New York subway train cutback helped spread coronavirus: MIT study
EXCERPT Conservative radio host Mark Levin cited a study from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology on Saturday concluding that the decision to cut back on subway trains forced more people on fewer trains and contributed to the coronavirus spread.
“MIT study and analysis: New York’s decision to cutback on subway trains and public buses crowded more people onto fewer subway cars and buses creating the pandemic’s ground zero in the city,” Levin tweeted Saturday.
“New York City’s multitentacled subway system was a major disseminator — if not the principal transmission vehicle — of coronavirus infection during the initial takeoff of the massive epidemic that became evident throughout the city during March 2020,” the abstract of the study stated.

"New York ain’t New York anymore"
A knish is just a knish,
A blintz is just a blintz.
Of that you can't deny...
Well, apparently not anymore!!
One man recently related:
"13th Avenue used to be fantastic. Carini's for pastries. Scotto's for "Brooklyn bread" and salviatas and other cookies. Long gone. [Yes, Scotto's is still there, but under "new" management.] And it's not just the paisans who are gone. Not that long ago, lady friend and I visited the old neighborhood, and she wanted a knish, like she used to buy for her mother on the avenue. We drove all the way from 38th Street to the New Utrecht Avenue el, not one Jewish deli with a lousy knish."
And a former New Yorker friend's recent experience:
"Speaking of knishes, we went to Yonah Schimmel’s, the most famous place in the world for knishes and they were awful.
Apparently, it’s now a mostly Internet mail order business so they are kept frozen and if you come in person (as we did) they microwave them. Ugh.
Yet another great New York institution down the drain."
My friend also mentioned that all her favorite restaurants were gone too!!

Mueller's Weaponized Justice System Should Scare All Americans
Cohen, Flynn, and Manafort were targeted for political reasons, and that should scare the hell out of every American in our country, no matter what color you are, how you vote, or how wealthy you are, and something must be done to stop it.
It’s time for the U.S. Attorney General to stop this madness, and create internal policies to prevent it from happening in the future, and if for some reason, he cannot get the job done, that the president must find someone that can.
As New York City’s 40th Police Commissioner, Bernard Kerik was in command of the NYPD on September 11, 2001, and responsible for the city’s response, rescue, recovery, and the investigative efforts of the most substantial terror attack in world history. His 35-year career has been recognized in more than 100 awards for meritorious and heroic service, including a presidential commendation for heroism by President Ronald Reagan, two Distinguished Service Awards from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, The Ellis Island Medal of Honor, and an appointment as Honorary Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

VERY BAD NEWS!!!
A doctor (Craig Spencer) who was recently treating Ebola patients in Guinea has tested positive for Ebola!!!
But that's not the bad news (except for him and his fiance), it's the fact that he went all over New York AFTER he became symptomatic: he rode the subway for hours, hired cabs, went to a bowling alley...WTF was this DOCTOR thinking???
Drudge has the story as his featured story.

More evidence liberals are trying to kill us
HotAir.com:
CDC: Oops, salt is not actually dangerous, and cutting it may be harmfulIn an anecdotal case, a close friend became very ill and was hospitalized last year. Turns out that he had mistakenly cut out salt from his diet due to all the bad publicity [FROM LIBERALS]!As with so many bad public health ideas, the idea of cutting salt found its national footing thanks to Mayor Michael Bloomberg, whose primary public service as head of the largest city in America has been to ban and discourage as many delicious foods as possible. In 2009, Bloomberg started the National Salt Reduction Initiative, led by the New York City health department in an effort to push major food companies into “voluntary” lower-sodium standards. The goal was to reduce sodium intake by 25 percent.

An alternative to what?
...the real reason that the Village Voice is dead is because the alternative media is dead and the alternative media is dead because there is nothing for it to be an alternative to. New Yorkers can just as easily read shrill rants about the NYPD in the Daily News, pretentious movie reviews for artsy films at The Onion and leftist denunciations of the War on Terror in the New York Times.READ MORE

There's a friggin' app for that!
From a friend of mine who just flew to New York City:
I was in the limo coming from the airport to my hotel. Pakistani driver, of course. All of a sudden, out of nowhere, I hear the call to prayer! Not from the radio. From where? There's a friggin' app for that! An Islamic call to prayer app that goes off 5 times a day!Wonder if there'll be an app for beheadings too???

