Baltimore Rioters Burned Down This Man’s Home, Now He “Ain’t Got a Place to Live”

After embers from a nearby fire floated into his home, Baltimore resident Edward Murray, who has lived in the city for 62 years, was forced to evacuate.

In an exclusive interview, Murray condemned the violence and delivered a message from Baltimore residents to the world:

“Why burn down your neighborhood when you’re supposed to take care of your neighborhood?

Now I ain’t got a place to live … I lost my stuff. My wife is in the hospital. I don’t know how they did it, or why they did it.

Stop thinking black people are violent and destructive, because we not. What’s going on out here is not what God wants. It’s people that don’t care about the city, only care for what they’re doing, is what is happening.

This community was rising. This community was about to thrive again. We want the world to understand that we don’t condone this.”

PERRY - FIORINA 2016

Why I'm Supporting Rick Perry - By Jamie Johnson

Following the disastrous presidency of an inexperienced first-term senator with great speaking ability, America needs three things in the next president of the United States: (1) a strong chief executive, (2) a strong commander-in-chief, and (3) a strong moral leader.

By a strong chief executive, I mean someone who has actually run a government; someone who has created a civic climate for job growth, business growth, and personal income growth; someone who has tackled the problems of over-taxation, over-regulation, and over-litigation; someone who has forged a legacy of prosperity and opportunity that is a model for good government.

By a strong commander-in-chief, I mean someone who has actually worn the uniform of our country; someone who knows what it means to command a military force; someone who our allies will trust and our enemies will fear; someone who will put freedom on the offensive.

By a strong moral leader, I mean someone who will defend life, marriage, and religious liberty; someone who will champion every freedom in the Bill of Rights; someone who will lead with humility, integrity, and honor; someone who will never forget where he came from, nor the Bible’s command to do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly before God.

Former Texas Governor Rick Perry is all three of these things. In fact, of all the good people (and there are several) who are considering a run for the presidency, he is the only one who qualifies as being all three.

First, Rick Perry is a strong chief executive. For the last 14 years he has been the most successful executive in America. He has not been running a business or a senate staff; he has been running a state—a state of 27 million people, the second largest state in the nation, the 13th largest economy in the world. And his record of job growth, business growth, and personal income growth is not only second-to-none, it is unparalleled in our time. Simply put, Rick Perry has been the most successful American governor in the last 100 years.

Second, Rick Perry is a strong commander-in-chief. As a captain in the U.S. Air Force, as a pilot who flew C-130 tactical airlift in Europe and the Middle East, as the commander-in-chief of the largest state military force in the nation (the Texas National Guard), Rick Perry has proven beyond any doubt that he will do what is necessary to secure America’s borders, rebuild America’s military, and renew America’s leadership in the world.

Third, Rick Perry is a strong moral leader. He has valiantly defended life, marriage, and religious liberty; he has championed every freedom in the Bill of Rights; and he has never forgotten his humble roots—growing up on a dryland cotton farm, in a home without running water, 16 miles from the nearest post office—where he learned what it truly means to “love God and love thy neighbor.”

Rick Perry is not a show horse; he’s a work-horse. He’s not about rhetoric; he’s about results. He doesn’t just talk about liberty; he’s put his life on the line to defend it. More than any other person considering a run for the presidency, Governor Rick Perry, who has given 30 years of public service to his country, is the most qualified and best prepared person to lead the United States of America.

35 books everyone should read at least once in their lifetime

Wow! I've actually read fifteen of these!!

Seriously, a list is nice every once-in-awhile because it broadens our perspective and gets us out of ruts.

Here's the list (provided by Megan Whillett on April 23, 2015 at Business Insider):

I must mention this, however: If you love America AS FOUNDED, and find that 100 years of progressive education has broken your heart and stolen your children, you MUST read these books and give them to everyone in your family and donate them to schools if you are able.

