Be that as it may, given the ridiculous things that have been going on in Washington in the last several weeks (ha ha) I am also wondering whether Obama was, himself, "Casual" or "Beginner" or "Advanced."

To help you understand what I mean, I am referring to the fact that Obama campaigned on his intentions to meet with Iran, even without preconditions! So...after Iran recently rejected an internationally-arranged meeting with the Obama Administration:

This means that Obama has painted himself into the classic Rookie's Corner (and us with him, so sadly...at least I went kicking and screaming).

He either has to denounce Israel (i.e. diplomatically indicate that we won't be so one-sided anymore) or he has to give up (after only several weeks as the so-called President of the United States) his promise the 'change' the world (short-change it is what's really going on).

If he screws Israel, you can bet that he is (at best) a Muslim sympathizer and we will see the incrementally brutal changes that this brings to the world (watch FITNA before you open your mouth.)

LiveLeak has caught a scary moment of previously undisclosed insight by Paul Kanjorski where he reveals some facts that have not been captured by the media previously. At 2 minutes and 20 seconds in the video below, Democratic Representative Kanjorski explains how the Federal Reserve told Congress members about a "tremendous draw-down of money market accounts in the United States, to the tune of $550 billion dollars." According to Kanjorski, this electronic transfer occurred over the period of an hour or two. And it gets worse. Kanjorski paraphrases the following disclosure by Bernanke and Paulson:

On Thursday (Sept 18), at 11am the Federal Reserve noticed a tremendous draw-down of money market accounts in the U.S., to the tune of $550 billion was being drawn out in the matter of an hour or two. The Treasury opened up its window to help and pumped a $105 billion in the system and quickly realized that they could not stem the tide. We were having an electronic run on the banks. They decided to close the operation, close down the money accounts and announce a guarantee of $250,000 per account so there wouldn't be further panic out there.

If they had not done that, their estimation is that by 2pm that afternoon, $5.5 trillion would have been drawn out of the money market system of the U.S., would have collapsed the entire economy of the U.S., and within 24 hours the world economy would have collapsed. It would have been the end of our economic system and our political system as we know it.

We are no better off today than we were 3 months ago because we have a decrease in the equity positions of banks because other assets are going sour by the moment.

Interestingly, Kanjorski, and likely more and more Democrats, are starting to shift to the camp that more time is needed to make a correct decision this time (which may explain Geithner's decision to postpone the "bank-rescue" announcement by one day to Tuesday), instead of rushing into another half-baked plan. Very scary stuff.

The Obama administration has claimed that virtually all economists support their approach to "stimulus" spending. This is patently untrue. Nobel Laureates Ed Prescott, James Buchanan, and Vernon Smith recently joined 200 other economists signing a letter opposing the legislation. Other notable economists critical of the stimulus package include Nobel Laureate Gary Becker, as well as Robert Barro, Greg Mankiw, Arthur Laffer, and Larry Lindsey. Martin Feldstein, who had been the only notable conservative economist loudly supporting the stimulus, has since changed his mind.

More liberal economists such as Alice Rivlin and Alan Blinder have also strongly criticized certain aspects of the spending bill.

Even President Obama's own economic advisers—who are leading the fight for the "stimulus" bill—previously criticized the bill's economic underpinnings.

Why Liberals Support Islamic Terrorism and Oppose Self-Defense Against It

This is an important article. The excerpt below reminds me of some comments I read yesterday about Polish geologist Piotr Stanczak whose beheading by Pakistani Islamic terrorists was so horrific that many news outlets refused to provide the video. Several people defended these monsters by saying they were just responding to actions of the West (i.e. the bombings--now by the Obama administration--that injured civilians...as if that was the intended goal of the military). So, believe it when you read the following because, if you read a lot of comments, you will see this attitude over and over again:

Why then do liberals prefer “Grievance based violence” to the right of self-defense?

The right of self-defense presumes a right inherent to the individual and the nation. Liberals routinely reject both individual and national rights in favor of group and class rights. Liberals are also biased against acts of rational self-interest, in favor of emotional expressions of outrage.

Where self-defense is often defined by liberals as a form of entitlement and class privilege. “Grievance based violence” by contrast is treated as a response to intolerable oppression, and an expression of the underclass rising up. Since in the liberal worldview, violence is divided into oppressive and revolutionary violence. Oppressive violence is a function of class privilege, where revolutionary violence is a form of revolutionary justice. So that in the liberal calculus, the middle class homeowner protecting his house from a mob, is practicing “oppressive violence”, while the mob is practicing “revolutionary justice”.

