On FEBRUARY 11, 1861, newly elected President Abraham Lincoln left Springfield, Illinois, for the U.S. Capital, never to return. In his Farewell Speech he said: "I now leave, not knowing when or whether ever I may return, with a task before me greater than that which rested upon Washington. Without the assistance of that Divine Being who ever attended him, I cannot succeed. With that assistance I cannot fail."
Lincoln continued: "Trusting in Him who can go with me and remain with you, and be everywhere for good, let us confidently hope that all will yet be well...Let us all pray that the God of our fathers may not forsake us now.."
Forty-five days before his assassination, Lincoln stated in his Second Inaugural Address, March 4, 1865: "Both read the same Bible and pray to the same God...The prayers of both could not be answered...If God will that it continue until all the wealth piled by the bondsmen's two hundred and fifty years of unrequited toil shall be sunk, and until every drop of blood drawn with the lash shall be paid by another drawn with the sword, as was said three thousand years ago, so still it must be said 'the Judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.'"

NOT true. The original meaning of Natural Born was simply born in the country. That is regardless of the number of parents who are citizens.
The Wall Street Journal puts it this way: "Some birthers imagine that there is a difference between being a “citizen by birth” or a “native citizen” on the one hand and a “natural born” citizen on the other. “Eccentric” is too kind a word for this notion, which is either daft or dishonest. All three terms are identical in meaning."
And such prominent conservative Senators who are also lawyers as Orren Hatch and Lindsay Graham say that a Natural Born Citizen is simply one who was born in the USA:
Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), said:
“Every child born in the United States is a natural-born United States citizen except for the children of diplomats.” (December 11, 2008 letter to constituent)
Senator Orrin G. Hatch (R-UT), said:
“What is a natural born citizen? Clearly, someone born within the United States or one of its territories is a natural born citizen.” (Senate Judiciary Committee hearing hearing on OCTOBER 5, 2004)
