War!
We must face facts squarely: the Iranian regime is at war with the United States. Stating the obvious doesn't make it any more or less so, but recognizing and dealing with reality is the only way to defend American national security and the only way to achieve a victory for democratic civilization in Iraq.Clare Lopez is the former Executive Director of the Iran Policy Committee who served 20 years as a CIA operations officer. Currently she is a private consultant who speaks and publishes widely on Middle East and WMD issues. Read the whole thing

From: "Louis McCasland Jr."Then there is Wikipedia's account of her "Alleged anti-Semitic comments:
I know I often say that you can't believe what you read....but...with so many people saying the same thing about one person, some of it must be true.....I believe all of it because I like her so much.....sns
Several people have accused Clinton of making anti-Semitic comments in private. In the 2000 book State of a Union: Inside the Complex Marriage of Bill and Hillary Clinton by former National Enquirer reporter Jerry Oppenheimer, lawyer Paul Fray, who ran Bill Clinton's failed 1974 run for Congress, claimed that after that defeat, Hillary Rodham, then Clinton's girlfriend, raged that he (Fray) was a “Fucking Jew Bastard.” [4] Fray’s wife and businessman Neil McDonald both claim to have witnessed this slur. [5] Hillary Clinton denied that she ever made such a remark and released a 1997 letter in which Fray apologized regarding statements he had made about her over the years. [6] In addition Fray had previously been disbarred for altering court documents and also suffered from a medical condition that caused erratic behavior and memory loss. [7] Moreover, Fray was only one-eighth Jewish, not one-half as the Oppenheimer book detailing the accusation had claimed. [8] However, Fray was reported to have passed a polygraph test regarding the allegation. According to the polygraph examiner, "There's no doubt in my mind that Mr. Fray is truthful." [9] Larry Patterson, a former Arkansas state trooper and bodyguard to Bill and Hillary Clinton who related a series of lurid accusations about the couple, then said he heard the couple use anti-Semitic slurs “10 to 20” times. He asserts that he has heard Hillary use the term "Jew Bastard" and called President Clinton a "Jew Boy" and a "Mother Fucking Jew." [10]It's lookin' like Bill would be a much gentler First Lady...er...Man, than Hill was!
In a discussion of the Fray allegation, Dick Morris, a former political advisor to President Clinton, asserted that a couple of years previously, Hillary Clinton may have used a Jewish stereotype during an argument about consulting fees, stating “Money – that's all you people care about is money.” Morris conceded that it was unclear whether "you people" referred to Jews or to political consultants.[11]
POLL: AMERICANS 'WANT TO WIN IN IRAQ' !!!
Tue Feb 20 2007 16:21:32 ET
In the wake of the U.S. House of Representatives passing a resolution that amounts to a vote of no confidence in the Bush administration's policies in Iraq, a new national survey by Alexandria, VA-based Public Opinion Strategies (POS) shows the American people may have some different ideas from their elected leaders on this issue.
The survey was conducted nationwide February 5-7 among a bi-partisan, cross-section of 800 registered voters. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percent. The survey was commissioned by The Moriah Group, a Chattanooga-based strategic communications and public affairs firm.
By identical 57 percent - 41 percent margins, voters agreed with these statements: I support finishing the job in Iraq, that is, keeping the troops there until the Iraqi government can maintain control and provide security and the Iraqi war is a key part of the global war on terrorism.
Also, by a 56 percent - 43 percent margin, voters agreed that even if they have concerns about his war policies, Americans should stand behind the President in Iraq because we are at war.
While the survey shows voters believe (60 percent- 34 percent) that Iraq will never become a stable democracy, they still disagree that victory in Iraq (creating a young, but stable democracy and reducing the threat of terrorism at home) is no longer possible. Fifty-three percent say it's still possible, while 43 percent disagree.
By a wide 74 percent - 25 percent margin, voters disagree with the notion that "I don't really care what happens in Iraq after the U.S. leaves, I just want the troops brought home."
When asked which statement best describes their position on the Iraq War, voters are evenly divided (50 percent - 49 percent) between positions of "doing whatever it takes to restore order until the Iraqis can govern and provide security to their country," and positions that call for immediate withdrawal or a strict timetable.
27 percent said "the Iraq war is the front line in the battle against terrorism and our troops should stay there and do whatever it takes to restore order until the Iraqis can govern and provide security to their country."
23 percent said "while I don't agree that the U.S. should be in the war, our troops should stay there and do whatever it takes to restore order until the Iraqis can govern and provide security to their country."
32 percent said "whether Iraq is stable or not, the U.S. should set and hold to a strict timetable for withdrawing troops."
17 percent said "the U.S. should immediately withdraw its troops from Iraq."
The survey also found that voters thought it would hurt American prestige more to pull out of Iraq immediately (59 percent) than it would to stay there for the long term (35 percent.
Public Opinion Strategies "scored the best win-loss record among the major polling and media firms in the 2004 election" and was named Pollster of the Year in 2002.

The idea of pulling back from Iraq is not where the majority of Americans are.By a 53 percent - 46 percent margin, respondents surveyed said that Democrats are going too far, too fast in pressing the President to withdraw troops from Iraq.

The biggest threat to world peace...according to THIS Presidental candidate:
The aggressively photogenic John Edwards was cruising along, detailing his litany of liberal causes last week until, during question time, he invoked the "I" word -- Israel. Perhaps the greatest short-term threat to world peace, Edwards remarked, was the possibility that Israel would bomb Iran's nuclear facilities. As a chill descended on the gathering, the Edwards event was brought to a polite close.Really? Israel is the biggest threat? Not Ahmedinijad? Not al-Qaeda? Not a coup attempt in Pakistan? Not a complete breakdown in Iraq drawing in the Saudis, Turks, and Iranians?

