Why Democrats Own El Paso

Ironically, it’s the Democrats who want white nationalism in the White House, not Trump and his conservative supporters. It’s high time they take responsibility for their dangerous and irresponsible rhetoric, before they embolden more hate groups to act out.

Why Carry a Gun?

My old Grandpa said to me, 'Son, there comes a time in every man's life when he stops bustin' knuckles and starts bustin' caps and usually it's when he becomes too old to take a whoopin'.'
I don't carry a gun to kill people; I carry a gun to keep from being killed.
I don't carry a gun because I'm evil; I carry a gun because I have lived long enough to see the evil in the World.
I don't carry a gun because I hate the government; I carry a gun because I understand the limitations of government.
I don't carry a gun because I'm angry; I carry a gun so that I don't have to spend the rest of my life hating myself for failing to be prepared.
I don't carry a gun because I want to shoot someone; I carry a gun because I want to die at a ripe old age in my bed and not on a sidewalk somewhere tomorrow afternoon.
I don't carry a gun to make me feel like a man; I carry a gun because men know how to take care of themselves and the ones they love.
I don't carry a gun because I feel inadequate; I carry a gun because unarmed and facing three armed thugs, I am inadequate.
I don't carry a gun because I love it; I carry a gun because I love life and the people who make it meaningful to me.
Police protection is an oxymoron: Free citizens must protect themselves because police do not protect you from crime; they just investigate the crime after it happens and then call someone in to clean up the mess.
Personally, I carry a gun because I'm too young to die and too old to take a whoopin'!
A Little Gun History
Please don't think for a moment that this couldn't happen in our country!!!

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control:
>From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
-----------------------
In 1911, Turkey established gun control:
>From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
-----------------------
Germany established gun control in 1938:
>From 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.
-----------------------
China established gun control in 1935:
>From 1948 to 1952 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
-----------------------
Guatemala established gun control in 1964:
>From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
-----------------------
Uganda established gun control in 1970:
>From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
-----------------------
Cambodia established gun control in 1956:
>From 1975 to 1977, one million educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
-----------------------
56 million defenseless people were rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control.
-----------------------
You won't see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information.
Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.
With guns, we are 'citizens'; without them, we are 'subjects'.
During WW II, the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew most Americans were ARMED!
Gun owners in the USA are the largest armed forces in the World! If you value your freedom, please spread this anti-gun control message to all of your friends. The purpose of fighting is to win. There is no possible victory in defense. The sword is more important than the shield and skill is more important than either.
Switzerland issues a gun to every household. Switzerland's government issues and trains every adult in the use of a rifle. Switzerland has the lowest gun related crime rate of any civilized country in the world!
I'm a firm believer in the 2nd Amendment! If you are too, please forward this. If you're not a believer, please reconsider the true facts. This is history; not what's being shown on TV, sanctioned by our illustrious delusional leaders in Washington.

Major European countries, such as Norway, Finland, France, Switzerland and Russia, all have at least 25 percent higher per capita murder rates from mass public shootings than the United States!

America doesn’t lead the world in mass public shootings. We’re not even close. Just last month, a school shooting in Crimea, Russia, claimed 20 lives and wounded 65 others. But Americans usually don’t hear about such events.

The Crime Prevention Research Center, of which I am president, recently finished updating a list of mass public shootings worldwide. . .
Of the 97 countries where we identified mass public shootings, the U.S. ranks 64th per capita in its rate of attacks and 65th in fatalities. Major European countries, such as Norway, Finland, France, Switzerland and Russia, all have at least 25 percent higher per capita murder rates from mass public shootings.

While Americans are rightly concerned by the increased frequency and severity of mass public shootings, the rest of the world is experiencing much larger increases in per capita rates of attack. The frequency of foreign mass public shootings since 1998 has grown 291 percent faster than in the U.S.

The media bias on this is overwhelming. Even after President Donald Trump again raised the danger of gun-free zones, the news media still refuse to mention this fact in its reporting of mass shootings. . .

The real truth about who is actually behind the 200,000 kids--final tally reported by CBS--who attended March for Our Lives on 3/24/18

Saturday, March 24, 2018

Who Runs March for Our Lives?

Follow the money.

