Cohen, Flynn, and Manafort were targeted for political reasons, and that should scare the hell out of every American in our country, no matter what color you are, how you vote, or how wealthy you are, and something must be done to stop it.
It’s time for the U.S. Attorney General to stop this madness, and create internal policies to prevent it from happening in the future, and if for some reason, he cannot get the job done, that the president must find someone that can.

I spent many months assuring people that nothing like this could ever happen — that the FBI and Justice Department would not countenance the provision to the FISA court of uncorroborated allegations of heinous misconduct. When Trump enthusiasts accused them of rigging the process, I countered that they probably had not even used the Steele dossier. If the Justice Department had used it in writing a FISA warrant application, I insisted that the FBI would independently verify any important facts presented to the court, make any disclosures that ought in fairness be made so the judge could evaluate the credibility of the sources, and compellingly demonstrate probable cause before alleging that an American was a foreign agent.READ MORE
I was wrong.
The Grassley referral needs be fully declassified, just as the House memo was. The FBI needs to answer straightforward questions about Mr. Steele’s claims, and he needs to provide his version. The FBI got fooled by a source, or it knew its source was lying, or it didn’t bother to check, or it was too incompetent to see the obvious. Take your pick. Below is a timeline of events – abbreviated though it is – that makes it rather plain that the FBI and DOJ were not investigating potential crimes objectively.
Indeed, they were committing crimes during the process in aid of their preferred outcomes.
It seems a reasonable inference, to put it as blandly as possible, that the [Christopher Steele] dossier was used to justify the opening of what the Feds call an "FI" (Full Investigation), which in turn was used to justify a FISA order permitting the FBI to put Trump's associates under surveillance. Indeed, it seems a reasonable inference that the dossier was created and supplied to friendly forces within the bureau in order to provide a pretext for an FI, without which surveillance of the Trump campaign would not be possible.
The Intelligence Committee memo obviously outlines a major scandal that indicts principal figures in the FBI, including James Comey, Andrew McCabe, and Sally Yates and Rod Rosenstein, unless the latter two officials were unaware of the fraud that was being perpetrated on the federal court. Whether some of those involved should go to prison would require a careful examination of relevant federal statutes.READ MORE
The memo leaves much unsaid. The timing is unclear, at least to me. It sounds as though the FBI continued to renew its FISA warrant long after it had terminated its relationship with Steele and knew, or should have known, that his information was bogus. Why? Did the FBI tell the FISA court in these renewal applications that it had terminated its relationship with Steele, or that it had been unable to corroborate his claims? Presumably not.
Also, we don’t know what was done with the information that was collected about Carter Page–and, of course, about anyone with whom he communicated. This is where the enormous number of “unmasking” requests by Obama officials like Susan Rice come in. Did the Obama administration use the ill-gotten FISA warrants to spy, not only on Carter Page, but on others who had some relationship with Trump, or even Trump himself? Did the Obama administration pass information obtained from improper surveillance on to the Clinton campaign, or leak it to the press after the election?
The Intelligence Committee memo is a major step forward, but we have not yet gotten to the bottom of what happened in the heavily-politicized Department of Justice and FBI.

The Storm has begun. It’ll grow exponentially over the next few weeks, likely will culminate with Hillary, Bill, maybe even Zero wearing orange jumpsuits.
It’ll be a year or more before that happens. It takes time to work up the food chain, and to prepare public opinion for what, just two months ago, was unthinkable.
Be patient. Justice will be done because POTUS and his allies have taken the time to build strong cases, to diminish the credibility of our enemies, to prepare the battlefield for the wild ride ahead.
In conclusion, while there is a dearth of evidence to date that the Trump campaign colluded in Russia’s cyber espionage attack on the 2016 election, there is abundant evidence that the Obama administration colluded with the Clinton campaign to use the Steele dossier as a vehicle for court-authorized monitoring of the Trump campaign — and to fuel a pre-election media narrative that U.S. intelligence agencies believed Trump was scheming with Russia to lift sanctions if he were elected president. Congress should continue pressing for answers, and President Trump should order the Justice Department and FBI to cooperate rather than — what’s the word? — resist.— Andrew C. I recently posted this rough analogy for those who don't understand how the FBI targeted President Trump, Gen. Flynn, and Paul Manafort - and how none of us are safe:Let's say that my associates and I operate an out-of-control and unaccountable government bureaucracy. You're doing nothing illegal, I must create a pretext (like the Russian Dossier") to begin our assault.This is how corrupt bureaucracies and criminal operations attack targets like President Trump. Because there are no checks or balances (and because they ignore/resist Congressional oversight), these unaccountable bureaucrats don't need to start with the primary target. If the actual target (i.e. Trump) is too big, they'll target his friends, family, and associates for similar harassment (i.e. Manafort, Flynn, their wives, kids). If they can't stop you, they'll stop your kids and your friends and tell them that you're the actual target. If they report one bad story (true or false) they can extricate themselves from the trap to serve as witnesses against you.
While you're driving responsibly, I pull you over for running a stop sign (called a "pretext stop"), even though you've committed no violation. During the interview, you deny running through a stop sign and claim that you're coming from the barber when you're actually coming from Sally's house. Although your driving and visit with Sally were entirely legal, you misrepresented the fact that you visited with Sally, not the barber. Now I can arrest you for lying. (NOTE - It's not illegal to lie to police - it IS a felony to lie to FBI.)
I then use unrestrained subpoena power to look at your bank accounts, harass and threaten your friends and associates. If any of your friends deliberately or accidentally misrepresent an innocuous fact, they too can be charged. You hire an attorney to defend you, while a phalanx of FBI/DOJ lawyers file a barrage of documents and demands that require thousands of hours of legal fees that you can't afford. Your wife and family now face the loss of your home and assets, all based upon a false claim that you ran a stop sign and lied about Sally.
This is how corrupt cops, industries, bureaucracies, and governments operate. Corrupt bureaucracies like the DOJ and FBI are now attacking threats to protect themselves because they don't want Trump and other honest elected representatives to uncover the real dirt that exists in these agencies. Whether you support President Trump or not, the fact that the FBI and DOJ can do this to a sitting President means that NONE OF US ARE SAFE.
Like Hillary said: "If that fucking bastard wins, we'll all hang!"
