Climate change mysticism has its roots in the Marxist counter-revolution of the late 1960s. The Gaia cult leader was Ira Einhorn, instrumental in creating and launching Earth Day in 1970. He was the master of ceremonies at the first rally televised globally. Corporations burnished their public image by tithing Einhorn with public speaking and consulting fees. In 1977, Einhorn bludgeoned his girlfriend to death and composted the body in a trunk stored in his bedroom closet. Einhorn is an allegory for the climate change movement, the personification of nature, and callousness towards humanity.

Despite 50 years of failed apocalyptic forecasts of man-made climate change, fear-mongering has been amplified, promoting a 2030 extinction event. Consuming the climate change dogma is like a street psychotropic drug that alters perception.

Doomsday prophecy issued by dishonest politicians, corporate titans, and celebrities cast themselves as saviors and proclaim they are folks of reason and science, not delusional psychopaths. The unreliable green energy (mega-expensive hydrocarbon derivative) solution to reduce carbon dioxide will cost trillions of tax-payer dollars and will be a grift for the elites.

The true believers demand an inquisition of climate change deniers they consider heretics. Former Attorney General Loretta Lynch, with the support of Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, proposed using RICO to target climate skeptics. The crowd’s favorite pseudo scientist Bill Nye, PBS’s “Science Guy,” has called for jail time for climate change deniers. The United Nations has piled on by demanding justice for climate crimes. These Salem witch trials have unfinished business.

Abstract

The total amount of CO2 in the atmosphere is independent of biogenic and anthropogenic CO2 generation and primarily dependent on temperature. The Earth’s atmosphere contains a trace amount of CO2 at 0.04% in a gaseous mixture of predominately nitrogen, oxygen, and argon. All life forms on Earth are carbon based. Plants acquire their carbon from gaseous carbon dioxide or CO2 in the atmosphere and convert it to plant cells through photosynthesis. Mammals acquire their carbon by eating plants. Biogenic carbon dioxide is produced naturally by animals, bacteria and the decomposition of organic matter some of which may be deeply sequestered underground and gradually vented. Additional natural CO2 is released into the atmosphere by volcanic activity much of which occurs under deep ocean waters. Anthropogenic CO2 is produced by the use of hydrocarbon fuels and the production of cement. All free or non-contained CO2 on Earth is contained in the hydrosphere or atmosphere in a temperature dependent ratio of approximately 50:1 controlled by Henry’s Law. Additional quantities of CO2 combine with other chemicals primarily in the Earth’s oceans forming stable chemicals governed by Raoult’s law as altered by non-ideal solutions. These fundamental laws of physics and chemistry control the total amount of CO2 in the atmosphere in real time and falsify the incorrect but often cited “residency time” of atmospheric CO2. The controlling predominate factor of the relative percentage of anthropogenic CO2 in the total atmospheric reservoir of CO2 is Henry’s law and its partition ratio. Some people will misunderstand the first line in my abstract but the meaning is summed up thusly: "If humans never existed then the global average atmospheric CO2 concentration would be the same as it is today. The total amount of CO2 in the atmosphere is independent of source of the CO2 and primarily dependent on ocean surface temperature gradients. The amounts of CO2 in both air and ocean are determined by a ratio in Henry’s Gas Law, which is dependent on water temperature as well as underlying ocean chemistry and physics. This does not imply that the atmosphere is free of anthropogenic CO2. CO2 from all sources is heavily mixed in air and ocean."

It's the sun--not CO2--that causes climate change

People have heard that CO2 (carbon dioxide) is a poison which is true as far as it goes. However, "carbon dioxide in the air stimulates the growth of almost all plants on Earth" AND--something few of us have had the opportunity to know--the sun, NOT CO2, causes climate change!

"A new, peer-reviewed professional paper shows our sun, not our carbon dioxide, causes climate change. It also shows atmospheric greenhouse gas concentrations are an insignificant player, and possibly a non-player, in climate change.

The authors, Willie Soon, Ronan Connolly, and Michael Connolly received no government, corporate, or any outside funding for their work on their paper.

There’s a top-level oceanographer and meteorologist who is prepared to cry “Nonsense!”on the “global warming crisis” evident to climate modellers but not in the real world. He’s as well or better qualified than the modellers he criticises — the ones whose Year 2100 forebodings of 4degC warming have set the world to spending $US1.5 trillion a year to combat CO2 emissions.

The iconoclast is Dr. Mototaka Nakamura. In June he put out a small book in Japanese on “the sorry state of climate science”. It’s titled Confessions of a climate scientist: the global warming hypothesis is an unproven hypothesis, and he is very much qualified to take a stand.

Decline in atmospheric carbon dioxide key to ancient climate transition

University of Southampton:

A decline in atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2) levels led to a fundamental shift in the behaviour of the Earth’s climate system around one million years ago, according to new research led by the University of Southampton.

A team of international scientists used new geochemical measurements, coupled with a model of the ‘Earth system’, to show that the growth and changing nature of continental ice sheets, approximately a million years ago, coincided with a cascade of events that ultimately lowered atmospheric CO2 during glacial intervals – periods when the Earth experienced extreme cold.

