Go back to your corner, Obama

...there isn't a single critical problem on which the president has a positive public rating

Obama's political realignment of America is over. We no longer believe that he will "change the world" and "transform the country."

Poll shows growing disappointment, polarization over Obama's performance

A year into his presidency, President Obama faces a polarized nation and souring public assessments of his efforts to change Washington, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll.

Nearly half of all Americans say Obama is not delivering on his major campaign promises, and a narrow majority have just some or no confidence that he will make the right decisions for the country's future.

More than a third see the president as falling short of their expectations, about double the proportion saying so at the 100-day mark of Obama's presidency in April. At the time, 63 percent said the president had accomplished a "great deal" or a "good amount." Now, the portion saying so has dropped to 47 percent...

New Year's Eve Obama style

Barack Obama is on track to have the most spectacularly failed presidency since Woodrow Wilson!

Barack Obama is failing. Failing big. Failing fast. And failing everywhere: foreign policy, domestic initiatives, and most importantly, in forging connections with the American people. The incomparable Dorothy Rabinowitz in the Wall Street Journal put her finger on it: He is failing because he has no understanding of the American people, and may indeed loathe them. Fred Barnes of the Weekly Standard says he is failing because he has lost control of his message, and is overexposed. Clarice Feldman of American Thinker produced a dispositive commentary showing that Obama is failing because fundamentally he is neither smart nor articulate; his intellectual dishonesty is conspicuous by its audacity and lack of shame.

But, there is something more seriously wrong: How could a new president riding in on a wave of unprecedented promise and goodwill have forfeited his tenure and become a lame duck in six months? His poll ratings are in free fall. In generic balloting, the Republicans have now seized a five point advantage. This truly is unbelievable. What's going on?

Obama on the Down Low

Barack Obama is the second most reviled newbie president of the last forty years

It's official: Barack Obama is the second most reviled newbie president of the last forty years. A gallup survey today published in the Washington Times shows Obama to have an approval rating of just 56 per cent. The only president to have performed worse than that at the end of his first 100 days in office was Bill Clinton - and only then because it happened to coincide with the spectacular mishandling of the Waco siege, which might reasonably be laid at the door of ATF and FBI incompetence rather than presidential negligence.

Obama's low approval ratings, however, are all of his own making. He campaigned as a healing moderate who would take the US beyond partisan politics and restore the economy; instead he has terrified all those Americans who rightly abhor the idea of adopting European socialist, with the most sweeping advance of the progressive agenda and growth in the power of the state since the days of FDR's New Deal.

DROPPING LIKE A STONE...

...Obama's Presidential Approval Index rating that is (the Presidential Approval Index is calculated by subtracting the number who Strongly Disapprove from the number who Strongly Approve).

Right after his Inauguration it was +29...last week it was +21...now it is +11.

H/T: POWERLINE

It's no mystery why this is happening. Instead of the fantasy he spun (in order to get a lot of fools to vote for him) about how he will govern in a bi-partisan way (as Peggy Noonan recently said, that will never happen and is a stupid idea anyway) he did the exact opposite and is trying to jam the biggest, fattest, pork sandwich (made by Nancy Pelosi because Obama doesn't have any experience) down everyone's throat.

Mr. Obama is now endorsing a sort of reductionist Keynesianism that argues that any government spending is an economic stimulus. This is so manifestly false that we doubt Mr. Obama really believes it.

Contact your representative (scroll down and click on CONTACT THE U.S. CONGRESS and WRITE YOUR REPRESENTATIVE underneath the Government & Policy category) and tell them NOT to support this lunacy...please, there is still one more day you can speak out!