Social Security Reform: a Means to an End
Dick McDonald
www.dickmcdonald.blogspot.com
I have tied the Reform of Social Security around my neck but its reform along with that of Medicare is only a tool I have used to create a greater, fairer, wealthier and socially peaceful America.
The importance of adding my Rise-Up Economic Theory to the Trickle Down Theory can be understood best by the goals it is programmed to accomplish.
Here I am interested in restoring to the people their "private property"; the 15% that is taken from them as payroll taxes. In effect, I am starting a 21st Century Boston Tea Party.
The return the government pays Americans for their lifetime investment of 15% is so small it is an embarrassment; it just enough to keep a person from starvation and homelessness (when their government housing allowances are added). If you die before retirement, your entire investment is lost. Even if you live it is questionable that you will even recover the investment that you made. The program is an embarrassment for the richest and most powerful country on the planet.
By investing the 15% weekly in the American economy for your entire working life in a personal account you can't invade until retirement even a minimum wage earner generates a nest egg of over $1,200,000 and a monthly retirement check of $10,000. A $60,000 a year truck driver accumulates a $4.8 Million nest egg and a monthly check of $40,000.
All the goals I listed above can be achieved by the creation of personal accounts. Forget that they were "payroll taxes" they would now be your personal property if we repeal Social Security and Medicare and put that 15% in your personal account.
Neither party has an issue that can compare with enacting personal accounts and the adoption of the rise-up theory. It is a bread and butter issue of immense import and economic benefit. By itself, making the poor rich pales every other political concern into insignificance and the 2008 election is the time to promote it; income equality being such a defining issue.

- Make the American economy work more efficiently
- Inject enormous sums into the capital market
- Deliver the "American Dream" to all Americans
- Make the poor and those without the tools rich
- Give all Americans a "pool of capital" to invest
- Eliminate government dependency programs
- Eliminate enormous unfunded liabilities
- Provide an affluent retirement for everyone
- Reduce government spending by $1.2 Trillion a year
- Deliver a $1.2 Trillion tax cuts every year
- Reduce crime and financial insecurity
- Reduce class warfare and its dissonance
- End Poverty as we know it
- Extol the virtues of capitalism over those of socialism
- Make American 31 times wealthier in just 40 years
- Demonstrate capitalism's populist capabilities
- Make American products more competitive
- Reduce labor-management strife
- Eliminate Private Sector retirement funding
- Eliminate Public Sector retirement funding
I have written a book entitled "Make the Poor Rich" which details the benefits, schedules the account growth, outlines how to easily transition from the old to the New Social Security Institute's plan (including never cutting the benefits of the present participants in the old program). It meticulously addresses how all the above goals can be achieved and the opponents of such change can be convinced to adopt it.If you closely view this plan it incorporates many of the hopes our Founders had for America including lower taxes and limited government. If you are a patriot that thinks these virtues are important put you money into our effort to influence the country to return 15% of our money to us. Can you think of a better issue to support?
In addition I have formed a Section 527 political organization, The New Social Security Institute to advance the adoption of this "Rise-Up" plan by Congress. It has been formed to assist the campaigns of those endorsing the plan and to inform the public about what they are missing.
If you want to help us send your contribution to:

Those of you contributing more than $100 will get a pre-publishing manuscript of the book "Make the Poor Rich". It is the blueprint that details the plan and will answer all your questions. The manuscript will be a collector's item.
We are planning a public relations campaign using all the modern tools of communication. We need your funding to help us finance that effort. Please act now.

What's changed in America in the last 60 years?
WHILE Congress, the president and the media play politics with questions of victory in Iraq, as a combat veteran and student of history, I think we should consider a far more fundamental question: Can America ever win another war?So what's changed?
What might seem silly on its face is magnified to full significance in the looking glass of history. Should we retreat from the battlefield in Iraq - which is what anything short of legitimate victory would be - America will have established a 60-year record of failing to prevail against strategically significant enemies.
Certainly not soldiers' character. The military's dissatisfaction with the war reflects not desire to retreat, but rather frustration with the "rules of engagement" and politically dictated resourcing that restrict them from taking the fight to the enemy.Robert C. J. Parry is a National Guard veteran of Iraq. Read more.
What has changed is America's stomach for the fight. This is reflected in months of resistance to the obvious need for a greater tactical commitment. It is displayed in congressional games that ultimately focus on surrender for domestic political advantage, regardless of the cost.
But, most significantly, it is shown in voters who cannot compare Baghdad 2007 with Bastogne 1944 (unless they watched "Band of Brothers"), and who would rather flip over to "American Idol," anyway. It is citizens who find three deaths per day repulsive, while ignorant that their freedom was won in battles with casualty reports rounded to the nearest thousand.
For much as we seem to already have forgotten the shock and pain of 9-11, we have equally forgotten that there once was no America, and that its birth came at a price.

5,000 year-old Valentine
Locked in an eternal embrace2/8/07: Yesterday at Mantua where the exiled Romeo dreamed he died and Juliet's kisses breathed life back into his body, in an amazing echo of that heartrending story, archaeologists revealed the discovery of a couple locked in a tender embrace, one that has endured for more than 5,000 years.
Where the American Left REALLY came from
Multiculturalism and political correctness, though championed by many people as sincere efforts to improve society, had their origins in a breakaway Marxist movement that intended to defeat capitalism not by challenging its economic principles but by undermining the traditional culture that supported it. These theories were centered on the Frankfurt School, a group of intellectuals that moved from Germany to America in the 1930s. Among its more famous members were Herbert Marcuse, Theodor Adorno, and Walter Benjamin. Their influence would be felt in the radical New Left of the 1960s and would eventually filter down into popular culture. As their ideas spread, even old-style liberals were not safe from politically correct multiculturalism. If you think our country has been moving in the wrong direction you are right and this is why!

