CITIZEN TED: WHY TED CRUZ LIED ABOUT HIS MOTHER - UPDATE

EXCLUSIVE

THE LIES:

[From: “A Time for Truth: Reigniting the Promise of America” – June 30, 2015 by Ted Cruz]

Ted Cruz said his mother Eleanor’s first son Michael Wilson was born (and later died) in 1965 while she was married to her first husband Alan Wilson.

Ted Cruz said:  “After meeting each other at Geocom in New Orleans, my parents had moved to Canada…”

THE TRUTH:

Michael Wilson was not the son of Alan Wilson—he and Eleanor divorced in 1963—and the baby was born out of wedlock in 1966.

Eleanor moved from England to Canada in December, 1967

THE REASON FOR THE LIES:

Ted Cruz was born out of wedlock in 1970
AND
Birth Abroad Out-of-Wedlock to a U.S. Citizen Mother:
A person born abroad out-of-wedlock to a U.S. citizen mother may acquire U.S. citizenship under Section 309(c) of the INA if the mother was a U.S. citizen at the time of the person’s birth and if the mother was physically present in the United States or one of its outlying possessions for a continuous period of one year prior to the person’s birth. The U.S. citizen mother must be the genetic or the gestational mother and the legal parent of the child under local law at the time and place of the child’s birth to transmit U.S. citizenship.

CRUZ FAMILY TIMELINE

Nov 23, 1934       TED CRUZ’s MOTHER BORN in Delaware, U.S. (Eleanor Darragh)

1956       Graduated from Rice University, Texas

                          1956       Married Alan Wilson

1960       Moved to London with husband Alan Wilson

                          1963       Divorced from Alan Wilson

1966       Birth/death of Michael Wilson (not related to former husband Alan Wilson)

A McClatchy newspaper review by Maria Recio of the 2015 book “A Time for Truth: Reigniting the Miracle of America” states "Cruz reveals that his mother, Eleanor, had a child, a son named Michael, during her first marriage, who died when he was a baby."  Another McClatchy article states: "Although Cruz in his book cites 1965 for Michael Wilson’s birth and death.  London records obtained by McClatchy show that a Michael Wilson was born and died in 1966 and was buried in Kensal Green Cemetery in Kensington, a London neighborhood."

July 26, 1967      Selective Service registration of Rafael Bienvenido Cruz (NEW ORLEANS, LA): (Manager of Computer Applications at Geophysics & Computer Services Inc.)

December, 1967       Moved to Canada (Eleanor Darragh Wilson)

Jan 1968–Feb 1969       Eleanor meets and marries Rafael Cruz within 14 months of moving to Canada?
No marriage certificate has ever been produced anywhere and “Marriage   Abroad” has many strict requirements:

1969      “In 1969, at his new oil company job, he met his second wife, Eleanor Elizabeth Darragh Wilson”       https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rafael_Bienvenido_Cruz#Personal_life

March, 1970       Ted Cruz is conceived. [CORRECTED: 1969 changed to 1970]

December 22, 1970       TED CRUZ BORN IN CANADA
December 31, 1970        Birth registered at Calgary [70-08-032264]

Paul R. Hollrah, retired government relations executive and a two-time member of the U.S. Electoral College, explains that "According to the U.S. State Department, Bureau of Consular Affairs, the U.S. citizen parent(s) of a child born on foreign soil must obtain a Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA, Form FS-240) at some time prior to the child’s eighteenth birthday if the parent desires to pass on their U.S. citizenship to their offspring" and then wonders:  "So the question arises, did Ted Cruz’s parents assemble all the necessary documents and then drive or fly to the office of the U.S. Consulate General in Montreal, a distance of 2,196 miles? Or did they simply rely on the fact that his mother was a U.S. citizen, assuming that her U.S. citizenship would be automatically passed on to her son?” All applicants will need to provide the following forms and documents:  11 STEPS TO PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES:

1973        Rafael Bienvenido Cruz becomes a Canadian citizen.
1973        Rafael Bienvenido Cruz moves back to the United States alone!

