New investigation into Obama background spells trouble ahead...

A brand new, in-depth investigation into the background of Barack Obama may spell big trouble ahead regarding the issue of Presidential eligibility.

The investigation was conducted by Northeast Intelligence Network--a team of experienced, professional private investigators whose services have been utilized by Fortune-500 companies. The director, Douglas J. Hagmann, is a 23-year veteran in high-level investigations and is a member of the International Counter-Terrorism Officers Association.

Hagmann's investigation into the background and Constitutional eligibility of Barack Obama to serve as President of the United States is extensive and thorough. His conclusions are stunning...

White people: GO HOME!

We've had a lot of attention focused on the signs of Tea Partiers lately, so, with illegal immigration back in the news, I thought it might be a good time to show you some of the signs that have been waved around at pro-illegal immigration protests in this country.

When you hear the utterly silly and hysterical outcry over the new Arizona immigration law and the demands for a path to citizenship for illegals, understand that the sentiments you see on these signs are undergirding the reaction.
12 Of The Worst Signs From The Pro-Illegal Immigration Protests

Government workers, especially at the federal level, make salaries that are scandalously higher than those paid to private sector workers

With the federal deficit and national debt heading into the stratosphere, taxpayers can no longer afford to support such lucrative government compensation. Public sector pay and benefits at all levels should be reduced to make it comparable to the wages and benefits earned by the average working taxpayer. The first politician to propose a five-year plan for this purpose is likely to be cheered mightily by taxpayers.!

The Oklahoma City bombing was an Arab/Muslim terrorist attack on the United States

The Real Story of the Oklahoma City Bombing

Roger Aronoff, AIM.org

While liberal news outlets such as MSNBC were cynically exploiting the April 19 anniversary of the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing by attempting to tie the terrorist attack to the anti-government sentiments of the modern-day Tea Party movement, investigative reporter Jayna Davis was setting the record straight in an exclusive interview on the AIM radio show, Take AIM. The Oklahoma City bombing was an Arab/Muslim terrorist attack on the United States, she says.

Davis, author of a blockbuster book on the attack, The Third Terrorist, has examined and presented the evidence showing that Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh was in fact a front man for Middle Eastern terrorists. The third terrorist, in addition to the two, McVeigh and Terry Nichols, who were convicted, was an Arab. This was the mysterious "John Doe" who was never found. But other members of an Arab terrorist network were involved, she says.

She says the evidence was ignored and dismissed because the Clinton Administration didn't want to go to war with Iraq, the likely culprit, and wanted to blame the attack on domestic right-wingers for political reasons.

The implications of what Davis has to say are that the case is still unsolved, that the FBI blew it, and that we may still be vulnerable to Arab terrorists infiltrating the U.S. and killing hundreds or thousands of innocent Americans.

Indeed, Davis suggested in her AIM interview that another attack on American soil may be coming, perhaps from the same networks which sponsored McVeigh.

Liberal media like MSNBC have peddled the false notion that McVeigh was motivated by domestic hatred of the government, and that the Tea Party movement is motivated by the same. Hence, by extension, the Tea Party movement will probably spawn anti-government fanatics who will kill people. This claim justifies government repression of anti-Obama political dissidents who may in fact be entirely peaceful and simply exercising their constitutional rights.

One of the problems with the MSNBC narrative is that Davis makes a convincing case that in fact McVeigh "was a handpicked dupe, set up to take the fall in order to save his Islamic collaborators from prosecution." She documents that he had expressed a desire to be a mercenary for Middle Eastern terrorists, and that the trail of evidence that both he and his accomplice Terry Nichols left behind points in the direction of an Arab/Muslim connection to the attack.

Indeed, Davis portrays Oklahoma City as one in a series of attacks engineered by foreign enemies of the United States that includes the 1993 World Trade Center bombing as well as the 9/11 attacks themselves.

Over the years, Accuracy in Media has run numerous stories about Davis, her evidence, and other reports indicating a Middle Eastern connection to the Oklahoma City bombing. Wes Vernon wrote a 2007 AIM Report on the obstacles confronted by Davis as she tried to tell the story in the media, including on television.

The Third Terrorist: The Middle East Connection to the Oklahoma City Bombing

Why is the President of the United States reaching out to a religion--to "the Muslim world"--instead of, say, to the Arab world, which includes Christians, Jews, and secular Muslims?

