What was the government in the United States before the U.S. Constitution was written?

It was the Articles of Confederation, ratified by the States MARCH 1, 1781.

Signed by such statesmen as John Hancock and Samuel Adams, it was an attempt to loosely knit the thirteen States together, leaving most of the authority under State Constitutions.

The Articles of Confederation declared:

"Whereas the delegates of the United States of America in Congress assembled did on the fifteenth day of November in the Year of Our Lord 1777, and in the second year of the independence of America agree on certain Articles of Confederation and perpetual union between the States...

The said states hereby severally enter into a firm league of friendship with each other, for their common defense, the security of their liberties, and their mutual and general welfare, binding themselves to assist each other, against all force...or attacks made upon them...on account of religion, sovereignty, trade, or any other pretense."

The Articles end with the line:

"It has pleased the Great Governor of the World to incline the hearts of the Legislatures we respectively represent in Congress, to approve of and to authorize us to ratify the said Articles of Confederation."

The original State Constitutions acknowledged religion, as cited in the book, The Original 13-A Documentary History of Religion in America's First Thirteen States:

1776, CONSTITUTION OF VIRGINIA, BILL OF RIGHTS, SECTION 16: "That religion, or the duty which we owe to our Creator, and the manner of discharging it, can be directed only by reason and conviction, not by force or violence; and therefore all men are equally entitled to the free exercise of religion, according to the dictates of conscience; and that it is the mutual duty of all to practice Christian forbearance, love, and charity towards each other."

Yes, I know this article says "world's most fearless atheist" but he is also the world's most famous--most vocal?--atheist as well...]

In a recent Al-Jazeerah interview, Richard Dawkins was asked his views on God. He argued that the god of "the Old Testament" is "hideous" and "a monster", and reiterated his claim from The God Delusion that the God of the Torah is the most unpleasant character "in fiction".

As you can see, Dawkins has no trouble attacking the Hebrew God in a most direct and uncompromising manner. No atheist wallflower he.

Asked if he thought the same of the God of the Koran, Dawkins ducked the question, saying: "Well, um, the God of the Koran I don't know so much about."

How can it be that the world's most fearless atheist, celebrated for his strident opinions on the Christian and Jewish Gods, could profess to know so little about the God of the Koran? Has he not had the time? Or is Professor Dawkins simply demonstrating that most crucial trait of his species: survival instinct.

Whoops. It’s funny how these confident, cocksure prophets of atheism-who barely have time to take a breath between slamming the tenets of Christianity and Judaism-often get curiously tongue-tied and shy when the subject of Islam comes up. The idea that Dawkins doesn’t “know so much about” the God of the Koran is absurd. Of course he knows about Islam. And the same disdain and disregard that he has for Judaism and Christianity should surely apply to Islam as well.

The truth is that bashing and mocking Judaism and Christianity is easy and painless. You’ll get praise and admiration from those within the “right” circles of academia, media, and entertainment. Your opponents will argue with and debate your views and they may even offer (gasp) to pray for you. There’s no real price to pay at all.

However, should you direct the same scathing criticisms towards Islam you’ll find those “right” circles suddenly closed off to you. And your opponents’ rebuttals may not be offered in articles and debate halls, but rather with bullets, bombs, and knives. Standing up to that takes real courage not the false bravado we see on displays as atheists attack Judaism and Christianity.

Now for the bad news

GAO: Obamacare Is A Multi-Trillion Dollar Budget-Buster
...And for all of that, we get lousy government medicine.

Thanks to a commenter here I found a great before-and-after shot from M. J. Perry's site "Carpe Diem":
East Germany: Before and After Communism
Kevin at created the excellent Mystery of the Filthy, Filthy Carpet series--our very own canary in our very own coal mine (one of the few left after Obama's killed at least 110 of 'em).

I suggest that everyone start taking a lot of "before" pictures before any more things disappear (like the blocks of vacant stores on Ventura Blvd. near Reseda Blvd. in Tarzana, CA) so that we can all take a lot of "after" pictures (that is, if Obama or his replacements allow us to do that assuming there's anyone left who can afford the damn things by then).

Dick Morris:
The never-ending Obama campaign announced this week that it was raising funds from big donors — only a relative handful — to put together a $50 million fund for an army of grass-roots activists in swing states to go after Republican Congressmen and Senators who dare to vote against the president’s wishes.

Over the next two years, they will be spreading their tentacles all over the nation to invade districts which are now in Republican hands but might be turned to blue in 2014 in pursuit of a House majority and of a sixty vote Democratic Senate.

This “purge” of Republicans is reminiscent of 1938 when FDR tried to oust conservatives — Democrats and Republicans alike — who had the temerity to oppose his New Deal measures. His efforts were soon overtaken by the double dip recession of 1937-38 that his economic and tax policies triggered, but it was not for want of trying that Congress remained independent.

