastebook 2011” include:
• $75,000 to promote awareness about the role Michigan plays in producing Christmas trees & poinsettias.
• $15.3 million for one of the infamous Bridges to Nowhere in Alaska.
• $113,227 for video game preservation center in New York.
• $550,000 for a documentary about how rock music contributed to the collapse of the Soviet Union.
• $48,700 for 2nd annual Hawaii Chocolate Festival, to promote Hawaii’s chocolate industry.
• $350,000 to support an International Art Exhibition in Venice, Italy.
• $10 million for a remake of “Sesame Street” for Pakistan.
• $35 million allocated for political party conventions in 2012.
• $765,828 to subsidize “pancakes for yuppies” in the nation’s capital.
• $764,825 to study how college students use mobile devices for social networking.
Left wing blog, but contains copies of Ron Paul newsletters.
For a certain segment of the Ron Paul fanbase, no evidence of his disseminating hateful, paranoid material will ever be enough. . .
[snip]
It's fine to have convictions about things he believes in. But when you voluntarily whitewash his record or choose to ignore it and champion him anyway, you are complicit in supporting the idea that racism and homophobia are morally inconsequential to the process of running for President of the United States. And, while many Paul supporters consider racism a social injury subordinate to extra-legal military conflict, there are just as many who disgustingly handwave at racism because it's an inconsequential burp on the way to more tax cuts, Free Markets, Free Money, Free Black Peop — stuff for me!

Below, I've tried to give helpful general (bold) titles to each excerpt of the various Ron Paul newsletters available. These come courtesy of a zipfile of scans sent to me by reader Heresiarch, who, along with others, compiled it from various sources back in 2008. I have omitted the over 65 pages of scanned federal earmarks Ron Paul requested for his district, in a fit of States' Wants pique. I have also omitted the scans of Von Mises Institute brochures about a Secession Conference at which Paul spoke. . .
All over the world, incredibly dangerous "superbugs" are being created by virologists and military researchers. This reckless tinkering with nature will eventually cost millions of lives because it is inevitable that some of these "superbugs" will eventually get released either on purpose or by accident. When the time comes, we will have absolutely no protection against them. But a lot of these scientists don't seem to care about the risks. In fact, a team led by Ron Fouchier at Rotterdam's Erasmus Medical Centre has created a "killer bird flu" that could kill hundreds of millions of people and they want to publish how they did it. They don't seem to realize that this scientifically created "killer bird flu" could be easily replicated by those that would like to use it as a bio-terror weapon. In particular, a "super flu" would make a great weapon for those that would like to dramatically reduce the population of the world without getting "blood on their hands". Unfortunately, there are way too many people out there today (including many among the global elite) that actually believe that we need to get rid of most of humanity in order to save the earth.
The worldwide recession has forced countries around the world to curb public spending — or risk defaulting on their debt.
The United Kingdom is the latest to tighten its belt. The National Health Service (NHS) — the centralized public agency that runs Britain’s government healthcare system — is being forced to shave $31 billion from its budget by 2015.
These cuts are leading to a precipitous drop in the quality of care patients receive. The NHS has been living well beyond its means for quite awhile. And now brutal government-enforced cost controls are exacting a heavy human toll.
Thanks to Obamacare, America will soon face the same sort of reckoning.
1. Avoid carrot sticks. Anyone who puts carrots on a holiday buffet table knows nothing of the Holiday spirit. In fact, if you see carrots, leave immediately. Go next door, where they're serving rum balls.
2. Drink as much eggnog as you can. And quickly. It's rare.. You cannot find it any other time of year but now. So drink up! Who cares that it has 10,000 calories in every sip? It's not as if you're going to turn into an eggnog-alcoholic or something. It's a treat. Enjoy it. Have one for me. Have two. It's later than you think. It's Christmas!
3. If something comes with gravy, use it. That's the whole point of gravy. Gravy does not stand-alone. Pour it on. Make a volcano out of your mashed potatoes. Fill it with gravy. Eat the volcano. Repeat.
4. As for mashed potatoes, always ask if they're made with skim milk or whole milk. If it's skim, pass. Why bother? It's like buying a sports car with an automatic transmission.
5. Do not have a snack before going to a party in an effort to control your eating. The whole point of going to a Holiday/Christmas party is to eat other people's food for free. Lots of it. Hello?