President of Czech Republic Calls Man-Made Global Warming a 'Myth' - Questions Gore's Sanity
Mon Feb 12 2007 09:10:09 ET
Czech president Vaclav Klaus has criticized the UN panel on global warming, claiming that it was a political authority without any scientific basis.
In an interview with "Hospodárské noviny", a Czech economics daily, Klaus answered a few questions:
Q: IPCC has released its report and you say that the global warming is a false myth. How did you get this idea, Mr President?•
A: It's not my idea. Global warming is a false myth and every serious person and scientist says so. It is not fair to refer to the U.N. panel. IPCC is not a scientific institution: it's a political body, a sort of non-government organization of green flavor. It's neither a forum of neutral scientists nor a balanced group of scientists. These people are politicized scientists who arrive there with a one-sided opinion and a one-sided assignment. Also, it's an undignified slapstick that people don't wait for the full report in May 2007 but instead respond, in such a serious way, to the summary for policymakers where all the "but's" are scratched, removed, and replaced by oversimplified theses.• This is clearly such an incredible failure of so many people, from journalists to politicians. If the European Commission is instantly going to buy such a trick, we have another very good reason to think that the countries themselves, not the Commission, should be deciding about similar issues.•
Q: How do you explain that there is no other comparably senior statesman in Europe who would advocate this viewpoint? No one else has such strong opinions...•
A: My opinions about this issue simply are strong. Other top-level politicians do not express their global warming doubts because a whip of political correctness strangles their voice.
• Q: But you're not a climate scientist. Do you have a sufficient knowledge and enough information?•
A: Environmentalism as a metaphysical ideology and as a worldview has absolutely nothing to do with natural sciences or with the climate. Sadly, it has nothing to do with social sciences either. Still, it is becoming fashionable and this fact scares me. The second part of the sentence should be: we also have lots of reports, studies, and books of climatologists whose conclusions are diametrally opposite.• Indeed, I never measure the thickness of ice in Antarctica. I really don't know how to do it and don't plan to learn it. However, as a scientifically oriented person, I know how to read science reports about these questions, for example about ice in Antarctica. I don't have to be a climate scientist myself to read them. And inside the papers I have read, the conclusions we may see in the media simply don't appear. But let me promise you something: this topic troubles me which is why I started to write an article about it last Christmas. The article expanded and became a book. In a couple of months, it will be published. One chapter out of seven will organize my opinions about the climate change.• Environmentalism and green ideology is something very different from climate science. Various findings and screams of scientists are abused by this ideology.•
Q: How do you explain that conservative media are skeptical while the left-wing media view the global warming as a done deal?•
A: It is not quite exactly divided to the left-wingers and right-wingers. Nevertheless it's obvious that environmentalism is a new incarnation of modern leftism.•
Q: If you look at all these things, even if you were right ...•
A: ...I am right...•
Q: Isn't there enough empirical evidence and facts we can see with our eyes that imply that Man is demolishing the planet and himself?•
A: It's such a nonsense that I have probably not heard a bigger nonsense yet.•
Q: Don't you believe that we're ruining our planet?•
A: I will pretend that I haven't heard you. Perhaps only Mr Al Gore may be saying something along these lines: a sane person can't. I don't see any ruining of the planet, I have never seen it, and I don't think that a reasonable and serious person could say such a thing. Look: you represent the economic media so I expect a certain economical erudition from you. My book will answer these questions. For example, we know that there exists a huge correlation between the care we give to the environment on one side and the wealth and technological prowess on the other side. It's clear that the poorer the society is, the more brutally it behaves with respect to Nature, and vice versa.• It's also true that there exist social systems that are damaging Nature - by eliminating private ownership and similar things - much more than the freer societies. These tendencies become important in the long run. They unambiguously imply that today, on February 8th, 2007, Nature is protected uncomparably more than on February 8th ten years ago or fifty years ago or one hundred years ago.• That's why I ask: how can you pronounce the sentence you said? Perhaps if you're unconscious? Or did you mean it as a provocation only? And maybe I am just too naive and I allowed you to provoke me to give you all these answers, am I not? It is more likely that you actually believe what you say.

Global Warming is not due to human contribution of Carbon Dioxide
Global Warming, as we think we know it, doesn't exist. And I am not the only one trying to make people open up their eyes and see the truth. But few listen, despite the fact that I was the first Canadian Ph.D. in Climatology and I have an extensive background in climatology, especially the reconstruction of past climates and the impact of climate change on human history and the human condition. Few listen, even though I have a Ph.D, (Doctor of Science) from the University of London, England and was a climatology professor at the University of Winnipeg. For some reason (actually for many), the World is not listening. HERE IS WHY
How you can help stop email fraud, viruses, and junk mail now!
This important information comes from a System Administrator of a large corporation. It is an excellent message that ABSOLUTELY applies to ALL of us who send e-mails. Please read the short letter below, even if you're sure you already follow proper procedures!Do you really know how to forward e-mails? Fifty percent of us DO and fifty percent of us DO NOT.
Do you wonder why you get viruses or junk mail? Do you hate it?
Every time you forward an e-mail there is information left over from the people who got the message before you, namely their e-mail addresses and names. As the messages get forwarded along, the list of addresses builds, and builds, and builds, and all it takes is for some poor sap to get a virus, and his or her computer can send that virus to every E-mail address that has come across his computer. Or, someone can take all of those addresses and sell them or send junk mail to them in the hopes that you will go to the site and he will make five cents for each hit. That's right, all of that inconvenience over a nickel!
How do you stop it? Well, there are several easy steps. Try the following if you haven't done it before:
(1) When you forward an e-mail, DELETE all of the other addresses that appear in the body of the message (at the top). That's right, DELETE them! Highlight them and delete them, backspace them, cut them, whatever it is you know how to do. It only takes a second. You MUST click the "Forward" button first and then you will have full editing capabilities against the body and headers of the message. If you don't click on "Forward" first, you won't be able to edit the message at all.
(2) Whenever you send an e-mail to more than one person, do NOT use the To: or Cc: fields for adding e-mail addresses. Always use the BCC: (Blind Carbon Copy) field for listing the e-mail addresses. This is the way the people you send to will only see their own e-mail address. If you don't see your BCC: option click on where it says To: and your address list will appear. Highlight the address and choose BCC: and that's it, it's that easy. When you send to BCC: your message will automatically say "Undisclosed Recipients in the "TO:" field of the people who receive it.
NOTE: The alternative to this is to use a NAME ONLY system, wherein others see the people's names but not their email addresses. (Not all email programs have it, but Apple MAIL does.). If you want the list to be anonymous, however, then the best way is by using the BCC.
(3) Remove any "FW:" in the subject line. You can re-name the subject if you wish or even fix the spelling.
(4) ALWAYS hit your Forward button from the actual e-mail you are reading. Ever get those e-mails that you have to open 10 pages to read the one page with the information on it? By Forwarding from the actual page you wish someone to view, you stop them from having to open many e-mails just to see what you sent!
(5) Have you ever gotten an email that is a petition? It states a position and asks you to add your name and address and to forward it to 10 or 15 people or your entire address book. The email can be forwarded on and on and can collect thousands of names and email addresses.
A FACT: The completed petition is actually worth a couple of bucks to a professional spammer because of the wealth of valid names and email addresses contained therein. DO NOT put your email address on any petition. If you want to support the petition, send it as your own personal letter to the intended recipient. Your position may carry more weight as a personal letter than a laundry list of names and email address on a petition. Valid petitions can be signed on a form on the website of the organization creating the petition where the names go into a database, duplicates are deleted, and names cannot be accessed by the public. (Don't believe the emails that say that the email is being traced, it just ain't so!)
Some of the other emails you may want to think twice about passing along are:
1. The one that says something like, "Send this email to 10 people and you'll see something great run across your screen." Or sometimes they'll just tease you by saying 'something really cute will happen.' IT AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN--we're still seeing some of the same emails that we waited on 10 years ago!
2. Don't let the bad luck ones scare you either--you can trash 'em.
3. Before you forward an 'Amber Alert', or a 'Virus Alert', or some of the other emails floating around nowadays, check them out before you forward them. Most of them are junk mail that's been circling the net for YEARS!
Just about everything you receive in an email that is in question can be checked out at Snopes. Just go to www.snopes.com
So please, in the future, let's stop the junk mail and the viruses.
Finally, here's an idea: You can email this blog post to your friends! (Just click on the email icon below). This is something that SHOULD be forwarded, so do it.