Understanding this is the most vital part of understanding liberal morality, or lack thereof. Class or group status, defines whether violence is legitimate or not, in the eyes of the liberal.

This will be the first of many new taxes or tax increases. Many of those will adversely impact the poor. Raising taxes, we all know, has a depressive affect on tax revenue, so the funding of the SCHIP program will have a funding source that should diminish over time. New sources of funding will have to be found for this new bureaucracy for this new law that will not achieve what it is intended to achieve.

On the one hand:

The House Democratic Caucus spent more than $500,000 in taxpayer money over the past five years for its annual retreats at resorts in Pennsylvania and Virginia.

But on the other hand:

...several Democratic lawmakers slammed American International Group (AIG) executives for spending more than $440,000 at a company retreat in Monarch Beach, Calif., just days after the federal government bailed the company out with $85 billion in taxpayer funds.

Several Democratic lawmakers also excoriated banking and financial companies for flying in corporate jets to Washington to testify before several committees about their need for billions more in bailout money.

On Nov. 3, 2008, I went to the Supreme Court of the United States to file my application for an emergency stay of the national election. I took a Greyhound bus from Baltimore to Washington, D.C. because I was afraid to use Amtrak where I would have had to present ID for a ticket. I took that bus to the Greyhound station in Washington DC and walked from there to Union Station.

I felt that my life was in danger because I knew that if I could get my case filed before 4:30PM, there was a chance, a remote but genuine chance, that if the SCOTUS rules were followed, my case could stop the general election. As you [may] know, the SCOTUS rules were not followed when a clerk tried to overrule the SCOTUS precedent from McCarthy v. Briscoe.

I had previoulsy felt the evil operate against my case in the NJ Appellate Division where I experienced sabotage I never thought possible. I felt the full force and power of the cult as it tried to stop my case from having proper procedural ground to move on to SCOTUS.

In the days leading up to Nov. 3, 2008… my cell phone and that of a family member were subjected to treachery that only somebody with serious power could have accomplished. Because of the dual attacks upon my sanity, I came to Washington D.C. with fear in my heart, but I was not about to stop. Nothing short of a bullet was going to stop me from filing that application on Nov. 3, 2008.

On the Greyhound bus to DC, I had made a plan to pay for a tourist trolley ticket to take me one stop from Union Station to SCOTUS. I figured I would be safer blending in with tourists rather than being alone.

Before leaving for DC the night before, I died my hair blond, shaved, put on rock and roll clothes and stuffed the copies of my application in a hole through the pockets of my jacket which hid the documents in my back.

I looked nothing like the attorney who had been in the Hughes Justice complex all week in New Jersey.

But I made one mistake.

I had my electronic passport in my sneaker. I walked into Union Station to purchase a $35 trolley ticket and probably set off an RFID tracker.

I waited outside of Union Station for the trolley. At approximately 2:45 PM, just after I had purchased my ticket inside the station, I was sitting next to a white homeless man with a grey beard in his 50’s. He had two shopping carts full of clothes, food, radio etc., apparently his life possessions. We were the only two people sitting on this stone circle just outside the station. Suddenly, the homeless man starts gibbering some kind of weird code. He sounded like this,

“Echo one four two seven, target is in the building, repeat target is in the building…”

Then he paused and I looked up and a big SUV had pulled up right next to us, and two BIG mofos in yellow gold shirts got out of the SUV, opened the back door and started putting on body armor and packing mega heat… all the while they are scouring the area for the “target”.

The homeless man is talking to them through a device in his battered shirtsleeve,

“No point in wasting time, I want to get paid for this, target is in the building… Ok, but I thought you might want to just get the target, repeat — target is in the building, target is in the building. Stop wasting time out here.”

He was mixing in code talk with things I could understand.

Finally, these Blackwater types in yellow who had no badges or official insignia head into Union Station carrying full weapons.

I’m having a heart attack. They looked straight at me at least twice but I looked like such a clown. If they were looking for the brown haired bearded intellectual looking lawyer guy who was in court that week there’s no way they would recognize me with shocking platinum hair in my face, a dayglo blue jacket, flared jeans and trainers.

I also had no visible paperwork with me. It was in the back of my jacket and my back was pressed against the stone circle.

