Ramadan, the West Wing tarp, and ritual sacrifice: where are the animal rights groups now?

To begin with, many people are wondering: Why is Obama honoring Ramadan? which began on or around August 11, 2010 and will finish on or around September 10, 2010. . .not to mention all the people who are wondering why there is also a mysterious white tarp covering the West Wing!!!

As seen from the Rose Garden, The West Wing of the White House is covered in white tarp Sunday, Aug. 15, 2010.

A tarp covers the West Wing of the White House in Washington, DC, August 16, 2010, as maintenance work, including power washing, is completed as US President Barack Obama travels the next few weeks.

Has he been gone continuously? Or does he just go back and forth???

Now, here is an interesting--but not happy--story [H/T: Carpe Diem] coming out of Maryland about a farm which caters to some of the literally thousands of Muslim immigrants in the Washington area: Business caters to Muslim immigrants seeking to fulfill ritual animal sacrifices
As Ramadan approached last week, Muslim immigrants preparing for their pre-holiday feast sacrificed goats in halal slaughterhouses -- those that conform to Islamic law -- family farms and their garages. . .
. . .or wherever they are able.
This budding sub-sector of the meat industry caters to Muslims who want to follow their faith's rules -- to be certain that the animal has been slaughtered humanely with a knife to the throat, that the animal is pointed toward Mecca and that it dies as the slaughterer recites a prayer.

Since the 1980s, the number of goats slaughtered for their meat has more than quintupled, according to the U.S. Agriculture Department. Many of those goats are killed not in mass slaughterhouses but in quiet ceremonies on farms and in back yards. . .
Or the West Wing?
To avoid the messy nature of on-farm slaughter, many customers take home live animals and slaughter them in residential bathtubs and garages. "We hold the animal on the garage floor and make sure the blood goes into the drain or the bushes," said Waqar Farhat, who grew up slaughtering animals in the hallway of his home in Pakistan.

Some of Farhat's friends slaughter goats in their showers. "But they clean up very well afterwards," he said.
Oh, do they powerwash?

What religion do people think Obama really is? Poll: Growing Number Believe Obama Is Muslim

By the way, these are the last words all the animals hear from their human slaughterers:
"Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar: Allah is the greatest."

Bearing it all

Mark Mosley captured a small drop from the ocean of truth encompassing this profound act of infinite sacrifice...
Jesus bore the sins of the Assyrians, who gloated over the captives they had skinned alive; the sins of SS troops, machine-gunning women and children running from burning synagogues with clothing ablaze.

Jesus bore the sins of child molesters, making sure their victims never have to testify; the sins of the Pharaohs, sacrificing thousands of laborers' lives, to build themselves deifying tombs.

Jesus was tossed about in these endless storms: enraged fathers beating toddlers to death; pimps seducing runaways into lives of drugs and prostitution; church ladies cannibalizing other church ladies over coffee; Canaanites throwing their children to Moloch, their sun god; impoverished parents in China selling their children into slavery.

Jesus bore the sins of embezzlers; gangsters; bullies; rapists; liars; the indifferent; the sadistic; the self-righteous Bible-believing leaders praying long and loud, while their wives sat in back pews praying that heavy make-up covered their bruises.

It is a scene of unbearable horror and unspeakable madness. He is the accused for us all, bearing the weight of abused children; families destroyed by adultery or apathy; civilizations decaying; wars ravaging victims. Yet, through it all, deep in the terror of hell, He keeps His eyes wide open.

He is not just a bystander caught in the accident; He has come deliberately. He will accept it all, absorbing the full force of this storm of wrath in His body, His mind, His heart, and His soul, until there is nothing left to feel.

Finally, the tumbling will slow a bit; the storm will slacken, and Jesus will lift Himself on His nailed feet to snatch a gasp of air and force His swollen tongue to shout, "It is finished—I've come; I've seen; I've paid for it all."
2 Corinthians 5:21 - He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

The Obama White House has held one party every three days in first year of Obama's reign!

Back in January 2009, before he signed his failed $787 billion stimulus bill into law, Barack Obama told America that everyone must sacrifice for the greater good.

Obama opens new era of recklessness

The miraculous marketing machine that carried a junior senator into the White House is now at work trying to convince Americans that writing fat checks from an empty Treasury represents a giant step toward fiscal responsibility.

President Barack Obama has sent Congress a $3.6 trillion federal spending plan that outlines his administration's priorities.

It starts out $1.75 trillion in the red, the largest deficit by any measure in the nation's history. But because he's Barack Obama and everything he does must be chiseled in stone and handed down from the mountaintop, he's proclaimed this first budget as ringing in a "New Era of Responsibility."

Call it the Audacity of Hype. The president, casting himself as the somber task master of a frivolous people, is demanding sacrifice of every American. But there's little sacrifice in his budget.