Global Warming: Much more than meets the eye
"Like many others, I was personally sure that CO2 is the bad culprit in the story of global warming. But after carefully digging into the evidence, I realized that things are far more complicated than the story sold to us by many climate scientists or the stories regurgitated by the media.Read more (unless you support Al Gore for President in '08 :)
"In fact, there is much more than meets the eye."
Dr. Shariv's digging led him to the surprising discovery that there is no concrete evidence -- only speculation -- that man-made greenhouse gases cause global warming. Even research from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change-- the United Nations agency that heads the worldwide effort to combat global warming -- is bereft of anything here inspiring confidence. In fact, according to the IPCC's own findings, man's role is so uncertain that there is a strong possibility that we have been cooling, not warming, the Earth.

UFO video; UFO photos
...whatever was in the southwest sky Friday evening around 6:20 p.m. drew a crowd along Kewalo Basin and Ala Moana Beach Park.UFO’s seen over South Shore sky
Video of one of the lights was recorded from the KHON 2 SkyCam.
The National Weather Service says nothing showed up on their radar at the time of the sighting and the Federal Aviation Administration didn't report anything unusual.
“This in a sense is an unidentified flying object,” said University of Hawaii astronomy professor Gareth Wynn-Williams. “It's something in the sky that's moving that we haven't identified.”
In December of 2004 an unexplained streak of light was captured by a camera on Haleakala moving southwest to northeast. No official explanation has been given for that UFO either.

It's a joke
DAVENPORT, Iowa - Hillary Rodham Clinton said Sunday that President Bush should withdraw all U.S. troops from Iraq before he leaves office, asserting it would be "the height of irresponsibility" to pass the war along to the next commander in chief.[Read: I want to be the next President, but I don't want to deal with Iraq.]
One questioner asked Clinton if her track record showed she could stand up to "evil men" around the world.
"The question is, we face a lot of dangers in the world and, in the gentleman's words, we face a lot of evil men and what in my background equips me to deal with evil and bad men," Clinton said. She paused to gaze while the audience interrupted with about 30 seconds of laughter and applause.
Meeting later with reporters, she was pressed repeatedly to explain what she meant. She insisted it was a simple joke.
This could be our next President?

Democrats plan to end free speech (ACTION ALERT)
This is a SPECIAL MESSAGE from Stephen Frank's "California Political News and Views" and RightMarch.com:
ALERT: The liberal assault on conservative talk radio has begun -- Rush Limbaugh has figured out that there are more liberals than ever calling his show and other conservatives' shows, in order to "lay the groundwork" for demands to bring back the "Fairness Doctrine," better known as the "Hush Rush" Plan. Here's how Rush sees it:
Just think of this new attack as the "Hush Rush Plan."
Last weekend, more than 2,000 liberal activists gathered in Memphis for the George Soros-subsidized "National Conference for Media Reform," and even more participated "virtually" online. They listened intently to all of the usual suspects: Jesse Jackson, Jane Fonda, Bill Moyers, Helen Thomas, Danny Glover, David Brock, Democratic FCC commissioners Michael Copps and Jonathan Adelstein, and more.
Some of the groups represented included MoveOn.org, the Revolutionary Communist Party, Mother Jones magazine, the far-left Pacifica Radio, and others on the fringe left.
But the biggest rounds of applause -- and the strongest support received -- came when Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Rep. Maurice Hinchey (D-NY), and Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) announced their plans to bring back one of the most onerous anti-free speech rules ever seen in America: the horribly misnamed "Fairness Doctrine."
The "Fairness Doctrine," a federal regulation requiring broadcasters to present both sides of any "controversial" issue, was enforced by the Federal Communications Commission from 1949 to 1987. The FCC adopted it as a regulation, but it was never a law enacted by Congress.
When the rule was in place, radio and TV stations could face hefty fines if their stations aired controversial statements on public affairs without providing equal time to opposing viewpoints. The result was self-censorship by broadcasters who avoided politics to escape any potential government retaliation.
When this rule was dropped in 1987, it led directly to the rise of conservative talk radio that enabled average citizens to have their voices heard across America. If it weren't for the Reagan administration dropping the "Fairness Doctrine," we would never have heard of Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Glen Beck, Michael Savage, Janet Parshall, Neal Boortz, Janet Folger, or the hundreds of other conservative talk radio hosts that dot the land and expose the lies and misdeeds of the Left.
And that is why the Left wants to bring back the "Fairness Doctrine" -- this time, as a law.
Rep. Hinchey, the new chairman of a subcommittee with jurisdiction over the FCC, has introduced a bill titled the "Media Ownership Reform Act," which would reinstate the Fairness Doctrine and authorize bureaucrats at the FCC to monitor and alter the content of radio and television programs. With passage of his bill, Hinchey said that "progressives" would be able to demand and get "equal access" to programs hosted by conservatives and rebut the "baloney" of people like Limbaugh. "All of that stuff will end," Hinchey said about the influence of conservative media.
Sen. Sanders, the only open socialist in Congress, then stepped up to the microphone and proclaimed that he would be introducing a Senate version of the Hinchey bill.
And to top it off, Rep. Kucinich, chairman of the House subcommittee on domestic policy, announced he would hold hearings on the media, which would include looking at restoring the Fairness Doctrine.
"We know the media has become the servant of a very narrow corporate agenda... We are now in a position to move a progressive [liberal] agenda to where it is visible," he said.
Did you read that? They're ready to move THEIR agenda forward, by pushing conservatives off the map -- by KILLING conservative talk radio!
WE MUST STOP THEM! We have to make sure there are enough Democrats to side with a strong Republican minority against this legislation -- but the only way we can do that is by overwhelming our Congressmen and Senators with messages DEMANDING they vote FOR free speech, and AGAINST any attempt to bring back the anti-free speech Fairness Doctrine.
And we've got a GREAT way to do that!
TAKE ACTION: Now that Hillary Clinton has declared that she's running for president, we can expect that Democrats will move FAST and STRONG to bring back the "Fairness Doctrine" -- as FrontPage Magazine notes:
Any effort now to codify the old doctrine into law would reverse 20 years of free speech rights enjoyed by patriotic conservative Americans. But that's exactly what the Left wants to do -- unless WE are able to stop them.
To make YOUR voice heard LOUD AND CLEAR, we've set up our website so that you can send "blast faxes" to EVERY SINGLE REPRESENTATIVE AND SENATOR in Washington, D.C.! These Congressmen need to hear from us NOW, before they're able to sneak their legislation past an unsuspecting American public!
Send YOUR blast faxes to ALL 535 of these Congressman NOW, demanding that they support free speech and say NO to the "Fairness Doctrine":