America's first Muslim-born President (according to Islamic law) is persisting in his odious outreach to organized Islam--an unprecedented initiative aimed at appeasing allegedly moderate Islamists (a concept akin to moderate Nazis or fascists), elevating the so-called Muslim world to the status of a supranational superpower, and downgrading America's Judeo-Christian heritage and the importance and roles of Christianity and Judaism in American life.

Barack the Knife and Dickie the Moocher want an excuse to hike taxes, not cut spending

The two of them pushed spending over a trillion dollars a year higher in the past three years. If they wanted to cut spending, Democrats wouldn’t be passing massive expansions of federal government like ObamaCare and the upcoming cap-and-trade bill. Andy Stern wouldn’t be sitting on that panel to find ways to reduce the bureaucracies that pour dues into his union’s pockets, especially now that his pension and retirement count on boosting membership.

Now that Barack Obama is back in town, the line forms on the Left, babe — to get that taxpayer-funded gravy train rolling.

Journeys to the International Space Station

April 12th marked the 49th anniversary of human spaceflight, when Yuri Gagarin became the first person to orbit the Earth in 1961. At this moment, 13 humans are currently in low-Earth orbit, aboard the International Space Station. Several were already aboard the ISS when a Soyuz TMA-18 brought a fresh crew up from the Baikonur Cosmodrome on April 2nd - they were later joined by the crew of the Space Shuttle Discovery on the 131st shuttle mission to date (only three remaining launches scheduled). NASA recently signed a new deal with Russia for six more round-trips to the ISS, at a cost of $55.8 million per seat. Collected here are recent photos of the Space Station, its current crew, their launch vehicles, and the views from above. (38 photos total)
Please do look at these--they are awesome!

Did Obama commit a "class C" felony?

If a friend or acquaintance posed the question: "Who uses someone else's Social Security number?" how would you answer them? (I was going to say who uses a phony Social Security number, but since Uncle Sam is now recycling Social Security numbers because they are close to running out of them, just about any combination of numbers you put together today will be someone's Social Security number.) Most likely the first thought that would come to your mind when asked that question would be: "An illegal alien." Second would be someone intent on committing identity fraud, since having access to a person's name and Social Security number is like getting the key to their assets. That's why identify theft is a class C felony. Class C felonies, depending on the State in which the crime is committed, carries prison sentences from 10 up to 40 years. In other words, using someone else's Social Security number in order to conceal your own identity or lack of standing as a citizen, is a serious crime although most illegal aliens who are caught using someone else's Social Security number are simply deported.

But what do you do if the guy living in the White House uses Social Security number 042-68-XXXX that was actually issued in the State of Connecticut between 1977 and 1979 to an individual who was born in 1890? Interestingly, the SSN does not appear in the Social Security death index and now has two dates of birth tied to it: Aug. 4, 1961 and the year 1890. As a US Senator, this man used an entirely different Social Security number—282-90-XXXX. It should have been pretty easy for the federal government's paymaster to flag this one since this is the best known person in America. The latter Social Security number was used by Sen. Barack Hussein Obama and the former one was used by Obama when he moved to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. No one in the federal government or, for that matter, in the Social Security Administration seemed to notice the slight discrepancy. A guy with the same name in the Oval Office and the Hart Office Building were using different SSN numbers? Is there a bureaucrat anywhere in Washington, DC who thinks there are two Barack Obama's running around Washington? Okay. It's possible. But, not in the US government—one in the Senate and one in the White House. If there was, everyone in the country would know that. But I guess it would be possible to have "name coincidence" in the District. But, how about 27 of them all named Barack Hussein Obama? That's not like being named John Smith where you have a couple dozen in every phone book in America.

Or that his wife, Michelle Obama, who is a natural born US citizen, has used at least four false SSNs?

Barack Obama believes that enforcing our laws and protecting our borders isn't "fair"

The Gun is Civilization

by Maj. L. Caudill USMC (Ret)
Human beings only have two ways to deal with one another: reason and force. If you want me to do something for you, you have a choice of either convincing me via argument, or force me to do your bidding under threat of force. Every human interaction falls into one of those two categories, without exception. Reason or force, that's it.

In a truly moral and civilized society, people exclusively interact through persuasion. Force has no place as a valid method of social interaction, and the only thing that removes force from the menu is the personal firearm, as paradoxical as it may sound to some.