6. Under no circumstances should you exercise between now and New Year's. You can do that in January when you have nothing else to do.. This is the time for long naps, which you'll need after circling the buffet table while carrying a 10-pound plate of food and that vat of eggnog.
7. If you come across something really good at a buffet table, like frosted Christmas cookies in the shape and size of Santa, position yourself near them and don't budge. Have as many as you can before becoming the center of attention. They're like a beautiful pair of shoes. If you leave them behind, you're never going to see them again.
8. Same for pies. Apple, Pumpkin, Mincemeat. Have a slice of each. Or if you don't like mincemeat, have two apples and one pumpkin. Always have three. When else do you get to have more than one dessert? Labor Day?
9. Did someone mention fruitcake? Granted, it's loaded with the mandatory celebratory calories, but avoid it at all cost. I mean, have some standards.
10. One final tip: If you don't feel terrible when you leave the party or get up from the table, you haven't been paying attention. Re-read tips; start over, but hurry, January is just around the corner. Remember this motto to live by:
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate and wine in one hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"

The Black Vault internet archive opens up FREE hosting, and full credit, to researchers who want their FOIA documents online and available to the world at no charge.
NORTH HOLLYWOOD (BlackVault) – December 18, 2011 – As 2012 is right around the corner, the world is sure to face new challenges, obstacles, and battles to overcome. Some theorize the end of the world in 2012, while others beg for a more open world society to calm the masses.
World governments and politicians alike are scrambling to find a way to bring peace to global uprisings; whether they are peaceful or aggressive. And regardless of where in the world these protesters reside, they seemingly all want the same thing – knowledge and information – whether it be on their money; their future; their well-being; their families; their government or most of all… their future.
Many of the protesters around the globe will probably contest that Sir Francis Bacon may have said their message best, “scientia potentia est,” or as we know it today, “Knowledge is Power.” And to gain that knowledge, some are taking it to the streets, while others, take it to the pen and paper. Well, in 2011, maybe it’s more of a keyboard.
The Freedom of Information Act, or FOIA, has been responsible for the release of literally MILLIONS of pages of knowledge and information. Declassified from the bowels of the U.S. Government and Military archives, very rarely does the public know, or even understand, what is truly available to them. In 1996, John Greenewald, Jr. of The Black Vault internet archive (www.theblackvault.com), realized that problem – and began archiving nearly three quarters of a million pages of this material, which grows nearly every day.
Now, more than fifteen years later, in an attempt to bring the knowledge base of the archive to the next level, Greenewald has opened up the archive to all researchers, organizations and even government agencies that have no time or resources to archive the data by offering a free home for the documents released under the FOIA. FULL credit is given to the submitting entity… individual or otherwise (no credit is also an option, if desired).
The Black Vault has the resources to archive literally millions of pages of records, whether they be textual, photographic, or cinematic. They are not sold – rather they are released for FREE on the archive, and preserved for decades to come.
The submission process is simple. Ideally, the document is submitted in a .pdf format to john@greenewald.com, with your FOIA response letter attached (the entire correspondence chain is preferred, but not required). This ensures you did have an active case number, and the agency truly sent you the document. (The Black Vault is NOT WikiLeaks – and does not release “leaked” documents) All personal information will be blacked out by The Black Vault, ie: any identifying address, etc., but will leave name/agency attached, unless otherwise specified.
Once the document is received, and verified, it will be added to the archive in the appropriate category, and the submitter e-mailed with the link to share.
Knowledge IS Power… and despite its critics, the FOIA has produced some amazing results on the federal, and on the state, level. Don’t let the information you obtain stay in a filing cabinet… share it with the world.
HHS has informed a conference of neurosurgeons in D.C. including ANS and CNS membership that when Obamacare is fully implemented, patients "units" over 70 years old will not be treated, but only allowed to have "comfort care" (i.e. no treatment for stroke, aneurisms, etc.)
Eric Holder, current attorney general of the United States, managed an FBI operation that provided explosives to Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols just prior to the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Building in Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995, according to official documents released during the ongoing investigation into government foreknowledge of the supposed terrorist attack.