A trip to New York...and a surprising discovery
From a friend who recently returned from a visit to New York...
Greetings Everyone from New York:
This morning my husband and I went to the 9/11 Memorial Site. After passing through more security than I have ever seen at any airport in the world (including Tel Aviv) we arrived at the North and South Reflecting Pools. The "reflecting pools" are located on the footprints of World Trade Center One and World Trade Center Two. Around the perimeter 3,000 names are engraved, identified by fire company, police battalion, etc. which gives you a sense of the enormity of the loss and how many co-workers were lost to each group. That was good.
The problem is, they are not actually "reflecting pools," but more like a cross between a waterfall and a giant toilet. Plus when the wind blows (every 2-3 minutes) you get sprayed with water. So, it is not only not an emotional and moving experience to be there, it is annoying and unpleasant. A huge disappointment.
However, despite the memorial's shortcomings it is humbling to stand on the site where two 110 story buildings were once and are no longer.
Just a few feet away is the still under construction, but almost complete Freedom Tower. Futuristic and ugly. Looks like it would be more comfortable in the Dubai skyline than the New York City skyline.
However, just blocks away, a completely different experience. There's a small gem of a museum that was founded by some family members of the victims. It is so heart wrenching that they literally have boxes of tissues every few feet for the public to partake of, and believe me, you need those damn tissues.
The small museum, TRIBUTE WTC VISITOR CENTER, has videos, artifacts (a broken fireman's helmet, a melted airplane window, an intact passenger's boarding pass, etc.) quotes from family members and first responders and is just beautifully and tastefully done.
I was lucky enough to meet Lee Ielpi, one of the museum's founders. Lee's a retired fireman who's son, Jonathan Ielpi, also a fireman, died on 9/11. I cried as I spoke with Mr. Ielpi. Oddly enough, he bears a striking resemblance to Rudy Guilliani.
It's hard to believe it's been more than a decade.
God Bless America.

Democrats hate Sarah Palin because "she is living proof that everything about the Democrat Party narrative is a lie"
Yes, of course not ALL Democrats hate her. In fact, former mayor of New York City Ed Koch just penned this nice tribute to Sarah Palin.
But friend and comedian Evan Sayet explains just Why the Left Hates Sarah Palin!
I can totally relate to his opening, can you?
Needless to say, I didn't even get that "one thing" but I did hear how Obama is doing "the very best he can" for America. Good thing I saw a brief clip of Andy Rooney the next night saying exactly the same thing: "Obama's doing the very best he can..." from the 60-Minute show that my friend so loves because I realized that she does nothing but parrot things like that without having any personal knowledge or basis for saying the things she believes.
This is truly frightening if you add up just how many people there are who can vote and who vote for liberals based on mythical mental viruses that are passed from one to the other without any real personal knowledge of what they are saying.
God help us all.
But friend and comedian Evan Sayet explains just Why the Left Hates Sarah Palin!
I can totally relate to his opening, can you?
It just happened again.I was getting my hair done last month and asked the British lady who does it (she's lived in the states for many years) to name JUST ONE of the many oh-so-wonderful things she was raving about that Obama has done for this country. She said she didn't follow politics (!@!). I said: I know, but just give me ONE thing, not the whole thing...
I spend a fair amount of time at my local coffee shop. I like to do my writing outside and, besides, it gives me an opportunity to try and initiate political conversations with the people who pass by — my hope always being to begin to enlighten them as to what conservative really believe (and not just what the leftist media tells them.)
Today the conversation turned to Sarah Palin and my new acquaintance blurted out: “Oh I hate her.” Since she did not yet know my politics, and since we were in Los Angeles, it is clear that she expected to hear back what you usually hear back in this city: “Yeah, I hate her, too.” Instead, I asked her why.
At this point I could have predicted her response because it’s the same response you get from Liberals no matter who on the Right you’re talking about, “Because she’s stupid.” I replied: “Being stupid is no reason to hate someone, but tell me, which one of her policies do you disagree with?” It wasn’t hard to predict her response: “All of them!”
I continued to push. “Well, then, if it’s all of them, it should be easy for you to name one.” Her reply? “They’re too many to list.”
“So don’t list them, just give me one,” I said.
This went on for awhile until my new acquaintance finally admitted that she didn’t know any of Ms. Palin’s policies. Before she ran off – Democrats always run off when asked to provide facts behind their hatred for Republicans – I looked her in the eye and said, “If you don’t know any of her policies perhaps you should look into them.” She promised she would. She won’t. If there are two things you can count on with Democrats, they are filled with hate and empty of facts.

September 11: Turning Tragedy Into Triumph
By Os Hillman
"So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you" (2 Cor 4:12).
On 9/11/01, New York City firefighter Stephen Siller had just completed his shift when he heard on his truck's scanner that a plane had hit one of the World Trade Center towers. Siller quickly turned his truck around and attempted to drive back to Manhattan via the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel but found the entrance blocked by abandoned vehicles. Desperate to join his elite Squad One brothers, Siller donned 75 pounds of fire gear and ran a mile-and-a-half through the tunnel, before an emergency vehicle picked him up and dropped him off at Tower Two.
Siller had been orphaned at the age of 10 and raised by his much older brothers and sisters. Siller died that day trying to save others. He left behind a wife and five children.
His story proved so inspirational that it became a legend in the newsrooms and firehouses of New York City. His six siblings - who in many ways viewed Siller as a son, as well as a brother - found themselves grappling with a dilemma: should they allow the tragic circumstances of their brother's death to paralyze and embitter them or use it as a catalyst to help others and preserve his memory?
The Siller family chose the latter.
Once they made that decision, and armed with no extraordinary wealth or political clout, the siblings combined forces to convince New York officials to close down the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel the last Sunday morning of each September and stage the "Tunnel to Towers Run/Walk" to commemorate their brother's heroic last run.
This is a tribute to one heartbroken family who opted to channel its energy into triumph out of tragedy.