The researchers have shown this change was key in triggering what is known as the Mid-Pleistocene Transition (MPT), which lasted around 400,000 years. The MPT had long lasting effects on the frequency at which the Earth transitioned between periods of warm and cold climate, (the ‘ice age cycles’).

Findings of the study are published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

“Climate Scientists” Misapplied Basic Physics

A mistake in climate model architecture changes everything. Heat trapped by increasing carbon dioxide just reroutes to space from water vapor instead.

The scare over carbon dioxide was just due to a simple modelling error. A whole category of feedbacks was omitted, which greatly exaggerated the calculated sensitivity to carbon dioxide.

The scientists who believe in the carbon dioxide theory of global warming do so essentially because of the application of “basic physics” to climate, by a model that is ubiquitous and traditional in climate science. This model is rarely named, but is sometimes referred to as the “forcing-feedback framework/paradigm.” Explicitly called the “forcing-feedback model” (FFM) here, this pen-and-paper model estimates the sensitivity of the global temperature to increasing carbon dioxide.

The UN Is Using Climate Change As A Tool, Not An Issue

It's a well-kept secret, but 95 percent of the climate models we are told prove the link between human CO2 emissions and catastrophic global warming have been found, after nearly two decades of temperature stasis, to be in error. It's not surprising. 

We have been subjected to extravagance from climate catastrophists for close to 50 years.

In January 1970, Life magazine, based on "solid scientific evidence," claimed that by 1985 air pollution would reduce the sunlight reaching the Earth by half. In fact, across that period sunlight fell by between 3 per cent and 5 per cent. In a 1971 speech, Paul Ehrlich said: "If I were a gambler I would take even money that England will not exist in the year 2000."

Fast forward to March 2000 (in England) and David Viner, senior research scientist at the Climatic Research Unit, University of East Anglia, told The Independent, "Snowfalls are now a thing of the past." In December 2010, the Mail Online reported, "Coldest December since records began as temperatures plummet to minus 10C bringing travel chaos across Britain."

We've had our own busted predictions. Perhaps the most preposterous was climate alarmist Tim Flannery's 2005 observation: "If the computer records are right, these drought conditions will become permanent in eastern Australia." Subsequent rainfall and severe flooding have shown the records or his analysis are wrong. We've swallowed dud prediction after dud prediction. 

What's more, the (UN) Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which we were instructed was the gold standard on global warming, has been exposed repeatedly for misrepresentation and shoddy methods.

Weather bureaus appear to have "homogenized" data to suit narratives. NASA's claim that 2014 was the warmest year on record was revised, after challenge, to only 38 per cent probability. Extreme weather events, once blamed on global warming, no longer are, as their frequency and intensity decline.

Why then, with such little evidence, does the UN insist the world spend hundreds of billions of dollars a year on futile climate change policies? Perhaps Christiana Figueres, executive secretary of the UN's Framework on Climate Change has the answer?

In Brussels last February she said, "This is the first time in the history of mankind that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally, within a defined period of time, to change the economic development model that has been reigning for at least 150 years since the Industrial Revolution."

In other words, the real agenda is concentrated political authority. Global warming is the hook.

Figueres is on record saying democracy is a poor political system for fighting global warming. Communist China, she says, is the best model. 

This is not about facts or logic. It's about a new world order under the control of the UN. It is opposed to capitalism and freedom, and has made environmental catastrophism a household topic to achieve its objective.

Figueres says that, unlike the Industrial Revolution, "This is a centralized transformation that is taking place." She sees the US partisan divide on global warming as "very detrimental." Of course. In her authoritarian world there will be no room for debate or disagreement.

Make no mistake, climate change is a must-win battlefield for authoritarians and fellow travelers. As (former US Senator, D-CO) Timothy Wirth, president of the UN Foundation, says: "Even if the climate change theory is wrong, we will be doing the right thing in terms of economic and environmental policy." 

Having gained so much ground, eco-catastrophists won't let up. After all, they have captured the UN and are extremely well funded. They have a hugely powerful ally in the White House. 

They have successfully enlisted compliant academics and an obedient and gullible mainstream media -- the ABC and Fairfax in Australia -- to push the scriptures regardless of evidence.

They will continue to present the climate change movement as an independent, spontaneous consensus of concerned scientists, politicians and citizens who believe human activity is "extremely likely" to be the dominant cause of global warming. ("Extremely likely" is a scientific term?)

And they will keep mobilizing public opinion using fear and appeals to morality. UN support will be assured through promised wealth redistribution from the West, even though its anti-growth policy prescriptions will needlessly prolong poverty, hunger, sickness and illiteracy for the world's poorest.

Figueres said at a climate summit in Melbourne recently that she was "truly counting on Australia's leadership" to ensure most coal stayed in the ground.

Hopefully, like India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Tony Abbott isn't listening. India knows the importance of cheap energy and is set to overtake China as the world's leading importer of coal. Even Germany is about to commission the most coal-fired power stations in 20 years.

There is a real chance Figueres and those who share her centralized power ambitions will succeed. As the UN's December climate change conference in Paris approaches, Australia will be pressed to sign even more futile job-destroying climate change treaties.

Resisting will be politically difficult. But resist we should. We are already paying an unnecessary social and economic price for empty gestures. Enough is enough.
