VICTOR DAVIS HANSON: The Issue Is Not Roger Stone’s Lurid Personal Life but Equality under the Law
It may be one thing (although it should not be) for private citizens to lie under oath to Congress, but when four of the top officials of our intelligence agencies have lied under oath, and in two cases admitted such, and none were indicted, and all have at times been central players in the matters Mueller is investigating throughout the entire Russian collusion fiasco, then what is left of the American idea of equality under the law?
Answer? Not much at all.

10 biblical truths about animals
Please read all ten...but this one (#9) was particularly (and deeply) moving for me:
9. Animals teach us about the nature of justiceREAD MORE
In Robert Bolt’s play, A Man for All Seasons, Sir Thomas More delivers a brilliant summation of God’s purpose for creating the angels, animals, plants, and humanity. Regarding animals, he observes God created them “for their innocence.” It is difficult to find a better description of animals than this. Animals appear to lack the capacity for moral reflection. They simply do what they do. Scripture supports this understanding. It was humans who ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, not animals (Gen. 3:1-7).
This observation of animal innocence is not only important for our understanding of animals. It also helps us understand our sense of justice. When we ask why we are offended by cruelty to animals, we recognize we are reacting to an innate sense within us that is repulsed by wanton violations of their innocence and vulnerability. This recognition helps us understand some of our motivations for our criminal justice system. When we punish acts of aggression against our fellow humans, we are responding to violations of their innocence and vulnerability. Such violations should be punished. Our sense of justice demands it.
Furthermore, we learn about divine justice from animals. Israel’s biblically mandated practice of substitutionary atonement provides this lesson. Scripture teaches that rebellion against God is sin. God’s holiness demands a penalty in response to this rebellion. In other words, God requires justice. Either the guilty person or an acceptable substitute must answer for human sin. God created the sacrificial system in Israel to help his people understand this reality. He commanded that this system regularly kill innocent animals in order to satisfy the demands of his divine justice (Lev. 16:1-34). The innocent animals would bear the sin of the people. This bloody display served as a symbol for what was yet to come—when the innocent Son of God would offer himself as the true, eternal, substitutionary sacrifice for the sin of all humanity (Rom. 3:21-26; 2 Cor. 5:21; Heb. 10:1-18).

Scalia Was Almost Never The Most Conservative Justice On The Supreme Court
A very interesting report with good charts:
With the death of Antonin Scalia on Saturday, the Supreme Court lost not only its longest-serving justice but also the most outspoken member of its conservative wing. A careful analysis of his tenure, however, shows that Scalia was almost never the most conservative justice on the court, and in fact moved leftward during the second half of his 30 years on the bench. With the exception of the 2014 term, he was usually in the majority in the court’s rulings, and the future direction of the court pivots on his replacement.READ MORE

Justice Anonin Scalia: It is “absurd” to think the Constitution bans the government from supporting religion
Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia told an audience Saturday that while the United States was intentionally founded without an established church, it was never intended to be “neutral” toward religion itself.READ MORE
Speaking about religious freedom at Archbishop Rummel High School in a Louisiana suburb of New Orleans, Scalia insisted that in American constitutional tradition, there has always been a presumption of the benefit of religion for society.
It is “absurd” to think the Constitution bans the government from supporting religion, he said.

Punish the man responsible for the torture of Puppy Doe (aka Kiya): Sign the Petition!
Please join this campaign: http://chn.ge/HeCnhW
We the undersigned respectfully request that if the Polish man currently held in custody is found guilty of the crimes of 11 counts of animal cruelty over the torture of little Kiya - Puppy Doe. That it is recommended to the Judge that the maximum sentence available under the law is carried out. And each count of animal cruelty is taken into consideration.
We will be requesting that the Judge applies the maximum sentence available for this tragic animal cruelty.
We also request that if this man who tortured Puppy Doe is found guilty, the court “prohibit the person from owning or having custody or control of an animal” for the rest of their lifetime.
Kiya - Puppy Doe endured something that no animal should ever have to endure.
A necropsy performed on Puppy Doe revealed the most heartbreaking short life of an innocent puppy who may not have ever had a happy day. She had been starved, repeatedly abused and tortured. There had been multiple broken bones by being pulled apart, stab wounds to her eyes, and a particularly disgusting serpent like split cut into the puppy's tongue.
Sincerely..
Here is what the petition says:

