Who puts quotes on rugs, anyway?

Hey, remember that botched rug quotation from Obama's dandy new Oval Office digs last week?

Turns out, pretty much nobody puts quotations on rugs except...MUSLIMS!!!

Many Middle Eastern flags have words or sayings on them as well as being embroidered in their rugs, too. (So do jewelry and decorative boxes.) They really like to mix words and sayings with design items--mostly having to do with Allah.

From what I have heard, this is quite peculiar to Muslim countries in the Middle East.

The quotes really make it unique compared to previous Oval Office rugs," Van Kaaften said.

No shit.

Speaking of rugs:
Farmer talked to an Arizona rancher who didn't want to be identified because he's afraid of the Mexican cartels who smuggle drugs near his property. He said he found a Muslim prayer rug on his ranch. "This is one more indication that there is a whole lot more than just a few Mexicans coming into the U.S.".
