THIS is what's really going on in the world

"...take a few minutes to re-watch this segment from a movie circa 1976.  Replace Ned Beatty with Donald Trump… The issues are identical.  It has been thus since the rise of the multinationals:"

https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2021/04/01/prescient-diatribe-as-true-today-as-it-was-in-1976/

Excerpt: "I will never join that crew of Trump critics because I understand his adversary.  I understand the scope of the enemy, the scale of the war, the financial and economic power of the opposition, and the effort it will take to stop decades of willful blindness amid 97% of the American people.   I also see exactly what they are doing now, even with President Trump forcefully removed from office, to destroy the threat he still represents.

Donald J Trump was/is a walking red-pill; a “touchstone”: a visible, empirical test or criterion for determining the quality or genuineness of anything political.  I have been deep enough into the network of the Deep State to understand the scale and scope of this enemy.  To think that President Trump alone could carry the burden of correcting four decades of severe corruption of all things political, without simultaneously considering the scale of the opposition, is naive in the extreme."

The destruction of the U.S. industrial and manufacturing base is EXACTLY WHY the middle class has struggled, and exactly why the wealth gap exploded in the past 30 years.

♦POTUS Trump was disrupting the global order of things in order to protect and preserve the shrinking interests of the U.S. He was fighting, almost single-handed, at the threshold of the abyss. Our interests, our position, is zero-sum. His DC opposition seeks to repel and retain the status-quo. They want to return to full economic control over the U.S.

In these economic endeavors President Trump was disrupting decades of financial schemes established to use the U.S. as a host for their endeavors. President Trump was confronting multinational corporations and the global constructs of economic systems that were put in place to the detriment of the host (USA) ie YOU. There are trillions at stake; it is all about the economics; everything else is chaff and countermeasures.

Familiar faces, perhaps faces you previously thought were decent, are now revealing their alignment with larger entities that are our abusers. . .

The #1 thing you must understand about President Donald J. Trump

♦ In the bigger picture this is why President Trump is the most transformative economic President in the last 75 years. The post-WWII Marshall Plan was set up to allow Europe and Asia to place tariffs on exported American industrial products. Those tariffs were used by the EU and Japan to rebuild their infrastructure after a devastating war. However, there was never a built in mechanism to end the tariffs…. until President Trump came along and said: “it’s over”!
After about 20 years (+/-), say 1970 to be fair, the EU and Japan received enough money to rebuild. But instead of ending the one-way payment system, Asia and the EU sought to keep going and build their economies larger than the U.S. Additionally, the U.S. was carrying the cost of protecting the EU (via NATO) and Japan with our military. The EU and Japan didn’t need to spend a dime on defense because the U.S. essentially took over that role. But that military role, just like the tariffs, never ended. Again, until Trump.
The U.S. economy was the host for around 50 years of parasitic wealth exfiltration, or as most would say “distribution”. [Note I use the term *exfiltration* because it better highlights that American citizens paid higher prices for stuff, and paid higher taxes within the overall economic scheme, than was needed.]
President Trump is the first and only president who said: “enough”, and prior politicians who didn’t stop the process were “stupid” etc. etc. Obviously, he is 100% correct.

There's no socialism in the Nordic countries, no matter what the Left keeps repeating

What the Left Gets Wrong About Scandinavia

January 26, 2016
https://fortune.com/2016/01/26/democrat-bernie-sanders-scandinavia-socialism/
Sanandaji thinks that a much better explanation for the economic success of Scandinavia is culture. If you look at the years in which these countries built the wealth their citizens now enjoy, it was long before leftist ideas took hold. For instance, from 1870 through 1936, Sweden was the fastest growing economy in the world. But after 1975—when the Swedish state began to expand in earnest—Sweden’s economy noticeably slowed, falling from the 4th richest in the world to the 13th by the mid 1990s.

And Nordic voters are starting to take notice. Scandanavian governments have been paring down the size of their governments. Since the 1990s, the total taxation of the Swedish economy as a percentage of GDP has fallen more than 5%, while labor market reforms, such as Denmark’s cutting of unemployment benefits have helped Scandanavian economies rocket up measures of economic freedom. Don’t tell Bernie Sanders, but as Sanadaji puts it, Scandanavia is slowly “returning to its free market roots.”

The Myth of Scandinavian Socialism

The Nordic model is far from socialist.

In response to Americans frequently referring to his country as socialist, the prime minister of Denmark recently remarked in a lecture at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government,

I know that some people in the US associate the Nordic model with some sort of socialism. Therefore I would like to make one thing clear. Denmark is far from a socialist planned economy. Denmark is a market economy.

Sundance: I have no doubt President Trump will cost the “Global Economy” $455 billion…. because that money will be transferring back to the America First economy.

