Russia is behind much of the propaganda in the West that supports ‘green energy’ and banning fracking. This enables Russia’s dominance in the energy sector.

It is not difficult to see that certain countries would be happy to see the US and European countries step away from fracking and energy independence.  Saudi Arabia, Russia, Venezuela and other oil producers are happy to see the US energy-dependent as they are now.  This allows these countries to capitalize and provide the oil and gas necessary to keep the US and European economies going.  The producers become rich and Americans and Europeans suffer.

China too would like to see the US energy-dependent so that the US does not get ahead of them in any way.  American energy dependence also places the US at the mercy of other countries in many ways.

The best way to destroy America’s energy independence was to find corrupt politicians who were open to altering this matter.  Of course, donations and dark money were likely part of the equation.   This and the propaganda in the public realm to help soften the insanity of energy dependence is the strategy for Russia and likely other countries and corrupt politicians.

How Russia and the Saudis expect to cash in if Hillary Clinton wins the election

It is worth about $200,000,000,000 (not a typo, 200 billion)) per year to Russia and another roughly $200,000,000,000 per year to the Saudis if Hillary wins because she will stop fracking in America, and the price of oil will at least double.

Both have supported the Clintons with big bucks and both expect to make a return of over 100,000% (not a typo) per year on their investments.

That is more than enough to buy a lot of corruption. And a lot of war and terrorism.

Trump doesn’t have to be either smart or conservative to save us from that, but he does have to win.

In sum, the experience of fracking in Pennsylvania has led to industry practices that mitigate the effect of drilling and fracking on the local environment.

And while the natural gas produced by fracking does add greenhouse gases to the atmosphere through leakage during gas extraction and carbon dioxide release during burning, it in fact holds a significant environmental advantage over coal mining. Shale gas emits half the carbon dioxide per unit of energy as does coal, and coal burning also emits metals such as mercury into the atmosphere that eventually settle back into our soils and waters.

Europe is currently increasing its reliance on coal while discouraging or banning fracking. If we are going to get our energy from hydrocarbons, blocking fracking while relying on coal looks like a bad trade-off for the environment.