California in crisis

Conn Carroll: What happened to the Golden State?
Over the next four days, The Washington Examiner will look at what ails California, and how it got to its current state of failure. We will look at the state's out-of-control budget and debt, the powerful union interests driving it, the decline of its education system, the failure of its "clean energy" initiatives and the environmental regulations that are wrecking the economy in many regions of the state.

The current trends in the Golden State point to a failing state -- a California in crisis.

Tomorrow: The California spending rush.

Be afraid.

Be very afraid.
Now there is strong and open evidence of the Obama administration collaborating with Islamist activists to ensure the path toward sharia law is accelerated!

DICK ACT of 1902 CANNOT BE REPEALED (GUN CONTROL FORBIDDEN) - Protection Against Tyrannical Government

The Trump Card Enacted by the Congress Further Asserting the Second Amendment as Untouchable. The Dick Act of 1902 also known as the Efficiency of Militia Bill H.R.11654, of June 28, 1902 invalidates all so-called gun-control laws. It also divides the militia into three distinct and separate entities.

The three classes H.R. 11654 provides for are the organized militia, henceforth known as the National Guard of the State, Territory and District of Columbia, the unorganized militia and the regular army. The militia encompasses every able-bodied male between the ages of 18 and 45. All members of the unorganized militia have the absolute personal right and 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms of any type, and as many as they can afford to buy. The Dick Act of 1902 cannot be repealed; to do so would violate bills of attainder and ex post facto laws which would be yet another gross violation of the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The President of the United States has zero authority without violating the Constitution to call the National Guard to serve outside of their State borders. The National Guard Militia can only be required by the National Government for limited purposes specified in the Constitution ( to uphold the laws of the Union; to suppress insurrection and repel invasion). These are the only purposes for which the General Government can call upon the National Guard. Attorney General Wickersham advised President Taft, the Organized Militia (the National Guard) can not be employed for offensive warfare outside the limits of the United States.

The Honorable William Gordon, in a speech to the House on Thursday, October 4, 1917, proved that the action of President Wilson in that he felt Wilson ought to have been impeached. During the war with England an attempt was made by Congress to pass a bill authorizing the president to draft 100,000 men between the ages of 18 and 45 to invade enemy territory, Canada. The bill was defeated in the House by Daniel Webster on the precise point that Congress had no such power over the militia as to authorize it to empower the President to draft them into the regular army and send them out of the country.

The fact is that the President has no constitutional right, under any circumstances, to draft men from the militia to fight outside the borders of the USA, and not even beyond the borders of their respective states. Today, we have a constitutional LAW which still stands in waiting for the legislators to obey the Constitution which they swore an oath to uphold. Charles Hughes of the American Bar Association (ABA) made a speech which is contained in the Appendix to Congressional Record, House, September 10, 1917, pages 6836-6840 which states: The militia, within the meaning of these provisions of the Constitution is distinct from the Army of the United States.

In these pages we also find a statement made by Daniel Webster, that the great principle of the Constitution on that subject is that the militia is the militia of the States and of the General Government; and thus being the militia of the States, there is no part of the Constitution worded with greater care and with more scrupulous jealousy than that which grants and limits the power of Congress over it.

This limitation upon the power to raise and support armies clearly establishes the intent and purpose of the framers of the Constitution to limit the power to raise and maintain a standing army to voluntary enlistment, because if the unlimited power to draft and conscript was intended to be conferred, it would have been a useless and puerile thing to limit the use of money for that purpose. Conscripted armies can be paid, but they are not required to be, and if it had been intended to confer the extraordinary power to draft the bodies of citizens and send them out of the country in direct conflict with the limitation upon the use of the militia imposed by the same section and article, certainly some restriction or limitation would have been imposed to restrain the unlimited use of such power.

The Honorable William Gordon More Info With over 300 Million guns in the United States, the federal CORPORATE government (federal gov't defined as corporation under 28 U.S.C. Section 3002 (15) and the states are subdivisions of the corporation, 28 U.S.C. Section 3002 (10), cannot ban arms or stop people from defending themselves against a tyrannical government. I read somewhere that just the State of North Carolina can call up 20-30 divisions of unorganized militia (would be about 200,000-300,000 armed North Carolinians) on a moment's notice.

Imagine the State of Texas or Oklahoma if that's the case? Amazingly, even if the US tries to ban all arms through backdoor measures like domestic violence laws ( Violence Against Women Act, 18 U.S.C. Section 922 (g)) or through an unconstitutional U.N. declaration adopted by our current Marxist unconstitutional Congress, no treaty can supersede the Constitution:"This [ Supreme] Court has regularly and uniformly recognized the supremacy of the Constitution over a treaty." - Reid v. Covert, October 1956, 354 U.S. 1, at pg 17. This case involved the question: Does the NATO Status of Forces Agreement (treaty) supersede the U.S. Constitution?

