Jack Macidull weighs in with his investigative past (NTSB and then the FAA where we know he was associated with the Challenger Loss). His work on the investigation into the Challenger and subsequent Columbia loss is reflected in his book, In the Shadow of the Challenger. Unknown to many, he also did some work for the Italians concerning the mysterious disappearance of an Airliner within missile range of Libya.
As you know, I've investigated aircraft accidents for thirty years including at the highest of U.S. and foreign government levels. My evaluation to date of TWA 800 includes and adresses this discipline with a focus on the purpose of virtually all investigations. This is, "To prevent future similar occurences." Simply burying the dead may be the extent of what other cultures do. It is not the extent and limit that a vibrant, life-enhancing culture like the United States of America. We want to prevent the same tragedy from happening again. In order to do this we have to start with the "what". What happened? What hard data, wreckage, material, forensic, and human data is available and obtainable. The "Who" and "Why" questions have to follow the facts. It is easy to get sidetracked into small inuendo, opinion, and areas of blame before all the facts are in. And, though it is often in human nature to be more subjective that objective, it is also important to realize during the process of gathering the 'what' information that some opinions, observations, and especially obfuscations relative to fact finding are facts in and of themselves.
For example, during the Challenger investigation an FBI agent I knew was also assigned to that Presidential Commission, and I later asked him about the then 120 eyewitnesses according to the news on TWA 800. Specifically, I asked where the FBI witness sight vector trajectory report of what they had seen was. He said that the FBI determined that only 32 of the 120 witnesses were considered to be credible, and thus there were not enough for an analysis. I then asked for the FBI's criteria for witness credibility and the determining number required. Though none of this information was provided, this was a fact that answered the next obvious question, which was why the FBI was 'in charge' of the investigation in the first place?
Fact: The FBI had no legal authority, nor was it equipped to investigate airline accidents in United States territory.
Fact: The Independent Safety Board Act, 1974 (Public Law 93-633) gave the NTSB aircraft accident investigative authority over all other Government organizations, and is "totally separate and independent from any other department, bureau, commission, or agency of the United States."
Historically, and in practice up until TWA 800, every accident aircraft in the United States was 'owned' by the NTSB when it hit the ground or water for the purpose of accident investigation. Only when and if the NTSB determined that nature, mechanical failure, or human error were not causes or contributing factors to the mishap, they have also determined that the mishap was not an accident. The NTSB mandate only includes accidents. In these cases the investigation has been entirely turned over to the FBI whose legal mandate include acts of terrorism and sabotage. Therefore from the beginning, the TWA 'accident' investigation was conducted, with the 'help' of the NTSB by the FBI. They, the FBI, determined what witnesses were credible, and controlled all eyewitness account information. Radar primary and secondary and satellite information were never a matter of public record. Naval records were not made public in any form. At the same time, the NTSB was kept in the FBI investigation process to add credibility to what the cause of the accident may have been.
Initial physical facts of the 'what" of TWA 800: At night, at minimum 120 eyewitnesses on the ground, the water, and in the air saw all or parts of a sequence of events at the same time that took place in the air. Individually and collectively they saw a stream or beam of light nearly as long as a normal full moon is wide. They saw this stream of light rise from near the surface of the ocean water to a place higher up in the sky. This light ended at an observed place in the sky where a fireball instantly took its place in the sky. Wreckage and passengers of TWA 800 were subsequently found on the ocean and ocean floor directly under where this fireball was reported to have been through witness time and triangulation records. These eyewitness accounts are identitical to that of any flame-gas propelled rocket or missile that is guided toward an airborne object. These eyewitness accounts are also identical to any airborne object exploding as a result of the detonation of explosive material inside or near it. Physical evidence of recovered, identified parts of the TWA 800 aircraft were of the aircraft in several pieces. The positions of many of these pieces on the ocean floor were pieces that did not become pieces after impact with the ocean. They became pieces while TWA 800 was in the air, and were spread on the ocean floor farther apart from connecting pieces than was possible with ocean currents or drift during the time before recovery.
Fact: No B-747s were ever grounded for an inspection of possible central fuel tank failures or possible system failures. In the past if an aircraft component or system is suspected as a cause of a catastrophe, all similar U.S. manufactured aircraft are grounded by the FAA for inspection worldwide by the followng day.
Fact: Surface to Air and Air to Air guided missiles have proximity fuses, contact fuses, post penetration fuses, or a combinatiion thereof. To publicly state that metallurgical analysis proved an internal explosion from the central fuel tank area does not elimeinate the obvious possibility of a normal post penetration fuse activation prior to an explosion. What it does say is that there was no missile expert involved in the forensic analysis of wreckage, nor any metallurgical analysis of metal bending first in then out from the fuselage area as would happen with a post penetration fused missile. Nor was there any information on what kind of surface to air missiles were in the area at the time.
Fact: No publicly known amount of monetary survivor compensatiion: Who has the money for such things? The FAA. The Navy? TWA 800 was built by Boeing. Boeing has a 'blanket' insurance program for survivor compensation regardless of fault. Who can be sued? The same type policy was enacted after the Air Florida B-737 accident. Boeing paid survivors (and lawyers) over $35M , even though it was proven factually that the B-737 was beyond a shadow of a doubt not at fault.
Fact: All eyewitness accounts were discounted. Saying they were not discounted does not produce a triangulation and time analysis summary of how many saw what, where they were, and when they were there.
Fact: There was no formal report as required from the NTSB for accidents with both causes and contributing factors included therein.
Fact: There was no formal report as not required from the FBI for anything.
Fact: The NTSB did not excersise its legal mandate. The NTSB was created to prevent future similar accidents. To do this it had to be given the authority of being independent, unbiased, and without vested interest except to determine the cause of accidents and to make recommendations to the FAA for legal considerations. Instead of finding a cause to an accident, they, under the guise of the FBI focused on trying to find if there had been an accident at all. Failing to do this, coupled with the FBI also focusing outside thier mandate in trying to find an accident in the facts they allowed, the entire effort was left in a fog of non-fault, non-accident, non-sabotage, non-terrorism, non-human error, and non determination of anything that could possibly prevent a future similar tragedy.
Personal conclusions: TWA 800 was struck and destroyed by a surface-to-air missile. This missile was either human-guided, or launch-and-forget self-guided after target acquisition and launch by a human. This launch was either intentional or by mistake. The 'who' and 'why' of this missile launch remain unknown at this time. Some of the obfuscation and cover-up of determining information was made by known government organizations. These organizations had identifiable people in them who had positiions of authority at the time. Since no one was 'in charge' of the investigation, it remains an accident that was not determined to be an accident by an organization that was only responsible for non-accidents, under the guise of determining the cause of a non accident described as an accident with the self assigned authority to stipulate that the whole effort was not in their area of authority.

