From us to you

Have a blessed Easter.

There is no going back

Progressive ideology has destroyed the social fabric of the nation from within. Ignorance has sown the seeds of our own destruction. As the Romans did long ago, our fate will be written in the epilogue of history. Gone, a nation whose torch was smothered when a complacent arrogance forgot who they were, what made them great, and the humility to stand vigilant in defending liberty was lost. There is no upside for America or its people; and it is going to get ugly out there. But for those who have been fighting the good fight for so long, honoring those who have died fighting for the same providential cause, my suggestion is to pull in, relax, live, and love your families. Patriots, the New America is the reality; just have peace of mind knowing the winners of the war, and the choices they made, will be held personally responsible for the severe costs that are to follow. To those who asked for a New America, I leave you with the words of Col. Jessup in A Few Good men: "You have no idea how to defend a nation. All you did was weaken a country today ... That's all you did. You put people in danger. Sweet dreams, son."

FAQs: Frequently Asked Questions
FUQs: Frequently Unasked Questions

From Civil Engineer and Army Aviation Officer Neil B. Turner:

The best DEFENSE is a good OFFENSE!

Ask the right questions

From Barbara Cirks, President of the Canoga Park-West Hills Repoublican Womens Federated:
Don Jan’s book, My Grandchildrens’ America, Will it still be the Land of the Free And the Home of the Brave? is a brilliant discussion of whether the American dream will be available to our children and grandchildren. Don’s motivation for writing his book was his realization that Karl Marx was not an economist but a political philosopher. This opened Don’s eyes to the dynamics of Obama, the Democrats and liberalism in general.

Don tells us we need to ask the right questions of our fellow citizens, not attack them with buzzwords such as Marxism, Communism and Socialism. Let’s learn to ask them these fundamental questions in which the transformational left believes:

  • Does Obama believe in a heavy progressive graduated income tax?

  • Does Obama believe in heavy death taxes?

  • Does Obama believe in centralized government?

  • Does Obama believe in strict environmental and consumer controls?

  • Does Obama believe in federal control of communications and transportation?

  • Does Obama believe in federal regulation and control over banks, and other financial institutions, and private companies?

  • Does Obama believe labor should be unionized and that these unions should have a say in management?

  • Does Obama believe in confiscation of private property for the greater good of the community?

  • Does Obama believe the rights of the community supersede the rights of the individual?

The answer to all these questions is, of course, yes. Obama and all his underlings do believe in these statements and want to use them to transform America from a free, individualistic and capitalist society into huge centralized, government-controlled way of life.

Health care update 3/29/13

Health Action Network:

This Week in Health Care Reform: March 29th, 2013

In advance of next week’s decision on proposed payment changes to Medicare Advantage, a new detailed impact analysis is released; while the administration’s top health official acknowledges that costs could be going up; separate bills are introduced to both repeal the health insurance tax and protect brokers; and, three years later, a quick look back at what the health care law has already wrought and where it goes from here.

Health Care Reform

Impact Analysis: Late last week, a new analysis by management consulting firm Oliver Wyman detailed what the proposed payment cuts to Medicare Advantage would mean to beneficiaries in specific states.  Building on an earlier report in which they estimated seniors could face higher premiums of up to $90 per member per month, the new analysis, released by AHIP’s Coalition for Medicare Choices, breaks down by state the cumulative impact of CMS’ proposed cuts to Medicare Advantage, in terms of premium increases and/or a reduction in benefits, with 40 percent estimated to fall in the $60 to $75 range.

Actuarial Cost: On Tuesday, the Society of Actuaries released a new study predicting that costs for insurers in the individual market could go up by 32 percent on average in the next four years.  In fact, the study goes on to predict that some states could see their costs rise by as much as 60 to 80 percent in that time.  Perhaps most tellingly, despite asserting that definitive data on these costs wouldn’t be available until later in the year, HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius acknowledged that some individuals, particularly men and younger people, in the individual market could see their costs increasing in the next few years.

Pair of Bills: Also last week, two bills were introduced in the Senate, both aimed at cushioning the blow for populations exposed to new taxes and restrictions imposed under the Affordable Care Act.  The first bill, introduced last Tuesday by Sens. John Barrasso (R-Wyoming) and Orrin Hatch (R-Utah), seeks to repeal the health care law’s health insurance tax.  As constructed, it’s estimated that this tax alone would result in individuals purchasing coverage on their own having to pay $110 more in premiums next year, while employers would be on the hook for an additional $360 for each family they cover.  The other bill, introduced last Thursday by Sens. Mary Landrieu (D-Louisiana) and Johnny Isakson (R-Georgia), addresses the medical loss ratio (MLR) provision in the Affordable Care Act and its dramatic consequences for insurance agents and brokers.  As currently written, the MLR provision requires insurers to treat the valuable services provided by agents and brokers as parts of their administrative services.  The proposed bill seeks to exclude their compensation from the final MLR calculations.