When I carry a gun, you cannot deal with me by force. You have to use reason and try to persuade me, because I have a way to negate your threat or employment of force.

The gun is the only personal weapon that puts a 100-pound woman on equal footing with a 220-pound mugger, a 75-year old retiree on equal footing with a 19-year old gang banger, and a single guy on equal footing with a carload of drunk guys with baseball bats. The gun removes the disparity in physical strength, size, or numbers between a potential attacker and a defender.

There are plenty of people who consider the gun as the source of bad force equations. These are the people who think that we'd be more civilized if all guns were removed from society, because a firearm makes it easier for a [armed] mugger to do his job. That, of course, is only true if the mugger's potential victims are mostly disarmed either by choice or by legislative fiat--it has no validity when most of a mugger's potential marks are armed.

People who argue for the banning of arms ask for automatic rule by the young, the strong, and the many, and that's the exact opposite of a civilized society. A mugger, even an armed one, can only make a successful living in a society where the state has granted him a force monopoly.

Then there's the argument that the gun makes confrontations lethal that otherwise would only result in injury. This argument is fallacious in several ways. Without guns involved, confrontations are won by the physically superior party inflicting overwhelming injury on the loser.
People who think that fists, bats, sticks, or stones don't constitute lethal force watch too much TV, where people take beatings and come out of it with a bloody lip at worst. The fact that the gun makes lethal force easier works solely in favor of the weaker defender, not the stronger attacker. If both are armed, the field is level.

The gun is the only weapon that's as lethal in the hands of an octogenarian as it is in the hands of a weight lifter. It simply wouldn't work as well as a force equalizer if it wasn't both lethal and easily employable.

When I carry a gun, I don't do so because I am looking for a fight, but because I'm looking to be left alone. The gun at my side means that I cannot be forced, only persuaded. I don't carry it because I'm afraid, but because it enables me to be unafraid. It doesn't limit the actions of those who would interact with me through reason, only the actions of those who would do so by force. It removes force from the equation... and that's why carrying a gun is a civilized act.

By Maj. L. C audill USM C (Ret)
So the greatest civilization is one where all citizens are equally armed and can only be persuaded, never forced.

Groundswell of Support Growing for Anti-Obama Rally

The Birdfeeder

I bought a bird feeder. I hung it on my back porch and filled it with seed. What a beauty of a bird feeder it was, as I filled it lovingly with seed. Within a week we had hundreds of birds taking advantage of the continuous flow of free and easily accessible food.

But then the birds started building nests in the boards of the patio, above the table, and next to the barbecue.

Then came the poop. It was everywhere: on the patio tile, the chairs, the table...everywhere!

Then some of the birds turned mean. They would dive bomb me and try to peck me even though I had fed them out of my own pocket.

And others birds were boisterous and loud. They sat on the feeder and squawked and screamed at all hours of the day and night and demanded that I fill it when it got low on food.

After a while, I couldn't even sit on my own back porch anymore. So I took down the bird feeder and in three days the birds were gone. I cleaned up their mess and took down the nany nests they had built all over the patio.

Soon, the back yard was like it used to be: quiet...serene...and no one demanding their rights to a free meal!

Now let's see. Our government gives out free food, subsidized housing, free medical care and free education, and allows anyone born here to be an automatic Citizen.

Then the illegals came by the tens of thousands. Suddenly our taxes went up to pay for free services; small apartments are housing 5 families; you have to wait 6 hours to be seen by an emergency room doctor; your child's second grade class is behind other schools because over half the class doesn't speak English.

Corn Flakes now come in a bilingual box; I have to 'press one ' to hear my bank talk to me in English, and people waving flags other than 'Old Glory' are squawking and screaming in the streets, demanding more rights and free liberties.

Just my opinion, but maybe it's time for the government to take down the bird feeder.

If you agree, pass it on; if not, just continue cleaning up the poop.

Members from all three branches of the Federal government already know that Barack Hussein Obama is ineligible for the office of President

DC Knows that Obama is Ineligible for Office
What they don’t know is how long it will take for most Americans to figure it out, or what to do about it...But sooner or later, one way or another, Obama will have to answer those questions. One day, the world will know who and what this man is and there will be a day of reckoning like no other in American history.

The longer it takes for that day to arrive, the more dangerous the situation will become. A man not even qualified to hold the office is using that office to destroy the greatest nation on earth. How much patience can the people be expected to display?

