Russia is behind much of the propaganda in the West that supports ‘green energy’ and banning fracking. This enables Russia’s dominance in the energy sector.

Excerpt:

It is not difficult to see that certain countries would be happy to see the US and European countries step away from fracking and energy independence.  Saudi Arabia, Russia, Venezuela and other oil producers are happy to see the US energy-dependent as they are now.  This allows these countries to capitalize and provide the oil and gas necessary to keep the US and European economies going.  The producers become rich and Americans and Europeans suffer.

China too would like to see the US energy-dependent so that the US does not get ahead of them in any way.  American energy dependence also places the US at the mercy of other countries in many ways.

The best way to destroy America’s energy independence was to find corrupt politicians who were open to altering this matter.  Of course, donations and dark money were likely part of the equation.   This and the propaganda in the public realm to help soften the insanity of energy dependence is the strategy for Russia and likely other countries and corrupt politicians.

How Russia and the Saudis expect to cash in if Hillary Clinton wins the election

It is worth about $200,000,000,000 (not a typo, 200 billion)) per year to Russia and another roughly $200,000,000,000 per year to the Saudis if Hillary wins because she will stop fracking in America, and the price of oil will at least double.

Both have supported the Clintons with big bucks and both expect to make a return of over 100,000% (not a typo) per year on their investments.

That is more than enough to buy a lot of corruption. And a lot of war and terrorism.

Trump doesn’t have to be either smart or conservative to save us from that, but he does have to win.

Understanding Jihad lies is the first step toward self-defense

Radicals in the Democratic Party used to follow Moscow. Today they follow Tehran and Riyadh. Our population has been dumbed down so much that Americans are blind to clear and present danger...the new Left-Jihad alliance that started in the 1970s when Saudi Arabia learned to buy up Western politicians with OPEC money and price manipulation.

We're never going to run out of oil

REAL CLEAR POLITICS:
With prices returning to ordinary levels and a few centuries’ worth of fossil fuels on tap, this is a good time to remind ourselves that nearly every warning the left has peddled about an impending energy crisis over the past 30 to 40 years has turned out to be wrong. And none of them are more wrong than the Malthusian idea that says we’re running out of oil.

In 2011, oil production on federally-controlled lands -- lands under presidential control -- decreased by 275,000 barrels per day.

While President Obama's claim that domestic oil production has increased during each of the four years he has been in office is correct, both the CRS report U.S. Oil Imports and Exports and data from the Energy Information Administration (EIA) show that domestic oil production increased at a similar rate during 2004 to 2008, the last four years of the George W. Bush administration. In other words, the increase in domestic oil production under President Obama is, in reality, a continuation of a trend which began under President Bush.
In addition, the President of the United States - any President of the United States - can only control oil and gas exploration and production on lands and offshore areas owned and controlled by the federal government. According to U.S. Oil Imports and Exports, 96% of the increase in domestic oil production since 2007 has taken place on privately owned, nonfederal lands, thus making it oil and gas production in which Presidents Obama and Bush had little or no role.
According to the EIA report Fossil Fuels Produced from Federal and Indian Lands, 2003-2011, only 31.8% of all domestic oil produced in 2011 came from federal lands under the president's control. The 31.8% of oil and gas produced on federal lands in 2011 was actually below the nine-year average of 33.4%, the EIA report shows.
In reality, reports the EIA, 68.2% of the increase in U.S. oil and gas production in 2011 came from state and privately-owned lands not under the president's control. While oil production on state and privately-owned lands increased by almost 150 million barrels from 2010 to 2011, production on federally-owned lands during 2011 actually decreased by 14% or 83 million barrels from a nine-year high reached in 2010.
The CRS report U.S. Oil Imports and Export, confirms that in 2011, oil production on federally-controlled lands -- lands under presidential control -- decreased by 275,000 barrels per day.

LIghts out?

The Inquisitr invited Tom Tamarkin, founder & CEO of USCL and EnergyCite®, for a no-holds barred discussion:
Despite all the misleading and overly optimistic claims to the contrary, the truth is that by the year 2060, all the planet’s known reserves of fossil fuel will run dry. Before we begin our discussion about the depletion of the world’s oil reserves and the fact that there is no current alternative energy technology other than nuclear fission capable of replacing oil, I think it would be useful if you gave our readers an insight into your background as an innovator in the energy industry, and as a humanitarian trying to build a better world.

Shale shafts 'Vlad the Impaler': If the price of oil drops, Russia is wiped out

Sweet...oh, SO SWEET!!

Thanks to Daniel Greenfield over at Sultan Knish:
...if conservatives win in America and elsewhere, domestic drilling will go into high gear and the price of oil will drop. If the price of oil drops, Russia is wiped out.
Why Putin Cannot Afford an Obama Defeat.

And, if you're really into energy 'inside baseball' (as many fancy themselves to be):
...if anything, highlights the gas giant’s core problem: Gazprom has gone beyond the point of any commercial return to play the role that Russia wants, due to shale developments elsewhere [Emphasis mine.]. Unless Putin backs up his words with credible actions, not just fobbing off the EU, but putting more ‘state’ and cash back into Gazprom to progress its global ambitions, it’s going to suffer a slow and painful market death. That’s not exactly good news for Mr. Putin either. Back to Soviet economics 101.
Do any of you realize how f*cking amazing life is that this ex-KGB self-worshipping tough guy Vladimir Putin's entire f*cking future rests with our real-life version of Maxwell Smart's re-election? (Forget Chauncey Gardiner!)

ROFL.