Legacy and the Road Ahead: With this past weekend marking the third anniversary of the Affordable Care Act’s passage, a new study seeks to shed some light on the administrative burden borne out over the sweeping health care law’s first three years.  Released by the American Action Forum, their analysis estimates that the law has already resulted in more than 111 million hours of paperwork and $30 billion in costs.  Whether or not opponents find enough in those numbers to rally behind is anyone’s guess, but in the meantime, some took advantage of this past weekend’s milestone to put forth their own arguments as to why the occasion was nothing worth celebrating.  Regardless, the question remains: Three years later, what does the country think of health care reform now?

Why ObamaCare will KILL the votes for Democrats in 2014

Since only Democrats voted to impose ObamaCare on America, there’s no question who voters will blame for this colossal mess. The chances for a new Pelosi speakership are minuscule; we’re more likely to see Republicans win control of the Senate. The GOP only needs to pick up six Senate seats to do that — and three seats the Republicans will target are in Iowa, Virginia, and Arkansas — the states set to be hit with the highest premium increases in the individual market. Of course, all that may not be enough to repeal ObamaCare — it may take a few more elections before the will of the people prevails. But the system the Obama health law sets up is so dysfunctional, there’s an excellent chance voters will persevere until they get their way. It’s not over til it’s over.
  • People in their 20s and 30s will be clobbered — their health-insurance premiums will double (or more), insurers report. Nineteen percent of the president’s 2012 voters came from this age group. The biggest problem: The Obama law forces insurers to charge young, healthy people more to cover the cost of insuring the middle-aged and those with pre-existing conditions.

  • Many workers in industries such as retail, hospitality and home care will lose on-the-job health coverage, forecasts the ADP Research Institute — and many will also be demoted to part-time status because of ObamaCare.

  • The latest surprise, from HHS, is a $65-a-year fee employers must pay for each employee or dependent they insure.

  • Seniors needing hospital care will be shocked at cutbacks. Section 3000A of the law awards bonus points to the hospitals that spend the least per senior. Hospitals are even whacked for what Medicare patients consume in the 30 days after discharge, including physical therapy.

  • Hospital patients of all ages will wait longer for a nurse. Cuts to Medicare pay for over half the law, and this will mean $247 billion less for hospitals over the next decade; the layoffs are already starting.

  • Consumers trying to get their insurance from a state exchange will have to hand their Social Security Number and 15 pages of financial and family information to exchange “assisters” — temps often hired from community groups. In California, civil-rights activists are fighting to prevent background checks for would-be “assisters” because it would disqualify too many minority men with prior convictions.

State-by-state: what are YOUR insurance premiums going to be next year?

Remember when we were told “If you like your health insurance you can keep it,” and “If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor,” or this one, that the Heritage Foundation reminds us of, “it will cut the cost of a typical family’s premium by up to $2,500 a year”? Ah, it was a simpler time… however, what the president neglected to explain was that we would no longer be able to afford our health insurance, and our doctors would probably opt for early retirement.

Re: "automatic IRA's"

Obama’s budget proposals for 2013 include a preliminary government takeover of Americans’ retirement accounts by mandating employers contribute a certain amount to their employees’ retirement.

Of course, this employer mandate sounds oddly similar to ObamaCare’s mandate to buy health insurance, which is nothing more than a Trojan Horse for single-payer—that is, socialized healthcare.

And the “Automatic IRA” will be a Trojan Horse for nationalizing retirement accounts.

This act of the Obama administration stands as a glaring threat of war against our nation’s citizens!

Top 10 ObamaCare horror stories media is covering up

"The media is currently engaged in an ObamaCare cover-up every bit as big, corrupt, and damaging as the ongoing Libya cover up."
Because the mainstream media lobbied every bit as hard as Obama to win passage of ObamaCare, they are every bit as invested in doing whatever is necessary to see that it is perceived as a success. Unfortunately for Americans who expect truth from their media, this means the media are having to manufacture a false reality that says ObamaCare is, to steal a phrase, "doing fine."

Townhall: It Begins: Confiscation of Private Funds by Government Desperate for Cash

Investor's Business Daily:
Already Congressional Democrats are plotting the expropriation of Americans' private 401(k) and IRA retirement savings accounts in favor of "a guaranteed income." If bank accounts can be casually expropriated in Cyprus to pay for big-spending governments and bailouts, there is no reason a nice slice of the $19 trillion in retirement accounts can't get the same treatment.

If it happens, it will signal the end of individual freedom and the return of feudalism.

Yes, MF Global was the Direct Antecedent to Cyprus
Posted by Ann Barnhardt - March 17, AD 2013 2:06 PM MST
Cyprus is MF Global on a national, retail banking scale. Corzine absolutely blazed this trail. The particulars are almost exactly the same. Both MF Global/Corzine and Cyprus were failing entities, both took massive, uber-leveraged risks on European sovereign debt, both swept sacrosanct customer money when the house of cards finally collapsed under the weight of its own math.

The indefensible zeroes and ones were instantly swept from the computer servers and customers were locked-out of their accounts.