Keep reading. The Reid Court ( U.S. Supreme Court) held in their Opinion that, "... No agreement with a foreign nation can confer power on the Congress, or any other branch of government, which is free from the restraints of the Constitution. Article VI, the Supremacy clause of the Constitution declares, "This Constitution and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in pursuance thereof; and all the Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme law of the land..."

There is nothing in this language which intimates that treaties and laws enacted pursuant to them do not have to comply with the provisions of the Constitution nor is there anything in the debates which accompanied the drafting and ratification which even suggest such a result..."It would be manifestly contrary to the objectives of those who created the Constitution, as well as those who were responsible for the Bill of Rights let alone alien to our entire constitutional history and tradition to construe Article VI as permitting the United States to exercise power UNDER an international agreement, without observing constitutional prohibitions. (See: Elliots Debates 1836 ed. pgs 500-519)."In effect, such construction would permit amendment of that document in a manner not sanctioned by Article V.

The prohibitions of the Constitution were designed to apply to all branches of the National Government and they cannot be nullified by the Executive or by the Executive and Senate combined. Did you understand what the Supreme Court said here? No Executive Order, Presidential Directive, Executive Agreement, no NAFTA, GATT/WTO agreement/treaty, passed by ANYONE, can supersede the Constitution.FACT. No question!

At this point the Court paused to quote from another of their Opinions; 7 Geofroy v. Riggs, 133 U.S. 258 at pg. 26 7 where the Court held at that time that, "The treaty power as expressed in the Constitution, is in terms unlimited except by those restraints which are found in that instrument against the action of the government or of its departments and those arising from the nature of the government itself and of that of the States. It would not be contended that it extends so far as to authorize what the Constitution forbids, or a change in the character of the government, or a change in the character of the States, or a cession of any portion of the territory of the latter without its consent."

Assessing the GATT/WTO parasitic organism in light of this part of the Opinion, we see that it cannot attach itself to its host (our Republic or States) in the fashion the traitors in our government wish, without our acquiescing to it.The Reid Court continues with its Opinion:"This Court has also repeatedly taken the position that an Act of Congress, which MUST comply with the Constitution, is on full parity with a treaty, the statute to the extent of conflict, renders the treaty null. It would be completely anomalous to say that a treaty need not comply with the Constitution when such an agreement can be overridden by a statute that must conform to that instrument."

The U.S. Supreme court could not have made it more clear : TREATIES DO NOT OVERRIDE THE CONSTITUTION, AND CANNOT, IN ANY FASHION, AMEND IT!!! CASE CLOSED!!!!

I am curious as to why no one has even mentioned this previously, Politician or News Media.......... Maybe, because it does not meet THEIR "Political Agenda(s)?"

The question of how President Obama’s college education was funded is now of considerably more than academic interest.
Until now, there really has been no context within which to understand the Sutton story or to buttress it as a reliable account other than the reputation of Sutton himself as one of the top leaders of the black community in Manhattan — himself a noted attorney, businessman and politician. But the new discovery of the 1979 column that established Khalid al-Mansour’s interest in creating a fund to give “financial help to disadvantaged students” does provide a clue that he might indeed — along with his patron, Arab Prince Alwaleed bin Talal — have taken an interest in the “genius” Barack Obama.

It also might be considered more than coincidence that the author of that 1979 newspaper column was from Chicago, where Barack Obama settled in 1986 a few years after his stint at Columbia University. It is certainly surprising that the author of that column was none other than Vernon Jarrett, the future (and later former) father-in-law of Valerie Jarrett, who ultimately became the consigliatore of the Obama White House.

It is also noteworthy that Vernon Jarrett was one of the best friends and a colleague of Frank Marshall Davis, the former Chicago journalist and lifelong communist who moved to Hawaii in the late 1940s and years later befriended Stanley and Madelyn Dunham and their daughter Stanley Ann, the mother of Barack Obama. (4)

And to anyone who has the modicum of a spark of curiosity, it is surely intriguing that Frank Davis took an active role in the rearing of young Barack from the age of 10 until he turned 18 and left Hawaii for his first year of college at Occidental College in Los Angeles. (5)

It is also at least suggestive that Obama began that college education as a member of the highly international student body of Occidental College in 1979, the same year when Vernon Jarrett was touting the college aid program being funded by OPEC and possibly Prince Alwaleed. The fact that President Obama has studiously avoided releasing records of his college years is suggestive also, but has no evidentiary value in the present discussion. (6)

Our very first "low information" president

America's Most Miserable Cities

Guess what #10 is?

And guess which party runs them?

20 cities

You know those "sin taxes" that Democrats love to create?