According to the documentation provided in the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit brought against the Department of Justice by Salt Lake City attorney Jesse Trentadue, the Oklahoma City bombing had aspects of being an FBI sting operation that went out of control. Holder had authorized the FBI to provide explosives to Nichols and McVeigh, then lost track of both the explosives and their targets. McVeigh went on to detonate some of the explosives outside the federal building, an act that was designed to help anti-terrorism legislation pass Congress. But an additional case of explosives was unaccounted for.
After the bombing, when the FBI learned the location of the explosives, Holder reportedly sent emails to FBI agents ordering them to recover the explosives before they could be found by some other branch of the government. FBI agents failed to spot the additional, unexploded explosives during an initial search of Nichols’s home and offered to spare him the death penalty if he would help them recover them.
The case of explosives was, however, recovered by another law enforcement agency and was later determined to have the incriminating fingerprints of two FBI agents, as well as fingerprints of McVeigh and Nichols.
Shortly after the bombing, Kenneth Trentadue, a government informant, was murdered in his prison cell. His family has been pursuing legal action against the federal government ever since.
In 2001, in a bid to avoid a full release of documents, the Federal Bureau of Prisons paid a settlement of $1.1 million to several members of Trentadue’s family, but his brother refused to drop the investigation and filed a FOIA lawsuit for the missing documents. That suit has been ongoing in the Salt Lake City federal courthouse.
Barack Obama is a myth, our modern version of Pecos Bill or Paul Bunyan. What we were told is true, never had much basis in fact — a fact now increasingly clear as hype gives way to reality. . . . In short, the myth of Obama’s brilliance was based on his teleprompted eloquence, the sort of fable that says we should listen to a clueless Sean Penn or Matt Damon on politics because they can sometimes act well. Read Plato’s Ion on the difference between gifted rhapsody and wisdom — and Socrates’ warning about easily conflating the two. It need not have been so. At any point in a long career, Obama the rhapsode could have shunned the easy way, stuck his head in a book, and earned rather than charmed those (for whom he had contempt) for his rewards. Clinton was a browser with a near photographic memory who had pretensions of deeply-read wonkery; but he nonetheless browsed. Obama seems never to have done that.

This must be a proud day indeed for the Occupy movement. Not only do they manage to shut down the flow of goods from the ports to shopping centers during the Christmas buying season, but they succeed in closing down a start-up business that was providing nearly 100 jobs. That should really teach those investment bankers and stock brokers a thing or two, eh?
Let’s face it the 2012 presidential race is going to be brutal. The GOP candidate will have to be magician to overcome the resistance to massive benefit cuts in the 185 Federal welfare programs. As so many in America presently enjoy those benefits the prospect of losing them will be a major pocketbook issue. The Democrats and their pillow boys in the media will scare everyone silly with their billion-dollar ad campaign focused on “heartless” Republicans.
The GOP essentially has two potential presidential candidates - Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich. Both men are famously successful; Romney in the private sector as a venture capitalist and hedge fund manager at Bain Capital, savior of the Salt Lake Olympics and Governor of Massachusetts; Gingrich in the public sector as the leader of the Republican resurgence in 1994, welfare reformer, cost cutter and creator of surpluses.
The question the voters will have to answer is which man can beat Obama and then fix the economy. It is pointless to rehash their negatives – they both have too many. Therefore let’s concentrate on the two important issues.
Who Can Beat Obama?
As we are learning in the present GOP debates the people are really responding to both style and content. The people are desperately looking for the one who can be believed, presents evidence of past success in major governmental accomplishments and measures up to Obama’s level of oratory.
Although I believe Romney has improved in the debates I still find him stiff and defensive underneath his controlled demeanor. When push comes to shove I believe he would be a stiff Nixon type to Obama’s Kennedy. He doesn’t settle in for the fight and enjoy it like the historian Gingrich does.
Edge to Gingrich.
Fix the Economy
Unfortunately for Romney he can’t hold a candle to Newt’s success in 1994-1988. Although he was working with a Democrat legislature and vetoed 500 bills Romney still ushered in the precursor to Obama care. Newt on the other hand was working against an immensely popular Democrat President. Romney’s popularity with moderates and independents bespeaks of a compromiser. He often speaks of sitting down with Democrats to save Social Security by extending the age of retirement and applying means testing. In my opinion the last thing the GOP needs is a compromiser to fix the economy. The problem is much bigger than one that can be reached by compromise.