Like Barack Hussein Obama II, I am a graduate of Harvard Law School . I too have Muslims in my family. I am black, and I was once a leftist Democrat. Since our backgrounds are somewhat similar, I perceive something in Obama's policy toward Israel which people without that background may not see. All my life I have witnessed a strain of anti-Semitism in the black community. It has been fueled by the rise of the Nation of Islam and Louis Farrakhan, but it predates that organization.
We heard it in Jesse Jackson's “HYMIE town” remark years ago during his presidential campaign. We heard it most recently in Jeremiah Wright's remark about “them Jews” not allowing Obama to speak with him. I hear it from my own Muslim family members who see the problem in the Middle East as a “Jew” problem.
Growing up in a small, predominantly black urban community in Pennsylvania , I heard the comments about Jewish shop owners. They were “greedy cheaters” who could not be trusted, according to my family and others in the neighborhood. I was too young to understand what it means to be Jewish, or know that I was hearing anti-Semitism. These people seemed nice enough to me, but others said they were “evil”. Sadly, this bigotry has yet to be eradicated from the black community.
In Chicago , the anti-Jewish sentiment among black people is even more pronounced because of the direct influence of Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam. Most African Americans are not followers of “The Nation”, but many have a quiet respect for its leader because, they say, “he speaks the truth” and “stands up for the black man”. What they mean of course is that he viciously attacks the perceived “enemies” of the black community – white people and Jews. Even some self-described Christians buy into his demagoguery.
The question is whether Obama, given his Muslim roots and experience in Farrakhan's Chicago , shares this antipathy for Israel and Jewish people. Is there any evidence that he does? First, the President was taught for twenty years by a virulent anti-Semite, the Reverend Jeremiah Wright. In the black community it is called “sitting under”. You don't merely attend a church, you “sit under” a Pastor to be taught and mentored by him. Obama “sat under” Wright for a very long time. He was comfortable enough with Farrakhan – Wright's friend – to attend and help organize his “Million Man March”. I was on C-Span the morning of the march arguing that we must never legitimize a racist and anti-Semite, no matter what “good” he claims to be doing. Yet a future President was in the crowd giving Farrakhan his enthusiastic support.
The classic left wing view is that Israel is the oppressive occupier, and the Palestinians are Israel 's victims. Obama is clearly sympathetic to this view. In speaking to the “Muslim World, “he did not address the widespread Islamic hatred of Jews. Instead he attacked Israel over the growth of West Bank settlements. Surely he knows that settlements are not the crux of the problem. The absolute refusal of the Palestinians to accept Israel 's right to exist as a Jewish state is the insurmountable obstacle. That's where the pressure needs to be placed, but this President sees it differently. He also made the preposterous comparison of the Holocaust to Palestinian “dislocation”.
Obama clearly has Muslim sensibilities. He sees the world and Israel from a Muslim perspective. His construct of “The Muslim World” is unique in modern diplomacy. It is said that only The Muslim Brotherhood and other radical elements of the religion use that concept. It is a call to unify Muslims around the world. It is rather odd to hear an American President use it. In doing so he reveals more about his thinking than he intends. The dramatic policy reversal of joining the unrelentingly anti-Semitic, anti-Israel and pro-Islamic UN Human Rights Council is in keeping with the President's truest – albeit undeclared red – sensibilities
Those who are paying attention and thinking about these issues do not find it unreasonable to consider that President Obama is influenced by a strain of anti-Semitism picked up from the black community, his leftist friends and colleagues, his Muslim associations and his long period of mentor-ship under Jeremiah Wright. If this conclusion is accurate, Israel has some dark days ahead. For the first time in her history, she may find the President of the United States siding with her enemies. Those who believe, as I do, that Israel must be protected had better be ready for the fight. We are.