When they entered Union Station, the homeless guy turns towards me and hits a button on his cell device and suddenly he’s on speakerphone. The conversation is between him and some woman wherein he’s trying to get confirmation that his payment has been credited to his account. He gives me a sly look, and with that my trolley comes.

I get on the trolley and open my tourist brochure to cover my face. Then I have to sit there for five excrutiating minutes while various people discuss with the driver whether they should take the tour tonight or tomorrow. Honestly folks, I thought right then and there, “Your life aint worth —-, Leo. You are a walking dead man.”

When I finally got to the steps of SCOTUS, I was prepared to have my head blown off walking up those steps. I was a —- mess. Seriously. The paranoia was so intense. I even asked for official protection.

I don’t know if they were just trying to scare me, really meant to take me down, or if it was all a coincidence. I’m sure there’s a video tape of it somewhere. This is 100% true.

After the case was filed, I was followed for weeks. I had choppers over my home every night for hours. It was the typical black helicopter story in spades. But my whole family witnessed the choppers night after night.

The cult knew my case was strong. And it eventually got on every major news network and brought the one issue they had kept silent to the forefront of the nation — the fact that Obama [is not a 'Natural Born Citizen'].

OK, so now he’s POTUS. Many people voted for him. The messiah vibe is an archetype people are prone to fall for. But Obama is not the Messiah.”

Dear Mr. President:

As you have recently taken office I understand that you still have a number of positions available in your Cabinet.

I would like to be considered as a candidate for one of the remaining positions. I hope that being an old white male is not a disqualification or a disadvantage in these times (please don't tell Robert Reich that I wrote to you).

Here are my qualifications:

• I am an Ivy League educated lawyer (aren't we all?)
• My specialty is tax law and international relations.
• For the last 6 years I have failed to pay, forgot to pay, and/or ignored paying my full share of federal income taxes and social security payments.
• I accepted, for 3 years, a limousine service provided by one of my clients that drove me to and from my office. I did not realize or care that free services are considered income.
• I helped broker and/or ran four pay-to-play operations for the Democratic machines in Chicago (I think some of your staff may know the individuals involved)and in Los Angeles.
• I secured sweetheart mortgage deals for myself and prominent members of the House and Senate Finance committees.
• I also hired a nanny from Guatemala to look after my children but failed to include her unemployment taxes in my returns for the last 10 years.

It really doesn't matter which cabinet position I am considered for because I know that, within a year, some of your current Cabinet officers will have resigned/been indicted/shuffled to other cabinet positions. I am sure that each cabinet position is exciting and has it's own unique "opportunities" and interesting challenges.

I also have extensive experience in meeting with dictators and despots without pre-conditions. Perhaps when Hillary self-destructs I could be considered for Secretary of State.

I am sincerely sorry about these minor oversights and I know that you and the Senate Democrats will make endless excuses for me and say I am the only one who can this job...whichever one I am nominated for.

I intend to file amended tax returns as soon as I am aware that the vetting process has begun. By the way, can you use your influence with Treasury Sec. Geithner so I can avoid paying those annoying penalties? Thanks bro'.

Please know that I can do a great job for you now that being a tax scofflaw is the road to upward mobility in public service.

Government spending, deficits, and debt creation of this magnitude is simply unheard of. Financing of this type would not only destroy the U.S. fiscal position for years to come, it could destroy the dollar in the process. What's more, the likelihood of massive tax increases -- which at some point will become front and center in this gargantuan funding operation -- would doom the economy for decades.

Six Democratic members of Congress enjoyed a Caribbean junket sponsored by Citigroup after Congress had approved the $700 billion bailout of financial services firms in October.

The National Legal and Policy Center, a watchdog group, has asked Neil Barofsky, the Special Inspector General for the Troubled Asset Relief Program, for a formal review of the Citigroup’s sponsorship of the trip by House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Charles Rangel and five others.

The NLPC says the trip violated House rules.

(Remember Black Hawk Down?) Even more surprising is that in 1980, during Carter presidency, there were 2,392 US military fatalities!

These figures appear to indicate many members of our media and politicians pick and choose the information on which they report--that they present only those "facts" that support their agenda. (Oh, Gosh, Do you think?)