Newt proved in 1994 to 1998 that he was the real deal. He was a gunslinger that faced down his opponents and did really big things – things like we face today. Many say this election is a seminal event in America. They fear that America will slide into a European nanny state unless we stop the Alinski, Cloward and Piven-train in its tracks. I agree that we have to stop it; if not now then soon.
Edge to Gingrich.
I believe Newt is the gun we should hire. His promise to follow up within four hours every whistle stop speech Obama makes with an opposition response until Obama agrees to Lincoln-Douglas type debates is priceless. Every time I hear Obama speak I want to go right through the TV set too. In this day of social networking this tactic will destroy Obama until he lays down on Newt’s operating table for dissection just like Douglas did for Lincoln.
The American people demand confrontation just like they do in sports. They want to see the players battle it out in front of them. The in-pocket media won’t be able to stop this tactic – they can’t cede this affair to the web.
I don’t think the final battle will go to the unsuccessful street organizer but to the historian. A historian who knows what is at stake. He will temper his demeanor, actions and proposals to create his own history of success. To do that he must make it our success first.

1. Corzine and Abelow testified again before the House Financial Services committee, and it was another nausea-inducing spectacle. Today's questioning was actually WORSE, because Terry Duffy had lobbed the committee a grapefruit on Tuesday regarding Corzine's knowledge of the customer seg funds being raided and sent off to Europe. (OF COURSE HE KNEW. BACK OFFICE TREASURY DATAPUNCH CLERKS DON'T SEND CUSTOMER SEG FUNDS TO EUROPE OR ANYWHERE ELSE OF THEIR OWN VOLITION.) But, of course, none of the congresscritters were even remotely smart enough to ask about any of that. In fact, one chick congresscritter was fawning over Corzine so hard, I honestly thought that she was going to come down off the dais, crawl in Corzine's lap, push back his greasy mullet, and start blowing in his ear. Her line of questioning - if you can call it that - was along the lines of, "Mr. Corzine, is it possible that no one within the company notified you of any problems because you are so brilliant and awesome and thus people find you intimidating?"
2. The best part of the whole day was Corzine getting served with a big ol' lawsuit as he walked out of the hearing room during the break. A commodity trading advisory service who is hung out to dry for into the NINE FIGURES is suing the top 20 or so executives in the company. AWESOME. Here's the video:
3. Finally, a very simplistic explanation of how the cash commodity markets are soon going to decouple from the futures markets. This is a little complex, but stay with me. I think this is important to understand because none of us who have lived our whole lives in the U.S. have ever seen a market disintegrate.
The threat (or promise) of delivery upon expiration is what keeps the futures markets tethered to the cash markets. Up until now, if an unreasonably wide spread between the futures price and the underlying physical commodity market got too out of whack, a process called "arbitrage" would kick in. Arbitrage is when a party simultaneously buys and sells on two separate but related markets in order to capture an inefficient spread between those two markets.
I'm going to use precious metals as my example commodity because there are alot of metals guys reading this, and because the metals markets will be the big tell in term of when decoupling and thus total futures market disintegration is upon us. But these examples apply to all of the physical commodities.
Let's say that the physical silver market is trading far lower than the silver futures price. This is what is called a WEAK BASIS. The BASIS is the relationship between the cash market and the futures market and is very simply defined as (CASH minus FUTURES). If cash silver can be bought at $25.00 per ounce and the futures are at $30.00 per ounce, the cash is $5.00 under the futures. When cash is under the futures, this is called a WEAK basis.
Up until now, what would a metals trader do? In very simple terms, he would buy the cash silver at $25.00 per ounce and then simultaneously sell the futures at $30.00. Because he has short-sold the futures, he could hold the contract to expiry and then deliver the $25.00 cash silver he bought to make good on the contract and receive his $30.00 price. So his simple net profit would be $5.00 per ounce. As many traders saw this spread and simultaneously executed this same strategy of buying the cash and selling the futures, what effect would this have? Right. It would cause the cash-futures spread to move back in toward convergence by pushing the futures price down (lots of sellers) and propping the cash market up (lots of buyers).
