Only a Bush can beat a Clinton?

...it's almost enough to make me wonder why we don't just scrap the pretense of the United States being a democracy at all and instead embrace the truth — that, at least when it comes to the nation's highest office, we're now a nepotistic oligarchy.

The absurdity of Jeb Bush

National Journal:

"Immigrants create far more businesses than native-born Americans," Bush said. "Immigrants are more fertile, and they love families, and they have more intact families, and they bring a younger population. Immigrants create an engine of economic prosperity."

I thought of it first, when Rush first started talking about this in his morning show today...but then, of course, Rush finally mentioned the "A" word--abortion. Here's the problem:

Abortion is pushed on the American public and you are demonized if you oppose it.

Now we are told that we need immigrants to breed.

Does this make sense???

I live in California and Jeb Bush has lost his mind if he thinks immigrants "create an engine of economic prosperity"--I have seen perfectly nice middle class neighborhoods that now look like Tijuana. Our state is dying--just ask anyone who owns California municipal bond funds, if nothing else!

Jeb Bush should take a damned drive around this state before he makes any more absurd statements.

And people are talking about him for 2016?

GIVE ME A BREAK!

Los Angeles Times/Zogby: President Obama has passed the Big 4-0 -- going the wrong way.

Turns out voters were not simply satisfied to spank the Democrat and his party in the Nov. 2 midterm elections with historic losses in the House of Representatives.

Obama's job approval rating as calculated by the Zogby Poll has now sunk to 39%, a new low for his 22-month presidency that began with so much hope and excitement and poll numbers up around 70. As recently as Sept. 20, his job approval was 49%.

A whopping 60% now disapprove of his job, up from 51% disapproval Sept. 20.

Obama now trails in hypothetical 2012 matchups against Republicans Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich and the next Bush, Jeb.

And, oh, my! Lookee here! Obama has even fallen into a statistical tie with none other than Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor. How embarrassing that is because other polls have shown a majority of Americans believe she is unqualified for the presidency. So it appears many have now decided, on second thought, Obama looks that way too.
