lgstarr wanted to comment but can't think of anything but four-letter words.
The Forest Service oversees 193 million acres of wilderness. In a month, you won't be able to take a picture in them without getting a fine — even if the new rules are unconstitutional.

Chick-fil-A LA (San Fernando Valley) and around the USA! - UPDATES

This is "my" Chick-fil-A where I spent several hours in terrible (but dry) heat today--wouldn't have survived it without the company providing ice-cold water in plastic cups from big jugs set up on a table outside. Don't be deceived: the line went for a LONG way behind what you see in this picture (Northridge, California) provided by a friend, Ari David and his wife:

Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day – as it is being called was the idea of former Arkansas governor and Fox News contributor Mike Huckabee. But as protests against Chick-fil-A swelled across the country, dozens of groups and prominent individuals joined in support of the company.

Extremely rare colour photos of U.S. troops before and after D-Day

U.K. DAILY MAIL:
Extremely rare and striking photos of the days leading up to and after the historic D-Day invasion have been put on display, nearly 70 years after World War II's dramatic turning point.

The full-colour images, taken by photographer Frank Scherschel, display anxious American soldiers as they prepared for Operation Overlord, the code name for the Battle of Normandy.

The photos also capture the celebratory tone upon the June 6 invasion’s success.

FOIA will foil Obama regime on photo

According to Daniel Metcalfe, the former chief of the Department of Justice's Office of Information and Privacy—a post that effectively made him the government's top expert in the Freedom of Information Act—the odds are better than even that a FOIA lawsuit seeking the photo's release would succeed.

When governments cause porn...

Do you agree?
Pornography and governments have an on-again-off-again relationship. Sometimes the government ignores porn and a decade will pass without any new laws regulating it. Other times governments clamp down on porn and pretty much make it illegal in any form. Right now (in 2011) we are in a period of leniency towards porn, but its time is nearly up. The reason is this: right now governments are failing to defend intellectual property and copyrights. This creates a situation in which there is so much file-sharing going on world-wide that the only way to make a living producing photos is to make porn. Small-time artists who make tasteful nudes cannot sell enough to make up for the huge losses they suffer from file-sharing. By contrast, pornographers motivated solely to make money actually depend on low production values to generate profits. It's when the only nudes around are these sordid, sadistic, and seedy kinds of porn that people start feeling they've had enough and governments start outlawing porn.