NOTE: As always, you can also send a FREE message to your current Congressman and Senators, demanding they OPPOSE any "Hush Rush" attempt to kill our free speech rights -- just go to http://capwiz.com/sicminc/issues/alert/?alertid=9264151&type=CO now. Be sure to send this Alert to EVERYONE you know who wants to help STOP Congress from shutting down conservative talk radio! Thank you!
"I think the liberals are calling this show and a number of other conservative shows for the express purpose of either being interrupted, not being allowed to speak. They'll come out with these outrageous, weird, insulting things that give a host no choice. You gotta move on, or you have to deal with these people in a substantive way. But regardless, they will then -- they're taking notes and all this, maybe even recording it -- and they will either send the recordings or a report in a complaint to their congressman. "Well, I don't know. I tried to call the Rush Limbaugh Show and I got hung up on. I was disconnected. I was yelled at and screamed at after only 30 seconds, I couldn't explain what I wanted to say!" I think there's an ongoing campaign out there on the part of the left to try to build this notion that they can document, to send off to the FCC and other places, that they just don't get a fair shake on conservative talk radio." -- Rush Limbaugh Show, 1/24/07So what is he talking about? The same thing we've already warned you about: activists on the far left are positively giddy over the Democrats' takeover of Congress, and they're ready to do "whatever it takes" to set their gains in stone by passing new laws to KILL CONSERVATIVE TALK RADIO.
"Hillary does not want to risk too much probing by the media into her past misdeeds or her current untruths and inconsistencies. Indeed, she recognized early in her husband's administration the power of conservative talk radio, which helped defeat her disastrous health care plan. In response, she reportedly pushed at that time to re-establish the so-called 'Fairness Doctrine' in broadcasting. And she saw what happened to Senator Kerry's 2004 Presidential campaign when it got derailed by media focus on the Swift Boat veterans' charges. Kerry himself blamed the abolition of the Fairness Doctrine for his own defeat, declaring '[T]here has been a profound and negative change in the relationship of America's media with America's people. This all began, incidentally, when the Fairness Doctrine ended. You would have had a dramatic change in the discussion in this country had we still had a Fairness Doctrine in the course of the last campaign.'"Hillary and Kerry are right -- if the Left is successful in bringing back this dangerous doctrine as a law, there will be dramatic changes... conservative talk radio shows, like Rush Limbaugh's, would be gone. And that's what they want: a law to "Hush Rush!"

Show me your "O" face
Probable U. S. presidential candidate, Barack Hussein Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., a black Muslim from Nyangoma-Kogel, Kenya and Ann Dunham, a white atheist from Wichita, Kansas. Obama's parents met at the University of Hawaii.
When Obama was two years old, his parents divorced. His father returned to Kenya. His mother then married Lolo Soetoro, a radical Muslim from Indonesia. When Obama was 6 years old, the family relocated to Indonesia. Obama attended a Muslim school in Jakarta. He also spent two years in a Catholic school.
Obama takes great care to conceal the fact that he is a Muslim. He is quick to point out that, "He was once a Muslim, but that he also attended Catholic school."
Obama's political handlers are attempting to make it appear that Obama's introduction to Islam came via his father, and that this influence was temporary at best. In reality, the senior Obama returned to Kenya soon after the divorce, and never again had any direct influence over his son's education. Lolo Soetoro, the second husband of Obama's mother, Ann Dunham, introduced his stepson to Islam. Osama was enrolled in a Wahabi school in Jakarta. Wahabism is the radical teaching that is followed by the Muslim terrorists who are now waging Jihad against the western world.
Since it is politically expedient to be a Christian when seeking major public office in the United States, Barack Hussein Obama has joined the United Church of Christ in an attempt to downplay his Muslim background.
Let us all remain alert concerning Obama's expected presidential candidacy.