Interestingly, both were goaded on and enabled by the same people. Corzine was a crony of the Obama regime, which is operationally a Chicago-based phenomenon, as are the regulators of the futures industry, along with the CME group itself.

Cyprus was goaded, overseen, and then "harvested" by the International Monetary Fund, which is chaired by Christine Legarde, who is a Chicago player, and who actually was a partner at Baker & McKenzie before being placed at the IMF by the Obama regime and bankster oligarchy. Cyprus was Christine Legarde's play, and Legarde is in the Chicago oligarch circle.

This will happen here. It already has with MF Global, Cyprus is testing the national, retail banking level, and then it will happen here. They might go straight to bank holidays here, as Warren Pollock has been talking about for over 18 months now, or they may do a levy confiscation like this on retirement accounts.

If you have any money exposed to the financial system, you're just stupid. That's it. Bottom line.

How much smoke before you yell "FIRE"?

...a few days before Andrew Breitbart passed away I talked at the CA GOP convention with Reince Preibus, he told me that I should talk to Breitbart about my evidence. He said he will contact Breitbart and arrange a meeting. Less than 24 hours before Breitbart’s death I e-mailed Rence Preibus and asked if he already talked to Breitbart. I believe, I still have the printout of the e-mail. Next morning I saw an announcement that Breitbart was dead. I was told that at the same time Breitbart talked to Corsi. I believe that Breitbart was getting ready to talk about Obama’s forged IDs and bogus SSN. His sudden heart attack was very timely for those who wished him to be silent. Shortly after Breitbard died, the editorial board of his publication under the new management no longer showed any interest in pursuing the truth on this issue.

Apropo to Breitbart’s heart attack, today, only a few days before Obama’s visit to Israel, it was announced of a sudden death from a heart attack of a long time member of the Israeli Parliament Marina Solodkina. She was a PhD in Economics and an outspoken critic of militarization and resurgence of Nazism. Yesterday she gave a speech in Vilnus, Lithuania, part of the former Soviet Union. She was found dead in her hotel room shortly after the speech. Incidentally, Obama’s stepmother, third wife of Obama senior, Ruth Nidesand (Ndsanjo), mother of his stepbrothers Mark and David, came from the communist Vilnus, Lithuania.

Apropo #2, one of the assistants of the coroner who wrote a report on Breitbart’s heart attack was found dead from arsenic poisoning.

Health care updates

Health Care Reform

Medicare Advantage Call-to-Action: As you already know, CMS last month proposed payment rate cuts to Medicare Advantage plans for next year, the repercussions of which are already being leveraged in opposition to the proposed change.  The value of coordinated, patient-centered care, specifically in regards to Medicare Advantage, has already been established, so it’s no surprise that the response to the proposed cuts has been vociferous.  Late last month, a triumvirate of Congressional leaders sent a letter to CMS Acting Administrator Marilyn Tavenner outlining their concerns over what the cuts could mean to patient care.  The letter, from Senate Finance Committee Ranking Member Orrin Hatch (R-Utah), House Energy & Commerce Committee Chairman Fred Upton (R-Michigan), and House Ways & Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp (R-Michigan) was submitted just prior to close of the comment period.  Close on their heels, last week, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Florida) sent a letter of his own to CMS pressing the agency to scale back the proposed cuts.

Exchange Rate: Even as the counter to October’s open enrollment date for the new health insurance exchanges continues to wind down, there’s a growing, albeit silent, murmur of uncertainty surrounding whether or not they’ll be ready in time.  Despite a good many states having received approval to either operate their own exchanges or partner with a federally-facilitated version, more than half decided to leave it up to the federal government to run theirs.  What’s worrying some, though, apart from the overwhelming confusion and inherent complexity accompanying their launch, is that Washington might wind up having to step in and run the exchanges for the states that find themselves faltering.

Great Expectations: There’s no denying the percussive force of the Affordable Care Act.  From large employers to small business owners to uninsured individuals, there isn’t a single constituency that will escape its reach.  While some have already begun exploring just how they can make sure they come out ahead once the law is fully implemented, others have sought to temper those expectations with warnings grounded in actuarial analysis and hard-won experience.  But, one thing experts can probably agree on is that, nearly three years after its initial passage, there are as many questions today as answers.

One America News Network Prepares for Launch

New Cable Network to offer a Credible Source of National News
Washington, D.C. – March 14, 2013 – Herring Broadcasting Company, Inc, (HBC) announced today it is preparing for the launch of a new 24/7 high-definition news channel called One America News Network. Scheduled to launch on July 4th, 2013, the new network will fill a void by providing a credible source of national and international news around the clock along with a number of signature political talk shows.

According to Robert Herring, CEO of HBC, “Americans are starved for a credible source of news delivering substance based on facts. One America News Network will prove to be a trustworthy destination for national and international news. In addition, the network’s political talk shows will tackle a number of subjects that are being ignored by media today.”