Now the opposite scenario: a STRONG basis. Let's say cash silver is trading at $32.00 and the futures are trading at $28.00. A trader might take physical silver that he has in inventory and sell it in the cash market, and then immediately take those proceeds and buy back and equal number of ounces in the futures market and take delivery. Since the same number of ounces in the futures market cost $4.00 per ounce LESS, he would end up with the same number of ounces in his inventory PLUS $4.00 per ounce in CASH in his pocket. If he and many other traders saw this condition and they all sold cash silver and bought the futures, this would, again, converge the spread between the cash market and the futures market.
The lynchpin that is holding this dynamic together and keeping the futures markets tied to the underlying cash market is the fact that the futures contracts are deliverable, and a trader can either deliver or take delivery of actual physical silver via his futures position.
Are we seeing a problem yet? The futures markets have lost their viability and trustworthiness because of the MF collapse and theft. At some point in the not-too-distant future, people everywhere are going to realize that the delivery mechanism is not reliable. Heck, just holding cash and/or positions in a futures account is no longer reliable. The the market itself is not reliable, traders will no longer attempt to arbitrage these basis spreads because the risk to the trader that the rug will be pulled out from underneath them is simply too great.
And in the metals markets, the delivery process itself is . . . um . . . shall we say, easily corrupted? When you "take delivery" of physical metals, it doesn't get sent to your house. All you get is a certificate saying that X number of ounces are being held in a certified vault somewhere with your name on them. After the MF collapse, that sounds like a joke, right? A CERTIFICATE with my NAME ON IT? Yeah. That really is how it works.
When the arbitrageurs finally lose all confidence in the markets, the cash market will decouple from the futures because no one will be willing to take the risk of having their money, positions and/or physical metals stolen/confiscated. If no arbitrageurs are willing to trade these spreads - no matter how wide they may become - and thus there is no force causing the cash and futures to converge, we will see the basis spreads become extremely wide. As people flee the futures markets, the futures prices will drop, while the cash markets hold steady or even diverge and actually rise as all of the former paper players realize that physicals are the only remaining game to be played.
Watch for this. Watch for the gold and silver futures to sell off as people walk away from paper while the online cash dealers, seeing that market demand for their physical inventory is robust, begin to ignore the futures prices and hold their prices steady or even raise them. When you see this basis decoupling and absence of arbitrage, lo, the end is nigh. A parabolic spike is coming.
Warren Pollock Interview & Other Stuff

Just so you all know that I'm not alone in my sentiment and actually am speaking on behalf of other folks and brokers in the industry who simply don't have the soapbox that I have, here is an email from a second-generation floor trader in Chicago:
Ann Barnhardt,
Thank you for speaking up and calling it like it is. My father joined the Chicago Board of Trade in 1979. I joined the CBOT in 2009. We are customers of MF Global. The day they told me my money had been frozen I declared the futures industry completely dead. I grew up in the industry. I knew there were always thieves, mobsters even, in the business and I saw it from day 1 on the trading floor. But the depth of deceit has reached new lows.
MF Global and the CME violated the only principle that mattered in futures and anyone watching the farmers and ranchers testify yesterday should've seen that something has been broken beyond repair for them: TRUST! If the hedgers like you and your customers won't use the market then what are the speculators like me supposed to do? Well, I believe we're seeing it. The big specs have completely captured the trading venue through High Frequency Trading and are using it to fleece as many people as foolishly remain in the game where no bona fide hedgers operate anymore. The inmates not only run the asylum, they've set fire to it.
I will replay my last interview with Christopher Hitchens --a three hour conversation about his autobiography-- sometime between now and the New Year. He was a joy to interview and a wonder to listen to debate, unfailingly gracious to me, my other guests and my audience. . .
We spent a great deal of time discussing God, and I hope and pray I am correct in my views and that he can concede to me on that subject when we meet again.
I have nothing particular to say about the death of Hitchens. I have always believed that we face a larger threat that requires us to make common cause with people we disagree with and even people who hate us. Speaking as a Jew, Hitchens certainly fell into that category. He was a lefty who made the somewhat unique decision not to follow his movement from supporting Arab Socialist terrorists to supporting Muslim terrorists. That he was one of the few not to do so is more damning of the left than it is a praise of him.