The purpose of today's civil-rights establishment is not to seek justice, but to seek power for blacks...
Be sure to read Shelby Steele's THE DECLINE OF THE CIVIL-RIGHTS ESTABLISHMENT
If there is anything good to be drawn from the Zimmerman/Martin tragedy, it is only the further revelation of the corruption and irrelevance of today's civil-rights leadership.

Whites are sixty times more likely to be assaulted by blacks in America than blacks by whites.
From Clark Baker:
Why are so many ostensibly educated people confused about Zimmerman's acquittal? Having served with the LAPD and USMC, wrestled, fought, and investigated hundreds of assaults, I may have some insight about the kinds of injuries expected on violent suspects and their victims.
If a woman had head injuries like those on Zimmerman's head, and her husband had injuries like those on Trayvon's knuckles, I probably would not have arrested the woman - even if she shot him. At the very least, Zimmerman's head injuries and Trayvon's knuckle abrasions raise enough "reasonable doubt" that I could not in good conscience arrest Zimmerman. Trayvon's injuries were not "defense wounds," and if he had time to pummel Zimmerman with his fists, he had time to run away from a neighborhood watch citizen who had a Constitutionally-protected right to follow Trayvon and ask questions.
All citizens have powers to arrest, just as they have a right to ask reasonable questions of others. When asked questions, a civilized person would respond in kind. In the landmark “community policing” treatise “BROKEN WINDOWS” (Atlantic 1982), Professor Wilson describes “strangers” and “regulars.” As a “stranger,” (i.e. someone who a regular doesn’t recognize), Trayvon’s response to Zimmerman’s inquiry might’ve been, “Hi – I’m Trayvon, and I’m visiting my dad’s girlfriend who lives at …” If Zimmerman didn’t believe Trayvon, he could have followed the “stranger” until he arrived at his destination. Once invited by the resident, the “stranger” becomes a “regular.”
The knee-jerk reaction against Zimmerman is no different from the hatred expressed against Tom Robinson (To Kill a Mockingbird). Like the accused in that movie, the allegations against Zimmerman are apparently so outrageous that his accusers don't need evidence as much as they need a lynching. Having spent my adult life protecting the lives of others, I'm a bit sensitive about human rights, due process and evidence - even when the accused is a "white Hispanic."
Had Zimmerman and Trayvon both been black (or Zimmerman black and Trayvon white), none of the armchair civil rights wannabes who feign outrage (usually to showcase their own racial innocence) would care. To them, it doesn’t matter that whites are sixty times more likely to be assaulted by blacks in America than blacks by whites. Their preoccupation with the races of Trayvon and Zimmerman betray the real racism in America.

The day the music died...goodbye America
January 26, 2012 was a red-letter day in American history. It was the day on which justice died a painful death in an Atlanta courtroom. The hearts of patriots are broken. An immediate appeal is in order.LADY JUSTICE HAS DIED
We were sleeping too long, enjoying our lives, and taking our freedom for granted.
And then there's this:Obama kept on GA ballot by Secretary of State Brian Kemp, Kemp upheld Judge Malihi ruling, Obama attorney Jablonski on Kemp Advisory Council
From CITIZEN WELLS
At this point, reasonable people need to contemplate whether we even have rule of law anymore and whether it could even be restored via working within the system. I am hearing much talk of extraordinary measures. God help us. . .
Michael Jablonski, General Counsel, Democratic Party of Georgia, who represented Obama in the Georgia ballot challenge and who defiantly refused to attend the hearing with Judge Malihi, is on the GA Secretary of State Elections Advisory Council.

