If environmentalists get their way and force the United States to adopt European Union-style renewable energy policies, consumers will see their monthly electricity bills increase by 29 percent.

That finding comes from a new study by Robert Bryce, a senior fellow at the conservative Manhattan Institute, which found that countries that adopted stringent renewable-energy policies incurred “dramatically higher energy costs.”

What is so appalling is the lack of concern from the Obama administration, Congress, and the military to lift the curtain of deceit. As well, you come to realize media hypocrisy is hiding this incident from the American people.

If this were the Bush administration, the story would have been all over the New York Times, Washington Post, and every single liberal media outlet — not that’s not the case. Remember Cindy Sheehan and attention she got? Then why are Billy and Karen Vaughn shunned?

NBC: Super Bowl Blackout for Time Warner Cable Customers

I drove about 45 minutes down to my husband's favorite pizza place (FABROCINI's) and boy was I shocked when I was greeted at the door with an angry man! I thought that he, given that this is our very last Super Bowl in California, would be SO HAPPY when I carried it in...I was SHOCKED to find out that TIME-WARNER CABLE was DOWN!!!

I won't begin to bore you with the phone calls, the "special numbers" that didn't answer, etc., etc., etc.-- if you are interested, or if you are a cable "voyeur," you can go to their FACEBOOK page or their Twitter page which they are skillfully (social media wise) filling up with positive comments to bury all the MANY negative ones from frustrated (now DISH) customers!

Taking a cue from Obama it appears--GOSH!--it might not even actually be THEIR fault...

Customers were SO FRUSTRATED in not being able to reach Customer Support (the NUMBER ONE mistake companies can make) that they called NBC NEWS which, of course, jumped on this story right away!

Most of the comments I read (and my husband's FIRST reaction): WE WANT AN ENTIRE MONTH OF FREE SERVICE!!!

I can only imagine the vibe at everyone's house who spent a lot of money on food and invited a lot of people over...I know there are bigger priorities in this world, but TME-WARNER charges us all a lot of money every month which impacts us all to a greater or lesser degree. Soon after the announcement that the 2014 Super Bowl would be held at MetLife Stadium, New Jersey officials set up training for legions of law enforcement personnel, hospitality workers, high school students, airport employees and others on signs of sex trafficking. Local houses of worship are handing out fliers notifying congregants of warning signs, and truckers are being trained to look for people - mostly women but also men - who may be held against their will. Sex trafficking, to be prosecuted as such, must involve - unlike prostitution - not only a buyer and seller of sex but also a pimp or trafficker controlling the transaction, according to the New Jersey attorney general's office.

Officials are also warning the public to watch for people who are forced into labor and individual pimps exerting control over young women and men who are oftentimes underage.

Buying a homeless man a sandwich for two dollars feeds that man. Appropriating twenty billion dollars to feed a sandwich to every homeless man in America will only provide sandwiches to a small percentage of the homeless at a cost of four thousand dollars a sandwich.

Once you try to buy sandwiches for millions of homeless men, the sandwich money is eaten up by the expenses of studying how to identify the homeless, learning what kind of sandwiches they would like, studies on marketing sandwiches to homeless people over social media, the costs of diversity training for the sandwich makers and a million other things.

You can buy a homeless man a sandwich, but you can’t buy them all sandwiches because once you do that, you are no longer engaging in a personal interaction, but building an organization. You don’t need a homeless man to exist so that you can buy him a sandwich, but once an agency exists that is tasked with buying homeless men sandwiches; it needs the homeless men to exist as ‘clients’ so that it can buy them sandwiches and buy itself steak dinners.
