You can check out, but you can never leave

Thanks to the Los Angeles Times blog, Political Muscle, we know the latest crazy idea from the Democrats. If you have made more than $20 million, you will not be allowed to leave the State without paying a FINE. Not a typo. How about this part, if the Initiative passes, the State of California would buy a majority position in Exxon Mobil, Chevron Corp., General Motors Corp., and Ford Motor Co. Of course that could cost north of $100 billion..yet the source of the purchase price is not noted in the measure.

These folks promoting this are not socialists or communists, they are seriously ill. Looks like they had a party one night, drank "Thunderchicken" (that is what we in the Army called Thunderbird Wine), got some bad weed and got sick inhaling from an aerosol can. That can be the only reason for the theft of private property envisioned by this measure.Obviously, the sponsors have "money envy" problems.