Hitchens hated Jews, he hated Christians and he hated Muslims. That made him an ally of sorts and an enemy of sorts, Benjamin Kerstein at the Jewish Daily sums up most of the relevant stuff. Like others on the Counterjihad atheist left, he didn't like Israel or Jews, but he recognized that Islam was the larger threat.
I see no real point in penning completely misleading headlines like Ron Kampeas' "Christopher Hitchens, contrarian who embraced and battled Judaism, dead at 62". It's about as far from the truth as imaginable, except his name, age and the contrarian part. . .
UPDATE: Obama has dropped his threat to veto the bill and is now expected to sign it into law. Remember – it was Obama’s White House that demanded the law apply to U.S. citizens in the first place.
The bill which would codify into law the indefinite detention without trial of American citizens is about to be passed and sent to Obama’s desk to be signed into law, even as some news outlets still erroneously report that the legislation does not apply to U.S. citizens. . .
With the White House having largely resolved its concerns with the bill, which had nothing to do with the ‘indefinite detention’ provision, Obama could put pen to paper as early as tomorrow on a law that if recognized will nullify the bill of rights – ironically tomorrow is “Bill of Rights Day”.
Ron Paul questioned Wednesday whether he would be able to endure a protracted fight for the Republican presidential nomination, wondering to reporters if he would be able to “hold up” through a long primary battle.
“I’m not looking forward to anything being long and protracted. So I hope it ends rather quickly and we do real well in the beginning of the year,” Paul said while campaigning in New Hampshire, according to CNN. “The organization is fantastic. The question is: am I going to hold up if I keep doing all this.”
Data on sales of previously owned U.S. homes from 2007 through October this year will be revised down next week because of double counting, indicating a much weaker housing market than previously thought.
If you believe in conservative values: Rick Santorum is an experienced--AND PRINCIPLED--politician, a family man, a Christian, and a consistent conservative. Honestly, could we ask for anything more?
...virtually unlimited leverage via the shadow banking system, in which there are practically no hard assets backing the infinite layers of debt created above, and which when finally unwound, will create a cataclysmic collapse of all financial institutions, where every bank is daisy-chained to each other courtesy of multiple layers of "hypothecation, and re-hypothecation."

Possession is nine-tenths of the law.
Judging from my email inbox, many of you are realizing EXACTLY what that old adage means right about now. Many of you have requested to liquidate your 401k accounts, and your employers won’t let you do it. I had no problem doing it because I am self-employed and thus I was my own “plan administrator”.
So, this nasty business brings us around to a very nasty, but inevitable question. Was that money ever yours, or has the entire 401k fiasco been nothing more than an underhanded, stealth confiscatory tax for the vast majority of folks who have participated in it over the years? I’d have to say, “affirmative” to the latter. If you are denied access to “your money”, then honey, it ain’t “your money” and never was. Many of you have been conned into working for a salary that was x percent less than what you were told, with “x” being the percent “contributed” to “your” 401k account. That "x percent" should be added to your marginal tax rate, because it is probably going to end up in the coffers of the United States Treasury by way of J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs, or HSBC, or one of the other big crypto-fascist banks, by way of London, just like the MF Global money.
If you're wondering to yourself who EXACTLY is going to "bail out Europe", or at least make a pathetic attempt at the mathematically impossible so that your friendly neighborhood American oligarchs have enough time to get themselves pre-positioned for the collapse, YOU ARE, MY LITTLE CHICKADEES.
If you are one of the many, many people, or as TPTB call you, "bourgeois, bitterly clinging trash", stuck in this con, the only things you can do are:
A.) CEASE ALL NEW CONTRIBUTIONS IMMEDIATELY.
B.) If there is a loan option attached to your 401k program, take out the maximum possible loan and set up the SLOWEST possible repayment schedule.
C.) Never again enter into an arrangement wherein “your money” is unavailable to you and is anything less than completely liquid.
Possession truly is nine-tenths of the law, and under a lawless Marxist-Communist-Fascist government where the rule of law no longer exists (such as we are in now), possession is closer to ten-tenths of the law.
Without a doubt, this is a German solution for a German-dominated Europe. Germany does not want to pay for the debt mistakes of other EU nations, and so they are shoving bitter austerity down the throats of those that have gotten into too much debt.
But this solution is not going to be implemented without a massive amount of pain.