One America News Network will also air political talk shows that offer substantive contrarian viewpoints to a plethora of left-leaning shouting-style political news programs. The network’s studio talk programs will debate the role of government, protection of civil liberties, fiscal responsibility, along with highlighting political corruption and government waste.

HBC is already established in the national cable programming industry.

S. 374 represents a direct blow to Americans’ right to keep and bear arms without excessive government interference

Schumer’s Transfer Tyranny
The bill holds that any “transfer” of a firearm must be conducted via a middleman (in practice, a law-enforcement officer or the holder of a Federal Firearms License) and that a transferee is obliged to submit to a check under the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System. There are good-faith arguments in favor of and against this provision. But Chuck Schumer has narrowed the definition of “transfer” so strictly as to make his proposition absurd. If, for example, a gun owner leaves his home for more than seven days — leaving his firearms with his roommate, or gay partner, or landlord — he’ll be committing a felony that carries a five-year prison term. And while married couples are exempted from falling afoul of that provision, the family exemptions apply only to recorded “gifts” and not to “temporary transfers.” In order to avoid making felons of millions of couples, the government would, at the very least, need to spell out clearly what constitutes “gifting” a gun within a family and what constitutes a “temporary transfer,” thus regulating an area that has hitherto largely been left alone.

What else would change?

Petrus Romanus: The Final Pope Is Here

An author who predicted Pope Benedict XVI would be the first pontiff in nearly 600 years to resign believes the election today of Jorge Mario Bergoglio as the 266th Roman Catholic pontiff lines up with a medieval prophecy that would make him the “final pope” before the End Times...
The 2012 prediction
Remarkably, Horn told WND, more than 60 years ago a Belgian Jesuit theologian and academic named Rene Thibault came up with the date 2012 as the culmination of Malachy’s prophecies.

Horn points to reports that Benedict made his decision to resign last year, before announcing it in February.

On Francis
Posted by Ann Barnhardt - March 14, AD 2013 10:34 AM MST

Let me start with a positive comment. Remember, this is the best I could come up with:

If we had gotten the pope we DESERVE, we would now have Pope Snoop Dogg.

And thus ends the positivity.

Francis, like his homeland of Argentina, is a total disaster. He has overseen the near-total destruction of the Church in Argentina. He hates and despises the Tridentine Mass, which is to say that he hates the Mass - let's not mince words, and is a rabid persecutor of anyone in Argentina who shows ANY signs of tradition. A priest in Argentina literally risks the end of his career if he wears a cassock in public. He has forbidden the Tridentine Mass in Argentina, which is an act of direct disobedience, specifically against the papal decree Summorum Pontificum, but embraces horrific "charismatic" and "Superfun Rockband"-type liturgical sacrilege.

Which brings us to his regard for the papacy, and the Church itself. He said yesterday in his bizarre little speech, again and again, that he was the Bishop of Rome, which is true, but in being the Bishop of Rome the pope is the head of the Universal Church, not just the city of Rome. Francis does not believe this, and even made a reference to the idea that the pope is "first among equals". This means that he regards the Church as a mere loose confederacy, and also that he thinks the Church is, or should be, a democracy. The proof of this is, again, his blatant disobedience to Summorum Pontificum. He will never do anything to clean up the sodomite infiltrators in the Church outside of Rome because he doesn't feel that the pope has any authority outside of Rome. Bottom line here: many bishops and archbishops have been kept in line over the past eight years because Benedict was relatively aggressive in booting out extremely bad bishops. Benedict was feared in a healthy way. This guy is basically the big green light to every Marxist-homosexualist to just go ahead and do whatever, because they know Francis will never remove them or even chastise them, because Francis doesn't believe that the pope has any universal authority and is merely the bishop of the city of Rome proper - at least that is the excuse that will be given when nothing is done about abuses and heresies **that Francis is sympathetic towards.**

BUT, like all insecure leaders who say that they reject authority and obedience, reports from Buenos Aires are that he is an iron-fisted totalitarian against traditionalists, precisely because he has no confidence in or respect for his own authority, and thus assumes that no one else does either, and thus wields power against his perceived enemies only from brute force. Again, this is TEXTBOOK 20th century Marxist worldview and psychology. It is also the diametrical opposite of the virtue of MEEKNESS, which is power under control.

Next, he is an "ecu-maniac", which is to say that he is in the "all religions are equal and can't we all just get along" camp. In Buenos Aires he knelt before and received the "blessing" of a Superfun Rockband Church "pastor", and even received "communion" from a Protestant. There are pictures floating around of that episode. This is terrifying. He clearly does not have a strong belief in or understanding of Our Lord, His Church, the Mass or the Real Presence of Our Lord in the Eucharist. But, as I have stated repeatedly, almost none of the men ordained in the 1960s, 70s or 80s do.