 Soft tyranny and you

The government has set a standard of tyranny against you that those who disagree with you can and will prevent you from having a job. Your free speech is OK so long as you keep it to yourself.  Do you ever feel like you have an opinion and yet uneasy about expressing it? Do you think that as a Christian, it is better to not express your views on morality in public forums? Have you felt any kind of reservation about what you do and say could be listened to by the government, so you watch your words? Are there just certain issues that you don't talk about much anymore because the response is so visceral and examples have been made of those who say something?  It's selective free speech. It's soft tyranny.

Alexis de Tocqueville defines soft tyranny in his book Democracy in America, Volume II (1840): "It [the government] covers the surface of society with a network of small, complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence: it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd."

If you are afraid to speak your mind because of the consequences of perhaps losing your job, your livelihood, or that it may invite some government investigation or ruination, you are a victim of soft tyranny.  Galatians 5:1 says, "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage." A free people can only exist by adhering to the precepts of God. Bondage is bondage, whether it is sin or tyranny. We live in a society where a very vocal minority is bullying your Constitutional rights. Moreover, eternally these people face great peril. Isaiah 5:20 says, "Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness..."

We must speak boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel. Even though many respond with hatred and accuse you based on the very intents of their own hearts, they will not know the truth unless someone tells them. We would not know sin had we not known the laws of God. Don't be a victim of soft tyranny. Right is greater than might. As Ephesians 6:12-13 says, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against power, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." Soft tyranny is evil. Stand against it.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

In case you didn't already know about the "Fistgate" conference:

GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network) is a national homosexual organization that targets children in the public schools, and has formed "gay straight alliance" clubs in schools across the country. Jennings was the Executive Director of GLSEN at the time and was the keynote speaker at this conference!]

Free Speech in Peril

Myron Magnet, City Journal:
Well-funded Stasi-like groups such as UnKochMyCampus, reports the Wall Street Journal’s Kimberley Strassel, are already at work, seeking “trusted informants” among faculty and students to target and harass the few remaining conservative professors whose thought runs counter to “progressive values” and might “undermine environmental protection, worker’s rights, health care expansion, and quality education.”

Why did Obama conceal the identity of his mentor before he ran for president?

Barack Hussein Obama identifies Frank Marshall Davis by name.

The leaked footage below shows the young future president on his book tour at the Cambridge Public Library. The Barack Obama in this 1995 clip isn’t just open about who “Frank” is, he also proudly explains how the man “schooled” him on how racist white people are. Watch him explain why someone who considers this worldview as being “paranoid” is just as terrible as calling him the n-word.

Here’s the full video of Obama’s alarming speech, you just have to see this! America NEEDS to see this!
VIDEO

In an extraordinary development, film of Obama explicitly and openly identifying “Frank” as Frank Marshall Davis has suddenly surfaced on the Internet. It is described as having been recorded on September 20,1995, with the program originally airing on Channel 37 Cambridge Municipal Television as an episode of the show “The Author Series.” Obama admits the mysterious “Frank” from his book Dreams from my Father is indeed the communist Frank Marshall Davis. But Obama does NOT say Davis was a communist. America’s Survival, Inc. President Cliff Kincaid discusses the significance of this discovery.

The author of “The Communist” Paul Kengor talks with Cliff Kincaid of America’s Survival about the media cover-up of Frank Marshall Davis, Barack Obama’s communist Party mentor.