In fact, this solution is going to make a massive financial collapse much more likely...
Well, I don't know if they actually had dinner or not, I was just indulging in a twist on the 1967 movie of the same name (that nobody probably remembers anymore).
MEK leader Maryam Rajavi addressed the rally via teleconference from France. She said the al-Maliki government had turned Iraq into the “backyard of the Iranian regime” and accused the Obama administration of obstructing a European Parliament plan to relocate the camp’s residents.
“The people of Iran and the United States will judge you on the basis of what you did when you could stop a great carnage,” she said.
“One day, you will severely criticize yourselves for the events unfolding these days and for wasting time,” she added.
A Michigan congressman spoke out against the company's decision Sunday, saying the company is "upholding the beliefs of a fringe hate group."
Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) also said Lowe's is choosing to disregard the First Amendment.
"Our nation's history is full of examples demonstrating how we have repeatedly torn down false divisions hate groups choose to create," Ellison said in a statement."But the struggle against bigotry and hatred must continue so we never give in to intolerance like Lowe's Corporation has done."
Ellison isn't the only politician speaking out against Lowe's. A state senator from Southern California said Sunday he was considering calling for a boycott.
Calling the Lowe's decision "un-American" and "naked religious bigotry," Sen. Ted Lieu, D-Torrance, told The Associated Press he would also consider legislative action if Lowe's doesn't apologize to Muslims and reinstate its ads. The senator sent a letter outlining his complaints to Lowe's Chief Executive Officer Robert A. Niblock.
The Apollo Alliance has now ADMITTED that they wrote the Stimulus Bill AND the Cap and Trade Bill. It will only be a matter of time before America learns THEY wrote the Healthcare Bill too!
The APOLLO ALLIANCE consists of a coalition of UNIONS, like SEIU, Social Justice groups the likes of ACORN and at the helm is Van Jones a Communist that is Obama’s “Green Czar” and head of the Green Initiative. So the triad of these groups are writing our Legislation. America, have you had enough yet?
One thing any American attending any townhall meeting this Congressional recess break should ask your Congressman/woman: WHO WROTE THE HEALTHCARE BILL? WHAT ARE THEIR NAMES?
These photos were sent to me today by an American friend who lives part time in Cairo. You will not see them anywhere else.
This is the exterior of the Media and Information Building.
It is a functioning building which houses the State Television channel, among other things. It is surrounded by barbed wire, as you can see. Not in the photo are the numerous machine gun carrying soldiers guarding it 24/7.
A couple of months ago over 40 Christian Copts were killed while demonstrating in front of this building.
This enormous building housed Mubark’s political party during his reign.
It was burned and looted during the revolution, along with virtually every single police station in the country.
These are typical election banners that overwhelmed Cairo prior to the election. They were huge and they were everywhere. They are done by hand, by calligraphers.
By law, each party's slate of candidates must have at least one woman candidate. However, the Salafi’s who are extreme compared to extremists, would not allow a woman’s face to be shown. So, they would either paint a flower where the woman’s face would be, or even better, show a photo of her husband and say
This man’s wife is running for such and such office.
This was a Muslim Brotherhood rally held about a week before the election. It was so crowded that these people were kind of milling around on the outskirts because they couldn’t get in. Notice the almost total absence of women. This is a few blocks from the iconic Tahrir Square, where the rally was being held.
This is a typical Cairo café. Kind of their version of Starbucks. The fellow in the wheelchair is having a smoke, which is very common. My guess is these two voted for the Salafi ticket.
This rally was held the day before the election. It was sponsored by the Muslim Brotherhood with the the title “Take Back Jerusalem.”
There was a “kill the Jews” chant and theme to the rally, which went over very well.
The Muslim Brotherhood won about 40% of the Parliament seats. They are the more “moderate” Islamists as compared to the Salafis who won about 25%. The Salafis are backed by the Saudis.

Today, I want to introduce you to a proven strategy to feed hundreds, if not thousands or even millions of people after a breakdown in supply chains. This particular topic and the background story has fascinated me for some time, and I’m excited to get to share it with you today.
One of the most frightening aspects of a post disaster situation for me isn’t zombies, mutant bikers, or drug crazed home invaders swarming my neighborhood like locusts. Those storylines are frightening, dramatic, and make good climaxes in books and movies, but they’re not my greatest concern.