1974        Rafael Bienvenido Cruz returns to Canada, takes Eleanor and Ted to the U.S.
“Parents of a child born abroad to a U.S. citizen or citizens should apply for a CRBA and/or a U.S. passport for the child as soon as possible. Failure to promptly document a child who meets the statutory requirements for acquiring U.S. citizenship at birth may cause problems for the parents and the child when attempting to establish the child’s U.S. citizenship and eligibility for the rights and benefits of U.S. citizenship, including entry into the United States. By law, U.S. citizens, including dual nationals, must use a U.S. passport to enter and leave the United States.”

November 6, 1986      IRCA Signed into law by Ronald Reagan, November 6, 1986 (Immigration Reform and Control Act aka Simpson–Mazzoli Act)
1986      Ted Cruz gets a passport for the first time for an alleged high school trip to England.

2005       Rafael Bienvenido Cruz renounces his Canadian citizenship when he applies for--and becomes--a U.S. Naturalized citizen.

May 14, 2014      TED CRUZ RENOUNCES CANADIAN CITIZENSHIP

June 30, 2015      “A Time for Truth: Reigniting the Miracle of America” released.

FINAL NOTES:

Like Barack Hussein Obama, Cruz himself has failed to release the following documents:

2012 INTERVIEW:
Interviewer:
“What is your understanding of how one becomes a natural born Citizen?”
Ted Cruz:
“Two citizen parents and born on the soil.”

Extremely interesting legally with many amazing references throughout…but Cruz’s defense of Santeria reminds me why John Jay wrote that letter to George Washington!!! A MUST READ!!!!!

UPDATE: Anna Tomerlin had a much more extensive (and accurate timeline) that I found after I published this. The following site has republished it (her own is currently offline):
Editor’s Note: Anna Tomerlin has done some extensive investigation into the family line of Rafael Edward “Ted” Cruz and frankly, the information is quite disturbing. Anna has graciously allowed us to repost her article to inform the public.

Incorrect! He denounced his Canadian citizenship in 2014, not 2005!

Incorrect. According to many other reports he denounced his Canadian Citizenship in 2014, not 2005!

what source do you have (cite) for eleanor darragh wilson moving to canada in 1967? while you state in your timeline that eleanor met rafael at rafael's new oil company in canada, all previously published sources indicate that rafael and eleanor met in new orleans where they both worked at a company called geocom.

they left geocom and together moved to canada where they both started the company rafael b cruz and associates.

evidence would suggest that eleanor was probably living in new orleans in late 1967. look at the death document for michael wilson which documents that a copy of the consular death report was mailed to eleanor darragh wilson in october 1967 to a new orleans address.

you also need to add the marriage and divorce of rafael b cruz to julia anne garza. they married in texas and divorced in louisiana. i think that is important to your timeline.

in your timeline you cite:

if the mother was physically present in the United States or one of its outlying possessions for a continuous period of one year prior to the person’s as part of the born out of wedlock argument.

since that doesn't state that the one year has to be the one year immediately preceeding a childs birth abroad, i'm not sure this section helps the argument since eleanor was born in delaware and was in the states from 1934 until moving to london in 1960.

Some interesting tidbits here.

The bottom line remains that even if Cruz was properly registered, under American laws passed for businessmen and soldiers, by his mother as an American born abroad, it will take a Supreme Court decision as to whether that qualifies as the Constitution's "natural born."

Truly, nothing else will do, and the Cruz case is not the same as Obama's in a number of ways.

This article is undermined by the claim that Ted Cruz was conceived in March 1969 but born in December 1970, a gestation period of 20 months!

Is there an error on the conception date for Ted Cruz? The above states that conception was March 1969 with birth of December 1970. Please check your records and confirm.

Why doesn't Glenn Beck know about this?

rafael edward (ted) cruz renounced his canadian citizenship in 2014 but the author's timeline pretty clearly stated that ted's father, rafael bienvenido cruz, renounced his canadian citizenship in 2005.

regarding the gestation period, elephants typically take between 18-22 months. maybe they knew little ted would become a registered republican. just sayin.

Dear Author, please check https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_Citizenship_Act_1946. I believe this law mandates that Canucks born in Canada ONLY have Canadian citizenship. Dual citizenship was not allowed. When Raf Jr. renounced that loyalty he became a man without a country.

Glenn Beck is a whack job.

