You probably missed this in the rush of news, but there was actually a report that someone in Pakistan had published in a newspaper, an offer of a reward to anyone who killed an American, any American.


So an Australian dentist wrote an editorial the following day to let everyone know what an American is . So they would know when they found one. (Good one, mate!!!!)


'An American is English, or French, or Italian, Irish, German, Spanish , Polish, Russian or Greek. An American may also be Canadian, Mexican, African, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Australian, Iranian, Asian, or Arab, or Pakistani or Afghan.


An American may also be a Comanche, Cherokee, Osage, Blackfoot, Navaho, Apache, Seminole or one of the many other tribes known as native Americans.


An American is Christian , or he could be Jewish, or Buddhist, or Muslim. In fact, there are more Muslims in America than in Afghanistan . The only difference is that in America they are free to worship as each of them chooses...


An American is also free to believe in no religion.. For that he will answer only to God, not to the government, or to armed thugs claiming to speak for the government and for God.


An American lives in the most prosperous land in the history of the world.


The root of that prosperity can be found in the Declaration of Independence , which recognizes the God given right of each person to the pursuit of happiness.


An American is generous.. Americans have helped out just about every other nation in the world in their time of need, never asking a thing in return.


When Afghanistan was over-run by the Soviet army 20 years ago, Americans came with arms and supplies to enable the people to win back their country!


As of the morning of September 11, Americans had given more than any other nation to the poor in Afghanistan ..


The national symbol of America , The Statue of Liberty , welcomes your tired and your poor, the wretched refuse of your teeming shores, the homeless, tempest tossed. These in fact are the people who built America.


Some of them were working in the Twin Towers the morning of September 11 , 2001 earning a better life for their families. It's been told that the World Trade Center victims were from at least 30 different countries, cultures, and first languages, including those that aided and abetted the terrorists.


So you can try to kill an American if you must.. Hitler did. So did General Tojo , and Stalin , and Mao Tse-Tung, and other blood-thirsty tyrants in the world.. But, in doing so you would just be killing yourself . Because Americans are not a particular people from a particular place. They are the embodiment of the human spirit of freedom. Everyone who holds to that spirit, everywhere, is an American.

Americans Have Almost Entirely Forgotten Their History

A study by the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation found that only 1 in 3 Americans can actually pass the U.S. citizenship test, which asks the most basic questions about our history and how our system of government works.

Passing the test requires answering 60 percent of questions correctly, but a majority of those participating in the survey couldn’t even do that.

Just watched the PBS documentary "Hiroshima" about how horrible the U.S. is for nuking those nice Japanese in WWII.
Awwww those poor snowflakes!

No mention of the vivisection the Japanese practiced on American POWs and Chinese civilians just to do torture experiments on them. No mention how these "surgeries" were performed sans anesthesia and done in a way to keep the victim alive, conscious and feeling every tear, cut, laceration, gut, disembowelment, castration, eyeball extraction and amputation so that the victim would not die until every possible agony was prolonged to the maximum extent.

No mention of the humiliations and agonies unleashed on our soldiers unlucky enough to fall into Japanese custody in the pacific war.

No one mentioned how the nuclear detonation led to the end of the Japanese imperial dynasty which, had it survived, would likely resemble the repression of the regime of modern North Korea but because of its destruction, the Japanese people from the end of WWII to today into the foreseeable future essentially lived and continue to live in freedom and liberty.

Instead of hating us for the bomb, the Japanese should thank us. It saved their nation from total annihilation that a full scale invasion and American victory would have resulted in. It also saved them from the totalitarianism their own government imposed on them and would have continued imposing if God forbid they were victorious against us.

All I can say to the people of Japan is "you're welcome."

Sometimes life makes us make tough choices and given the alternatives, the Japanese got off on the cheap.

PBS sucks for telling so much less than the whole story. Shame on them for telling almost none of it. I'm sure the victims of the bomb had a time that really sucked but the fault lies entirely on the side of the Japanese government. Not America for doing all it could do to defeat what was up to that time, one of the two most barbaric regimes in human history.

Obama Aims To Identify, Promote Gay Landmarks Throughout National Parks

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — The National Park Service is launching an initiative to make places and people of significance to the history of lesbian, gay, transgender and bisexual Americans part of the national narrative.

