"The warnings in George Orwell’s 1984, Friedrich Hayek’s The Road to Serfdom, Arthur Koestler’s Darkness at Noon, Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451, and virtually all the works of Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn seem to all be coming true. A startling movement of totalitarian thought and behavior control is growing. It is eager to use government and the threat of prosecution to coerce the rest of us." --Newt Gingrich (9/6/2023)

RFK Jr. Says Climate Change Being Exploited to Push ‘Totalitarian Controls’
EXCERPT:
Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. said that climate-related issues are being “exploited” by wealthy individuals in a bid to enact “totalitarian controls” over society.
“Climate issues and pollution issues are being exploited by … mega billionaires” like Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, Kennedy told radio host Kim Iversen over the past weekend. “The same way that COVID was exploited to use it as an excuse to clamp down top-down totalitarian controls on society and then to give us engineering solutions.”
“And if you look closely, as it turns out, the guys who are promoting those engineering solutions are the people who own … the patents for those solutions,” Kennedy said during Iversen’s show. “It’s a way they’ve given climate chaos a bad name because people now see that it’s just another crisis that’s being used to strip mine the wealth of the poor and to enrich billionaires.”
“I, for 40 years, have had the same policy on climate and engineering,” said Kennedy, the scion of former Attorney General and New York Sen. Robert F. Kennedy. “You can go check my speeches from the 1980s, and I’ve said the most important solution for environmental issues [is] not top-down controls, it’s free market capitalism.”

Green New Dealers: Fascists, not Socialists
Today’s Green New Dealers and their allies have mapped out their own totalitarian strategies.READ MORE
They proclaim themselves socialists, but their economic policies and tolerance for other viewpoints reflect a different form of government – fascism: A political system in which authoritarian government does not own businesses and industries, but strictly regulates and controls their actions, output and rights – while constraining and suppressing citizens and their thought, speech and access to information.

"Two hundred years ago Marx was born. He belongs in a small but important category: people who should never have existed."
For those who forgot, or never learned, communism’s toll, both Death by Governmentby R.J. Rummel and The Black Book of Communism: Crimes, Terror, Repression, with several authors, are essential reading. The numbers are grotesque, horrifying, unbelievable. The Black Bookfigures 85 to 100 million victims. Estimates vary widely among researchers and we will never know for sure. However, in raw numbers Adolf Hitler was only the third most prolific murderer, though the Holocaust should be recognized as a unique monstrosity. Debates over deaths that were intended versus those that merely proved inevitable when moronic, all-powerful leaders unleashed bizarre social engineering projects ignore the essential point: both forms of killing were natural outgrowths, albeit extreme, of the philosophy developed by Marx, of course aided and supplemented by others.READ MORE

Revising history and The Ministry of Truth
NOW A NEW BROADWAY PLAY STARRING TOM STURRIDGE AND OLIVIA WILDE
Written in 1948, 1984 was George Orwell’s chilling prophecy about the future. And while 1984 has come and gone, his dystopian vision of a government that will do anything to control the narrative is timelier than ever...
“The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”
Winston Smith toes the Party line, rewriting history to satisfy the demands of the Ministry of Truth. With each lie he writes, Winston grows to hate the Party that seeks power for its own sake and persecutes those who dare to commit thoughtcrimes. But as he starts to think for himself, Winston can’t escape the fact that Big Brother is always watching...
A startling and haunting vision of the world, 1984 is so powerful that it is completely convincing from start to finish. No one can deny the influence of this novel, its hold on the imaginations of multiple generations of readers, or the resiliency of its admonitions—a legacy that seems only to grow with the passage of time.

The Democrats’ Theme for 2016 Is Totalitarianism
For those of you keeping track, the Democrats and their allies on the left have now: voted in the Senate to repeal the First Amendment, proposed imprisoning people for holding the wrong views on global warming, sought to prohibit the showing of a film critical of Hillary Rodham Clinton, proposed banning politically unpopular academic research, demanded that funding politically unpopular organizations and causes be made a crime and that the RICO organized-crime statute be used as a weapon against targeted political groups. They have filed felony charges against a Republican governor for vetoing a piece of legislation, engaged in naked political persecutions of members of Congress, and used the IRS and the ATF as weapons against political critics.