Next, he's a Jesuit. Now, I must disclose that I have a deep personal, seething, visceral hatred of Jesuits, but my hatred of them is a corollary to the fact that they long ago descended into truly evil heresies and apostasy. Jesuits, in addition to being a cult of sodomites who hate God, are also … wait for it … Marxists. Now Francis has in the past put up some token resistance to so-called "Liberation theology", which is just Communist Totalitarianism in religious drag, but he is huge, huge, huge on "social justice", which is merely code for Marxism. This guy's worldview revolves around giving people free stuff because it's nice, which as we have discussed is contrary to logic and reason, specifically in the subset of mathematics, and thus is contrary to Our Lord who is FIRST the Logos, with the Divine Caritas (charity) proceeding out of the Logos. Bottom line, there will be zero positive assistance to the world from Francis with regards to the inevitable economic collapse. Not only will there be nothing helpful coming from him, he will almost certainly come out in favor of more debt, more "free stuff", and more rhetoric about how people are "entitled" to physical and service commodities (which are someone else's man-hours, remember) as "rights".

But Ann! He has gone on record against homosexual "marriage" and abortion!

Wow. Is this really how far we have sunk? The Roman pontiff is on record as being against sodomy and killing babies and we cite this as proof of ORTHODOXY? Really? I wonder if he also believes in gravity. Does belief in gravity constitute a conservative worldview now?

Benedict thought that between the "Natural Solution" (the passage of time yielding the death or retirement of the bad guys) and the appointments he was able to make over the last eight years that he had set up the College of Cardinals to elect a successor that was very much in the Ratzingerian camp. Benedict was wrong. Not only did they not elect a Ratzingerian, they elected the anti-Ratzinger. In the 2005 conclave Francis came in second to Ratzinger, which is to say that Francis was the "opposition". In what must have Benedict's mind reeling today, after eight years of purging and priming the College of Cardinals, the very men Ratzinger placed turned around and elected the anti-Ratzinger. This proves, as I have said all along, that playing prevent defense, namely the "natural solution" of waiting for the bad guys to die is UNSOUND. In war, you fix your bayonets, say your prayers, and you charge.

Tridentine Mass-goers and clergy, this guy will be on the warpath against us at some point. Prepare. Brace. He may attempt to undo Summorum Pontificum either directly or through intense passive aggression. Any hopes of reconciling the good guys in the SSPX is now totally over. Beyond that, the splinter factions will now claim that "they were right", and sadly even more schism will result, and more people will remain outside the Church. So sad.

We got what we deserved, and probably better than we deserve. God's chastisement of His people is sending them bad priests, bishops, and now, in all likelihood, a bad pope. What do you expect? Look around. The world is awash in staggering sin and blasphemy and no one will lift a finger to do anything about it. And, as my last essay on penance proved via my email box, no one is sorry or has any desire to make reparation to Our Lord for any of it. No one has the slightest comprehension of the notion of taking on the burden of guilt for sins that they didn't directly commit, which blows my mind because that is LITERALLY the ENTIRE POINT of the Incarnation. The mind reels at the collective obtuseness needed to miss that glaring point.

No one has the slightest comprehension of the idea of seeing Our Lord in agony and simply stepping over to Him and asking, "What can I do to help You? What can I do to make You feel better? Let me take some of Your burden. Let me go with You."

Nope. So long as we all leave Him alone in His Passion, He will leave us to our self-absorption and indifference.

Kyrie eleison. Christe eleison. Kyrie eleison.

Viva il Papa.

Did you know...

Senator Rand Paul, speaking about his recent filibuster on the U.S. Senate floor:
At about 6:30 p.m., something extraordinary happened. Sen. Mark Kirk (R-Ill.), who has been recovering from a stroke, came to the floor to give me something. I was not allowed to drink anything but water or eat anything but the candy left in our Senate desks. But he brought me an apple and a thermos full of tea — the same sustenance Jimmy Stewart brought to the Senate floor in the movie “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.” That was a moment I will never forget.

9 things you should know about Pope Francis

I think #9 will surprise you!

So James Bond is 50 years old, apparently. While Bond himself has gone through many incarnations, from the incomparable Connery to the mystifying choice of Roger Moore to today's Daniel Craig, only the character himself has remained constant. And so have his women, specifically his arch-nemesis women. Bond's cold war hotties were usually Soviet spies like Anya Amasova and Tatiana Romanova, cunning and beautiful women who started out as mortal foes but ended up flinging themselves at Bond with girlish glee. In comparison to the staid and efficient Miss Moneypenny, these ladies were dynamic and exotic and dangerous. And yet they were, at heart, beautiful and ultra feminine young women. In many ways, these female spies were a glimpse at what mid-century men secretly longed for in a woman. They had beauty and brains, charisma and determination, competence and know-how, but femininity and sexuality above all else. The fact that they all ultimately threw over their evil spymasters in order to sail off with Bond shows that they were pro-value deep down, too, and capable of love. That's why we still love them 50 years on, and likely always will.

Two anti-federalist men, Brutus (aka Robert Yates) and George Clinton, seem to have correctly prophesied the demise of the United States of America as a constitutional republic.

Were they right?