Don’t get me wrong, history teaches us that when resources are in limited supply and/or when the thin veneer of society gets torn, people turn to violence and crime in increasing numbers. But even in a society like Mogadishu, Somalia, violence—even daily violence in the rare cases when people are exposed to it that often—isn’t the main concern for most people. It’s something much more basic. It’s food.

Lump of Coal for Brokers: In handing down its final ruling on the medical loss ratio (MLR) last week, the Obama administration left insurance agents out in the cold. Under the new determination, broker commissions were left classified as an administrative cost and, consequently, subject to the newly established MLR requirements. In its statement on the final ruling, the National Association of Health Underwriters expressed its disappointment that the Department of Health and Human Services failed to mitigate the adverse effects that the MLR rule has already had on the marketplace.
My broker has saved me much money and LOTS of time and treats me like royalty. This makes me spittin' mad!
A recent study published in the Journal of Experimental Botany by Fereres, Orgaz, and Gonzalez-Dugo looks at the effect of CO2 on food production in a world increasing in population even as water is becoming increasingly scarce. So what major efficiencies need to be introduced to allow food production to match population growth in this scenario?
The authors posit that our world has become much more efficient in food production in large measure because of the release of carbon dioxide - i.e., plant food - into the air since the start of the Industrial Revolution.

Late Justice Antonin Scalia: On the existence of the Devil
"You're looking at me as though I'm weird. My god! Are you so out of touch with most of America, most of which believes in the devil? I mean, Jesus Christ believed in the devil! It's in the Gospels! You travel in circles that are so, so removed from mainstream America that you are appalled that anybody would believe in the devil! Most of mankind has believed in the devil, for all of history. Many more intelligent people than you or me have believed in the devil."
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray.
And do thou, oh Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, cast into Hell, Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world, seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.

"The champions of socialism call themselves progressives, but they recommend a system which is characterized by rigid observance of routine and by a resistance to every kind of improvement. They call themselves liberals, but they are intent upon abolishing liberty. They call themselves democrats, but they yearn for dictatorship. They call themselves revolutionaries, but they want to make the government omnipotent. They promise the blessings of the Garden of Eden, but they plan to transform the world into a gigantic post office. Every man but one a subordinate clerk in a bureau. What an alluring utopia! What a noble cause to fight!" --Ludwig von Mises (Bureaucracy, 1944. Yale University Press. 1969, New Rochelle, NY: Arlington House)
"Anti capitalistic policies sabotage the operation of the capitalist system of the market economy. The failure of interventionism does not demonstrate the necessity of adopting socialism. It merely exposes the futility of interventionism. All those evils which the self-styled "progressives" interpret as evidence of the failure off capitalism are the outcome of their allegedly beneficial interference with the market." --Ludwig von Mises

"Political ideas that have dominated the public mind for decades cannot be refuted through rational arguments, they must run their course in life and cannot collapse otherwise than in great catastrophe."
"A man who chooses between drinking a glass of milk and a glass of a solution of potassium cyanide does not choose between two beverages; he chooses between life and death. A society that chooses between capitalism and socialism does not choose between two social systems; it chooses between social cooperation and the disintegration of society. Socialism is not an alternative to capitalism; it is an alternative to any system under which men can live as human beings." --Ludwig von Mises, writing in Human Action

Orly Taitz, Esq. 5/19/13: "Let me remind you that in the past 5 years some 45 licensed attorneys filed legal challenges against Obama. Out of 45 only 2 attorneys: myself and Attorney Klayman continue the fight. If you count all the challenges and all the cases in the courts of appeals and challenges in front of elections commissions, I had some 40 cases. Mr. Klayman has only 2, both of which were dismissed by the lower courts and they are now being appealed.
In terms of my cases, 2 were not dismissed yet by the lower courts. One of the cases that is still going on, is a case in MS, where RICO (racketeering) cause of action is filed by me against Obama and his accomplices.
In terms of other cases, not relating to Obama, I had 6 figure settlements in my favor and large, including 6 figure judgments made in my favor.
Nobody won cases against Obama, as they were dismissed on technicalities: lack of standing and lack of jurisdiction, judges are simply looking for excuses as they are afraid to touch Obama."