Each year since 9/11 tens of thousands of runners have retraced the steps of a hero. As part of the event 343 New York City firefighters, each representing a fallen comrade and holding an American flag, stand throughout the length of the tunnel. They are joined by firefighters from across the United States, each holding a poster-size picture of a firefighter who perished on 9/11.The Siller family has raised more than $1 million and donated the money to charities that benefit families of those affected by the 9/11 attacks.
This is a tribute to one heartbroken family who opted to channel its energy into triumph out of tragedy.

Are you Islamo-nauseous?
Doug Giles spells out with Windex-like clarity how our cousins across the pond fell under the PC spell, got neutered and now have a Muslim mess on their hands... and he doesn't want what happened in Londonistan
to happen to us here!
America, if being a bigot means that:
- I can’t listen to my gut,
- or suspect their motives,
- or wonder aloud how wrong it is to have a Mosque built in close proximity to such a calamity,
- or I’m disallowed to question and connect the dots with Rauf’s radical associations and statements,
- or if I do not want what has happened in Europe to ever happen here where we lose our national identity and liberties by propping up their preposterous wishes...
...then I guess I might be a bigot. However, I prefer a tag of my own choosing, namely, “Islamo-nauseous,” as I am sick of them talking smack about our country while demanding everything from it.

Does President Obama know about the "6 mystery floors" planned for the Ground Zero Mosque?
Update: Rauf’s gang at the Cordoba Initiative tried to make their hidden website disappear. Of course, they weren’t successful; we’ve got the PDFs...
Ground Zero Mosque’s Hidden Websites: Follow the Shariah. . .
Ground Zero Mosque’s Hidden Websites: Follow the Shariah. . .
Follow the Shariah Index Project to solve the puzzle of the 6 mystery floors: We found two hidden websites with copiously deleted information, all about the Imam’s Cordoba Institute Shariah Index Project. . .FROM "MUSLIMS AGAINST SHARIA"
Numbered Documents, for everyone’s convenience!
Below, from the hidden websites, is the evidence Rauf tried to cover-up. We’ve even numbered the Shariah Index Project documents he mentioned, to make it easy for the Imam and his staff. . .
Let’s Review. All those numbers begin to add up:
The Ground Zero Mosque has at least 6 mystery floors. We suggest that they’ll be used by the Shariah Index Project.
The Shariah Index Project was built by at least 14 Shariah experts. We have the identities probably of 7 of them, and Rauf should reveal the other 7 right away.
The Shariah Index Project generated at least 16 documents and maybe a final book, and Rauf should release all of these – right away.
The issues at stake in the Ground Zero Mosque and the Shariah Index Project are not about Americans supporting the Constitution’s protection of religious freedom. Americans support that protection.
The issues at stake here are about Americans protecting the Constitution from Shariah-adherent groups using the protective guise of religious freedom to attack the Constitution itself – using a triumphal Ground Zero mosque as “the base” for a project to institutionalize Shariah in America.
Whenever Feisal first considered building a mosque across from Ground Zero, he had the idea firmly in mind by 2004, when he wrote What's Right with Islam. The book was translated into many languages. In Indonesia's Bahasa, its title translates as "The Call from the WTC Rubble." Rauf promoted the book in December 2007 at a Kuala Lumpur gathering of Hizb ut Tahrir – a terror outfit banned in Germany since 2003, and also outlawed in Bangladesh, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Tunisia, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia, among other places - and ideologically akin to the Muslim Brotherhood. Both seek to replace the U.S. Constitution with Islamic law [Sharia], and eventually impose Islam and Sharia law worldwide. Most North American Muslim Brotherhood organizations avoid widely publicizing that aim. The Hizb Ut Tahrir however, at a July 2009 Khalifah conference at a suburban Chicago Hilton, openly promised to replace capitalism with Islam and Sharia law.
Now, Imam Rauf is set to construct his dream project, wherefrom possibly the radical Islamists will start Islamization of America. This will not be a mere mosque, but a tower of terrorism to further flex the muscle of militant Islam right inside the heart of United States.
Hope Americans will realize this, before it is too late!

Newt speaks out about Ground Zero mosque