The most secretive president in history

President Obama has declared many times that his administration is the most transparent in American history. So, why has a new analysis by AP found that the federal government is rejecting more and more public requests for information? The AP report states that in 2012 “the government cited national security to withhold information at least 5,223 times — a jump over 4,243 such cases in 2011 and 3,805 cases in Obama’s first year in office.”

Two things

First, the battle over Americans’ Second Amendment rights has barely begun. Second, gun rights enjoy a solid foundation, as long as Barack Obama is not allowed to pack the Supreme Court with far-left judges.

Did Gabby Giffords' husband commit a felony?

Gateway Pundit: Oops… Gabby Giffords’ Husband Mark Kelly Likely Committed a Felony With His AR-15 Purchase
If Mr. Kelly did not intend to keep the AR-15, but to give it to another, he is committing a felony by being a “straw purchaser” under current law, and he must have stated on the ATF Form 4473 that he was buying it for himself, so he committed perjury on the BATF form, also a felony.

Spring Break in Mexico 2013: Security Risks and Travel Tips

Nothing in the behavior of Mexican cartels indicates that they would consciously keep tourists out of the line of fire or away from the gruesome displays of their murder victims. Violence related to the cartels is spreading, and while tourists may not be directly targeted, they can be caught in the crossfire or otherwise find themselves in situations where their security is compromised. Transnational criminal organizations, it should be remembered, are more than just drug traffickers: They participate in extortion, robbery, rape and carjackings. And where cartels are violently targeting each other, local gangs can take advantage of law enforcement's resulting distraction to commit crimes of their own.

CA: The middle is still shrinking.

Excerpt from Beautifully Medieval California" by Victor Davis Hanson, PJ Media
A medieval society can be defined in a variety of ways. In terms of class, there is more a pyramidal culture. A vast peasantry sits below an elite of clergy and lords above — but with little or no independent middle class in-between.

I think California is getting there quickly — with the US soon to follow. . .

But feudal California is more than a sense of bifurcated classes and locations. It adopts a closed medieval state of mind too. The Renaissance marked a lessening of the intolerance and censorship of the medieval clergy. Art, literature, science, and philosophy were freed from shibboleths of Aristotle, Church doctrine, and formalistic conventions. But California has of yet had no such renaissance. In our closed, anti-scientific, and deductive way of thinking, Solyndra was a success. Drilling for cheap natural gas in the Monterey Shale formation would be seen as failure. When our governor told Rick Perry that Californians did not need to cool off in 110 degree heat through “fossil fuel”-fed air conditioning, he did not mean that solar panels were energizing green air conditioners in Barstow, but rather that our elites on the coast have natural air conditioning; it’s called the Pacific Ocean. And although wind and solar provide miniscule amounts of California energy, it matters little, given that coastal elites enjoy 70 degree weather year-round and keep their power bills low. PG&E’s and Southern California Edison’s astronomical energy costs are for “little people,” the middle classes in the hot and cold interior and mountains. The aristocracy sets the regulations that make power soar, and the interior pays far more of the costs.

This makes me sad

Friday Afternoon Roundup - The Senator from Al Qaeda

"The Paul filibuster was about drone strikes on American soil, the way that Obama 'only' wants to ban assault rifles." --Daniel Greenfield

Excerpt from RAND PAUL/VAN JONES 2016
If you stand with Rand, this is what you stand with.

Everyone can do what they please, but if you're going to stand with Rand, then let's be clear about his positions and agenda. And be clear about whether you share them or not.

No more dressing this up in "Rand Paul is standing up for the Constitution." That's the same dishonest claim his father made for years. And none of the even more dishonest, "Drone strikes on Americans in cafes" nonsense.

That's not what this is about.
  1. Do you think that the United States is murdering innocent Muslims and inspiring terrorist attacks?

  2. Do you think that if we just leave them alone, they'll leave us alone?

  3. If you think all those things, then wasn't the left, which has been saying all these things since before September 11, right all along?

THE BLAZE: Here Are All the GOP Senators That Participated in Rand Paul’s 12+ Hour Filibuster… and the Ones Who Didn’t

Senator Rand Paul’s principled stand yesterday, filibustering on the Senate Floor for 13 straight hours, was inspiring, encouraging, and reassuring.

We stand here today inspired by Sen. Paul’s passionate and courageous leadership, and by the support shown by many others in the Senate Chamber and around the country.

Thank you Sen. Rand Paul for standing up on the floor of the Senate to demand a debate about the Constitution’s relevance, the importance of the Fifth Amendment, the Senate’s constitutional mandate to advise and counsel the President, whether the different branches of government are truly intended to provide checks and balances, and whether there are limits to the Executive Branch’s power.  Each of these arguments is important and valuable to our country today and essential to ensuring a better future for all Americans. Sen. Paul has shown wisdom and political leadership to use the filibuster as a bully pulpit to elevate these principled arguments to the forefront of the media.  We need more leaders like Sen. Rand Paul.