B-17: A very nice day last Saturday

Last Saturday (4/17/10) hubby and I went to see this plane and talked to several veterans who flew many missions in these airplanes. One man had even bailed out twice, once over enemy territory and again over the ocean (if Gary heard correctly). These men don't approach you, but will gladly talk at length if you seem interested. All of them had pictures, and boy--they were so handsome!

Gary climbed into the plane with the ladder steps provided, but the men just used to hoist themselves up (they were between 19-26 years of age). He was immediately on his hands and knees (underneath where the pilots sit), then crawled through a "hole" that was so small one man got stuck, and then he was able to stand up (in the gun turret) on the way to the bomb bay.

(I passed on doing this since I'm still recovering from double 'footectomy' and my left knee still hurts from going eyeball to eyball with my cat several years ago ;-)

Note from Gary:
I was absolutlely blown away by how confining the space was on these aircraft...even in the waist gunner area. The ball turret gun enclosure [underside of the plane, called the "lower ball turret"] was so small that only a man of 5' 2'' or less could fit in. I have the feeling that most of the guys who flew the missions were all around 5'8". The image of Gregory Peck in 12 O'Clock High is somewhat suspect now. The Memphis Belle flick is probably more accurate. It's a wonder that anyone got out alive if the plane was hit by anti-aircraft fire. Brave boys all...
A ride cost $425.00 ($399.00 if you're a member) so--sadly--we passed for now, but the "Fly the Fortress" tour (hosted by the Experimental Aircraft Association) will come back here again after touring the United States. The "Aluminum Overcast" is one of the only 14 operable B-17s in the world. The B-17 exhibition is part of EAA's 2010 "Salute to Veterans" tour and a celebration of the 75th anniversary of the B-17.

'White House Caught Altering Stimulus Baseline Projection by 7 Million Jobs

Excerpt from BigGovernment.com
This year 11-year old Jane’s class is studying money and budgets. In September every student wrote down their savings, and what they wanted in savings by the end of school in June. Jane started with $134, but wants to do better and have $137 ($3 more) saved by year’s end. She figures that will be easy, since she will get birthday money in a few months. But now it’s late May, and Jane has only $130, because she spent her birthday money, and then some. What should Jane do in her final report on the savings project?

1.Be honest and admit she didn’t reach her goals of $3 more in savings, totaling $137, due to her spending habits; or
2.Say at the start of the year she only “really” thought she would have $127 saved by year’s end, and claim “success” for ending up with $3 more than that and see if her teacher notices.

How Romney Could Kill the ObamaCare Repeal Movement

Just as John McCain was able to win the Republican nomination in 2008 despite his problems with the conservative base, Romney may be able to overcome his health care record in the primaries. And perhaps there are circumstances under which he could beat Obama by emphasizing economic and foreign policy issues. But win or lose, Romney would not be able to credibly campaign against the national health care law. And as a result, were he the Republican nominee, it would kill the movement to repeal ObamaCare.

We have one chance to save America

The Coming Deficit War
Dick Morris

We predict Republicans will takeover of both Houses of Congress. The question is: Once they achieve power, what will they do with it?

Clearly the dominant issue for the new Congress in 2011 will be how to bring down the deficit. Democrats will, of course favor tax increases, and Republicans will resist them. But drowning out the partisan rhetoric will be the editorial drumbeat from the economic and journalistic establishments that will call for compromise, splitting the difference between the two.

Here is where the Republicans' new congressional majorities must hold the line. Every single GOP member of the House and the Senate must make a firm commitment to oppose any and all tax increases. In the coming congressional and senatorial primaries, it is our duty as voters to support only those Republicans who sign the no-tax pledge of the Americans for Tax Reform.

When Obama took office, he had one paramount goal in mind: to increase the size of the federal government. Socialism is not an epithet or even an economic philosophy. Whether a nation is socialist or not is determined by a single, simple statistic: What percent of the economy (gross domestic product) goes to the public sector? When Obama took office, the U.S. public sector (federal, state and local) spent about 30 percent of GDP. Now it is 36 percent. If Obamacare lives to be fully implemented, it will pass 40 percent.

The United Kingdom has a public sector that accounts for about 40 percent of its economy. Germany is at about 48 percent. France is at 50 percent, and Sweden at 54 percent.

If Obama is allowed to let the public sector expand to 40 percent of our GDP, we will become a European socialist democracy, to our everlasting detriment. We will thereby inherit the sclerosis that afflicts Europe -- permanently high unemployment and low economic growth.