The ad was produced by Sojourners, a self-described "evangelical" organization whose slogan is "Faith in Action for Social Justice." The ad was signed by Sojourners president Jim Wallis and more than two dozen Religious Left pastors, theologians, and activists. They urge our legislators to ask themselves, "What would Jesus cut?" from the federal budget.
How would you answer that question? My answer would be, "It's a nonsense question. Your premise is faulty. Your priorities are not His priorities."

When you read the letter, you’ll see it. I said, “This is most likely going to be the end of the Democrat Party.” The letter is two pages. The point is that I think this letter scared them, especially when they saw plausible deniability, and I think they realized I’m right. When I defined “plausible deniability” on the affidavit, they said that middle management either is inaccessible or impossible to interrogate because they’ve beat the scene or they’re dead. It’s one or the other; that’s what happens with criminal organizations to protect the leadership.

Current law says Uncle Sam cannot borrow more than $14.3 trillion. A few months back, the Obama Administration demanded that Congress increase the national credit line by $2.5 trillion by May 16, or else, it warned, the United States would default on its debts, causing an “economic Armageddon.” ($2.5 trillion is just enough to aver the need for another debt hike until after the 2012 election.)
When May 16 came and went, and nothing happened, the Obama team set a new “Armageddon” date: August 2.
Unfortunately, a lot of folks in Washington and Wall Street – including some who should know better — seem to be taking this new deadline at face value. While it’s true that, at some point, the government will hit the ceiling and have to reduce spending by about 40 percent, exactly when that day will arrive, nobody knows for sure. And don’t believe anyone who tells you he does know. “No man knows the day or the hour.”
Maxed Out Day could be August 2. It could be August 22. Or it could be in September. The exact date really depends on whether the President is willing to tap certain reserves available to him, or decides to force a political crisis.
I cannot tell you when Maxed Out Day will be. But I can – and will — prove to you that August 2 doesn’t have to be it. Before I do so, here are three key numbers to remember:
1) We are projected to take in between $170 billion and $200 billion in August, in revenues.
2) We will likely spend about $300 billion in August.
3) Therefore, we face a gap of somewhere between $100 billion and $130 billion.
So what will happen, come the August 2 deadline?