Turns out they don't much help anyone and might actually hurt!
In his study, The Wages of Sin Taxes, Chris Snowdon reveals that these taxes not only do little to limit the use of “bad” products, they do nothing to reduce societal costs. Most remarkably, Snowdon demonstrates that those shockingly large estimates of the costs that the consumption of alcohol, tobacco, sugar, and fat supposedly impose on society have little basis in reality.

As Snowdon shows, the myth that “sinners”—those who drink, smoke, and eat unhealthful foods—cost more to society than everyone else has been perpetuated in large part because “government has no incentive to tell the public that these groups are being exploited and the affected industries dare not advertise the savings that come from lives being cut short by excessive use of their products.” We have been down this road before—first it was the campaign against alcohol, then onto tobacco and other products.

As The Wages of Sin Taxes brilliantly demonstrates, sin taxes do not promote public safety and do nothing to reduce costs to society, and fleece taxpayers. Certainly, many sin tax proponents genuinely wish to improve the health of their fellow man and view these price increases as an unobtrusive way to achieve that goal. Yet, even when we set aside the argument about the morality of government interfering in individual choices, Snowdon demonstrates that these policies do not have the outcome they intend and in many cases cause greater harm to those they are meant to help.

Ted Cruz: Lightning Rod

Cruz has become a lightning rod, and all because he’s daring to do what he promised during his campaign for the Senate. That simple act of integrity has set him apart from the pack. Most politicians know what to say to get elected but then arrive in Washington with no real spine — or in many cases, no intention of ever doing what they promised.

Not Cruz. He’s proved himself an effective advocate for the founding principles that made our nation great: personal freedom and responsibility, local control and adherence to the law as it is written, not the way some politicians wish it was written.

Absolute proof that mainstream Republicans have lost their minds

I never miss Daniel Greenfield's Friday Afternoon Roundup at Sultan Knish.
Others put the Republican problem in starker terms. "They are just a party of white people" was the consensus among all the noted white people at both the New Republic and MSNBC.

However, David Brooks, a neoconservative commentator at The New York Times, believes the Republicans can easily get back in the game if they nominate Barack Obama as their 2016 Presidential candidate.

"Obama already has everything the Republicans lack - hipness, coolness, social media outreach, modern communications expertise, a huge database of supporters, a crackerjack campaign organization, and an unlimited supply of deep-pocketed donors," Brooks writes. "It would take the GOP decades to match any one of those. The failure of Romney's ORCA last fall shows how hopelessly behind they are."

A GOP insider, who wished to remain anonymous, agrees: "The media's love of Mr. Obama is worth ten points in and of itself. They loathe every single one of the GOP candidates - black, white, yellow, or brown - but they love Barack Obama. Republicans could never hope to close the gap working against such a cultural disadvantage, unless they choose Obama as their standard bearer.
GOP's Path Back to Power: Nominate Obama in 2016
The article quoted by Daniel Greenfield finished thus:
"The Tea Party is so 2010. Conservatism is stuck in the 20th century. . .

"It's fine to be standing for principles," the source continued, "but you can't eat principles at a five star restaurant. It all comes down to this: do you want to do the right thing or do you want to win?"

While according to the Constitution, Obama will no longer be eligible in 2016 after having served two terms, the GOP insider was hopeful: "After eight years of his presidency, do you really think anybody will care anymore what the Constitution says?"

A number of veterans got letters from the department of veterans affairs [U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs] advising them that the government intends to make a determination, whether they are allowed to carry guns. If the government arbitrarily decides that they are not fit, the veterans will be deprived from exercising their second amendment rights and will be punished if caught caring guns.

See actual wording below:
“A determination of incompetency will prohibit you from purchasing, possessing, receiving, or transporting a firearm or ammunition. Veterans are a group that represents the biggest threat to the Inonesian/Kenyan usurper Obama, who is currently hard at work destroying the U.S. economy and the civil rights of the U.S. citizens, so the Department of Veterans Affairs is launching an assault on veterans by stripping them of their rights.

It is my belief that martial law, or a “police state,” is the end goal of this administration.

So why are all of these very prominent executives cashing out all of a sudden?

The Big Dogs On Wall Street Are Starting To Get Very Nervous
That is a very good question.

Meanwhile, some of the most respected names on Wall Street are warning that it is time to get out of the market.

Why POLITICO wasn't invited to Obama's off-the-record meeting with top White House reporters today

Obama, the puppet master

Obama boasted Thursday during a Google+ Hangout from the White House:
“This is the most transparent administration in history.”
The people who cover him day to day see it very differently.
“The way the president’s availability to the press has shrunk in the last two years is a disgrace,”
“The president’s day-to-day policy development — on immigration, on guns — is almost totally opaque to the reporters trying to do a responsible job of covering it. There are no readouts from big meetings he has with people from the outside, and many of them aren’t even on his schedule. This is different from every president I covered. This White House goes to extreme lengths to keep the press away.”
said ABC News White House reporter Ann Compton, who has covered every president back to Gerald R. Ford.
“This administration loves to boast about how transparent they are, but they’re transparent about things they want to be transparent about,”
said Mark Knoller, the veteran CBS News reporter.

