In Acts 5, Peter and the apostles were forbidden by the High Priest of the Sadducees to preach the gospel in the streets and the temple. They were thrown in prison and an angel of the Lord freed them. They were again brought before the priest, who said, "Did we not straightly command you that ye should not teach in this name?...Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men." In essence, this is the Christian commission to obey God rather than humanism. God's laws are supreme and just, man's laws are flawed, sometimes just, sometimes unjust. As Martin Luther King, Jr. said, "An unjust law is no law at all."
The Communist Manifesto says, "...Communism abolishes eternal truths, it abolishes all religion, and all morality, instead of constituting them on a new basis; it therefore acts in contradiction to all past historical experience." From a humanistic point of view--a communist or socialist believes that a just law is unjust unless it follows the Manifesto. And the manifesto denies Christianity. What we see today, therefore, is a dichotomy regarding social justice. One form is Biblical social justice rooted in God's law as fulfilled by Jesus Christ and His righteousness. And another form, political social justice, rooted in humanist principles but disguised as Christian by those claiming to be men of God supporting it.
Political social justice as defined by man in contemporary society is against the word of God. And because we are a nation whose laws are derived from the Laws of God wrapped in the garment of Liberty, we have not only a say in them, but a responsibility to the God we serve to uphold the laws of God over the laws of man. Law is only just if it is in harmony with God's law...And since we are justified by faith, taking on the righteousness of Christ, justice emanates from "we" as a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation hungering and thirsting for righteousness; that in this act we shall be filled and salvation of souls be at hand.
Christians, as the ones who know the truth, are responsible to act on it through the righteousness of Christ. We must put aside traditions of men and hyper-Biblical doctrines, and act on the Word. The Beatitudes, found in Christ's Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5-7, is a call to action by Jesus Christ. If we are hungering and thirsting for righteousness we shall be filled--our faith shall find action as a just people. And we shall, as James 1:25 says, "...look into the perfect law of liberty, and continue therein..., being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed." Let us hunger and seek after righteousness by not being deceived, and by being hearers and doers of the word as we continue in the perfect law of liberty. This is the true social justice of Christianity--not the false imitation of humanist social justice. Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

ONE CHRISTMAS
"...the spirit of those two wonderful men lives on here and especially in heaven, and I am reminded of them every Christmas Eve--in the best of times or worst of times, they were the best of men."ONE CHRISTMAS
Tuesday, December 26, 2017
There are a lot of terrible things going on right now in the world. But we are at the time of the year when we as Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. We can choose to be impacted by the world around us in its dimly lit arena, or we can choose to let our light so shine. I choose the latter. I want to tell you a little about the Christmas' that I had growing up on our family farm in Ohio. I was blessed to be born into a horse and cattle farm that has been in our family for some 200 years. And Christmas, especially Christmas Eve, was a wonderful time for our family. December 24 was my Dad's birthday. And my Dad was well loved by his neighbors and friends, so we had a lot going on Christmas Eve.
I remember one special Christmas Eve. I must have been about four years old. The night was falling and the wind and snow were whipping across the barnyard, as we often were victims of the "lake effect" from Lake Erie in the southern most tip of the snow belt. The barn was cold when we turned on the lights and started climbing into the loft and throwing bales of hay down, putting the hay in the mangers, grain in the feed boxes and water in the buckets. Then the horses and cows were gathered in the barnyard, one by one we let them through the door and they automatically went to their stalls or stanchions. The barn warmed up and the animals contently eating was a comforting sound.
We had dinner and went to church. I remember my brother Chuck carried me out of church that night. He was 14 years older than me and we were so very close. He was asking me whether I thought Santa had made it to the farm yet. And I was worried that it was so early on Christmas Eve that he had not--for we celebrated our family Christmas on Christmas Eve with my Dad's birthday. Then he looked up at the moon and said, "See there...its Santa's sleigh and his reindeer. Don't you see them?" He was so convincing that I looked and looked, but couldn't find them. But Chuck insisted that he had seen Santa Clause. We got home and sure enough there were wonderful presents under the tree.
We had a great family time that year, opening presents and enjoying one another. And afterwards, neighbors and friends started dropping by to wish my Dad happy birthday. Their kids and me were playing with my new farm set, and there was a lot of laughter and fun. Chuck was killed by a drunk driver a few years later. Dad passed in 1989. But the spirit of those two wonderful men lives on here and especially in heaven, and I am reminded of them every Christmas Eve--in the best of times or worst of times, they were the best of men. We have a Savior, Jesus Christ, who is with us in all times. And no matter the condition of the world, we can draw comfort in His promise in Matthew 28:20, "I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world." God Bless you and yours during this season.
Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