Illegal aliens cost California hospitals more than $1 billion annually
According to the California Hospital Association (CHA), illegal aliens cost hospitals across the state about $1.25 billion a year in unpaid medical care.Read more
The CHA recently stated that $26 million of those costs are absorbed in the eight hospitals in Ventura County alone.
The American Hospital Association (AHA) is asking the Obama administration to compensate hospitals for the care they extend to the millions foreign nationals living in this country illegally.
In June, AHA President Richard Umbdenstock sent a letter to President Obama, reminding him that while federal law requires hospitals to provide emergency care to every patient who walks through the doors, those hospitals are now forced to eat the costs of treating uninsured illegal aliens.
Umbdenstock wrote that the Federal Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act mandates treatment of the unisured “yet federal support for hospitals providing these services to the undocumented population is virtually nonexistent. Many hospitals have had to curtail services, delay implementing services or close beds.”
He continued: “Hospitals should not have to bear the burden.”
Democrats don't care how unfair or unsustainable this is because all they care about is getting the votes! They don't really care about the well-being of the citizens of this country (and this kind of thing is going on everywhere, not just in California).

Republicans and Democrats don’t need to compromise they need to use capitalism with a small amount of social discipline to make the country far more exceptional as well as geometrically more prosperous than it is today.

The private sector in America has proven that when all 300 plus million Americans are able to invent, design, develop and implement their ideas freely our society prospers socially and economically. That prescription has made us the economic and military giant of the planet with just 4.5% of its population.
RUA will make major adjustments that will enable the individual to reacquire the rights and freedoms lost to the emergence of big government over the last century. It will also let capitalism deliver the American Dream to those that are unprepared to compete at the level necessary to insure them of that dream. This will demonstrate to the world that capitalism is not only a system that delivers wealth to the rich but one that delivers wealth to the poor as well. What socialism failed to deliver, capitalism will. Those that refuse to allow this to happen are doomed to the ash heap of history like all social totalitarians that believe man is so deliriously weak he can be convinced to live in a world of equal outcomes for unequal contributions thereby denying his own natural instincts.
RUA will travel a bumpy road with massive opposition from those whose powers and perks will be taken from them.. There are evil men in this world who will work desperately to keep the poor, poor. When opponents put their roadblocks in the way, ask yourself how it was so simple to give “personal accounts” to politicians, Congressmen, Senators and 3.3 million Federal workers through the Thrift Savings Plan and why is it so unconscionable and "wrong" to give them to you? Ask them why these problems didn’t surface when the legislators gave these personal investment accounts to themselves and government workers?
If it was so simple then, what is the problem now? Their answer will never rise to a level that would defeat the concept that capitalism can deliver the poor from poverty; to Make the Poor Rich. In the plan the people use their own money. The Thrift Savings Plan uses your tax dollars to finance their personal accounts; and they have the gall to tell you that you can’t have one using your own money. What a group of fools we Americans have become if we let this opportunity pass. RUA hopes to empower the people and restore some control over their own lives. To give them back the self-respect and self-esteem they have lost to big government.
And lastly don’t let anyone demean the USA and its capability and its exceptionalism. We have a piddling debt to foreigners of $3.4 Trillion and a country worth anywhere from $220 to $400 Trillion. We can afford to transition to personal "USA" accounts easily. Don't let anyone fool you.

In this special video for the Oak Initiative, Kamal Saleem speaks about Shariah Law and how it is taking over the world. Shariah Law is the constitution of Islam, and dictates every move a Muslim should make throughout their life. Kamal also speaks about the three levels of Jihad, or “Holy War” – political, financial, and the sword, or war. Kamal goes into detail about many of the cruelties included in the Shariah Law, including honor killing, which claimed the lives of 6,000 women last year. Shariah Law is even being carried out in the United States, yet one would never hear about it in the media. In America, our constitution desires that we live in peace with every nation, but when you look at the doctrine of Islam, it fights this basic desire. We are enabling Shariah Law on our own land and our watch if we do not stand up for the truth.