But after his swearing-in, President Obama couldn't say that he was going to raise taxes to move us toward socialism. So, instead, he raised spending to do it and borrowed the money to pay for it. Now, with interest rates set to rise (because the Fed is not printing money as fast as it was), our debt service burden will be so onerous that it will become obvious to everyone that the deficit Obama has created is unsupportable.

Now, we pay an average of 3.5 percent interest on our $12 trillion national debt. That works out to an annual debt service bill of about $400 billion. While large, it's not impossible. Defense spending, for comparison, is $550 billion, Social Security is $400 billion, Medicare is $300 billion, Medicaid about $200 billion.

But, when interest rates rise to 7-8 percent -- as they must now that the Treasury cannot just borrow newly printed money but must get real loans from real lenders to finance its deficit -- the burden will grow to close to $1 trillion, about a quarter of our budget. Put differently, the entire take of personal income taxes in the United States comes to about $900 billion. All of it will go to debt service.

The United States will become just like the subprime mortgage holders who borrowed at low teaser rates only to see their interest grow until they had to sign over their entire paychecks to the mortgage company.

Obama has been expecting this outcome all along. It is how he will achieve socialism in the United States. He will use the pressure his deficit creates to force higher taxes that will permanently expand the public sector.

Ronald Reagan increased the deficit to force liberals to stop spending. Obama has increased it to force conservatives to vote for higher taxes.

Once a spending increase is matched by a tax increase, it lasts forever. That is how Obama plans to move the government's share of the GDP permanently over 40 percent -- into socialist territory.

But the Republicans can and must stop him. By refusing to vote for a tax increase and cutting back Obama's crazy spending, slicing his stimulus package and ratcheting back federal Medicaid payments (by zero funding the increases built into Obamacare), Republicans can cut the deficit without higher taxes.

Indeed, the party should commit to lowering taxes by cutting capital gains levies to stimulate investment, jobs and revenues. The only tax that works economically is a tax cut!

Such a defiant stand, in the face of withering criticism from the media, economists and the Federal Reserve, can only be made by hardy souls. Indeed, such a stance by a Republican Congress will lead to exactly the same sort of government shutdown -- when Obama vetoes the budget -- as discredited the GOP in 1995-1996 and led to Clinton's re-election.

But history will not repeat itself. The Republicans will win this confrontation with the White House. Everybody in America knows that Obama has increased spending out of all proportion. Everyone knows that higher taxes would be devastating. And the Republicans must capitalize on these convictions so deeply held by the vast majority of voters to prevail in the coming deficit wars.

For now, our job as conservatives is to nominate only those Republicans who have taken the pledge not to raise taxes. Some may break their word. But we can be quite sure that those who do not give it in the first place will not hesitate to cooperate with the Democratic tax hikes that spell socialism for America.

New Health Care Reform Law Means Tax Increase for Middle Class

From the Joint Committee on Taxation:
By Jay Heflin - 04/12/10 02:37 PM ET

Taxpayers earning less than $200,000 a year will pay roughly $3.9 billion more in taxes — in 2019 alone — due to healthcare reform, according to the Joint Committee on Taxation, Congress's official scorekeeper.

The new law raises $15.2 billion over 10 years by limiting the medical expense deduction, a provision widely used by taxpayers who either have a serious illness or are older.

Taxpayers can currently deduct medical expenses in excess of 7.5 percent of their adjusted gross income. Starting in 2013, most taxpayers will only be able to deduct expenses greater than 10 percent of AGI. Older taxpayers are hit by this threshold increase in 2017.

Once the law is fully implemented in 2019, the JCT estimates the deduction limitation will affect 14.8 million taxpayers — 14.7 million of them will earn less than $200,000 a year. These taxpayers are single and joint filers, as well as heads of households.

"Loss of this deduction will mean higher taxes for 14.7 million individuals and families making under $200,000 a year in 2019," Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) told The Hill. "The new subsidy for health insurance would not be available to offset this tax increase for most of these households."

The healthcare law contains tax breaks for individuals purchasing health insurance, but the breaks phase out for those making $88,000 a year.

Grassley, the ranking member on the tax-writing Senate Finance Committee, voted against the health reform bill.