"Name one individual who could take them on simultaneously and still be winning, bigly.
They say he’s one man.  They say they have him outnumbered.  Yet somehow, as unreal as it seems, he’s the one who appears to have them surrounded.
Incredible.
Lord knows we can’t spare this man."

Albert Jay Nock: Perhaps the most brilliant American essayist of the 20th century, and certainly among its most important libertarian thinkers

DOWNLOAD Memoirs of a Superfluous Man - MISES INSTITUTE
Albert Jay Nock, perhaps the most brilliant American essayist of the 20th century, and certainly among its most important libertarian thinkers, set out to write his autobiography but he ended up doing much more. He presents here a full theory of society, state, economy, and culture, and does so almost inadvertently.

His stories, lessons, observations, and conclusions pack a very powerful punch, so much so that anyone who takes time to read carefully cannot but end up changed in intellectual outlook. One feels that one has been let in a private club of people who see more deeply than others. This is truly an American classic.

Critical advice for business: In order to survive, your productivity needs to accelerate

Why the world economy may face a permanent slump
AMERICAN ENTERPRISE INSTITUTE
James Pethokoukis is a columnist and blogger at the American Enterprise Institute. Previously, he was the Washington columnist for Reuters
Business must play a critical role: aggressively upgrading capital and technology, taking risks by investing in R&D and unproven technologies or processes, and mitigating the labor pool’s erosion by providing a more flexible work environment for women and older workers, as well as training and mentorship for young people. In an environment of potentially weaker global economic growth, and definitely evolving growth dynamics, executives need to anticipate where the market opportunities will be and the competitors they will meet in those markets. Above all, companies need to be competitive in a world where productivity will increasingly be the arbiter of success or failure.

Son of man, speak to your people

On my site, I have shared thousands upon thousands of facts and statistics that show that a horrific economic collapse is coming.  If you are new to all of this, the following are just a couple of articles that can get you started...
I am trying to do my best to warn people about what is coming from my little spot on the wall.  In the Scriptures, those that are aware that a threat is coming are responsible for warning others about it.  The following is a short excerpt from Ezekiel 33...

Egypt: From someone who lives there

Obviously, it is a very complicated issue.

Morsi was elected in a fair and free election with the same margin of victory as Barack Obama. He was unpopular and autocratic but he was a democratically elected President. I am 100% against the military coup that threw him out.

The Constitution which was passed overwhelmingly with 64% of the vote has been dissolved as well, without a single vote being cast to do so.

Had the Army sided with Morsi, there was a possibility that he would have become more attentive to the wishes of the people. If not, there would be an election in three years and Egypt, while currently under Islamist rule, would have been a burgeoning democracy. It's very likely that a more secular President could have come to power legitimately in 3 years time.

Now the military and the Egyptian people have established a precedent where if you are not happy with the President after 100 days or 1 year or 2 weeks, you take to the streets and oust him. That is not democracy. It's chaos and leads to instability in a very crucial Arab country. That is bad for America and especially bad for Israel.

Beyond that, during Mubarak's 30 year reign and for the year and a half prior to Morsi's election, the Egyptian Military were essentially running the country. That was good for America because they were beholden to us for aid to the tune of about 2 billion dollars a year. However, that has all changed. Since Hillary and her BFF Barack made the decision to toss Hosni Mubarak under the bus and embrace the Muslim Brotherhood the Egyptian Military has gotten in bed with Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates and no longer need or care about Obama or America's money. They now dance to the tune of a new and wealthier piper.

For sure behind the scenes Obama tried to pressure the Egyptian military into protecting Morsi to avoid this new mess, but we no longer have leverage.

So, what happens now? Immediately, there will be euphoria and excitement in Egypt. Then there will be a month of Ramadan. And then I predict sectarian and political violence all over Egypt, disappointment and disillusion with the Army rule, and even worse economic conditions in Egypt, not to mention more gigantic and deadly demonstrations.

In short: Hell to pay for this idiocy.

And who's to blame? Hillary. Were it not for her and her BFF, Obama, Mubarak would still be in power, Egypt would be stable, America would be safer, Israel would be safer, and the Egyptians would be far better off.

POSTCRIPT:

It should be noted that the objection to President Morsi was almost entirely economic based. The Egyptian economy is in the toilet. No tourism. No foreign investment. No hard currency. Long bread and gas lines. Power outages.

American television is portraying this as a rebuke of the Islamists. It is not. it is a rebuke of the Muslim Brotherhood, who happen to be Islamists, but more importantly to the Egyptian people, have done nothing to solve the economic problems and have in fact exacerbated them. If a different Islamist party arises or even just a different Brotherhood candidate, that person could easily get elected. Egyptians are not disillusioned with the Islamists, they just want Islamists who know how to build an economy.

