Do you have "prepper amnesia"?

It is almost as if most people have forgotten what happened during the last financial crisis.  2008 may as well be ancient history for most Americans.
None of the underlying problems that plagued the U.S. economy back then have been fixed.
For example. . .

Just in case you thought you couldn't afford to get prepared for any future emergencies:

First DHS buys up all the ammo...now FEMA's trying to stock up on huge quantities of food

So what the hell is really going on here?
I’m not one to cry that the sky is always falling, but when DHS/FEMA make a move to quietly buy up emergency food supplies and ask how much we can ship within 24 hours…I think this is far enough outside the realm of what is “normal” to beg some questions.

Fortunately I’ve been in this business long enough to predict what happens next. One or more of the other “survival companies” out there will inevitably see a chance to make a quick buck from Uncle Sam (which is really paid for by us, the taxpayer). This could create a run on many of the core raw ingredients used by emergency food makers that will cause a ripple effect throughout the industry as supply chains become bottle-necked handling the FEMA/DHS request.”

This is extremely disturbing to know.

What is the government gearing up for? A major disaster or war they know is coming?

CAFFEINE

Limit your caffeine as much as possible so that you’ll be able to reach the deeper levels of sleep. Caffeine has a half-life of 6 hours That means that if you have 200 mg of coffee at noon, approximately 100 mg will still be in your system at 6PM and 50 mg at midnight. Regardless of whether you think your body is immune to caffeine or not, it does negatively impact your sleep. Since sleep is one of the primary tools that the body uses to build and recharge the immune system, this can’t be over-emphasized. If you need lots of caffeine to function, it’s a warning sign of a sleep deficit. If you are able to go to sleep immediately after consuming caffeine, it’s most often an indication of exhaustion and/or a blood sugar issue, and the negative effect on deep sleep remains.

Underground

"Modern preppers are much different from the survivalists of the old days," he said. "You could be living next door to a prepper and never even know it. Many suburbanites are turning spare rooms into food pantries and are going for survival training on the weekends."