Alan Keyes: Obama Is A Serial Killer In The Mold Of Hitler And Stalin
“I survey the evidence of Obama’s years in office, and the pattern of activity that emerges confirms my longstanding premonition that, like the hardline socialists of the 20th century, he is a harbinger of death, including the tragic death of the conscience, prosperity and just premises of my country,” he adds, warning that Obama will soon use the Trans-Pacific Partnership “to rip the Second Amendment from the Constitution” and further “his importation of foreign cadre into the United States religiously or ideological committed to the destruction of our people, our unalienable rights and the freedoms (like freedom of speech and the free exercise of religion) without which we will be helpless to articulate and/or organize to defend those rights.”READ MORE

Fourteen Signposts to Slavery
Historian Dr. Warren Carroll and Mike Djordjevich, a refugee from communist Yugoslavia, together compiled a list of what they described as “Fourteen Signposts to Slavery,” warning signs that our government might be slipping into totalitarianism.READ MORE
Author Gary Allen included the list in his landmark 1971 book “None Dare Call It Conspiracy”. He noted that none of the items listed were in effect at the time the list was compiled, but some had been put into place as of the writing of the book, and the alarms that are set off are even more relevant today than they were in the early seventies.
Allen wrote “The imposition of any one of these new restrictions on liberty would be a clear warning that the totalitarian state is very near; and once a significant number of them – perhaps five has been imposed, we can rationally conclude that the remainder would not be far behind and that the fight for freedom and the preservation of the Republic has been lost to this country.”
We can hope that actual nature of the reality is less grim than his evaluation as by my count, we have exceeded that total already.
The fourteen signposts are in no particular order as to relevance and are as follows.

When will YOU disappear?
We asked you to contemplate whether the time had come to declare the federal “government” a criminal entity and to withdraw allegiance from it. We asked you to consider discussing this question with your friends...
- The NSA is spying on you and sharing this information with the DEA
- The DEA is then sharing this information with local law enforcement
- Law enforcement is hiding where the evidence came from
- This means you cannot effectively challenge the evidence in court
You now know this to be untrue. It’s just one more lie. So let me ask you ...
At what point does our so-called government cease to be legitimate? At what point do we declare it to be a criminal entity?
I no longer consider the federal “government” to have any legitimate authority. A long train of abuses and usurpations persuades my conscience that it has become a criminal enterprise. In the future I will submit to it out of fear rather than allegiance. Here’s part of why I feel this way ...
- NSA spying
- Fat-cat bailouts at taxpayer expense
- Missing weapons of mass destruction in Iraq
- Massive counterfeiting by the Federal Reserve
- Acts of torture committed in your name
- Indefinite detention under NDAA provisions
- Illegal wars
- IRS targeting of political opponents
- Drone attacks on foreign civilians
- The largest, national incarceration rate on the planet
- Assassinating Americans
- Obamacare imposed against the will of the people
- Illegal gun-running in Operation Fast & Furious
- When have you had enough?
- When have your friends had enough?
Other people are having similar thoughts. While you may disagree with some elements of these articles (we do), you may still find it valuable to read ...
- Claire Wolfe, who writes, “...millions... have been edging for years toward the realization that something’s terribly, terribly wrong.”
- Paul Craig Roberts, who declares that, “Americans are oppressed by an illegitimate government ruling, not by law and the Constitution, but by lies and naked force.”

Please pass the snake oil
The dirty secret about being in power is that you can only claim to be the authorities when the people willingly comply. The laws you enact must be reasonable and acceptable to the masses, because non-compliance breeds contempt for the law and authority. No regime can claim to be in control when the common citizens regard them as a joke.READ MORE
What brought down the Soviet regime? First they made promises they couldn’t keep. They taxed and spent with no regard of their national debt. The citizens realizing there was no point in hard work began to slack off (go Galt). In whispers, hushed tones and written on bathroom walls, the people began to mock the ruling regime. Contempt for authority grew like weeds, the black market flourished. Eventually the rulers could no longer sustain the illusion that they were in control.
The more people who laugh at the king and his men behind their backs, the more the king’s authority shrinks until, like Assad in Syria or Gahddafi [Libya] or Saddam Hussein [Iraq] he finds himself the ruler of nothing but the hole he’s hiding in.