The Death of the Left

Daniel Greenfield, FRONTPAGE MAG:
The left is winning, but for the left winning is indistinguishable from dying. The West didn’t defeat Communism; it held it at bay long enough for it to defeat itself. The Soviet Union and the People’s Republic of China crushed Communism more decisively than Goldwater could have ever dreamed of.
The embargo didn’t turn Cuba into a hellhole whose main tourism industry is inviting progressive Canadian pedophiles to rape its children. Castro did that with help from the dead guy on the red t-shirts.
“One of the greatest benefits of the revolution is that even our prostitutes are college graduates,” Castro told Oliver Stone. In real life, his prostitutes are lucky if they graduated from elementary school.
American admirers eager to get to Havana claim to be worried that Starbucks will ruin their Socialist paradise. What really worries them is that American businesses might give Cuban teens an economic alternative to sexually servicing decrepit leftists from Berkeley for $10 a night in the revolutionary version of Thailand where everyone is free, especially the political prisoners and raped children.
There’s no embargo to blame in Venezuela. Hugo Chavez destroyed his own Bolivarian revolution by implementing it. The Venezuelan economic collapse really took off while Obama was in the White House leafing through the tract Chavez had gifted him blaming America for all of Latin America’s troubles.
Now Chavez, the tract’s author and the Venezuelan economy are all dead.
Chavez’s successor has desperately tried to blame America for his crisis, but Uncle Sam had nothing to do with the lack of toilet paper in the stores, the milk rationing and the soldiers stationed outside electronics retailers. It’s just what happens when the left wins.
When the man in the White House wanted a Latin American revolution to succeed, it still failed.
The left is at its best when it’s trying to take power. It unleashes its egocentric creative impulses, it writes poems, plays and songs as its heroes die in doomed battles or pump their fists at protests. And then they win, get rich and fat, the people grow poor and the country becomes a miserable dictatorship. Try putting a 300 pound Che on a t-shirt. Or get inspired by Obama lazily playing golf.
A successful leftist revolution quickly becomes indistinguishable from an ordinary oligarchy. Millions may die, but decades later all that’s left is a vast pointless bureaucracy that runs on family connections, an ideology no one understands anymore and an impoverished population ripe for outside exploitation.

The left rams through its ideology by force and when the ideology is gone, all that’s left is the force.
Now that the left has gotten its way in America, crushing its enemies, the excitement is gone. . .

DIVINE MERCY

Jesus to Saint Faustina:  Involuntary offenses of souls do not hinder My love for them or prevent Me from uniting Myself with them. But voluntary offenses, obstruct my graces, and I cannot lavish My gifts on such souls. (1641).

HotAir.com - Sunday reflection: John 20:19–31
Today the Catholic Church and some Anglican communities celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday, instituted by St. John Paul II on the basis of the visions of St. Faustina Kowalska. The first occasion of the celebration took place 15 years ago, on the same day St. Faustina was canonized. One year later, St. John Paul II reminded celebrants at the second celebration that the feast of Divine Mercy emphasizes the message of Easter:
Jesus said to St. Faustina one day: “Humanity will never find peace until it turns with trust to Divine Mercy.” Divine Mercy! This is the Easter gift that the Church receives from the risen Christ and offers to humanity.
The Passion of Jesus Christ was the central event of divine mercy, of course.

How to win

Democrats, leftists, progressives, liberals and collectivists have all mastered this game, but its most tragic and inexplicable success has played out in the United States, whose legendary freedom was gained at great sacrifice. Renowned economist Thomas Sowell points out the horrifying simplicity of the deception.

Remember the stimulus?

Obama promised his failed Stimulus plan would create 3 million jobs. He lied. The stimulus ended up costing taxpayers $278,000 for each job created.

When everything is a crime

George Will, Washington Post:
Overcriminalization, says professor Reynolds, deepens the dangers of “a dynamic in which those charged with crimes have a lot at risk, while those doing the charging have very little ‘skin in the game.’ ” With a vast menu of crimes from which to choose, prosecutors can “overcharge” a target, presenting him or her with the choice between capitulation-through-plea-bargain or a trial with a potentially severe sentence.
Given the principle — which itself should be reconsidered — of prosecutorial immunity, we have a criminal justice system with too many opportunities for generating defendants, too few inhibitions on prosecutors and ongoing corrosion of the rule and morality of law. Congress, the ultimate cause of all this, has work to undo.

California’s Water Crisis – Get Out While You Can

Get out of California while you still can! It will be America’s first “failed State” very, very soon. I am talking to all my CollapseNet friends, family and subscribers here, and I mean every word. Thirty-nine million people surrounded by hundreds of miles of mostly uninhabitable desert…think on that for a while, but not too long. Get your plans in place and put them in action, because this is very real and it is happening right now, albeit in what appears to be slow-motion. That will change faster every week that goes past.