The Enemy At Home: The Cultural Left and Its Responsibility for 9/11
Whenever Muslims charge that the war on terror is really a war against Islam, Americans hasten to assure them they are wrong. Yet as Dinesh D’Souza argues in this powerful and timely polemic, these Muslim critics of America are right--there really is a war against Islam. Only this war is not being waged by Christian conservatives bent on a moral crusade to impose democracy abroad, as many liberals maintain, but by the American cultural left, which has for years been vigorously exporting its domestic war against religion and traditional morality to the rest of the world.
By the “cultural left” D’Souza does not mean all liberals or even all Democrats, but the militant secularists, feminists and gay activists who make up the left wing of the Democratic party, along with their allies in Hollywood, the academy, the antiwar movement, and the human rights establishment. D’Souza contends that the cultural left is responsible for 9/11 in two ways: by fostering a decadent and depraved American culture that angers and repulses other societies--especially traditional and religious ones; and by promoting, at home and abroad, an anti-American attitude that blames America for all the problems of the world.
Why did 9/11 occur? D’Souza traces the roots to the Khomeini revolution, the first regime to target America as the Great Satan. He documents the role of the Carter administration and its left-wing allies in displacing the Shah and consolidating Khomeini’s rule. D’Souza also shows that after the Cold War the radical Muslims were fighting to overthrow their local governments, what they termed the “near enemy.” But then Bin Laden and others got the idea that perhaps the United States—the “far enemy”—was even more vulnerable than the near enemy. Starting in the mid-1990s, Islamic radicals tested their theory of American weakness by launching a series of strikes against American targets, such as the Khobar Tower facility in Saudi Arabia, the two U.S. embassies in Africa, and the U.S.S. Cole. During this period the Clinton administration was focused on its own political and
D’Souza shows that Islamic anti-Americanism is not merely a reaction to U.S. foreign policy but is also rooted in a revulsion against what Muslims perceive to be the atheism and moral depravity of American popular culture. “They don’t hate us for our freedom,” D’Souza writes, “They hate us for how we use our freedom.” Muslims and other traditional people around the world allege that American values are being imposed on their societies, and these values undermine religious belief, weaken the traditional family, and corrupt the innocence of children. Muslim fears are largely justified, but it is not “America” that is doing this to them, it is the cultural left. What traditional societies consider repulsive and immoral, the cultural left considers progressive and liberating.
Taking issue with those on the right who speak of a “clash of civilizations,” D’Souza argues that the war on terror is really a war for the hearts and minds of traditional Muslims—and traditional peoples everywhere. The only way to win the struggle with radical Islam is to convince traditional Muslims that America is on their side. To prove this the U.S. must allow Muslim countries to defend Muslim interests and live according to their own moral precepts. Moreover, America’s leaders must contest the notion that liberal depravity equals American depravity. If America were to proclaim itself a Judeo-Christian society and stand up for the principles of traditional morality worldwide, this would greatly weaken the threat posed by radical Islam.
We are accustomed to thinking of the war on terror and the culture war as two distinct and separate struggles. D’Souza shows that they are really one and the same. Conservatives must recognize that the left is now allied with the Islamic radicals in a combined effort to defeat Bush’s war on terror. So Bush and the right are fighting not only a war against radical Islam, but also a political “war against the war” in America. A whole new strategy is needed to fight both wars. “In order to defeat the Islamic radicals abroad,” D’Souza writes, “we must defeat the enemy at home.”

UFO Sighting in IranSee also my post below: "Not of this world"
The Iranian Fars News Agency (FNA) has reported that "a radiant Unidentified Flying Object was again observed in the sky of Central Sepidar in the vicinity of Bouyer Ahmad in western Iran", from 7:10 to 8:30 PM local time (15:40 to 17:00 GMT) Wednesday.
FNA reported that witnesses observed the object for more than an hour and a similar incident occured last Monday, when a UFO was seen in the same area and at the same time. The UFO was described as a big ball, with a yellow ray, and a bright reddish color in the center, flying at a very low altitude.
Officials declined to comment on the event.
There is also a report about a UFO crash in the Barrez Mountains in the central province of Kerman, and according to Deputy Governor General of Kerman province it could not have been a plane or helicopter.
Similar crash incidents have been witnessed frequently during the last year all across Iran, and officials believe that the objects could be spy planes or a hi-tech espionage device.

Healthcare in Cuba?
Perhaps the most important lesson that can come from studying public health in Cuba is the level of creativity, innovation and success that can be brought to bear to the benefit of a population's health through a simple but fundamental decision to make healthcare one of the highest priorities of a society and an economy. -- Cuba Solidarity: Project Infomed
Medical professionals are not paid high salaries by national or international standards. In 2002 the mean monthly salary was 261 pesos, thus 1.5 times the national mean. A doctor’s salary is equivalent to about US$15-20 per month according to the official rate of exchange between peso and dollar. Therefore, many prefer to work in different occupations, generally in the lucrative tourist industry, where earnings can be 50 to 60 times more.

ANTI-BORDER keeps honest, skilled people out, lets criminals in

You must choose a side NOW:
What’s Worse Than Open Borders? Many skilled computer programmers from India are kept out while they await their visas. Educated Chinese scientists cannot find cash-only jobs in our aerospace industry. And the honest of all nations are kept outside our country by their very honesty...

- For those without degrees, the border is open
- For the violent, the dishonest, the unskilled, the destitute, the illiterate … the border is open

More San Francisco values
How's this for an only-in-San Francisco story:
Members of the Baker's Dozen, the renowned, all-male a cappella singing group from Yale, are pummeled outside a New Year's Eve party after singing "The Star-Spangled Banner."
The attackers allegedly include graduates from Sacred Heart Cathedral, one of the city's oldest and best-known private schools.
The attack happens outside the home of two prominent San Francisco police officers -- former mayoral bodyguard Reno Rapagnani, now retired, and his wife, Leanna Dawydiak -- who were both accused and later cleared of leaking internal SFPD personnel documents during the Fajitagate debacle.

Sandy Berger's Free Ride from the Media
Washington Post and New York Times reporters crucified former Pentagon analyst Larry Franklin but practically ignored Bill Clinton's former Nationa security Advisor Sandy Berger:
With the release of an internal investigation last week, we now know that former National Security Advisor Sandy Berger not only knowingly flouted laws for handling classified documents, but he also went to incredible lengths to cover his tracks and thwart investigators.Disguting as it is, you may want to read more.
While Berger's "punishment" was a pittance of a fine, former Pentagon analyst Larry Franklin has been financially ruined and sentenced to 12 and a half years for passing along far less-classified information to unauthorized third parties.
"Mr. Berger left stolen highly classified documents at a construction site to avoid detection."
Press ReleaseWashington, D.C. – Oversight and Government Reform Committee Ranking Member Tom Davis (R-VA) released the following statement today on a committee report that sheds important new light on Sandy Berger’s theft of classified documents from the National Archives.

Sandy Berger served as the 19th United States National Security Advisor under President Bill Clinton from 1997 to 2001.
Martha Stewart went to jail for lying to federal investigators. But for lying after stealing highly classified documents from the National Archives -- in an apparent attempt to alter the historical record on terrorism, no less -- former Clinton national security adviser and Kerry campaign adviser Sandy Berger will get a small fine and slap on the wrist.

With apologies to the Cindy's, Barbs, and Rosies of America, if you read the above article, you will no longer be able to think that all our problems are because we are bad or aren't nice enough to the people who saw our heads off.
Read and wake up.
The Muslim world is, as William J. Bennett wrote in his in 2002 in his book "Why We Fight," "vast and varied and runs the gamut from the Iran of the ayatollahs to secular and largely westernized Turkey."Turkey, in the above description, is listed as one Muslim country that is closest to our own United States. But I know a local family that fled from there because, as Christians, they were persecuted.