Interior Secretary Sally Jewell is convening a panel of 18 scholars next month that will be charged with exploring the LGBT movement’s story in areas such as law, religion, media, civil rights and the arts. The committee will identify relevant sites and its work will be used to evaluate them for inclusion on the National Register of Historic Places, designation as National Historic Landmarks, or consideration as national monuments, Park Service Director Jonathan Jarvis said.

When members of our military and law enforcement start taking these things seriously, so do I.

A former CA Highway Patrol officer forwarded to me the following email he received:

"When I first started watching this video I thought it was BS, then at 7 minutes into the clip I became curious,and concerned.

So then I forwarded it to a former Army combat infantry Veteran who has current direct connections = Association linked closely with active duty combat infantry units both Germany & U.S.

He says this:

"I can not say with certainty that the item here is totally legit.

However, what I can say with some confidence is that at least some of the active duty infantry folks with whom I am close have told me they have been assigned to attend more than one session involving control of civilian populations, including how to disarm, etc. These classes have taken place over the past 90-120 days.

When the active duty folks have asked why they are being assigned to attend this specific training, they are simply told it is basic continuing education. But there is talk among the ranks on this topic.

The UN Arms Trade Treaty that has been identified by observers as a flagrant threat to the second amendment and which Barack Obama is determined to sign has its roots in a 1961 State Department memorandum which explains how the United Nations will oversee “complete disarmament” of the American people under the ruse of preventing war. The UN Arms Treaty has caused so much controversy because it outlines a plan to target “all types of conventional weapons, notably including small arms and light weapons,” according to Forbes’ Larry Bell.

Former US Ambassador to the UN John Bolton also warns that the agreement “is trying to act as though this is really just a treaty about international arms trade between nation states, but there is no doubt that the real agenda here is domestic firearms control.”

subsidiary Geotec Boyles Bros. worked the drills and machinery to locate and reach the miners and then enlarge the holes to ultimately rescue them.

Jeff Hart of Denver Colorado was called off his job drilling water wells for the U.S. Army's forward operating bases in Afghanistan to lead the
drilling crew that reached the miners.

Atlas Copco Construction Mining Company of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, provided consulting on how to make drilling equipment from different sources work together under differing pressure specifications.

Aries Central California Video of Fresno, California, designed the special cameras that were lowered nearly a mile into the ground sending back
video of the miners.

Zephyr Technologies of Annapolis, Maryland, made the remote monitors of vital signs that miners will wear during their ascent.

NASA Engineers designed the "Phoenix" capsule that miners would be
brought to the surface in, and provided medical consulting, special
diets and spandex suits to maintain miners' blood pressure as they're
brought back to the surface.

Oh, and Canadian-based Precision Drilling Corp. and South-African
company Murray & Roberts drilled backup rescue shafts in case the
American rig failed (which it didn't).

The cost of keeping me alive for the last ten years has been astronomical. And who has been paying for it - the taxpayers of the United States. I am on Medicare and have run up probably $1 million in hospital and doctor charges of which Medicare paid $300,000 and the healthcare industry ate $700,000. Due to careful planning, I didn’t pay Medicare taxes most of my life. My contribution to the program was negligible.

The bill for my recent Gall Bladder surgery is a window into why (1) insurers make so little profit from covering health, (2) the entire medical industry is dysfunctional financially and (3) the problem is government’s intrusion into the health care industry.

This was the charge for a three-day stay. I didn’t get the bill for my 7-way heart bypass surgery in 2002 but I assume it was a dozy too – my share was $200 for that one. I have Stage II diabetes; have had two cataract surgeries and assorted maladies all of which cost me about $10 a visit.

I don’t have to explain why Medicare is loved by the beneficiaries and eventually unsustainable financially. The bill clearly illustrates why seniors want to keep their benefits and many like me are getting benefits they didn’t even partially help cover.

Neither politicians nor the people are addressing how to solve this enormous entitlement problem. A precious few are trying to make the program solvent but only have temporary fixes that merely kick the can down the street to another Congress. There is a way to solve it but it is not on the table – that is privatizing the program which would enable people to afford these high-priced medical costs.

The unfunded cost of entitlements is presently $111 trillion dollars. There is no way to pay off this amount by raising taxes or cutting benefits without serious political consequences. Privatizing the program correctly could deliver the wealth necessary so that every American could afford the best medical care on the planet. It is tragic that the principle that the Founders built our country on – privatizing – should have been so demeaned that it now stands for destroying social programs like Medicare.