Have you noticed that it is nearly impossible to email your Congressman these days? You have to go through web forms, enter personal information, and on and on to send an email. If you want to send a simple message, there are faster ways, and ones that the Congressmen actually read: Facebook Wall Posts and Twitter. Most of you are already familiar with Facebook Wall Posts, so we will not dwell on that, except to say that you may have to "friend" or "like" the Congressman or Senator to be able to post on their wall.
Twitter, for a lot of people, is an enigma. It is strange, has all these "#" signs and people seem to talk in code. Well, we are here to decode it for you so you can message your Congressmen and Senators directly.
First, you need a Twitter account. Go to http://twitter.com and fill out the form on the right of the page with your name, email, and password, to get an account. When you are filling out the forms, let your twitter id be public rather than private. This is important, because when you do tweet your Congressman and Senators, your tweets will be available for the world to see. If people search for your Congressman, they will see how many people are telling them what they want to happen in government. If you want to have a private account for family and friends, then set up a different account for that purpose.
So now I have an account, but what is a "tweet" anyway? Well, it is a small snippet of information that is only 140 characters or less. So, it has to be a short sentence of thought. It seems crazy that people can communicate in such small pieces of information but it really works. It is similar to sending text messages from your phone. However, rather than sending them to one particular person privately, you are allowing the world to see them.
When you jump into Twitter, it is like jumping into a stream or river of information. There is a lot of noise flowing around you and, if you listen hard, you can hear a particular noise or pattern of noise. Just like if you are in the woods by a river, if you listen hard, you might notice there is a deer nearby, drinking from the river.
To "hear" a particular sound on Twitter, people use "hashtags," which are words with the pound symbol before them. Here are a few examples:

#toct - Top Conservatives on Twitter (which helped launch the Tea Party movement)
#sgp - Smart Girl Politics (which helped launch the Tea Party movement)
#TeaParty - generic for Tea Party followers

If you want to send a message to a particular person, like your Congressman or a Senator, you can use the @ symbol, followed by the username (with no spaces between the @ and username), to send a message directly to that person. So, if you want to tell Speaker Bohener and Senator Reid to stop the out of control spending, you would type @speakerboehner and then the message you want to send. If you want to tell Jenny Beth something directly, you would type @jennybethm and type the message to her.
Now that you understand a little about tweets, hashtags, and how to get a person's attention, let's get started tweeting. You can tweet directly through the Twitter interface or through other programs. For simplicity's sake, we will have you tweet directly through Twitter. So, go to twitter.com and you will see a spot to enter your tweet right under the words "What's Happening?" We want to focus on out of control federal spending this week, so that is what our tweets are going to focus on. Here are some examples you can type:

The Dodd-Frank Act is a roadblock to our nation’s recovery
When you add the mountain of new rules required by Dodd-Frank to those of Obamacare, plus the threat of higher taxes caused by Washington’s spending spree, you get an astounding level of apprehension and plunging confidence for employers and their customers. While Dodd-Frank does all this to harm our economy, it unfortunately fails to even address the biggest cause of the financial crisis: the government-sponsored enterprises, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac that fueled the riot of imprudent lending that knocked our economy down to its knees.

About 15 bajillion people have sent me THIS LINK about the Obama regime getting ready to drop hard-core gun control via executive fiat.
I think I know how the Obama regime is eventually going to go about gun control - and this is no original thought of mine as I have heard this from serious people for years. Let's look at the Second Amendment itself:
A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
. . . the right of the people to keep and bear ARMS.
I think they are going to after ammunition. The legal argument will be that you can keep your guns, which is all that is legally covered by the word "ARMS", you just can't have any ammunition, and the Second Amendment does not prohibit the Federal Government from banning or outlawing ammunition in any way - or so they will argue.
It would be much simpler and easier for them to seize and nationalize ammunition manufacturers and stop the importation of ammunition than to overtly seize and nationalize gun manufacturers. Also, by cutting off the supply of ammunition, this would effectively choke off all NEW GUN SALES, because who wants to drop money on a gun if you can't get any ammo for it? This would have the effect of financially ruining gun manufacturers, who would then be primed for either takeover by the government a la GM and Chrysler, OR for a dirt-cheap acquisition by George Soros, et al.
Here is a citation from February 2009 regarding the Obama regime, moving through the State Department, floating the idea to ban the import of .50BMG, 7.62x39mm Soviet, 7.62x51mm NATO, .308 Winchester, 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington. If anyone has any updated info on this tactic, I'd love to post it here as an update.

