2 myths about "the rich"
CNBC:
The presidential election has given us two myths about the rich. First, that their incomes, and income inequality, are at all-time highs. Second, that the wealthy pay less in taxes than ever, and lower taxes than the rest of us.READ MORE

The myth of Obama
From InstaPundit:
DON'T BELIEVE THIS???
SORRY...IT'S REALLY TRUE...EVEN "60 MINUTES" THINKS SO...
60 Minutes Broadcast Edits Out Laughable Obama Claim as 4th Best President
Barack Obama is a myth, our modern version of Pecos Bill or Paul Bunyan. What we were told is true, never had much basis in fact — a fact now increasingly clear as hype gives way to reality. . . . In short, the myth of Obama’s brilliance was based on his teleprompted eloquence, the sort of fable that says we should listen to a clueless Sean Penn or Matt Damon on politics because they can sometimes act well. Read Plato’s Ion on the difference between gifted rhapsody and wisdom — and Socrates’ warning about easily conflating the two. It need not have been so. At any point in a long career, Obama the rhapsode could have shunned the easy way, stuck his head in a book, and earned rather than charmed those (for whom he had contempt) for his rewards. Clinton was a browser with a near photographic memory who had pretensions of deeply-read wonkery; but he nonetheless browsed. Obama seems never to have done that. When the Legend Becomes Fact, Print the Legend.

Bigfoots love Zagnuts!
Animal Planet will be following Michael Greene, a man from Salisbury, NC who claims he saw Bigfoot in the Uwharrie National Forest two years ago. Greene says he has been tracking Bigfoot across the U.S. and Canada, all the way from the Yukon to the Adirondacks, and finally managed to make contact in the Uwharrie National Forest. Greene reportedly lured the Bigfoot out using a Zagnut candy bar (Bigfoots love Zagnuts) and captured a thermal image of the beast. That was enough of a tease for Animal Planet, apparently, who is now sending out a film crew to document Greene’s attempt to find Bigfoot again.Bigfoot: New Reality TV Star?

6 Myths About Oil
The 6 myths about oil all count on the fact that we have not been taught to truly value or understand oil, the oil industry, and the capitalist system that have made them so prominent.Read the whole thing
Myth #1: America’s reliance on oil is an “addiction”—an irrational, self-destructive habit.
Myth #2: There are “green” technologies that are just as good, or better, than oil.
Myth #3: Because oil is finite, it will inevitably run out.
Myth #4: Because oil is mostly in other countries, they can cut us off at will and create an economic catastrophe.
Myth #5: Because oil money funds hostile dictatorships (Iran, Saudi Arabia) by using less oil we can make them poorer and make ourselves more secure.
Myth #6: Because the burning of oil produces CO2, oil is a deadly pollutant that must be severely capped.