Consider the latest census of Americans. It shows the following distribution of American citizens by race:

Hispanic 12.50 percent
Black 12.30 percent
Asian 3.70 percent
Native American 1.00 percent
Other 2.60 percent

Many members of the media lead us to believe the military death ratio is off balanced compared to the distribution by race in America. Here are the fatalities by race over the past three years in Iraqi Freedom:

Native American 1.09 percent
Other 0.33 percent

In stimulus package language, if Congress taxes to hand out money, one person is stimulated at the expense of another, who pays the tax, who is unstimulated.

A visual representation of the stimulus package is: Imagine you see a person at work taking buckets of water from the deep end of a swimming pool and dumping them into the shallow end in an attempt to make it deeper. You would deem him stupid.

That scenario is equivalent to what Congress and the new president propose for the economy.

What is really going on in Washginton?

No matter how many times President Barack Obama tells us that these "extraordinary times" call for "swift action," the kind of economic policies he is promoting take effect very slowly, no matter how quickly the legislation is rushed through Congress. It is the old Army game of hurry up and wait.

If the Beltway politicians aren't really trying to solve this crisis as quickly as they could, what are they trying to do?

One important clue may be a recent statement by President Obama's chief of staff, Rahm Emmanuel, that "A crisis is a terrible thing to waste."

This is the kind of cynical revelation that sometimes slips out, despite all the political pieties and spin. Crises have long been seen as great opportunities to expand the federal government's power while the people are too scared to object and before any opposition can get organized.

That is why there is such haste to do things that will take effect slowly.

What are the Beltway politicians buying with all the hundreds of billions of dollars they are spending? They are buying what politicians are most interested in-- power.

Be careful what you wish for:

This administration and Congress are now in a position to do what Franklin D. Roosevelt did during the Great Depression of the 1930s-- use a crisis of the times to create new institutions that will last for generations.

To this day, we are still subsidizing millionaires in agriculture because farmers were having a tough time in the 1930s. We have the Federal National Mortgage Association ("Fannie Mae") taking reckless chances in the housing market that have blown up in our faces today, because FDR decided to create a new federal housing agency in 1938.

Who knows what bright ideas this administration will turn into permanent institutions for our children and grandchildren to try to cope with?

Liberals have been pining for the lost Al Gore presidency for years now...strange, though, given his Bush-esque sympathies!

An anecdote former Clinton counterterror czar Richard Clarke recounts in his memoir "Against All Enemies" is instructive. In 1993, White House Counsel Lloyd Cutler was horrified by Mr. Clarke's proposal for "extraordinary rendition," where our spooks turn over prisoners to foreign countries like Egypt so they can do the interrogating.

While Mr. Clinton was still chewing his fingernails and seemed to side with Mr. Cutler, Al Gore arrived late to the meeting. "Clinton recapped the arguments on both sides," Mr. Clarke writes. "Gore laughed and said, 'That's a no-brainer. Of course it's a violation of international law, that's why it's a covert action. The guy is a terrorist. Go grab his ass.'" From the day Obama was elected to 9:30am Tokyo time on Monday morning, the S&P 500 index has lost 17% of its value, after absorbing Obama's proposed cabinet and hearing the gist of his economic stimulus plan. That can't be blamed on Bush. It counts as the "Obama crash". With the unprecedented power of his office, Obama inherits a commensurately high level of accountability. Unless he offers something radically different, the boomerang of expectations could flatten him faster and more thoroughly than the swift ascent of his star. People in power get blamed; people with absolute power get blamed absolutely. As the economy continues to deteriorate, there will be no one left standing to blame but Obama.

Obama cultists and what to do about 'em

Last night I had dinner with a group of mostly 60's type liberals who worship at the Obama alter (one of them absolutely forbade even a single disparaging word about our new President but felt completely free during the entire evening to make the case that George W. Bush was the scum of the earth--real fair and balanced). It is for these, that the following was written:

There is a basic difference between a cult and a political movement. A political movement is geared around issues, a cult is built around a belief that attaching yourself to a particular guru can teach you how to be a better person and "redeem" you and the rest of the world.

You can demonstrate that a political movement is wrong, but demonstrating that a cult is wrong does no good whatsoever. A cult leader functions by convincing his followers to become emotionally and physically invested in the idea that only by following them can they be saved. Cult membership has to be broken, like any emotionally based addiction.

I just listened to a journalist being interviewed who had been at the private luncheon that Obama granted to conservatives last week. He said that, after having watched the Inauguration and after having met him personally, Obama seems very confident, disturbingly confident, and I knew instantly what he meant. It's the kind that you see sometimes...the kind of confidence that confidence men can have (when they are really good at what they do) and it's the kind that you will see unfold in the next several years.