Yesterday, we also saw that there were several others willing to stand with Rand Paul: Senators Barasso, Chambliss, Cornyn, Cruz, Flake, Johnson, Lee, McConnell, Moran, Rubio, Scott, Thune, and Toomey. Thank you all for your willingness to have Sen. Paul’s back and, more importantly, to stand up for the Constitution. It’s important to note that Sen. Mike Lee was the first person to assist Sen. Paul, and Sen. Ted Cruz stayed until the end, reading supportive Tweets to his colleague, among other contributions. Thank you Sens. Lee and Cruz!

Senator Ron Wyden, Democrat from Oregon, spoke in support of the questions Sen. Paul was asking of the White House, and referred to the two of them as the “Checks and Balances Caucus.” Sen. Wyden was willing to put aside political party loyalty to consider what is best for all Americans. Thank you for that, Sen. Wyden.

We are finally seeing Senators and Representatives who were elected as a result of the tea party movement beginning to establish their footing, use their voices effectively, and make a difference by pushing Congress to again function the way it should.  This would not be possible without the time, dedication, commitment, perseverance, and determination of the Patriots around the country who have stood for fiscally responsible, constitutionally limited government through Tea Party Patriots, Campaign for Liberty, 912 groups, and other like-minded organizations.

Now is the time, with our Constitution and our liberties under such an organized and sustained attack, to fight back harder than ever, and to never, ever give in. Sen. Paul’s physical effort alone was so inspiring that many of us across the country could barely sleep last night. This is the spirit of America we long to see in our elected officials.

When we began Tea Party Patriots four years ago, we knew it would take a long time to achieve our goals. We have a 40-year plan. We will continue to build upon the foundation we have laid. We are only just beginning!

Thank you and God Bless America!

Yale's "Sex Weekend" gets kinky

Yale hosts workshop teaching sensitivity to bestiality

If I were paying for my kids to go to Yale, this bullshit would send me over the edge. As it is, I want to scream and yell at all the parents who do.

And, bottom line, bestiality is cruelty to animals--where is PETA?

And people are talking about him for 2016?

30 Facts About The Coming Water Crisis That Will Change The Lives Of Every Person On The Planet

Forget "global warming" -- this is REALLY a serious issue (but don't tell Al Gore, he'll try to make a buck off of it):
Today, the most important underground water source in America, the Ogallala Aquifer, is rapidly running dry. The most important lake in the western United States, Lake Mead, is rapidly running dry. The most important river in the western United States, the Colorado River, is rapidly running dry. Putting our heads in the sand and pretending that we are not on the verge of an absolutely horrific water crisis is not going to make it go away. Without water, you cannot grow crops, you cannot raise livestock and you cannot support modern cities. As this global water crisis gets worse, it is going to affect every single man, woman and child on the planet. I encourage you to keep reading and learn more.

Proof that men are happier without women :-)

The latest research found that women age 75 and younger are dying at higher rates than previous years in nearly half of the nation's counties—many of them rural and in the South and West. Curiously, for men, life expectancy has held steady or improved in nearly all counties...

PRICELESS: They don't call him "Bathhouse Barry" for nothing...

The man who saved the world

The man who saved the world... 50 years ago, at the height of the Cuban Missile Crisis, second-in-command Vasilli Arkhipov of the Soviet submarine B-59 refused to agree with his Captain's order to launch nuclear torpedos against US warships and setting off what might well have been a terminal superpower nuclear war.

The US had been dropping depth charges near the submarine in an attempt to force it to surface, unaware it was carrying nuclear arms. The Soviet officers, who had lost radio contact with Moscow, concluded that World War 3 had begun, and two of the officers agreed to 'blast the warships out of the water'. Arkhipov refused to agree - unanimous consent of three officers was required - and thanks to him, we are here to talk about it.

His story is finally being told - the BBC is airing a documentary on it.

Raise a glass to Vasilli Arkhipov - the Man Who Saved the World.

Why the GOP won’t challenge vote fraud

Here’s why:

The Republican Party made an agreement 30 years ago with the Democrat Party NOT to ensure voting integrity and NOT to pursue suspected vote fraud.

Yes. You read it correctly.

In fact, legally the GOP cannot ensure voting integrity, nor can it prevent vote fraud.

Here’s the astounding reason, which is kept from the American people.

They used to use urine to tan animal skins, so families used to all pee in a pot & then once a day it was taken & Sold to the tannery.......if you had to do this to survive you were "Piss Poor"

But worse than that were the really poor folk who couldn't even afford to buy a pot
.......they "didn't have a pot to piss in" & were the lowest of the low

The next time you are washing your hands and complain because the water temperature isn't just how you like it, think about how things used to be. Here are some facts about the 1500s:

Most people got married in June because they took their yearly bath in May, and they still smelled pretty good by June.. However, since they were starting to smell
....... . Brides carried a bouquet of flowers to hide the body odor. Hence the custom today of carrying a bouquet when getting Married.