Of course, the irony is that by causing this chaos and uncertainty the Egyptian economy will now spiral down even lower.

California in crisis

Conn Carroll: What happened to the Golden State?
Over the next four days, The Washington Examiner will look at what ails California, and how it got to its current state of failure. We will look at the state's out-of-control budget and debt, the powerful union interests driving it, the decline of its education system, the failure of its "clean energy" initiatives and the environmental regulations that are wrecking the economy in many regions of the state.

The current trends in the Golden State point to a failing state -- a California in crisis.

Tomorrow: The California spending rush.

ECONOMIC EQUALITY

 “Equality” Programs Aren’t Working
                    But Our USA Plan Will

Dick McDonald

Blacks have seen their annual income drop in President Obama’s first four years by almost $7,000 a year - all workers have experienced a drop of over $4,000 a year. Although President Obama recently claimed that the main goal of his second term is equality that same goal obviously didn’t work for him in his first term. But let’s be fair; not everything is Obama’s fault.

The facts are that over the last 44 years government has spent over $16 trillion on welfare, entitlements and means-tested programs in their “War on Poverty”. Predictably a greater percentage of Americans are in poverty today than when that “war” began. Predictably because government doesn’t create wealth it consumes and depletes it.  It only redistributes what wealth is left over after it takes its cut.

So when the “progressive” New York Times contends we need to rethink antipoverty policy we know their suggestions won’t work because their philosophy begins and ends with government as the vehicle where all wrongs are righted. And again government does not create wealth it consumes and depletes it through taxation and regulation.

However, NYT op-ed writer Nicholas Kristof recently pinpointed part of the problem when he opined that welfare and entitlement programs have only “addressed symptoms of poverty, not causes.” Unfortunately in his article he advances a .01% solution to a 100% problem. That was to spend more government money on the early development of children living in low-income zip codes.

That will be microscopically helpful in 15 to 20 years. It surely doesn’t address the problem now and that problem is poverty.  No one is saying that welfare and entitlements haven’t helped those living in poverty. What we do say at the Prosperity Commission is that we have to find a way to make the poor rich or comfortably so.  Until we do the problem of poverty and the ever-increasing $138 trillion of funded and unfunded national debt won’t go away.  It will progressively become more fatal to our way of life.

Most great wealth in America is created by investment. To prove that ask yourself where pensions invest their money. Investment in the stock market is where 98% of our pension assets are employed. Therefore the trick to making the poor wealthy is by their making an investment in the stock market and letting their investment accumulate, compound and grow over their working life into a sizeable nest egg.

That presents two problems. First where are they going to get the money to invest?  And second will they be willing to let that money remain invested for their entire working life in order to achieve the eventual goal of comfortable wealth for themselves, their families and their kids..

Those questions are answered along with a myriad of others at www.theusaplan.com .  The ultimate result of the plan is that eventually the average American citizen will end up with a $4 million nest egg (today’s rate) and a $33,333 a-month retirement check.  Its enactment will immediately result in cutting the national debt from $138 trillion to $30 trillion and the creation of millions of jobs almost overnight.

The eradication of poverty is eons easier than to flying to the moon – and we already did that.

Executives ranked California as the worst place to do business for the eighth year in a row…

California narrowly edged out New York in what the survey called “the ninth circle of business hell,” sharing the bottom five spots with Illinois, Massachusetts and Michigan.

California is like that old Henny Youngman joke:

Patient:
"Doctor, it hurts when I go like this."
Doctor:
"So don't go like that."
But the Democrats always "go like that", year after year after year after year here (where I live).

I was born in California and it used to be paradise.

You just wonder what goes through people's minds when they consciously take paradise and turn it into hell.

After U.S. financial markets closed on Friday, S&P announced credit downgrades for nine European nations

Over the past several months we have seen quite a few credit downgrades all over Europe, but we have never seen anything quite like what S&P just did. . .

In addition, there was another really, really troubling piece of news that came out of Europe on Friday.

It was announced that negotiations between the Greek government and private holders of Greek debt have broken down. . .

Already there are indications that foreigners are starting to dump large amounts of U.S. debt. If this trickle becomes a flood things could become very bad for the United States very quickly.

We are on the verge of some very bad things. The kinds of "financial bombs" that we saw dropped today are going to become much more frequent. As governments, banks and investors scramble to survive, we are going to see extreme amounts of volatility in the financial marketplace.

Things are not going to be "normal" again for a really, really long time.

Hold on tight, because 2012 is going to be a very interesting year.
Bam! Bam! Bam! Huge Financial Bombs Just Got Dropped All Over Europe