A victory for the hysterical Oprah Winfrey, the mad racist preacher Jeremiah Wright, the mainstream media who abandoned any sense of objectivity long ago, Europeans who despise America largely because they depend on her, comics who claim to be dangerous and fearless but would not dare attack genuinely powerful special interest groups. A victory for Obama-worshippers everywhere.

A victory for the cult of the cult. Victory for a man who is no friend of freedom. He and his people have already stated that media has to be controlled so as to be balanced, without realizing the extraordinary irony within that statement. Like most liberal zealots, the Obama worshippers constantly speak of Fox and Limbaugh, when the vast bulk of television stations and newspapers are drastically liberal and anti-conservative. Senior Democrat Chuck Schumer said that just as pornography should be censored, so should talk radio. In other words, one of the few free and open means of popular expression may well be cornered and beaten by bullies who even in triumph cannot tolerate any criticism and opposition.

A victory for those who believe the state is better qualified to raise children than the family, for those who prefer teachers' unions to teaching and for those who are naively convinced that if the West is sufficiently weak towards its enemies, war and terror will dissolve as quickly as the tears on the face of a leftist celebrity.

A victory for social democracy even after most of Europe has come to the painful conclusion that social democracy leads to mediocrity, failure, unemployment, inflation, higher taxes and economic stagnation. A victory for intrusive lawyers, banal sentimentalists, social extremists and urban snobs.

Let's get it straight. This isn't sour grapes and it isn't business as usual. We're not opposed to Obama because he's a Democrat or a Liberal. If our disagreements with him were just political, we could join the others in wishing him well and hoping he steers the ship right.

We can't. Because this isn't a matter of political disagreement, this is a national catastrophe, a threat to the lives of millions and the survival of America itself.

Here is why

Obama's Inaugural Address was...

...well...

Here’s the thing: Obama’s main speech writer is a twenty-something who thinks it’s both funny and appropriate to pose for vulgar photos with himself, another man, and a cardboard cutout of a United States Senator. We have no idea if Jon Favreau wrote the Inaugural Address, but it sure sounds like his special brand of nebulous, cliche-driven newspeak. More hope and change, whatever that means, more storms on the horizon and quagmires at the edge of the briar patch. All delivered in that trademarked Sunday morning oration Obama favors, learned deliberately off cassette tapes Jeremiah Wright sent him at Harvard Law school.

Like with any of Obama’s speeches, we ask people talking about the Inaugural Address today what was their favorite line, and they’re instantly stumped. They can’t think of one. No turn of phrase they’d carve into marble with their own blood, sweat, and tears to be sure.

That “seminal speech on race” Chris Matthews’ lauded as “the new Gettysburg address”? Does anyone remember a line from that?

What about any of his campaign speeches? Are any of Favreau’s bon mots marble-worthy from those?

Obama is a showman who appeals to a large part of the country who has either never set foot in a black church (so they are mesmerized by something we can see done much better any given Sunday here in Chicago) or who loves listening to preachers regularly. For those of us not so inclined, it’s an act we’ve seen before, done better. His oration has never impressed us because he never says anything particularly memorable — it’s just that a large number of people love hearing his voice.

And not only that

Obama’s “Great Address” was anemic, at best, and pedestrian at worst.

And that’s coming from people who don’t like him, and aren’t going to suddenly magically start liking him today, but who truly — REALLY AND TRULY — wanted him to just knock this out of the park and give us some reason, SOMETHING, ANYTHING, to warrant the most expensive party this nation has ever thrown, at a time when collectively we barely have a pot to, uh, stew in.

With all of our economic troubles.

With all those cliche clouds hanging.

With all of the storm clouds massing on lazily-written uncharted horizons.

And he phoned in that forgettable speech?

Followed by a poorly-written and amateurishly delivered poem?

On the day Obama was supposed to start showing us what he’s got, and giving us some clue as to what all the fuss about him is about?

We’re still waiting. We’ll let you know if we ever see it — and honestly promise to be fair to the new president, the way we tried to be fair to former president George W. Bush. And we truly want Obama to succeed, and definitely want to be blown away by brilliance on an epic scale.

We were waiting for that for eight years…and it looks like we could be waiting for four more, if things continue at this level, on Day One, Year One, of The Golden Age of Obama.

Where were the 5 million people?