Couples earning less than $250,000 will also nicked by the tax, but the exact number is unclear. The JCT lumps this income level in with those making at least $500,000. It estimates that 58,000 taxpayers earning between $200,000 and $500,000 annually will pay $74 million more in taxes in 2019.

About 5,000 taxpayers earning over $500,000 a year will pay $43 million more in tax because of the limitation.

Erin Shields, a spokesperson for Senate Finance Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.), told The Hill that looking just at the tax increase is "misleading and dishonest" since it "only accounts for a sliver of the whole pie."

"Health reform will lower premiums and cap out-of-pocket costs families pay when someone gets sick, which addresses the reason the medical expense tax deduction was created in the first place," she said.

When asked, Shields did not say the information in the article was inaccurate. Her comments were added to the story after its original posting.

The JCT figures were supplied to The Hill by Senate Republican staffers. The numbers were calculated in December but have not been materially altered. The JCT does not comment to the press on its calculations.

President Barack Obama in his Saturday radio address said the healthcare law keeps his campaign pledge to not raise taxes on the middle class. In his bid for the White House, he promised that individuals earning less than $200,000 and joint filers earning less than $250,000 would not see a tax increase under his watch.

Former New York Governor takes on Obamacare

It would appear that Google or someone infiltrating its search engine is attempting to thwart the public’s ability to learn about Pataki’s new initiative, as almost every title which appears after asking for the search contains the “warning,” “This site may harm your computer.” Therefore, the research for this article was completed using the Ixquick search engine.

Can the federal government dictate how doctors treat their patients?

From WSJ:
Eighteen states are challenging the constitutionality of the Obama health law. Their challenge focuses on whether the federal government can require everyone to buy coverage. They gloss over an issue more consequential to our health and longevity: Can the federal government dictate how doctors treat their patients?

NATIONAL ASSEMBLY

OFFICIAL REPORT

Thursday, 25th March, 2010

“The other thing that we are addressing through devolution is exclusion. What has made us suffer as a nation is exclusion. Once people feel excluded, even when you want to employ a policeman or constable or you want to build a dispensary, it must come from the centre. In the colonial days, these things were being done on the ground and they could give bursaries and build roads. I commend devolution. Those who fear devolution are living in the past. They are being guided by their ethnic consideration and objectives.

They are living in the past. If America was living in a situation where they feared ethnicity and did not see itself as a multiparty state or nation, how could a young man born here in Kenya, who is not even a native American, become the President of America? It is because they did away with exclusion. What has killed us here is exclusion; that once Mr. Orengo is President, I know of no other place than Ugenya. That is why we were fighting against these many Presidencies in the past. I hope that Kenya will come of age. This country must come of age. People want freedom and nations want liberation, but countries want independence.”

From WORLD NET DAILY: Kenyan official: Obama born here

Insurers go on strike after Deval Patrick imposes price controls

From WSJ:
This week it became impossible in Massachusetts for small businesses and individuals to buy health-care coverage after Governor Deval Patrick imposed price controls on premiums. Read on, because under ObamaCare this kind of political showdown will soon be coming to an insurance market near you.

The Massachusetts small-group market that serves about 800,000 residents shut down after Mr. Patrick kicked off his re-election campaign by presumptively rejecting about 90% of the premium increases the state's insurers had asked regulators to approve. Health costs have run off the rails since former GOP Governor Mitt Romney and Beacon Hill passed universal coverage in 2006, and Mr. Patrick now claims price controls are the sensible response to this ostensibly industry greed.

Yet all of the major Massachusetts insurers are nonprofits. Three of largest four—Blue Cross Blue Shield, Tufts Health Plan and Fallon Community Health—posted operating losses in 2009. In an emergency suit heard in Boston superior court yesterday, they argued that the arbitrary rate cap will result in another $100 million in collective losses this year and make it impossible to pay the anticipated cost of claims. It may even threaten the near-term solvency of some companies. So until the matter is resolved, the insurers have simply stopped selling new policies.

A court decision is expected by Monday...

How the left is planning on destroying the Tea Party

Here it is:
It's amazing that these people can't tolerate differing opinions and want to spend their time in such negative pursuits, but this has always been the hallmark of the totalitarian mind. Judge them by their fruits...and by their leaders.

Nothing good has come from them, and nothing resembling what a free nation is supposed to be.

Tea Partiers are disgusted at the trend of increasing government control over people's lives and we all know that it has been going on a long time. In that respect, perhaps the citizens of this country can be faulted, but critical mass has now been reached and there is no turning back.