Mr. Chairman and members of the committee, thank you for inviting me to testify today on taxes and small business job creation.Read more
Numerous provisions affect the tax climate for small businesses, including payroll taxes, capital gains taxes, and the treatment of capital investment. But I will focus on marginal income tax rates because that's where there seems to be the most disagreement and uncertainly about the future direction of tax policy. The Obama administration has proposed increasing the top two individual income tax rates, but that policy would likely have a negative impact on U.S. economic growth.
The administration has offered some narrow and temporary tax breaks for small business job creation, but that is not a promising approach for tax policy. Instead, Congress should focus on creating a simple, neutral, and pro-growth tax structure for all American businesses, large and small. After all, there is no strict separation of large and small businesses in the tax code. Many businesses that report their profits on individual returns are medium and larger businesses.
New jobs are created by fast-growing businesses, whether small or large. A new job at a multinational computer chip maker is certainly as valuable as a new job at the corner restaurant, and probably more durable. Thus, while my remarks focus on tax policies for smaller businesses, large C corporations are also crucial to U.S. economic growth. Policymakers should consider reforms to reduce statutory tax rates on both corporate and noncorporate businesses.1
Responses to High Marginal Tax Rates
The Obama administration is proposing to raise the top two individual income tax rates from 33 and 35 percent to 36 and 39.6 percent, respectively, in 2011. That would likely harm investment, job creation, and growth. Higher marginal tax rates reduce incentives for productive activities, such as working and expanding businesses, and they increase incentives for unproductive activities, such as tax avoidance and evasion.
If income tax rates rise next year, we may not perceive large negative effects right away, but changes in marginal tax rates do affect behavior over the long term. Some high-income workers would decide to work fewer hours and retire a bit earlier. Some spouses in two-earner families would decide to stay out of the workforce. Some angel investors would have less cash to invest in start-up ventures. And some small businesses would decide not to buy new equipment or hire new workers.
How large are the behavioral responses to marginal income tax rate changes? Many empirical studies have found that reported income is quite responsive to the top income tax rates. In a 2009 paper, for example, economists Emmanuel Saez, Joel Slemrod, and Seth Giertz noted that the share of income "received by the top 1 percent of income recipients started to increase precisely after 1981 when marginal tax rates started to decline. The timing of the jump in the share of top incomes from 1986 to 1988 corresponds exactly to the sharp drop in the weighted average marginal tax rates from 45 percent to 29 percent after the Tax Reform Act of 1986. [This] provides circumstantial but quite compelling evidence that high incomes are indeed responsive to marginal tax rates."2
A typical finding is that a tax rate increase that reduces the after-tax share on additional income by 10 percent results in shrinking reported income by about 4 percent.3 For higher earners, empirical studies usually find substantially larger behavioral responses.4 That's because higher-income taxpayers typically have more flexibility on their working decisions and they have greater shares of financial and business income, which are more responsive and mobile than labor income.
A side-effect of these behavioral responses is that governments raise less money than they expect from tax rate increases, particularly at the top end. If Congress raised the top income tax rate from 35 to 39.6 percent, the government would gain 4.6 percentage points on the money in the top bracket. But reported income would fall modestly, and that fall would offset a substantial portion of the revenue gain. In a recent paper, economist Robert Carroll summarized Treasury estimates that modeled changes in the top two income tax rates.5 The results suggest that raising the top two rates would cause reported income of affected taxpayers to fall three percent, which would be enough to offset about 40 percent of the expected static revenue gain.
When considering raising tax rates at the top end, Congress needs to think carefully about who would be hit. Today's highest-earners are generally not passive inheritors of wealth, but are usually self-made and entrepreneurial.6 Business ownership and current earnings are the main sources of wealth for the richest individuals, while inheritances account for less than one-fifth of the assets of the richest people and that share has been declining.7 As economist Glenn Hubbard noted, "when you look at data, you see that people who are rich almost entirely are rich because of entrepreneurial risk taking,"8
Many with high incomes are angel investors, who help to fuel small business expansion. There are at least 300,000 angel investors in the United States, who are often wealthy individuals and have been entrepreneurs themselves.9 They provide an important source of financing for fast-growing small businesses. If their taxes go up, they will have less money and fewer incentives to invest, while perhaps parking more of their funds in tax-free municipal bonds.
In sum, trying to raise revenue by increasing the top income tax rates is a perverse budget strategy. It would hit some of the most talented people in the economy. Since high earners generally have the largest behavioral responses to taxes, the deadweight losses (or costs of inefficiency) of such tax changes would be quite large.10 And since deadweight losses rise more than proportionally as marginal tax rates rise, raising the top rates would be very counterproductive.11