MILITARY PROSECUTORS WITHHOLD EVIDENCE; ARMY RANGER GOES TO PRISON FOR 25 YEARS FOR SHOOTING AL QAEDA OPERATIVE

On March 20th, 2009, Army Ranger 1st Lieutenant Michael Behenna was sentenced to 25 years in prison for killing Ali Mansur, a known Al Qaeda operative while serving in Iraq. Mansur was known to be a member of an Al Qaeda cell operating in the lieutenant’s area of operation and Army intelligence believed he organized an attack on Lt. Behenna’s platoon in April 2008 which killed two U.S. soldiers and injured two more. Army intelligence ordered the release of Mansur and Lt. Behenna was ordered to return the terrorist to his home. Please: send him a letter, sign the petition, and donate -- Defend Michael because he defended us!
During the return of Mansur, Lt. Behenna again questioned the Al Qaeda member for information about other members of the terrorist cell, and financial supporters. During this interrogation, Mansur attacked Lt. Behenna, who killed the terrorist in self-defense. The government subsequently prosecuted Lt. Behenna for premeditated murder.
Not only is this a miscarriage of justice on the behalf of Lt. Behenna, who was acting to prevent further loss of life in his platoon, it is demoralizing to the U.S. troops who continue to fight on behalf of the freedom and security of our nation.

How George Soros has hijacked the American justice system
The American Justice Partnership explained that 39 states now have some form of judicial elections that provide judges be held accountable to the people they serve. However, Soros' goal has been to convert the procedures into various "merit" selection processes – which mostly have a special panel, often appointed and frequently political – to choose a slate of candidates from which someone, such as a governor, would appoint a judge.Read the whole thing

King Obama
We understand that, in our litigation system, the wheels of justice often roll on as if the tires were flat — or worse, square. But it is our system and it guards against the executive branch trying to establish justice as a monarch would, by fiat and political favors. It should not be bypassed for convenience or political gain.Seizing Justice
Texas Republican Rep. Joe Barton is right to characterize the $20 billion fund a "shakedown," just as GOP Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota is correct in calling it a "redistribution-of-wealth fund" and a "gateway for more government control."
This White House is treading yet again on ground that it should stay away from. That the infringement has gone this far is a regret. If it goes any further, it will be a tragedy.

The Left does not care about human rights
The radicalization of liberalism also meant the growing legitimation of terrorism (particularly of those groups backed by the USSR and its left allies) and the delegitimization of those governments resisting them. The left routinely couches its political attacks on those governments in the language of human rights-- but human rights has nothing to do with it. The left hypocritically assails Columbia's Uribe on human rights, while giving Castro, Chavez and the rest of the Marxist gang a pass. Just as it assailed the condition of workers in the US, while giving Lenin and Stalin a pass on an agricultural and industrial system built on the murder of millions. Similarly the left jumps on every Israeli soldier who stops a suspicious Muslim at a checkpoint, while ignoring not only Fatah and Hamas' murder of Israeli civilians, but even their murders of their own citizens.Read the whole thing
None of this matters because the left doesn't believe in human rights. It doesn't care about human rights. It never has. Not when Stalin was paving roads with slave labor, nor when Saddam's minions were entertaining themselves in rape rooms. Anyone who seriously thinks that the left is actually outraged about Abu Ghraib because they care about the dignity of man, rather than because they are congenital liars and hypocrites who exploit any misstep by their enemies for propaganda purposes, has not been paying attention. The majority of regimes that the left wing has supported were non-democratic and routinely violate basic human rights. The left not only doesn't give a damn, it defends every one of their crimes.
So let's put to rest the farce that there is anything Israel could do that would win over its left wing critics. The same people who control the dialogue in the press and the melding of minds at universities. To them it is not about justice or doing the right thing or human rights. Those are just words that they use as weapons. Paying attention to those words and trying to demonstrate your innocence only makes you weak and vulnerable. And then they redouble their efforts to cut you to pieces with them. That is what happened to America. It is what is happening to Israel. It is what happens to anyone who stands in the way of their red handed allies.
Of course the left does have a special animus for Israel...
