Who is actually getting death threats?

Isn't this clever?

Now a Tea Party leader is told to stay away from public events for his safety. Didn't the Left get Obama's message about the rhetoric???
After blaming the tea party for the mass slaughter on Saturday one tea party leader is receiving death threats. The sheriff’s office told Tucson tea party leader Trent Humphries to stay home.
When I was growing up in the 1950's, this lady was like my Mom's neighbors. Now she's suddenly like Satan. It's beyond riculous! Didn't these people get Obama's message about toning down that violent rhetoric?
Palin aide: She’s getting death threats at unprecedented levels
Where were the protests from the left about all THIS violence and hate (oh wait, it was the Left who was actually doing and saying all this stuff):
The progressive “climate of hate:” An illustrated primer, 2000-2010
And don't forget: Death Threats Against Bush at Protests Ignored for Years
On July 11, 2007, Nobel Peace Prize laureate Betty Williams gave the keynote speech to the International Women’s Peace Conference in Dallas, Texas, and said (to laughter and applause from the audience):
I mean right now, I could kill George Bush, no problem. No, I don’t mean that. I mean — how could you nonviolently kill somebody? I would love to be able to do that.”

You can hear the audiotape of her threat on BREITBART.TV

Despite the fact that threatening to kill the president is a crime, the Secret Service refused to question her or detain her...
Here's a collection of photos and here's a sample:

Meanwhile, in campaign mode (as usual), our opportunistic president seeks to kill (oops) two birds with one stone: They Couldn’t Help It… Team Obama Hands Out T-Shirts at Pep Rally Memorial

And still, now, it appears that the president's peeps aren't listening to him: Anti-Palin Posters Appear in SF

Isn't all of this strange? They're madly in love with a guy they won't listen to...or maybe they all really know he doesn't mean what he says about "healing" and "tone" and "rhetoric"...

What do you think?

McCarthyism of the left

George Will: The charlatans' response to the Tucson tragedy

Sunday, January 09, 2011

The Left—which has been unable to discover any common feature uniting acts of Islamist violence worldwide—nonetheless instantly noticed a bridge between the Tucson shooting and its own political opponents...

...the Left’s sudden talk about incendiary political rhetoric in the wake of the Arizona shooting isn’t really about political rhetoric at all. It’s about the real-world failure of leftist policies everywhere—the bankrupting of nations and states by greedy unions and unfundable social programs, the destruction of inner cities by identity politics, and the appeasement of Muslim extremists in the face of worldwide jihad, not to mention the frequently fatal effects of delirious environmentalism. Europe is in debt and on fire. American citizens are in political revolt. Even the most left-wing president ever is making desperate overtures to his right.

But all that might be tolerable to leftists if they weren’t starting to lose control of the one weapon in which they have the most faith: the narrative. The narrative is what leftists believe in instead of the truth. If they can blame George W. Bush for the economic crisis, if they can make Sarah Palin out to be an idiot, if they can call the Tea Party racist until you think it must be true, they might yet retain power in spite of the international disgrace of their ideas. And though they still mostly dominate the narrative on the three broadcast networks, most cable stations, most newspapers, and much of Hollywood, nonetheless Fox News, talk radio, the Internet, and the Wall Street Journal have begun to respond in ways they can’t ignore.

That’s the hateful rhetoric they’re talking about: conservatives interrupting the stream of leftist invective in order to dismantle their arguments with the facts.

Top US Federal Judge Assassinated After Threat To Obama Agenda

From THE EUROPEAN UNION TIMES
A Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) report circulating in the Kremlin today states that the top US Federal Judge for the State of Arizona was assassinated barely 72-hours after he made a critical ruling against the Obama administrations plan to begin the confiscation of their citizen’s private retirement and banking accounts in order to stave off their nations imminent economic collapse, and after having the US Marshals protecting him removed...
Scary stuff...

VETERAN DEM OPERATIVE INSTRUCTS OBAMA ADMINISTRATION: "They need to deftly pin this on the tea partiers...”

...“Just like the Clinton White House deftly pinned the Oklahoma City bombing on the militia and anti-government people.”

And that's what Clinton did in spite of court records of evidence and witnesses stating that:

1) A Republican Guard member from Iraq accompanied Terry Nichols and Timothy McVeigh on the day of the Oklahoma City bombing

2) Terry Nichols went to the Philippines multiple times and met with terrorists connected to Osama bin Laden

3) The conspiracy was funded by Osama bin Laden

Loughner TARGETED Giffords in 2007...BEFORE Palin and BEFORE Tea Party

Giffords Jewish; shooter read Mein Kampf & Communist Manifesto

Jewish Telegraphic Agency:
Shooter Loughner is currently being held by police and has been described as "unstable." He reportedly listed "Mein Kampf" and the "Communist Manifesto" as two of his favorite books on his MySpace page. Several hours before the shooting he reportedly left a "Goodbye friends" message, which also said "Please don't be mad at me."

Giffords was elected to Congress in the Democratic sweep in 2006. The first Jewish woman elected to Congress from the state, she made her Jewish identity part of her campaign.

“If you want something done, your best bet is to ask a Jewish woman to do it,” said Giffords, a former state senator, said at the time. “Jewish women — by our tradition and by the way we were raised — have an ability to cut through all the reasons why something should, shouldn’t or can’t be done and pull people together to be successful.”

Giffords, 40, was raised "mixed" by a Christian Scientist mother and Jewish father, but said that after a visit to Israel in 2001, she had decided she was Jewish only. She attended services at a local Reform synagogue.

In one of her last photos, she posed with the new U.S. House of Representatives speaker, Rep. John Boehner (R-Ohio) at her swearing in; her hand is on the "Five Books of Moses."

The unseemly rush to blame Sarah Palin, the Tea Party and Republicans for murder in Arizona

UK TELEGRAPH:
Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords of Arizona, by all accounts an outstanding public servant and person, is battling for her life in hospital after being shot by a 22-year-old man at close range at a “Congress On Your Corner” event in her home district. Six people are dead, including a judge and a girl of nine, and a dozen others are being treated for their wounds.

It is, as President Barack Obama said, an “unspeakable tragedy”. It is also, as he added, “a senseless and terrible act of violence has no place in a free society”. That much we know and the President wisely did not seek to make political capital out of the carnage or jump to conclusions about the motivations of the gunman, named as Jared Loughner.

That, of course, hasn’t stopped some on the Left clamouring to blame Sarah Palin, the Tea Party or Republicans in general for what happened.