They are also masters of scrutiny avoidance. The president has not granted an interview to print reporters at The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, POLITICO and others in years. These are the reporters who are often most likely to ask tough, unpredictable questions.

Check out some of these store closing numbers for 2013

Retail Apocalypse: Why Are Major Retail Chains All Over America Collapsing?

When you step back and take a look at the bigger picture, the rapid decline of some of our largest retail chains really is stunning.

It is happening already in some areas, but soon half empty malls and boarded up storefronts will litter the landscapes of cities all over America.

Just check out some of these store closing numbers for 2013.  These numbers are from a recent Yahoo Finance article...

Best Buy
Forecast store closings: 200 to 250
Sears Holding Corp.
Forecast store closings: Kmart 175 to 225, Sears 100 to 125
J.C. Penney
Forecast store closings: 300 to 350
Office Depot
Forecast store closings: 125 to 150
Barnes & Noble
Forecast store closings: 190 to 240, per company comments
Forecast store closings: 500 to 600
Forecast store closings: 150 to 175
Forecast store closings: 450 to 550

But the truth is that those store closings are not the entire story.  When you dig deeper you find a lot more retailers that are in trouble.

Who Needs the Family?

Excerpt from Sultan Knish | Daniel Greenfield:
The state replaced the family. It told men and women that they no longer needed to make permanent commitments to each or to their parents and children. So long as they paid their taxes, the state would bear the burden of their commitments. And so men and women gave up on each other, parents gave up on their children and children gave up on their parents, the family fell apart and now the state that took its place is also falling apart.

A building cannot be built on nothing. The tallest tower is only as strong as its foundation. A skyscraper may touch the sky, but it is its grip on the ground that truly counts. A civilization may reach for the sky and the stars, but it is sustained by the soil of the family and the roots of the basic social structures created by individuals perpetuating individuals, not the gargantuan social mechanisms of the state.

When a civilization destroys its families, then it destroys itself. A man cannot cut out his own heart and live. A society cannot destroy its own capacity for life and regeneration, and continue on blithely occupying itself with the wars on obesity, poverty, racism, cough syrup and gendered pronouns. The state may seem impressive, but it is only a scheme by which people pay officials to make life better for them. When the number of people begins to decline while the number of officials increases, then the man touches the place where his empty heart was, stumbles and falls.

HAT TIP: Mark Perry

Last of the B-52 gunners

The Black Vault:

In 1986, Dailey completed Aerial Gunnery Training in then-Castle Air Force Base, Calif. He then served as a tail gunner on board the B-52 Stratofortress.

As part of SAC's Single Integrated Operational Plan for nuclear deterrence in the Cold War, Dailey served as a briefer for various missions, including for the SAC commander on five separate occasions.

"For the next four years, I flew just shy of 1,000 hours as a gunner," he said.

Dailey then volunteered for retraining into Intelligence, beginning a career that would take him with special operations forces in assignments around the world like Africa, Afghanistan and South Korea.

And in the same year the Soviet Union collapsed, the Air Force retired the Air Force specialty career of B-52 gunner in 1991. SAC later became inactivated as a major command the following year.

As of today, many B-52 gunners have retired or currently serve in other fields as part of the Reserve since their former careerfield's inactivation. But Dailey's retirement did not focus on being the last-of-a-kind as much as it highlighted the importance of being part of a team, a family and a legacy of service.

Do not blow this off.

We're talking about relationships of all kinds: with God... with people...with your animals...with nature...even with government (which is, after all, only a collection of human beings--as much as some people wish to deify this entity).

Every living creature is entwined in a myriad of them, both known and unknown. Picture yourself in the midst of a multi- dimensional grid of light and energy.

Our relationships are profound, enriching, invaluable, dynamic, evolving and mysterious...and they may not all be in good shape.

Pay more attention to all of them!

Can you think of ANYTHING else that is the secret of life???

I have come to believe that "relationships" are not just an important PART of life, but that they ARE life.

"For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." [Matthew 18:20]

No, this isn’t a joke. It is not exaggeration or hyperbole. If you are in ten states in the United States, your some of your rights guaranteed by the Bill of Rights have been made null and void.

And it is not just those ten states. Those are just the states where everyone who lives in those states has lost some of their Constitutional Rights. The sad truth is that there are only fourteen states where this stripping of the rights of American citizens has not happened.

The American Humane Association’s 2012 Hero Dog of the Year, Gabe, has lost his battle with cancer and passed away on Wednesday.