Energy wake-up call

Excerpts from OUR ENERGY FUTURE by Jeffrey Carter [via InstaPundit]
At the Chicago Booth Graduate School of Business Management Conference Friday, I listened to a panel discussion on energy. It was interesting, primarily because the two panelists didn’t mince words. They offered up some interesting stats. . .
  • Running an oil company isn’t cheap and has a lot of fixed costs.

  • Energy prices aren’t going lower in the long run and instead of battery powered cars and trucks we should figure out how to make uranium powered cars and trucks.

  • Research into green energy isn’t a total waste of money or time since fossil fuels will eventually be gone. However, government subsidies and government money pouring into research seems ill spent.

  • Natural gas is a good alternative, but we need to figure out how to develop an ecosystem so that it becomes easy for companies to switch. Natural gas has more energy density than diesel fuel.

  • We don’t need CAFE standards to stimulate car companies to create better cars. Economic incentives create them. There is no secret car that gets 90 MPG that car companies are withholding from the market. If they had it, you could buy it on a lot.

  • Give up on high speed rail. It’s not going to be possible under the current political environment, or economic environment.
  • The US will squander much of it’s storehouse of current energy due to bad policy.

  • Things like the Chevy Volt in the current technological environment are not efficient. They are science experiments.
As an angel investor, I don’t see me making investments in green energy that will take years to come to fruition. However, as an angel investor I can make investments into companies like Power2Switch that are in the energy sector, but not in the research and development of it.

The Obama administration is setting the stage for the dismantling of the Trans-Alaska Pipeline

According to Hastings, the Obama administration has shown a greater interest in appealing to “far-left environmentalists” than in preserving a pipeline that carries approximately 10 percent of the nation’s daily oil output and is responsible for one-third of Alaska’s economic output.

We all know what happens when you raid an emergency stash without a good reason...

The release makes little sense for American markets. Crude and gasoline inventories are above average, and crude and gasoline prices have been trending down for weeks, despite the loss of Libyan oil, which markets have already adjusted to. The SPR was intended to be used for supply emergencies. There is no supply emergency.

Cameron's poodle: War is better the second time around?

Andy Williams, Barbra Streisand, Dustry Springfield and, of course, Frank Sinatra, convinced us all that love is better the second time around but...war? Ergo: "kinetic military action!"
For years American liberals accused George W. Bush of being dumb and unserious-- only to elect a man who actually is dumb and unserious. Who announces a war in between his NCAA picks and a trip to Rio. Who has spent more time playing golf, than directing the war effort. Who spends more time in front of the mirror and the camera, than on policy.

They accused Bush of running an imperial presidency-- and that is exactly what they got the second time around. A war without even the thinnest facade of congressional involvement. Without Dick Cheney being anywhere in sight. They accused Bush of having a Nazi collaborating grandfather, and their own grass roots efforts to elect an Un-Bush were funded by a philanthropic Nazi collaborating billionaire.

They falsely insisted that Bush went to war for oil. And now their Great Hope has actually gone to war for oil. For BP's 900 million dollar Libyan oil deal, which Prime Minister Cameron endangered when he precipitously rushed to back the Libyan rebels who seemed on their way to victory, only to crumble at Gaddafi's pushback. After all those years of calling Blair, Bush's poodle-- Obama turned out to be Cameron's poodle. They're no doubt laughing about it in London.

6 Myths About Oil

The 6 myths about oil all count on the fact that we have not been taught to truly value or understand oil, the oil industry, and the capitalist system that have made them so prominent.

Myth #1: America’s reliance on oil is an “addiction”—an irrational, self-destructive habit.

Myth #2: There are “green” technologies that are just as good, or better, than oil.

Myth #3: Because oil is finite, it will inevitably run out.

Myth #4: Because oil is mostly in other countries, they can cut us off at will and create an economic catastrophe.

Myth #5: Because oil money funds hostile dictatorships (Iran, Saudi Arabia) by using less oil we can make them poorer and make ourselves more secure.

Myth #6: Because the burning of oil produces CO2, oil is a deadly pollutant that must be severely capped.

Glenn Beck would like this!

Morning...

Exodus 25:6

Oil for the light.

My soul, how much thou needest this, for thy lamp will not long continue to burn without it. Thy snuff will smoke and become an offence if light be gone, and gone it will be if oil be absent. Thou hast no oil well springing up in thy human nature, and therefore thou must go to them that sell and buy for thyself, or like the foolish virgins, thou wilt have to cry, "My lamp is gone out."

Even the consecrated lamps could not give light without oil; though they shone in the tabernacle they needed to be fed, though no rough winds blew upon them they required to be trimmed, and thy need is equally as great. Under the most happy circumstances thou canst not give light for another hour unless fresh oil of grace be given thee.

It was not every oil that might be used in the Lord's service; neither the petroleum which exudes so plentifully from the earth, nor the produce of fishes, nor that extracted from nuts would be accepted; one oil only was selected, and that the best olive oil. Pretended grace from natural goodness, fancied grace from priestly hands, or imaginary grace from outward ceremonies will never serve the true saint of God; he knows that the Lord would not be pleased with rivers of such oil. He goes to the olive-press of Gethsemane, and draws his supplies from Him who was crushed therein. The oil of gospel grace is pure and free from lees and dregs, and hence the light which is fed thereon is clear and bright.

Our churches are the Saviour's golden candelabra, and if they are to be lights in this dark world, they must have much holy oil. Let us pray for ourselves, our ministers, and our churches, that they may never lack oil for the light. Truth, holiness, joy, knowledge, love, these are all beams of the sacred light, but we cannot give them forth unless in private we receive oil from God the Holy Ghost.