The Center for Security Policy’s report, Shariah Law and American State Courts: An Assessment of State Appellate Court Cases evaluates 50 Appellate Court cases from 23 states that involve conflicts between Shariah (Islamic law) and American state law.
These cases are the stories of Muslim American families, mostly Muslim women and children, who were asking American courts to preserve their rights to equal protection and due process. These families came to America for freedom from the discriminatory and cruel laws of Shariah. When our courts then apply Shariah law in the lives of these families, and deny them equal protection, they are betraying the principles on which America was founded.
The study’s findings suggest that Shariah law has entered into state court decisions, in conflict with the Constitution and state public policy. Some commentators have said there are no more than one or two cases of Shariah law in U.S. state court cases; yet we found 50 significant cases just from the small sample of appellate published cases.
Others have asserted with certainty that state court judges will always reject any foreign law, including Shariah law, when it conflicts with the Constitution or state public policy; yet we found 15 Trial Court cases, and 12 Appellate Court cases, where Shariah was found to be applicable in these particular cases. The facts are the facts: some judges are making decisions deferring to Shariah law even when those decisions conflict with Constitutional protections.

The current controversy over whether to deal with our massive national debt by cutting spending, or whether instead to raise tax rates on "the rich," is a classic example of talking points versus reality.Politics Versus Reality
Most of those who favor simply raising tax rates on "the rich" -- or who say that we cannot afford to allow the Bush "tax cuts for the rich" to continue -- show not the slightest interest in the history of what has actually happened when tax rates were raised to high levels on "the rich," as compared to what has actually happened when there have been "tax cuts for the rich."
As far as such people are concerned, those questions have already been settled by their talking points. Why confuse the issue by digging into empirical evidence about what has actually happened when one policy or the other was followed?

And maybe the White House Personnel Office just happened to stumble across an eager young Muslim university student and, in the interest of greater international understanding, decided to give her an inside look at how our government operates.
And maybe this young woman proved to be such an asset that the First Lady of the United States decided to keep her on through her White House years and into her years as Secretary of State, where she is privy to some of our most closely-guarded national secrets.
All of these things are possible… but not likely. More than likely, Barack Obama, the Abedins, Anthony Weiner, the Clintons, Khalid al-Mansour, and Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, a mixture of Christians, Jews, and Muslims, are all in one way or another joined at the hip.
Like Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, Bill Ayers, and Bernadine Dorhn, they are all members of Barack Obama’s extended political “family,” all willing to see Israel “tossed under the bus.”

Do This for 10 Minutes on the Fourth of July
If you would like to add a very short, symoblic tribute to our wonderful country during your 4th of July celebrations, Dennis Prager has the perfect "ritual" for you (and I think it would be so important for your children to do this every year)!
As for me, I just completed one of my rituals and that is going through the links I've collected (starting the day after Obama won the stupid vote in America) on the right panel of this blog entitled "Join The Second American Revolution!"
There are some amazing people in this country who are doing some amazing things to try and help save our country--please check them out because you are bound to find one or more that are perfect for you to get involved with--and also some especially perfect for our young people.
Happy 4th and God Bless America.
PS: Don't be offended by my reference to the "stupid vote" -- we had friends that literally started waving their arms around and yelling out "La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la" rather than listen to us explain what we found out about Obama through MANY HOURS of tedious research from people like Stanley Kurtz (too many excellent resources to mention at this point, actually--but I blogged about all of them over the years). This was both before and after Obama's election. Most of these people don't have clue about the damage he's been doing these last several years and they still don't want to know.
Now THAT, my friends, is stupid...and dangerous.

A new Harvard University study claims that the Fourth of July has become a "Right Wing celebration." David Yangizawa-Drott of the Kennedy School of Government and Andreas Madestam of Milan, Italy's Bocconi University claim "The political right has been more successful in appropriating American patriotism and its symbols during the 20th century.
The learned professors have it wrong. The political right didn't "appropriate" American patriotism as much as the political left abandoned it.
A residual tragedy of the 1960s was the taint of ideology on patriotism.
"America, love it or leave it!" bumper stickers alienated the anti-Vietnam War/pro-civil rights left, just as protesters burning our flag disgusted the Greatest Generation who had fought and died for that flag.
We have disrespected our flag in a thousand ways. We removed it from our front porches and town squares only to wear it as a bikini top, jock strap or do-rag, or allow hack politicians to wrap themselves in it to pander for votes.
The Harvard study says, "Republican adults celebrate (the) Fourth of July more intensively."
It wasn't always like this. While we've always fought among ourselves over policy and power, we took for granted our mutual love of country.
Last week our national anthem was booed at the Rose Bowl. . .
Finally a national organization has recognized the crime being committed by Obama and his administration!