It’s a strange political fact, but nearly every major anti-gun group has been a front group. The NRA is maligned 24/7 and yet it’s completely obvious whom it represents. Despite the efforts to tie it to everyone from firearms manufacturers to the Russians (if you can’t tie any random Republican thing to the Russians these days, you won’t be working at the Washington Post or CNN for very long), it represents its five million members. Anti-gun groups tend to represent shadowy networks.

Schools are safer than they were in the 90s, and school shootings are not more common than they used to be, researchers say

The deadly school shooting this month in Parkland, Florida, has ignited national outrage and calls for action on gun reform. But while certain policies may help decrease gun violence in general, it’s unlikely that any of them will prevent mass school shootings, according to James Alan Fox, the Lipman Family Professor of Criminology, Law, and Public Policy at Northeastern.

REPEAL THE 2ND AMENDMENT? YES, PLEASE TRY

POWERLINE:
Actually, the liberals have an easier plan to get rid of the 2nd Amendment. All they need is one more Supreme Court justice, and if Hillary Clinton had been elected, that need would, in all likelihood, have been filled. But that doesn’t deal with state constitutional protections, it doesn’t get confiscation legislation passed at the federal level, and it doesn’t begin to address the impossible task–as Cooke ably describes it–of actually carrying out the confiscation.

Do liberals have the stomach for any of this? It doesn’t seem so. They could have passed whatever “common sense” gun legislation they wanted during the time when they controlled the House, had a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate, and Barack Obama as president. But they didn’t touch gun issues with a stick. Which pretty much proves that their only interest in the subject is political.

Flashback 30 Years: Guns Were in Schools ... and Nothing Happened

PJ MEDIA:
The millennial generation might be surprised to learn that theirs is the first without guns in school. Just 30 years ago, high school kids rode the bus with rifles and shot their guns at high school rifle ranges.

After another school shooting, it's time to ask: what changed?

UPDATED:

One in 10 Americans now takes antidepressant medications and many others illegally acquire these drugs for recreational use. . .

In addition to pondering practical questions like, “How did this guy obtain a gun in the first place?”, maybe it’s time we also started a national conversation about “medication control” and stopped drugging up all our young white males with mind-altering drugs. One of the reasons all these shooters are young white males, by the way, is because young white males are the primary targets of psychiatric drugging in America. . .

Stephen Paddock, who killed at least 58 people and wounded hundreds more in Las Vegas on Sunday with high-powered rifles, was prescribed an anti-anxiety drug in June that can lead to aggressive behavior, the Las Vegas Review-Journal has learned.

Records from the Nevada Prescription Monitoring Program obtained Tuesday show Paddock was prescribed 50 10-milligram diazepam tablets by Henderson physician Dr. Steven Winkler on June 21.

South Carolina Suspect Caught, and the Politicization Begins

6/18/15: David French, NATIONAL REVIEW
While early reports are often wrong, the available evidence indicates that a young man committed a terrorist act in a church, one apparently motivated by racial hatred. Now is the time to find and punish the guilty — while standing with the victims through prayer, compassion, and the material support they need. Some people, however, can’t resist spreading even more racial bitterness. Their ideology is too compulsive and their anger is too deep.

Losing a friend

Just learned that a new friend of ours John Fasano passed away July 19, 2014.

Comments on Deadline Hollywood all say what we discovered...John was so funny, generous, talented, and well-loved and will be really, really missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.

More about him and his career at Hollywood Reporter and Variety.

We had such a great time during this last year with John and his wife, Edie--they lived half a block down the tree and grass-lined streets against the mountains and across the street from our fantastic mutual yoga teacher, Marydale. Such good times!

They sold their place shortly after we sold ours last April and we were getting ready for them to visit us any day here in Arizona! My husband had planned to launch a relentless campaign to get them to move here (they were in the process of deciding among 5 or 6 different locations around the country).

Friends and good people are hard to find.

So, so damn sorry.

Wall Street advisor recommends guns, ammo for protection in collapse

A top financial advisor, worried that Obamacare, the NSA spying scandal and spiraling national debt is increasing the chances for a fiscal and social disaster, is recommending that Americans prepare a “bug-out bag” that includes food, a gun and ammo to help them stay alive.
David John Marotta, a Wall Street expert and financial advisor and Forbes contributor, said in a note to investors, “Firearms are the last item on the list, but they are on the list. There are some terrible people in this world. And you are safer when your trusted neighbors have firearms.”