Their plan will make things more difficult, perhaps, but will not stop us.

What will they do, pretend to be conservatives and run for office? I don't think any of these type of people are smart enough for that!

A Complete List Of Bad Things Attributed To Global Warming

Boy, this would be funny if it weren't for the fact that politicians were (and still are!) trying to use this hoax to fleece their supposedly (wishful thinking?) docile flocks!

Is it possible that the Director of Health, Dr. Chiyome Fukino, granted Obama a “Certification of Live Birth” sometime in 2006 or later when he was planning to run for president?

It's the cover-up that always gets 'em (think "Watergate"). This is a cover-up in progress as we speak:
[Director of Health, Dr. Chiyome] Fukino is the only person in the United States to affirm that Obama was born in Hawaii. No hospital, doctor, nurse, witness or other individual has come forward to corroborate her story.

VAT: the end of economic freedom as we know it

The reason why elites in Washington would look to a VAT before increasing income taxes (and, believe me, higher income taxes are coming) is because not enough of the population even pays income taxes to make it worthwhile for the government to use the income tax structure to balance the budget... the government can extract the most amount of your wealth from a national sales tax.

Secession: the elephant in the room

Walter E. Williams:
Americans who wish to live free have several options. We can submit to those who have constitutional contempt and want to run our lives. We can resist, fight and risk bloodshed and death in an attempt to force America's tyrants to respect our liberties and human rights. We can seek a peaceful resolution of our irreconcilable differences by separating. Some independence movements, such as our 1776 war with England and our 1861 War Between the States, have been violent, but they need not be. In 1905, Norway seceded from Sweden; Panama seceded from Columbia (1903), and West Virginia from Virginia (1863). Nonetheless, violent secession can lead to great friendships. England is probably our greatest ally.

The bottom-line question for all of us is: Should we part company or continue trying to forcibly impose our wills on one another?
PARTING COMPANY

When "NO" means "YES"

A majority of citizens are shouting "No," from the rooftops. No! to ObamaCare. No! to socialism. No! to trashing the Constitution.

And yet, to Obama and the Left, the assertion of "No" does not matter. Smug and entitled, drunk with power and giddy when they see our fear, they take what they want anyway.
THE RAPE OF AMERICA

It appears the independent center of American politics has shifted decisively to the right as the Tea Party has grown during the past year

It turns out as well that Tea Partiers aren't exclusively conservatives or Republicans. The Winston Group has done perhaps the most extensive polling among voters who identify themselves as Tea Partiers, and found that "57 percent of Tea Party members called themselves Republicans, another 28 percent said they were independents, and 13 percent were Democrats. Two-thirds of Tea Party members identify as conservatives but 26 percent say they are moderate and 8 percent described themselves as liberal." As for those allegedly growing threats of violence by Tea Partiers, no less an authority than Internal Revenue Service Commissioner Douglas Shulman said this week that "no, the threat has not increased." He added that much of what has been written in the media about such threats "actually is not accurate." Since the IRS has a unit that tracks such tracks, if anybody would know about growing anti-government violence, surely it would be the head tax man.

Why Obama cannot be a natural born Citizen

A LEGAL ANALYSIS OF U.S. CITIZENSHIP
by Jim Delaney
(Apr. 5, 2010) — Obama, born in 1961 of a U.S. Citizen mother and a British Citizen (born in Kenya) father, was born a “U.S. Citizen” by virtue of his mother’s U.S. Citizenship; however, since Obama’s father was not a U.S. Citizen and thus not “attached to the U.S.,” Obama, even if born of a U.S. Citizen mother within the jurisdiction of the United States, is not, by definition and Constitutional intent, a “natural born Citizen” as is specifically required by Article II, Section 1 (the Presidential Clause) of the U.S. Constitution, and is, therefore, ineligible to serve as President.

British citizenship was conferred to Obama at birth by act of British law. Thus, he is born of dual citizenship.

How much taxation is enough?

First of all, you can be sure that IT'S NEVER ENOUGH for the Progressives that are in charge of our country now. My own father-in-law, in an argument (to show his committment to high taxes) once said he'd go for 100%--and he wasn't really kidding.

‘Tea Partiers’ understand the link between taxes and freedom. Somehow, liberals just don’t get it.