"Dedicated to the life and love of God's sweet creation, Gabe. I wouldn't wish to shed an ounce of the pain your loss has left, if it meant never having the privilege of knowing you, as I did."

Gabe was rescued as a puppy from a Houston shelter just one day before he was going to be euthanized. He deployed to Iraq in 2006 with Sgt. 1st Class Charles “Chuck” Shuck. The two survived 210 combat missions. Last year Gabe retired and started campaigning for the Hero Dog of the Year. The award won thousands of dollars for the nonprofit United States War Dog Association, sending care packages to military dogs and their handlers fighting in Afghanistan. Gabe was 10-years-old when he passed away.

On Tuesday, Gabe stopped eating and Sgt. Shuck knew things weren’t right. He started to have difficulty breathing and was taken to the animal emergency hospital. Gabe had been suffering from hemangiosarcoma, cancer in his liver and spleen. The cancer had spread too far, and on Wednesday Gabe was put to rest after he was surrounded by his favorite toys, snacks and his medals. . .

Gabe’s final days accrued thousands in medical bills. Anyone wishing to donate to help with the costs can send money to Chuck and Gabe’s address at:

9574 Windsor Lake Boulevard

Columbia, SC 29223

All additional funds raised will go to other animals in need.

Cruise ships: disgusting and revolting

We've had friends try to convince us that cruise ships are wonderful, but we just keep running into these kinds of stories (more and more in the last several years).

Sorry, but it only takes one story of vomit (and there are plenty) to make me wonder just how well anyone cleans up the nooks and crannies in a cruise ship. I mean, there are police cars that always stink after one drunk vomits in them and they can never get rid of that smell!

You have to be old, but does anyone remember the Saturday Night Live skit about the cleaning people putting the nice paper wrappers on each and every toilet seat in a hotel/motel?

Cruise hell: 'sewage running down walls and savages fighting over dwindling food supplies'

This is the consequence of aliens breeding with sheep and jack-asses.

The year was 1947
Some of you will recall that on July 8, 1947, a little more than 64 years ago, numerous witnesses claim that an Unidentified Flying Object, (UFO), with five aliens aboard, crashed onto a sheep and mule ranch just outside Roswell , New Mexico.

This is a well-known incident that many say has long been covered-up by the U.S. Air Force, as well as other Federal Agencies and Organizations.

However, What you may NOT know is that in the month of April, year 1948, nine months after the historic day, the following people were born:

Barrack Obama Sr.
Albert A. Gore, Jr.
Hillary Rodham
William J. Clinton
John F. Kerry
Howard Dean
Nancy Pelosi
Dianne Feinstein
Charles E. Schumer
Barbara Boxer
Joe Biden

This is the consequence of aliens breeding with sheep and jack-asses.

I truly hope this bit of information clears up a lot of things for you.
It certainly did for me.

And now you can stop wondering why they support the bill to help all Illegal Aliens.

Like everyone, I am certainly taken aback by the Pope's abdication. The confluence of events happening right now is definitely frightening. But, I and many others have seen this coming for years. I knew we were in for big, big trouble with the usurpation by the Obama putsch regime in 2008. So, why be shocked now that it is coming to a head? I guess all of us have a little bit of normalcy bias and denial going on in our heads.

The papal abdication is very grim in my eyes. The precedent being set is horrible - the Pope will almost always be an "old man". If being an "old man" is a disqualifier, then ... who can be Pope? I have heard many conspiracy theories ranging from the slightly plausible to the patently absurd (shape-shifting lizard people, anyone?). Here is the BEST CASE scenario I can come up with - and bear in mind, I have no idea, I'm just saying this is the BEST CASE scenario: The Pope has been diagnosed with something that will eventually turn into dementia or some other form of incapacitation, and having seen John Paul II's descent into incapacitation and the vulnerability therein, B-16 is abdicating because he knows there is no one around him that will protect him in the way that he, as then-Cardinal Ratzinger, was able to effectively protect JPII from the nefarious actors around him - and we KNOW that there are nefarious actors very high up within the Vatican. This is why I keep harping and harping on the INFILTRATION by Communist-homosexualists. It is absolutely FOR REAL.

Again, what I have just laid out is not fact or knowledge on my part. It is simply the best-case scenario in my mind. Ugh.

For those of you who are harping on this as being "the end of the Church", um, you might want to go ahead and walk that back, because you are calling Christ Almighty a liar. What part of "and the gates of hell will not prevail against it" are we struggling to understand? The Church may get right up to the Gates of hell, but hell will never prevail. B-16 himself said a couple of years ago that the Church would become very "compact". I shudder at what he knows - especially after this. As I told someone not too long ago, so long as ONE valid Mass is said somewhere on earth per day, the Church will exist. The person I said that to winced and recoiled in horror. Yup. But remember, we have it coming. God knows we have it coming. Let His Justice be exacted. Whatever it takes to end this culture of child sacrifice and sodomy. This cannot go on.