A pastor speculates about Obama and Islam
Monday, December 7, 2015: The "president" raises more questions than answers
Interestingly, David French who is an attorney, a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and a staff writer at National Review published this article on the same day!!
Dispelling the ‘Few Extremists’ Myth – the Muslim World Is Overcome with Hate
The US "president" spent 13 minutes between a reception for movie stars and the Kennedy Center Honors performance to tell Americans that Muslims aren't the problem with terrorist attacks, that we are not at war with Islam, and that his Administration would continue doing the same things it is already doing to fight terrorism, but is expecting better results. He spent nearly 25% of his speech telling America that Muslims were not the problem, but rather the solution to defeat Islam. He said, "If we're to succeed in defeating terrorism we must enlist Muslim communities as some of our strongest allies, rather than push them away through suspicion and hate." But how does a Muslim fight against his own beliefs?
The "president" says Muslims are radicalized by "embracing a perverted interpretation of Islam that calls for war against America and the West." The Koran, however, Islam's holy book, instructs Muslims to kill, maim, and subdue infidels in some 109 verses such as Surah 2.191 "And slay them wherever ye catch them, and turn them out from where they have Turned you out; for tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter," and Surah 8.012, "I am with you: give firmness to the Believers: I will instill terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them." Why would this "president," born and raised a Muslim, deny that Islam instructs every Muslim to do such?
According to the Heritage Foundation, lethal terrorist attacks against Americans have increased fourfold during this "president's" term compared with the previous Administration. Except for gun control, the "president" proposed nothing new in his address. He said he would continue to partner with Muslims to defeat Muslims, continue to provide training and equipment to "tens of thousands of Iraqi and Syrian forces," and crack down on visa requirements in the US. But arming and training these Muslims is what strengthened the Islamic State with terrorists using our weapons. And why has this "president" reduced visa requirements, which allowed the very terrorist in the San Bernardino attack to come to the US?
Breitbart reports that since the "president" took office, "the number of visas issued per year to non-friendly, non-waiver residents has jumped by over 50 percent to 9,932,480 last year. The fastest-growing sector of the program is the "Fiancé Visa" program, known as "K-1," which jumped from 30,290 in 2013 to 41,488 in 2014. San Bernardino terrorist Tashfeen Malik was one of them." The "president's" partnering with Muslims also is extremely dangerous. For example, the Free Beacon reports that Rep. Stephen Lynch (D, Ma) announced that a recent congressional investigation found that at least 72 people working at DHS also "were on the terrorist watch list." Why are there potential terrorists working at DHS?
These are questions that must be asked. From listening to the "president's" address, one could conclude that this "president" is in collusion with Islamic forces that wish to conquer the US and he is just trying to keep Americans calm long enough for full blown war to occur on our soil. 2 Timothy 3:1 says that "in the last days perilous times will come" and in verse 13, "...evil men and seducers shall wax wore and worse, deceiving and being deceived." These are indeed perilous times.

WHY THE "CHURCH" MUST STAND NOW!
Tuesday, February 14, 2017
The latest report on the unconstitutional shadow government is an article in Foreign Policy magazine by Rosa Brooks, former Pentagon advisor in the previous administration, now working for the George Soros-funded New America Foundation. Brooks suggests a military coup to oust President Donald Trump. Brooks wrote, "One possibility is one that until recently I would have said was unthinkable in the United States of America: a military coup, or at least a refusal by military leaders to obey certain orders." This, combined with an army of usurpers 30,000 strong in the ex-"president's" Marxist Organizing for America group, and a court system stacked with progressives, is a dangerous marker for America.
Why is this an important prophetic time for the "Church"? Christians, through their lack of participation as responsible citizens by not voting, were the one block that allowed two terms of the most communistic and Islamic "president" America has ever seen. During his tenure, religious rights and free speech were repeatedly attacked. It is fully documented that Christian churches, businesses and organizations were singled out and demonized for their beliefs. National security documents attacked religious freedom by suggesting that those who believe abortion and homosexuality is wrong were extreme radical threats to our country. While all along Islamists were killing people in the US in the name of allah.
The "Church" apparently had enough of this foolishness in 2016 and rose up, voting as a block and defeating the Islamic Marxist globalist candidate. This action alone fomented a nationwide temper tantrum by the malcontents. They have labeled Christian conservatives as Nazis, bigots, racists, homophobes, xenophobes and whatever else, while they themselves are acting out the very traits of their accusations. Meanwhile, it appears the "Church" has once again disappeared. The "Church," you and me, must resist every temptation to withdraw from society, thinking that a strong, conservative-minded President will do our bidding. He alone cannot. There is organized, lawless and Godless opposition.
Our country, the foremost beacon of religious freedom in the world, is faced with a revolution aimed at taking away our Constitutional freedoms. First will be freedom of religion and of speech. Next will be the right to bear arms. This is the pattern in every country that allows Marxism and/or Islamism. It moves from anarchy to despotism in short order, muzzling people, replacing God with government, and disarmament. Take heed "Church." You must stand NOW, not stand down. We must pray. We must be vocal. We must tell the story of righteousness and Godly sense. We must act courageously. Or we are going to face a dark and violent future. As Romans 13:12 says, "The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light." Answer this prophetic and clarion call.
Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!