She is talking about Ted's father.

Teresa Brewer: No corrections needed--Rafael Bienvenido Cruz is Ted's father. Timeline stands as is.

Dave Pickhardt - On January 8, 2016 Breitbart quoted Jason Johnson, chief strategist for the Cruz campaign: “Eleanor was never a citizen of Canada, and she could not have been under the facts or the law. In short, she did not live in Canada long enough to be a Canadian citizen by the time Cruz was born in 1970: Canadian law required 5 years of permanent residence, and she moved to Canada in December 1967—only 3 years before Senator Cruz’s birth.”

Wikipedia says that Ted’s father and mother met in 1969 (see link in timeline). Information about Cruz and his family varies from source to source which is a problem, but nothing explains the errors in Ted Cruz’s own book!

A copy of Michael Wilson’s death document dated 10/2/1967 was mailed c/o a “Caroline Jackson” in Meterie, LA and the statement at the bottom of that document states that Eleanor was “residing abroad with relatives” in London.

Divorce date of Rafael Sr. from previous wife was not available to me, but would be very interesting though probably not relevant to this particular issue I’ve presented unless it was 1967 or later.

I called the State Department and carefully reviewed the statement in this timeline that is on their website: they confirmed several times to me on the phone that an unwed mother must have resided in the U.S. for the year preceding the birth if citizenship is to be passed to the child.

lgstarr,

perspective is sometimes a strange thing. i am looking at the report of death of michael wilson as having been prepared by the consular office in london. when it talks about "residing abroad with relatives" there is something "x'd" out just preceding that. i took the word "london" right under courtfield gardens to be associated with alan wilson's address.

if this document was prepared in london, then a reference to someone living abroad with relatives would not mean to me they were living in london.

re: the garza cruz divorce, that didn't occur until 1968.

i believe that both rafael and eleanor went to canada together after meeting in new orleans. canada has a provision for expedited citizenship if an immigrant starts a business in canada and employees at least one canadian citizen who is not one of the partners in the business. i believe that both rafael and eleanor started r b cruz and associates together which could have led expedited citizenship. normally one has to have been a permanent resident for 4 out of the six years prior to obtaining citizenship.

you are correct that nothing about the cruz timeline in ted's book makes any sense. we know that rafael b was still in new orleans as late as july 26, 1967 because that is when he registered with the selective service at the federal building in new orleans.

the timeline regarding when rafael deserted his family in canada and found jesus hiding in texas, of all places, i have seen reported as around 1973-1974. from the canadian archives, a voter registration list for the 1974 general election shows both eleanor and rafael as voters. i don't know when that list was compiled, but that might provide some timeline information regarding rafael's coming and going around that time.

this is like bowing in the dark. you hear a lot of noise but never can figure out the results.

what is the dept of state website to which you refer about documenting the timeline?

i believe wiki is incorrect about when eleanor and rafael met. agree they were in canada in 1969 but they met a couple of years earlier in new orleans.

any idea who caroline jackson is? i believe eleanor had family in new orleans which is why she went there from london.

Dave Pickhardt:

What is “x’d” out just preceding “residing abroad with relatives” is the word “traveling”.

Yes, that specific word “London” belongs to the upper address of Alan Wilson which differs in several respects from the address in London listed below it for “Mrs. Eleanor D. Wilson”.

In a 1/13/2016 article, Canadian weekly magazine Macleans reports:
“They [Rafael and Eleanor] worked in the late 1960s for a company named Digitech, before striking out on their own with R.B. Cruz and Associates, says Bob Gaede, who worked for both companies.”

Catherine Thompson at Talking Points Memo on 1/8/2016 published the most detailed investigation of that Canadian voter registration list entitled “Ted Cruz's Mother Was On Official List Of Canadian Citizens Eligible To Vote.”

The first link in my article is to the Department of State for their explanation of “Birth Abroad Out-of-Wedlock to a U.S. Citizen Mother.”

Since Eleanor was in London through 1967 during the birth and death of Michael Wilson and then at Digitech in the late 1960’s, that doesn’t leave any time for a move to the states followed by a move to Canada!

Caroline Jackson may be Eleanor’s sister (Caroline Darragh) but I don’t know for sure.