On a personal note, the Petrine Primacy was the last hurdle I cleared in my conversion, and now it is a keystone in my faith. And do you know who explained it to me? It was my cattle marketing mentor, Bud Williams, who died just recently. Bud was not a religious man, but the Holy Spirit speaks through whomever it pleases Him to speak. Bud was extremely savvy when it came to management of PEOPLE. He was extremely perceptive and knew how to get the best out of people in the work environment. One evening, while sitting in Bud's living room, Bud began talking about feedyard management. I was in the process of converting to Catholicism, but was still not 100% sold, as I was still struggling with the whole papacy thing. As I was sitting there listening to Bud, he said one of the more profound things I ever heard him say (and that is saying something). He said, "When you are running a feedyard - or really trying to do ANYTHING involving a group of people together, SOMEONE HAS GOT TO BE IN CHARGE."

BAM. Like a punch in the face. I sat on that sofa with the word "PETER" pounding in my mind as Bud fleshed out his premise, and I absolutely knew that he was right.

It would have been utterly CRUEL for Our Lord to NOT establish the Petrine Primacy, and leave His Bride with no leadership, and thus total chaos. Not only did Our Lord establish that leadership, but He also sent the Paraclete to safeguard the Pope through the brilliantly subtle negative-protection dynamic of papal infallibility. And we know that it works because there have been six or so truly terrible popes in history, but not one of them ever made a false declaration on faith or morals speaking ex cathedra (that is officially, "from the chair"). The bad popes were too busy fornicating and scheming to ever bother with anything theological. So even the nasties never declared their own sins "licit" - which is utterly miraculous if you think about it, because that is the genesis of all of the heresies and schisms, like Luther wanting to have sex with Katarina von Bora, or Henry VIII wanting to dump whichever wife he was sick of and move on to the next concubine and have everyone applaud him for it.

Yep. I'm with Peter. To the end. Because Peter has the keys because Our Lord gave them to him, and Peter is the Rock because Our Lord said he was, and Peter loves Our Lord, and Our Lord loves Peter. Even if some of Peter's successors don't live up to their dignity. Remember, even Peter himself failed to live up to his dignity. He didn't fully unwind his betrayal of Our Lord until he himself was crucified.

First Black Pope? Sign of End Times? - UPDATE

My favorite Negro spiritual:

How Democrats' wishful thinking has damaged America

As Americans prepare for the full force of the Affordable Care Act to take effect next year, many are only now beginning to realize how profoundly wrong the “affordable” part of the name will prove. Wishful thinking was enough to get the law passed in 2010, but it won’t change the reality when the law takes effect in 2014.

Amazing unseen footage of WWII Japanese surrender

9-2-1945 Japanese Surrender - Priceless

This film is believed to have never been seen before, only shots of the surrender were known. If you are a history buff you will enjoy this. General McArthur's voice is a rarity in these old news film clips. Japanese Surrender- Amazing Footage. This is a 'must see' for the WWII history buff or anyone interested in history. This is an actual film made of the surrender ceremony of the Japanese to McArthur in Tokyo Bay in September 1945. Actual voice of the General. Never been shown to the general public before. We always saw the "stills" but never the film itself:

Operation Thunderdome: "What we are about to experience will be like the Civil War, only worse."

It’s maybe 50 or 60 pages, I’m not certain. It describes an economic collapse in the U.S., followed by an attack on the government by “a made-up patriotic group.” It combines gun owners, Constitutionalists, and even Christians into an enemy group that pulls off an attack in Washington. But don’t fall into the trap of trying to pick the time of these events. Their plans are flexible, but their objectives are carved in stone.
DHS Insider: Obama’s cyber warriors & preparing for collapse
Two days after the inauguration, at exactly 7:00 a.m. on January 23, something called “the Cyber-Warriors for Obama Project” was activated. I heard about this the week after the election, but only saw a hardcopy draft in late December. From what I was told, I believe this is a project that is being paid for through funds from Obama’s political corporation, the 501(c)4 Organizing for Obama, I believe it’s called. I can’t be sure, but that’s what I was told. . .

The sudden collapse of the U.S. dollar (however it actually plays out) and everything that goes with it (such as social chaos and riots) will be one part of a plan that was set in motion a long time ago. . .

Like I said, it’s been in the works most recently since the 1990s. A collapse does not happen without a lot of pain -people losing everything in their retirement accounts, savings and so on. Don’t you think that will cause one hell of a national security problem? And who is running our national or domestic security? DHS. . .

Think about Obama’s mother working in microfinance with Timothy Geithner’s father. What are the odds? And that’s just one “coincidence.”