Clinton waived the background check when he appointed John Haung to Under Sec. of Commerce, under Ron Brown. The orchestrated the fly for pay scam AKA "Travelgate" where for a fee you could BUY a seat on Airforce 1 and visit Chinese businessmen for sales export and import deals. The more you DONATED you more exposure you got... in reality its called TREASON.
John Houng sat in on over a dozen Top Secret US national Security Meetings. It alarmed the FBI when he visited the Chinese Embassy after each one... a sting was set up but just before it was sprung Haung was WARNED and fled the country. Later it was proven he was a Red Chinese Spy, Ron Brown his superior stated he was not going down by himself. That day he was ordered to Bosnia by Clinton. His plane crashed, the man who controlled the runway lights, committed suicide. The Flight Attendant and only survivor of the crash was picked up 4 hours after the crash....but died in route to base...from a severed femoral artery. She could not have gotten that in the crash as she bled out within minutes after being picked up.
Ron Brown was found with a nearly 1/2" round hole in his head. The size of a 45 cal bullet. An Air force X ray Technician did an xray of the head and found bullet fragments inside Browns head. She was ORDERED to destroy the x rays but put them on the internet instead, she was removed. Browns body was ORDERED by the WH not to be autopsied and buried immediately....and it was.
There was Bernard Swartz was able to meet with the Red Chinese and sell them US missile Technology and Guidance Systems from Loral Corporation. Before this 75% of China's missiles blew up on the pad as they launched. With help from Loral and US technology that figure went to 100% success, and made every US city a potential target except the tip of Florida...Clinton made Red China a World Power, and potential successor to the US as world most powerful military.
Clinton also implemented NAFTA which allowed Red China to literally take over America's manufacturing almost overnight.
It was thought that Hillary, a devoted bi-sexual, was having an affair with Huma and they were literally inseparable ...day or night, 24-7....and still are. I look for Weiner to kill himself--that would put Huma in a perfect position as a martyr to take his place as Congressman. Hillary would make that happen.
What better for the Muslims than to have a "spy" in the bed of a outspoken easily controlled lout, and Jewish Congressman... who didn't support Israel. In simple terms it was a perfect fit. She was a loyal soldier, she got anything she wanted from Hillary, and is still "employed".... by Sec. of State Clinton.
When your screwing a US Congressman (who's a pervert and easily blackmailed) and the Sec. of State who's a lesbian....you have access to everything, Huma is the perfect spy, in the perfect place, at just the right time....with acess to unlimited CASH for bribing anyone with money or blackmail.
Remember when Bush took office...there was a FBI investigation ongoing on Clinton for High Treason for the above, and a host of suspicious interactions with . Bush's first lct ls President was to shut down all ongoing investigations of Bill Clinton...and "start fresh".
There was no doubt that Clinton told GW if he goes down he would take Bush's father down with him. Bush saved Clinton.
America could be gone within the next two decades either from illegal immigration and the riots and street warfare that is surly just around the corner from them. Muslims coming in from both US borders and setting up cells based in Dearborn Mich. and Minnesota. They are in position, they have a sympathitic US President, the Sec. of State (and former President) in their pocket, and out military spead out way to thin. Its the perfect time to strike...
You have 1/3 the country America hating, Christian loathing, Liberal Communists bent on helping any group that will aid them in destroying the Capitalist System and those pesky Christians. You have 1/3 who don't care who wins as they fall in line with whomever holds the power, finally you have 1/3 who fight and stand up for America. The exact same ratio our Founding Fathers had in 1776, one Commander said when he was surrounded by the enemy..."well boys we have them right where we want them now".
Obama is a pawn, he is not a major player. Hillary is though. The cabinet of the US is now made up of Socialists and Communists for the first time in our history. Hillary was tutored/mentored by the man who formed the ACLU.... a devote Communist and Marxist.
This country is on the verge of a Civil War, the danger to our way of life has never been greater. Not only has our government been taken over by enemies of democracy, but the population has largely been brainwashed into hating each other, and trusting the government while ignoring the US Constitution. Our rule of law is gone, judges are appointed by political agenda, and the President is not eligible to hold office....and no one even cares. We are the Roman Empire, we are facing the same fall as they did, by the same means. Its all lining up in a perfect fit, our enemies are called "friends" by the government, and our people, the patriots are the new enemy of the Obama reign.