ANTI-OBAMA BILLBOARDS GO VIRAL

Who's Behind the Anti-Obama Billboards?

www.billboardsagainstobama.com

I'm dealing with another episode of Blogger.com's "labels" folly...suddenly, as happened once before at the end of 2009, I am not able to add new labels (or tags) at the bottom of each post which is a huge downer since politics and current events always require new names and labels. Without labels, the posts will not be searchable so then, why blog?

Google is well known for their support of our current, disastrous excuse for a president and there was a time during the campaign where anti-Obama blogs were being disabled due to "complaints". There was a enough of an uproar to cause them to be reinstated.

But in this case, any political blogger will suffer so I just don't get it. I am seriously considering just moving to Wordpress because this is getting ridiculous, but I really don't want to abandon the database I've built up here.

We first discovered this place when we watched the Robert Altman movie where it was featured in a scene where Tim Robbins and his date escaped Hollywood to dine on the patio while a beautiful couple slipped, naked, into the natural Hot Spring grotto...

We've been coming ever since :-)

(My husband just asked, in horror: "Are you BLOGGING???"

I asked him how he knew that I was and he said he heard me typing...I asked: "So is it against the law to type now???"

And so it goes :)

Today, On Good Friday, Here's Why I Remain Catholic

April 2, 2010

Elizabeth Scalia is a contributing writer to First Things Magazine as the blogger known as The Anchoress.

The question has come my way several times in the past week: "How do you maintain your faith in light of news stories that bring light to the dark places that exist within your church?"

When have darkness and light been anything but co-existent? How do we recognize either without the other?

I remain within, and love, the Catholic Church because it is a church that has lived and wrestled within the mystery of the shadow lands ever since an innocent man was arrested, sentenced and crucified, while the keeper of "the keys" denied him, and his first priests ran away. Through 2,000 imperfect — sometimes glorious, sometimes heinous — years, the church has contemplated and manifested the truth that dark and light, innocence and guilt, justice and injustice all share a kinship, one that waves back and forth like wind-stirred wheat in a field, churning toward something — as yet — unknowable.

The darkness within my church is real, and it has too often gone unaddressed. The light within my church is also real, and has too often gone unappreciated. A small minority has sinned, gravely, against too many. Another minority has assisted or saved the lives of millions.

But then, my country is the most generous and compassionate nation on Earth; it is also the only country that has ever deployed nuclear weapons of mass destruction.

My government is founded upon a singular appreciation of personal liberty; some of those founders owned slaves.

My family was known for its neighborliness and its work ethic; its patriarch was a serial child molester.

The child molester was also a brilliant, generous, talented man — the only person who ever read me a bedtime story. I will love him forever, for that, even when I wake up gasping and afraid.

I am a woman with very generous instincts, and I try to love everyone, but I am capable of corrosive scorn. Have I been much sinned against? Yes. So have you. Have I sinned against others? Oh, yes. So have you.

Like a pebble cast into a pond, our every action ripples out toward the edges, reaching farther than we intended, touching what we do not even know, for good and for ill. It all either means nothing, or it means everything.

As a Catholic, I believe it means everything.

That doesn't mean I do not suffer for the sins of my church; we people in the pews are roiling with feelings of betrayal, shame, revulsion.

Having survived sexual abuse in the family and the public schools, I identify deeply with the pain, the sense of powerlessness and abandonment that the victims of some of our priests and administers have endured. I grieve for them — and for my church, and for my pope, and for all of the countless good priests and religious who are tarnished by the actions of a depraved minority.

I am saddened beyond words to know that these very real sins of commission and omission will repel people, who will miss the consolations of the church in light, out of concern for its shadows.

But the painful and incomplete news stories that have dominated this Holy Week helpfully illustrate how and why I am able to continue on in faith. Particularly during the Easter Triduum, we are thrust deeply into the crucifixion narrative of the Gospels. There, on the wood of the cross, we encounter Jesus, son of Mary, who knew shame, betrayal, abandonment, scorn, jeering, ridicule, unimaginable pain and sorrow, and submitted to them, in order to draw us into a consoling embrace that says, "I know what you are feeling; I know what you are thinking. You tortured ones, you shamed ones, you innocent ones, you slandered ones; I am the One who knows, and we are actually all in this together, and quite outside of time."

I want my church to shine. But I understand that everything, from our institutions to our innermost beings, are seen through a glass, darkly. Arms outstretched, listening for the Word, and its echoing liturgy, I make my way forward, in bright hope.