FDIC "protection" now capped at $250,000 - UPDATE

Ann Barnhardt modified her FDIC statement but still includes warning:
Point taken on the FDIC post. It is probably still PER INDIVIDUAL PER INSTITUTION, not per individual across institutions - at least that section is still on the FDIC website (thanks for sending those citations in), however, my other point still overshadows that point: the FDIC only has a few billion in assets against ten trillion in customer deposits, with the big-5 banks having over a trillion in customer money each. The big point is, the FDIC is not in any realistic sense any sort of protection.
More FDIC Smoke and Mirrors
Posted by Ann Barnhardt - February 8, AD 2013 8:47 AM MST

A reader sent this in. Effective December 31, 2012, FDIC insurance became AGGREGATED with a maximum PER OWNER cap of $250,000.

Many of you are under the impression that FDIC protection is per account, and thus if you just keep your money spread around and never keep more that a quarter-mil in cash in any one bank that you are "safe".

Nope. It is tied to your Social Security number / Tax ID number now.

And remember, total bank deposits in the U.S. are somewhere around TEN TRILLION DOLLARS and the FDIC deposit insurance fund as of March 31, 2012 had a whopping $15 BILLION.

Bottom line: if you think your bank deposits are "insured" or "safe" because of FDIC protection, you're totally irrational.

December 31, 2012 As scheduled, the unlimited insurance coverage for noninterest-bearing transaction accounts provided under the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act expired on December 31, 2012. Deposits held in noninterest-bearing transaction account are now aggregated with any interest-bearing deposits the owner may hold in the same ownership category, and the combined total insured up to at least $250,000.

Obama's little soldiers

BIG NEWS: Obama Waives Bush Law Banning Child Soldiers
Over the weekend, while most Americans were too busy spending time with their children and keeping up with the latest sporting events to worry about executive orders, President Obama removed the teeth from this law; effectively making it void in the nations most guilty. The result - thousands of children throughout the Middle East and Africa may be drafted into foreign militaries, with the full blessings of the United States.

The federal government is, in practice, a one-party state controlled by an oligarchy, which is a relatively small group, composed of financiers, politicians and journalists.

The oligarchy is roughly divided into two types of individuals: ideologues and pragmatists...

 “Equality” Programs Aren’t Working
                    But Our USA Plan Will

Dick McDonald

Blacks have seen their annual income drop in President Obama’s first four years by almost $7,000 a year - all workers have experienced a drop of over $4,000 a year. Although President Obama recently claimed that the main goal of his second term is equality that same goal obviously didn’t work for him in his first term. But let’s be fair; not everything is Obama’s fault.

The facts are that over the last 44 years government has spent over $16 trillion on welfare, entitlements and means-tested programs in their “War on Poverty”. Predictably a greater percentage of Americans are in poverty today than when that “war” began. Predictably because government doesn’t create wealth it consumes and depletes it.  It only redistributes what wealth is left over after it takes its cut.

So when the “progressive” New York Times contends we need to rethink antipoverty policy we know their suggestions won’t work because their philosophy begins and ends with government as the vehicle where all wrongs are righted. And again government does not create wealth it consumes and depletes it through taxation and regulation.

However, NYT op-ed writer Nicholas Kristof recently pinpointed part of the problem when he opined that welfare and entitlement programs have only “addressed symptoms of poverty, not causes.” Unfortunately in his article he advances a .01% solution to a 100% problem. That was to spend more government money on the early development of children living in low-income zip codes.

That will be microscopically helpful in 15 to 20 years. It surely doesn’t address the problem now and that problem is poverty.  No one is saying that welfare and entitlements haven’t helped those living in poverty. What we do say at the Prosperity Commission is that we have to find a way to make the poor rich or comfortably so.  Until we do the problem of poverty and the ever-increasing $138 trillion of funded and unfunded national debt won’t go away.  It will progressively become more fatal to our way of life.

Most great wealth in America is created by investment. To prove that ask yourself where pensions invest their money. Investment in the stock market is where 98% of our pension assets are employed. Therefore the trick to making the poor wealthy is by their making an investment in the stock market and letting their investment accumulate, compound and grow over their working life into a sizeable nest egg.

That presents two problems. First where are they going to get the money to invest?  And second will they be willing to let that money remain invested for their entire working life in order to achieve the eventual goal of comfortable wealth for themselves, their families and their kids..

Those questions are answered along with a myriad of others at .  The ultimate result of the plan is that eventually the average American citizen will end up with a $4 million nest egg (today’s rate) and a $33,333 a-month retirement check.  Its enactment will immediately result in cutting the national debt from $138 trillion to $30 trillion and the creation of millions of jobs almost overnight.

The eradication of poverty is eons easier than to flying to the moon – and we already did that.