Baths consisted of a big tub filled with hot water. The man of the house had the privilege of the nice clean water, then all the other sons and men, then the women and finally the children. Last of all the babies. By then the water was so dirty you could actually lose someone in it. Hence the saying, "Don't throw the baby out with the Bath water!"

Houses had thatched roofs-thick straw-piled high, with no wood underneath. It was the only place for animals to get warm, so all the cats and other small animals (mice, bugs) lived in the roof. When it rained it became slippery and sometimes the animals would slip and fall off the roof
.......Hence the saying "It's raining cats and dogs."

There was nothing to stop things from falling into the house. This posed a real problem in the bedroom where bugs and other droppings could mess up your nice clean bed. Hence, a bed with big posts and a sheet hung over the top afforded some protection. That's how canopy beds came into existence.

The floor was dirt. Only the wealthy had something other than dirt. Hence the saying, "Dirt poor." The wealthy had slate floors that would get slippery in the winter when wet, so they spread thresh (straw) on floor to help keep their footing. As the winter wore on, they added more thresh until, when you opened the door, it would all start slipping outside. A piece of wood was placed in the entrance-way. Hence: a thresh hold.

In those old days, they cooked in the kitchen with a big kettle that always hung over the fire.. Every day they lit the fire and added things to the pot. They ate mostly vegetables and did not get much meat. They would eat the stew for dinner, leaving leftovers in the pot to get cold overnight and then start over the next day. Sometimes stew had food in it that had been there for quite a while. Hence the rhyme: Peas porridge hot, peas porridge cold, peas porridge in the pot nine days old. Sometimes they could obtain pork, which made them feel quite special. When visitors came over, they would hang up their bacon to show off. It was a sign of wealth that a man could, "bring home the bacon." They would cut off a little to share with guests and would all sit around and chew the fat.

Those with money had plates made of pewter. Food with high acid content caused some of the lead to leach onto the food, causing lead poisoning death. This happened most often with tomatoes, so for the next 400 years or so, tomatoes were considered poisonous.

Bread was divided according to status. Workers got the burnt bottom of the loaf, the family got the middle, and guests got the top, or the upper crust.

Lead cups were used to drink ale or whisky. The combination would Sometimes knock the imbibers out for a couple of days. Someone walking along the road would take them for dead and prepare them for burial.. They were laid out on the kitchen table for a couple of days and the family would gather around and eat and drink and wait and see if they would wake up. Hence the custom of holding a wake.

England is old and small and the local folks started running out of places to bury people. So they would dig up coffins and would take the bones to a bone-house, and reuse the grave. When reopening these coffins, 1 out of 25 coffins were found to have scratch marks on the inside and they realized they had been burying people alive... So they would tie a string on the wrist of the corpse, lead it through the coffin and up through the ground and tie it to a bell. Someone would have to sit out in the graveyard all night (the graveyard shift.) to listen for the bell; thus, someone could be, saved by the bell or was considered a dead ringer.

And that's the truth
.......Now, whoever said History was boring?

This is IMPORTANT to everyone!!! Quite possibly a food supplier of groceries, eat in or take out food in your area may be doing this without your knowledge. How they get around the FDA and Dept of Agriculture is beyond me. What is this? It is unclean non inspected meat, that has not been subjected to the rigourous inspections that meat normally gets. This meat has been slaughtered in Muslim tradition without any safeguards what so ever. The web site below boasts about Halal meat now being available in markets, grocery chains, restaurants, all types of fast food places and this is not just beef but poutry, and all other forms of meat products or poultry. Be very careful about what you buy and eat. The MUSLIM's in this country are now infiltrating and subjecting our meat chain to a serious threat. I am suggesting that all businesses in America who are supportive and take part in this for the sake of so few, should be BOYCOTTED NOW permanently until all HALAL meat and poultry are removed from their stores, restaurants, facilities etc.
Please share this far and wide this is VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION!!!!!!

More shocking news about the holocaust

"What they have found so far has shocked even scholars steeped in the history of the Holocaust."

When the research began in 2000, Dr. Megargee said he expected to find perhaps 7,000 Nazi camps and ghettos, based on postwar estimates. But the numbers kept climbing — first to 11,500, then 20,000, then 30,000, and now 42,500.

The numbers astound: 30,000 slave labor camps; 1,150 Jewish ghettos; 980 concentration camps; 1,000 prisoner-of-war camps; 500 brothels filled with sex slaves; and thousands of other camps used for euthanizing the elderly and infirm, performing forced abortions, “Germanizing” prisoners or transporting victims to killing centers.

In Berlin alone, researchers have documented some 3,000 camps and so-called Jew houses, while Hamburg held 1,300 sites.

Dr. Dean, a co-researcher, said the findings left no doubt in his mind that many German citizens, despite the frequent claims of ignorance after the war, must have known about the widespread existence of the Nazi camps at the time.

“You literally could not go anywhere in Germany without running into forced labor camps, P.O.W. camps, concentration camps,” he said. “They were everywhere.”
