Don Jan’s book, My Grandchildrens’ America, Will it still be the Land of the Free And the Home of the Brave? is a brilliant discussion of whether the American dream will be available to our children and grandchildren. Don’s motivation for writing his book was his realization that Karl Marx was not an economist but a political philosopher. This opened Don’s eyes to the dynamics of Obama, the Democrats and liberalism in general.
Don tells us we need to ask the right questions of our fellow citizens, not attack them with buzzwords such as Marxism, Communism and Socialism. Let’s learn to ask them these fundamental questions in which the transformational left believes:
- Does Obama believe in a heavy progressive graduated income tax?
- Does Obama believe in heavy death taxes?
- Does Obama believe in centralized government?
- Does Obama believe in strict environmental and consumer controls?
- Does Obama believe in federal control of communications and transportation?
- Does Obama believe in federal regulation and control over banks, and other financial institutions, and private companies?
- Does Obama believe labor should be unionized and that these unions should have a say in management?
- Does Obama believe in confiscation of private property for the greater good of the community?
- Does Obama believe the rights of the community supersede the rights of the individual?
The answer to all these questions is, of course, yes. Obama and all his underlings do believe in these statements and want to use them to transform America from a free, individualistic and capitalist society into huge centralized, government-controlled way of life.