If you live in California, especially in SoCal, you need to pack your shit and move while there are still enough idiots left to buy your property!

I love California, but its fate cannot be more clear. The entire continent and world economy WILL be impacted hard by California’s drawdown (or die-off, if you prefer), but if you live there right now, this is a matter of imminent survival within the coming months.

California will be the world’s most massive demonstration of climate refugees, occurring in the wealthiest and most industrialized nation, but one that STILL HAS NO MEANS to absorb even a significant fraction of the people who are and will be displaced by Liebig’s Law of the Minimum (here, water) from California in the immediate future.

Mother Nature always bats last, hits hardest, and wins.

Anybody have a better plan than to GTFO? Your government doesn’t have one, that’s for certain.

Assuming that a company operates 365 days a year, here’s a question about profits: How many days of sales in a calendar year does it take to cover all of a company’s annual expenses (labor, rent, cost of goods, utilities, property taxes, income taxes, interest payments, advertising, etc.), and then how many days of sales would represent the company’s profits?

JOHN 19:30

Why the "peaceful majority" are irrelevant

Lebanese-born Brigitte Gabriel, an Arab-American Christian and founder of ACT! For America explains why the “peaceful majority” are irrelevant:
“So why should we worry about the radicals, 15 to 20 percent? Because it is the radicals that kill. Because it is the radicals that behead and massacre. When you look throughout history, when you look at all the lessons of History, most Germans were peaceful, yet the Nazis drove the agenda. And as a result, 60 million died, 14 million in concentration camps. Six million were Jews. The peaceful majority were irrelevant. When you look at Russia, most Russians were peaceful as well. Yet the Russians were able to kill 20 million people. The peaceful majority were irrelevant. When you look at China, most Chinese were peaceful as well. Yet, the Chinese (Communists) were able to kill 70 million people. The peaceful majority were irrelevant. When you look at Japan, prior to World War II, most Japanese were peaceful as well, yet Japan was able to butcher its way across Southeast Asia, killing 12 million people mostly killed with bayonets and shovels. The peaceful majority were irrelevant. On Sept. 11th in the United States we had 2.3 million Arab Muslims living in the United States. It took 19 hijackers, 19 radicals, to bring America down to its knees, destroy the World Trade Center, attack the Pentagon, and kill almost 3,000 Americans that day. The peaceful majority were irrelevant.”

EVIL

"Tolerance becomes a crime when applied to evil."
Thomas Mann (1875-1955)

"The world is a dangerous place to live, not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it."
Albert Einstein (1879-1955)

“Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”
Dietrich Bonhoeffer (1906-1945)

"He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it. He who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it."

Martin Luther King (1929-1968)

Thursday, April 02, 2015

My developing theory is that the important shaping of Obama’s character is connected to Indonesia, as much as or more than either Hawaii or Chicago.

Time magazine described it this way: “Communists, Red sympathizers and their families are being massacred by the thousands…Army units executed thousands after interrogation in remote jails. Armed with wide-blade knives called parangs, Moslem bands crept at night into the homes of Communists, killing entire families, burying the bodies in shallow graves. The murder campaign became so brazen in parts of rural East Java that Moslem bands placed the heads of victims on poles and paraded them through villages….Travelers from these areas tell of small rivers and streams that have been literally clogged with bodies, river transportation has at places been seriously impeded.”

Pretty horrific by any standards, even genocidal ones.

Yet, Ann Dunham Soetoro, according to all of the MSM hype and Obama’s whitewash of an autobiography, was teaching English as an American Embassy employee while her husband, Lolo, an Army Colonel under the monster Suharto was busy working as an oil company geologist cum government liaison. The Dark Side of Paradise: Political Violence in Bali (Asia East by South), by Geoffrey Robinson, makes clear the implication of complicity in the monstrous events by both the Army and the U.S. Embassy.  I can’t link to p. 284 so I’ll quote: “the U.S. Embassy in Jakarta noted in a cable to the department of State…the U.S. government is generally admiring of what the army is doing”. Approval (for the killings) came from the U.S. Embassy.?