Evil dictator brought to justice
Kirsten Powers, a Fox News political analyst, was a political appointee in the Clinton administration...and she is so right on about this:
January 7, 2007 -- I DIDN'T support the Iraq war and I oppose the death penalty - but the nonstop outrage and criticism of the trial and execution of Saddam Hussein is puzzling.Read more about this ridiculous "Hanging Hysteria."
Somehow, most of our nation's newspapers and magazines overlooked the core of this story: An evil dictator was brought to justice - the people he tortured, murdered and oppressed turned around and put him on trial, then carried out the sentence.
How often does this happen in our world? Pretty much never.

Clicking into the Future: Predictions for 2007

Clicking into the Future, Predictions for 2007
By Jim Hedger (c) 2006
While 2006 was a great year for webmasters it was a time of
great change and challenge in the search engine sector. The most
notable trend from 2006 was the continued advancement of Google
against natural rivals Yahoo, MSN and Ask, as well as its
persistent movement towards other, less obvious advertising
venues. Next week we will look back at the ghosts of 2006 but as
the New Year approaches, thoughts turn towards the spirits of
things to come.
Predictions for 2007
1/ Google's early entry to radio advertising will bear fruit
prompting Google to start examining television advertising.
When it comes to the allocation of advertising dollars, Google
fundamentally altered the rules of the game. In the past, mass
market advertisers would gamble on a shotgun approach to
ad-spending. The options consisted of newspaper, magazine,
telephone directory, radio or television. While each medium
could provide statistics showing their print-run and audience,
tracking the success or failure of these types of advertising
has always posed a problem for manufacturers and retailers. When
Google popularized the pay-per-click model in which advertisers
only pay when a person actually views the ad, a new model was
born.
Google's billing model will have to alter slightly to meet the
radio and video formats however, as digital radio and television
becomes the norm, tracking will become far easier. Google will
be able to charge by the listener or viewer though it remains to
be seen if listeners or viewers will actually listen to or view
advertisements on digital radio or television.
2/ A consortium of major newspapers and publishers will form a
consolidated advertising group to combat Google. The initiative
will fail.
In 2006, Google literally sucked much of the money out of the
pool of resources shared by publishers on or offline. With its
venture into newspaper advertising, Google has threatened the
classic golden goose of traditional news publishing, the
classified ad section. News gathering organizations, already
reeling from a loss of advertising income to other facets of the
online marketplace should band together much as several airlines
have to reduce cost and difficulties booking tickets. The
newspapers and magazines could easily promote local, regional,
national and even international advertising opportunities at a
much lower cost than they could individually. If they can band
together to undercut Google's costs is another question however
they will either figure out how to collectively raise
advertising income or they will become Google advertising
affiliates.
3/ Congress will initiate an open investigation of pay-per-click
advertising models.
We already know of closed-door congressional inquiries into the
PPC market. Stemming from the AIT vs. Google case, we have
learned of FBI and Secret Service investigations, and in-camera
hearings before congressional committees. We also know of at
least two republican and one democratic senators interested in
opening further investigations.
How this one plays out is a mystery, but it will likely play out
this year. Thus far, the investigations have been kept behind
closed doors, a silent testimony to the strength of Google's
lobby effort in Washington DC. No matter how talented and
strenuous the lobby, an investigation of Click Fraud will be
made public sometime this year.
4/ An investigation of pay-per-click advertising models will
threaten Google's stock values.
Hence the strong lobby effort. If common sense doesn't threaten
Google's stock values, the threat of congressional oversight
will.
5/ Google will drop below $450 before the end of first quarter
2007. If Google drops below $425, watch for a major landslide in
California.
The market is softening. With expected slowdowns in the housing,
building, manufacturing and retail sectors, tech investors are
showing signs of skittishness going into 2007. The first part of
January is traditionally a time when the market readjusts to
decisions made by investors in the last weeks of December. Many
sell shares towards the end of the year in order to clarify
their incomes for tax time. This year, a number of analysts have
advised clients to unload some of their Google shares as a hedge
against an expected downturn in share values.
While Google remains far above the $450 range, expect it to drop
to around $450 by mid-March. It's earnings to assets ratios are
way too extended and though it has better prospects than any of
its competitors, the search advertising market is changing
rapidly. The only thing that saves Google from dropping is
rapid entry into the television advertising market. The first
signs of a weakening AdWords market will be the catalyst of the
first round of a Goog landslide. If the share prices hit $425,
watch for major selling. If it goes below $400, buy a boat.
6/ Yahoo will find focus and direction.
Having freed itself from the sticky peanut butter mess it found
itself in late 2006, Yahoo has made the first steps towards
reorganizing their messy organization. The battle between
Hollywood and Sunnyvale has been settled with the geeks coming
out on top of the agents. This year is Yahoo's year to stage a
serious comeback or to languish into obscurity. I suspect the
former. However, all the major algorithmic search engines will
face a new challenger this year.
7/ The major search engines will face a new and socially adept
competitor this year.
Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales has hooked up with Amazon to
produce a human-powered search engine that will be released
sometime in 2007. This collaborative effort to dethrone Google
will be moderately successful. Wikisari will quickly become one
of the biggies, but Google will still be king.
8/ 2007 will be the year Internet marketers discover the power
of online video.
The use of video will become a standard component of online
communication. Advertisements, long-distance conferencing and
public relations in general will be affected. The advancement of
video online will set the stage for a major realignment in the
traditional entertainment industry.
9/ DIY Infotainment Distribution for fun and profit.
Using tools like the Yahoo Publisher Network, YouTube, Flickr
and distributed podcasts, webmasters and private websites will
start to replace professionally developed network broadcasts as
an information and entertainment source.
Add efficient monetization to the mix through Yahoo Search
Marketing ads and you have an effective enticement for
adventurous webmasters to try entering the market.
10/ YPN will see challengers this year.
While the Yahoo Publisher Network is by far the most advanced
program of its kind, expect to see other search entities
introducing their own webmaster friendly monetized information
and entertainment distribution programs.
11/ The search marketing environment will further fragment with
the following sectors seeing:
Stronger gains: Video, Social Networking, Niche marketing, Vertical search
Weaker margins: Traditional domain-driven SEO, Small-scale PPC
12/ Changes to the SEO Billing Model
Many traditional SEOs will be forced to adopt PPC style billing.
Fees will be charged based on the success of a campaign as
opposed to flat fees charged up front or on a monthly basis.
Greg Boser has written and commented on this several times, most
recently in a conversation with WebmasterRadio's Daron Babin on
the last Rainmaker show of 2006.
13/ Consolidation in the Search Marketing Sector
In 2007, financial pressures faced by firms in the SEO part of
the search marketing industry will produce a sector that looks
very different from the one we work in now. Watch for
consolidation between allied SEO, SEM, Public Relations and
link-building firms as clients demand full-service vendors.
14/ Hasty La Vista
Early Microsoft Vista users will eat a number of worms, catch a
bunch of viruses and end up as Zombies. As a result, savvy IT
departments put off the update until Microsoft can prove it has
created a master-patch.
15/ Patch This Microsoft
That big patch will be ready for download in 2008, effectively
delaying the rollout of Vista for another year.
2 Bonus Predictions
16/ Duke Nukem Forever
Duke Nukem Forever will be noted as the greatest game that never
was.
17/ Planet Fortune
Webmasters will have more rewarding opportunities this year than
ever. 2007 will see the fruition of several major initiatives
started in 2005 or 2006 such as the YPN, online video
advertising, and the combination of on and offline advertising.
With the largest public relations and marketing firms in the
world taking serious note of search, the search marketing
industry will be truly considered part of the mainstream ad
industry. This will empower webmasters as more attention, energy
and assistance is directed towards helping webmasters present
interesting content framed by increasingly expensive
advertising. There is a lot of fortune to be found online this
year and much of it will trickle down to the grassroots.
2007 is going to be an intense and interesting year. Next week,
we'll take a look at how I did in my 2006 predictions.

I played piano for President Ford
It was so exciting to perform for a U.S. President!
The Secret Service covered every move made by the members of the group I was with (The Mike Curb Congregation) even to looking inside my boots, pulling down the light fixtures (for what purpose???) inside the dressing room provided at The Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles, and following us to and from the coffee shop.
It was 1976, much closer in time to the Kennedy assassination on November 22, 1963. We were told NOT to turn around and unplug our amps after performing (for obvious reasons).
This may have been a fundraiser. Mike Curb was seated at the head table with the President (he became California's Lt. Governor in 1979). I got $50.00 to play for just 15 minutes...but I had to be granted a "Q" clearance the week before this performance or I would not have been allowed to be there.
Then I went home to the little bungalow under the "Hollywood" sign I shared with several other musicians where I slept next to my instruments on the floor.
Ah, the life of a musician :)

It costs several billion a year to save a dime on a head of lettuce
Illegal aliens violate dozens of our laws every day. From identity theft, to phony ID’s, to having criminal sexual predators sneaking into our nation, to use of our health care, housing and education services. They drive without licenses or insurance. Illegal aliens take jobs from honest citizens and drive down wages. Up front the cost of goods and services are lowered, a bit, but when you consider that each illegal alien child cost the taxpayers of California $10,000 or more per year to educate, it costs honest citizens several billion a year to save a dime on a head of lettuce.Illegal Aliens To Get Billions From U.S. Social Security
Now, by using someone else’s Social Security card, or a totally phony card, illegal aliens will qualify to get Social Security.

Like United, the FAA originally told the Tribune that it had no information on the alleged UFO sighting. But the federal agency quickly reversed its position after the newspaper filed a Freedom of Information Act request.
All the witnesses to the O'Hare event, who included at least several pilots, said they are certain based on the disc's appearance and flight characteristics that it was not an airplane, helicopter, weather balloon or any other craft known to man.

Housework cuts breast cancer risk
Drat!
Just as I've FINALLY convinced my husband to let us pay for some help around the house.
Boy, does this put a whole new light on "The Politics of Housework"!!!
Just as I've FINALLY convinced my husband to let us pay for some help around the house.
The research on more than 200,000 women from nine European countries found doing household chores was far more cancer protective than playing sport.Read it and weep--or laugh, it's hard to figure which.
Dusting, mopping and vacuuming was also better than having a physical job.
Out of all of the activities, only housework significantly reduced the risk of both pre- and post-menopausal women getting the disease.
Housework cut breast cancer risk by 30% among the pre-menopausal women and 20% among the post-menopausal women.
Boy, does this put a whole new light on "The Politics of Housework"!!!
An Evening with Colin Powell
The retired general and former secretary of State, right, in conversation with journalist Juan Williams aired at 10 p.m. on KCET (PBS, Los Angeles) last night and was billed as "A rare and insightful look into the life and career of Colin Powell".
If you ever get a chance to see it in a repeat, please do watch--it was really good!
He is a rare person and has an incredible history. Aside from any political differences (and he does not, in any way, demean President Bush in this interview) you will be impressed by this man.
I remember seeing a two-hour interview with him in, I believe, the 1980's...he had been traveling all over the country speaking to children. That was a great interview and this is even better (for some reason I cannot explain, I felt like crying at the end!).
There was an offer to purchase the video of this interview at the end for $34.95 (a bit pricey for my taste though).

Jimmy Carter puts his mouth where his money is
Carter: an anti-semitic hypocrite:
For decades Jimmy Carter has continually taken the side of Arab countries and opposed the position of Israel. Most of us suspected an anti-Israel and even an anti-semitic bias in the former President. Now the truth comes out. While he obviously is both anti-Israel and anti-Jewish, we now find out that his foundation has, from its inception, been financed by Arabs. Now we know that Jimmy Carter has A Religious Problem:
Since 1948, some administrations (Eisenhower, Bush Sr.) have been less ardent in their attachment to Israel, and others (Kennedy, Nixon) more so. Throughout the last 60 years, though, the U.S. has never wavered in its concern for Israel's survival and its support for the Jewish people's right to statehood. While U.S.-Israel ties are no doubt strengthened by common bonds of democracy and Western culture, religion remains an integral component in that relationship. We know that Lyndon Johnson's Baptist grandfather told him to "take care of the Jews, God's chosen people," and that Bill Clinton's pastor, on his deathbed, made the future president promise never to abandon the Jewish state. We know how faith has impacted the policies of George W. Bush, who is perhaps the most pro-Israel president in history. Why won't Carter debate his book?:
YOU CAN ALWAYS tell when a public figure has written an indefensible book: when he refuses to debate it in the court of public opinion. And you can always tell when he's a hypocrite to boot: when he says he wrote a book in order to stimulate a debate, and then he refuses to participate in any such debate. I'm talking about former president Jimmy Carter and his new book "Palestine Peace Not Apartheid."
